Out with alpenmilch80, KiwiLeon and 11hpg11 on our way to the Waihaha hut for an overnight adventure and grabbing a few caches along the way. Quick find in the dark. Signed as team Waihaha - TFTC

Not much room for treasure in there so just left a log. Was cool to take a stroll of the beaten path for us. Huge area that domain! TFTC!
Decided we needed a bit of a walk around today after all the junk we have eaten this Easter up visiting family near here. Clearing out Kihikihi was the goal. Found the final of one of the multis near here so this was next on our list, nice quick find among the rosemary. Thanks for the cache
One of the pictures gave it away so I knew where to head for on this one, having taken a walk around there in January. Must of been the ice cream as found relatively easy (tried a different technique). Signed both caches.
I hadn't planned on this one but biking companion had so off we went after finding Lock Up and an ice cream. Great place. Was an easy find. Signed both caches as we weren't sure if we had to. Tucked both away in their little hidey hole.
Plenty of action here today. where 2 containers.
I signed log in silver one.
Cheers

Found it. Will be good in future when you can pick fruit as well as find it
Found 2 cache at GZ, signed the one marked "replacement". You can smell the dirt here, TFTC
Dodging the rain and attempting to snare a few random caches as we head southward, kind of!
Wy more mud than dirt here today!
Once at GZ we made a straightforward find. All in order; signed the log, then cache re-hidden safely, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Took a bit of a wrong turn with our walk to this one but got there on the end. Two caches at gz we only signed one. Tftc
Miss 8 and I were doing a bit of local geocaching this evening. We found it funny that our caching friends from Hawke's Bay had also found this cache today and we ended up giving them a quick call to help us with our find. We signed both logs.
Never been here before, surprised by how many facilities there were. Busy place with lots of dog walkers. Two caches in the one spot, so signed both? TFTC
As we got there several dog walkers suddenly appeared. Not sure if they were checking us out but made the find and departed. Thanks
Not a lot of activity here when I made my find. Found two caches so signed both.
I couldn't smell the dirt.
Thanks Cats&Dragons

Heya owner!
There are two caches here, one under the concrete and one semi buried in the dirt.
Have signed both logs and left the containers together under concrete. May want to amalgamate the logs
Cheers

#192. Used to come here all the time as a young fella when my father worked on one of the midget/tq teams - looks a bit different now though. Navman a bit wild and just about to dnf it when a familiar shape caught my eye. Nice to keep things fresh. Log nice and dry still. Tftc.
We wanted to find this one as my husband raced here many years ago hence our login name. Found this with ease. Tftc.
Too easy. Love coming down here to watch the stockcars go at it and try and send each other to hospital. TFTC. Found with mod22h
115 On my way home late at night from Te Kuiti. Thought I would try in the dark. Success.
While staying at Te Awamutu for a few days. I went and visited Kihikihi. And located some caches down there. I easy leased that this as fairly close to the final of another multi cache that I had solved and found so it was just a short walk over to this site. It looks like they are doing major work at the site?
thank you for the cache and another smiley face. All was well with the cache.
thank you for the cache and another smiley face. All was well with the cache.
I came back for a second go now another cache has been placed there and was pleased to find it was exactly where I was looking the last time. Now a quick stop at the bakery before heading South for the weekend.
Girls vs boys- last one of the day final score girls 6 boys 3, thanks for the re hide squirrel nutcase easy find, re hidden well
Another big day mission with Gap (of Fap and Gap). Today, our plan is to knock off Kakepuku... However, I still have a few scattered caches to visit.
This cache is driving me insane... A fifth time back here and we couldn't find the darn thing again. And it was only recently replaced. That's it... I've had enough... A horse event was in progress, so we sneaked in and searched the usual spots. Failing to find anything, we prepared a replacement (camouflaged mint tin) and left it in place. TFTC.

An impressive sporting complex but no cache or replacement cache could be found. It is good to see that a replacement has since been placed as this place is worth a visit.
I got right to GZ but couldn't find anything resembling a cache but found a black cord attached to the fence and wondered if this was supposed to keep it in place. Bit of a mystery but I will keep an eye on this and will come back another day. I was amazed to see how big this Domain was and how much activity is packed into it. I do like seeing what is off the main road in these smaller towns, thank you.
1.30 pm. I see somebody has been here today, but not logged yet. Now, that would have been funny.
Found our way to GZ, but no luck and we saw that there were other DNFs. Luckily we were able to contact the CO who okayed a replacement after confirming the location, so we returned later and left a black mint tin with waterproof log which we luckily had with us.
Searched for this caching with alpenmilch80 on day #3 of a 3 day road trip to the Taranaki.
Found a cable tie that may have been tied to a cache, but no cache
Thanks!

Hunted for ages, obviously gone. A bit of a shame as this was going to be my 16th cache for the day. This was the only cache I couldn't find so a bit disappointing to get the last cache a "didn't find it"
Out with Gap (of Fap and Gap) and a couple of kids. We managed to escape rainy Rotorua... and the Waikato was marginally better...
We were nearby so decided to have another go at this and from the track side. Still no find here and convinced this is missing.

On our way home from Rotorua and visiting this little town to see some new friends - decided to grab a couple of caches before night fall - but alas this one was not to become a smilie for us - found the concrete that others talked about and after having found a very devious hide earlier today we even checked that it was not hidden 'within' the concrete as a camo - piles of autum leaves moved but still nothing - found something that looked like it may have been 'connected' to the cache but NO cache - think CO needs to check up on this one
As the last people to find this back in April - I feel I must apologise for a potentially confusing log - we made the find during a weekend pony club show and the help referred to was more in the way of the parking variety and certainly not in the cache finding. We found this cache relatively quickly and replaced as found, fairly sure most muggles were more interested in horses than what we were up to.
The first day of School Holidays... On a mission with Gap (of Fap and Gap) to re-trace steps to Raglan. Lost a gps unit along the way, so we're hoping to find it at one of last weekends' cache finds... We're cache hunting as we go.
This cache is proving to be my nemesis... This is my second time back and this time I have an extra pair of eyes to corroborate my story. We found the likely location for the cache, and unless this one was actually a chunk of concrete, then it has gone again. I note two points of interest:
1. It hasn't been found since April;
2. The last finders report having the help of all manner of people... Muggles presumably. This can never be guaranteed as a good thing. Muggles don't have our appreciation for hidden boxes and have a habit of returning to the hide after we've left...
I'm just venting... Please check again

Day 3 of our long caching weekend in the Waikato. A quick find, once we got detoured due to the pony club meet happening! TFTC
Day 3 of the KiwiFruitsNZ, Vamber, alpenmilch80 Huntley caching trip, with a focus on events and specific cache requirements.
This one was the first find of the day and a fun cache. We had assistance from a wide range of people from Cadets through to junior equestrians!

Another lunch break spent finding blimmin dot day caches. Grabbed this one while reminiscing about a great pony club camp we had here many years ago.
Well I have started at number 5 I will have to come back to the others some other time to smell more dirt.TFTC
No motorsports on at this time, just some horse activity (races or showjumping?) in the distance. tftc
Out for the day, heading to an evening meeting in Hamilton it was time to clean up solved puzzles and multi's that we spoiling our smilie face map.
Lots of dirt, some mud and some white butterflies drinking at the muddy puddle. [^]
Mr S got this one without too much trouble, not a soul around on a wednesday afternoon, but I bet it's noisy and dusty when there are races on.
Thanks Cats&Dragons for another smilie face. Making inroads into your side of the Mamakus'. [^]

We grabbed this cache as we passed through having spent some time with friends near Arapuni. We came at the cache from the wrong direction but eventually worked out were we needed to be. It was interesting to see a polo match being played in the nearby domain. Not something you see every day. TFTC
Small detour on our way back to Auckland, GPS battery died as I approached GZ. Still knowing C&D I thought it would be in a sensible place and it was. t4tc
Been meaning to get this cache for at least a year as we are over here at the speedway quite often. Finally got around to it. TFTC
Didn't know there was a speedway in Kihikihi! Found the one at Paradise Valley maybe 2 years ago. Just in TA for the week, stuck inside all day for a course and not used to it. Trying to get out in the fresh air morning and evening, so might as well find caches. I had a quick panic at first since GZ appeared to have been recently trimmed back, but it was an easy find in the end. Cache is more a micro than a small in my opinion because it would not take a TB or most GC.
Oh! Just realised this is find number 600 for me! Yay!
Oh! Just realised this is find number 600 for me! Yay!
Took the long way around to get to this cache as we didn't notice the open gates, but we found the cache so it was all good. TFTC
Following the recent DNF log I will disable until I pass that way in the next couple of weeks
This is on our list whenever we drive in the area but there's usually events on. Chanced it today and not a soul around, but unfortunately neither is the clue! The new planting in the area and a stump suggest a clean up... pic added of where e think it should have been!

We always enjoy a visit to Kihikihi, as one of us lived here as a preschooler. Interesting to note the things that have changed - and those that haven't! This was our first visit to the speedway track - thanks for showing us.
Yay finally able to grab this one.
Nice and quiet this morning and found a nice new clean log.

On the way to Te Awamutu to round up some puzzle caches that I've recently solved.
This was the first stop in Kihikihi. The cache was missing and I searched all of the trees in the vicinity. Logged maintenance, then carried on caching in the area. Decided to drop a 35 mil film canister as a temporary cache until it can be replaced. Discovered that it is now disabled.

10250… Very busy spot today, lots of budding Black Caps and Polo Champs in residence. TFTC.
I stopped to visit a friend up the road and was so close I had to grab this one. A quick find though the bushy one is not soooo bushy - it looks like it is a bit diseased you may want to shift it. TFTC
Stopped by for a visit on our return to Auckland. We had a slow walk to GZ as the was a dog walking muggle just shead. Soon located then back on the road TFTC.
Took a longish route to give pound hound a run around, nice easy find as no-one else mad enough to be out in the rain today! TFTC
There were a group of people, working on the track, so initally thought I wouldn't be able to get this cache. Worked out I could get to GZ another way (which was easier than the first) and managed the find. Had just place back when more muggles came around the corner. Very busy place on the first day of spring.
Nice spot. A few muggles around walking dog, riding horse and driving digger! Thanks
Found during a short stop in our favourite town with the best bakery in NZ.
Luckily the grounds were quiet. Took TB Jack the penguin.TFTC

All quiet here this morning. Just a couple of muggles walking their dogs. Left 'Jack' penguin trackable.
