Mogni was in town for business again and tonight was my allocated night for catch up and caching. Picked her up after work and started the slow caching route back to her overnight digs.
Despite this being archived we were still able to find it. It is still there! Well a mint tin with a log book and lots of names is anyway!

(Sun. 23 April, 2017) Shortly after finding a BFE cache, I tried for this one using a common MDT (Muggle Deception Technique ) to no avail unfortunately. No Mega Bison was located... I even checked the most obvious of all spots on an object such as this, lol . I did take a pic though, it being Anzac weekend and all [^] TFTH and challenge honeysucker
Found on third visit after lunch at the nearby Grand North Pub (cheap $10 lunch special). Clue helped heaps. First time we think it wasn't there. Second time sort of knew where it would be but vertigo prevented me getting that low. Third time geopartner found it after poking fingers in several likely spots. Confirming it is no longer a bison.
On a short 'test ride' of the newly restored bicycle this morning,
I dropped by this 'orrible little cache again to see if I could find the damn thing
Last visit or two were a waste of caching time [:o]
And after a goodly 15 minutes of poking,
I was resigned to another DNF
But wait ...
... a clue has appeared in the cache listing
It was still a tricky find,
but one I had in paw a scant 5 minutes later
TFTC .... at last !!

While driving along Grand Junction Road, RyeRye467 and I stopped for a cache. Thanks to the hint, we had the cache in hand after a short search.
Thanks for the cache.

Day 204 of "consecutive days with finds". Cache #1304.
This afternoon, I had a job to do in that area, and I found this cache on my way home.
Parked my car next to GZ, and start searching. Could not find it. Read the hint, and searched again. Cache was found. I checked there before, but I missed it.
Signed the log book. and put it back. Log book was a bit wet, but not too bad.
Thanks for the cache, honeysucker.

Tonight I joined the inner circle of people who have found this hide. TFTC. 27/05/2016, 7:38 PM Find #2196
Night time searching made it harder, especially with only a phone torch! But we found it. Half of my team and half of Team 420.
Bonza! A quick find at GZ with my niece and great caching buddy jackruff. TFTC!
Ismartis and I had been busy solving puzzles and decided tonight we would go and look for a few of them, mostly BFE puzzles.
Driving past and Ismartis says "let's stop here", and I say "oh no not another gun" I don't have much success with guns. [?]
Anyway we stop and start looking, thankfully the cache was found reasonably quickly after looking at the hint. Disappointed not to find the said bison tube.
Thanks for the cache honeysucker.

Headed up the lower northeast with geoson Sebastbat for Oz/Survival Day caching!
Driving past on the way home, checked the logs and Surprise!!! it's back again.
So we pulled in and had a look, new info made for an easy find, but no longer a bison tube.
Glad to get this off the list, the damage to the gun worries me.

I have tried a few times to grab this and never been sucessful, well tonight after dinner at Grand North I thought I had better give this one another go.
Thanks Mr Honeysucker, I finally got this one (its only taken like 3 years since my first DNF on this one)

So geodaughter found this cache on the app and decided to navigate us there...
Geodaughter: "Turn down this street."
Geomum: "No, That is the main driveway to the prison!"
All she could say was "ooops!"
So we parked nearby and walked to the GZ; geodaughter did the hard work of locating the cache and writing in the logbook.
Needless to say that she isn't going to be navigating us anywhere any time soon! Thanks for the cache!

No response, previous finds were a replacement that didn't last (ie: not finds!) and the gun it's meant to be on is suffering damage, chunks of rust lying underneath where people have looked. Time to go.
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention.
I am temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.
Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 28 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.
If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require.
For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days to keep everyone up to date or the cache will be treated as an abandoned cache and archived without further notice.

With the help of locus this cache was replaced a couple of weeks ago but due to xmas i havnt had time to log the replacement. New hint as well it is a canon after all
Maintenance check please.
See previous logs and dnfs.
It seems someone is either going to get a bad case of tetanus
or in trouble for vandalism with the amount of rust piled up at the bottom of this gun now.
Obvious people have been poking around and it's falling apart!
Thanks

Nup. No. Nada. Nothing....
Despite the recent log saying cache has been replaced,
all I could find in a half hour search was enough tetanus inducing rusty metal to start a junk yard!
Seriously, the bum end of this gun thingy is falling apart, and the pile of rust at the rear makes it look like many cachers have been here trying [:(!]
Given that we may get blamed for all the damage, wondering if this one may need serious review.
Needs a maintenance check honeysucker ,
will keep on the watch list and return again when someone says they find it !

Nope, nothing. Searched everywhere including at the end where all the rust it. Found a film canister and lid on the lawn with nothing in it. Not sure if this is the replacement. Think it needs CO to check please.
Reading previous logs and deciding that it was no longer there we took the liberty of replacing it. If this is not OK please let us know and we will remove the replacement and the found log. TFTC
After crawling around this structure, no bison tube was found.
So we decided to put in a temporary cache.
Could the owners please check this out. tftc

Came by at night, with pint sized cache sniffer dog and big torch.
Groped every hole I could find, rolled around leopard style under object,
swore a bit, and felt really conspicuous with security entering the nearby establishment!
Some of the most likely spots were very rusty - time for a tetanus shot !
thanks for the challenge honeysucker

Owl is rubbish at cannon hides. She has been known to make multiple trips and numerous fruitless searches before finding a cache on a cannon. Today she bent down and there it was in the first place she looked. No whacks on the head either. She had to be lucky some time!
This one got the better of me I looked everywhere - in/out/underneath etc... It was muggle mania too. Cars lined up at the intersection wondering what I was doing. I did find $5 in the car park though
I'll be back for another attempt when it's less busy.

I wish I had read the previous logs on this one..
With a nearby gardener working on the grounds, I zoomed to GZ and found the cache in the first place I looked.
In hand and as I rushed back to sign the log I got more than a crack to the head. Seriously nearly rendered me unconscious! Mr KQ thought it was funny.
Log signed with the dizzy birds spinning around my head
I never knew this piece of history was here!

Didn't find it but had a nice chat with the police officers from the near by prison.
Headed north to do some maintenance on the Premiers South Australia series grabbing some caches on the way out and on the way home.
Even the CO struggled to find it. TFTC.

Busy afternoon setting up at the Gawler show and had to swing by our storage shed for a few bits & pieces so this cache was the closest on our way home. Needing just one cache for day 30 of 31 Days of August challenge this seemed a good choice. It proved to be an easy find which is rare for us & canon caches! Now home to sleep before our busy working weekend begins... We still have to find a drive by cache tomorrow before this challenge finishes!
SL, cheers to all who contributed to this cache

Found in seconds. Took a bit longer, and the use of special tool to extract it though. Was it really supposed to be there, or have the cache creep fairies been at work?
TFTC guys!

I have driven past this cache so many times and left it in case I needed an easy to find cache during my 366 day run.
Now that I have reached my 366 days, I couldn't resist doing the locus cache here tonight as I drove past
A nice quick find at a place that I remember coming to see a stage play at when I was a child....

Found it.... thanks to my muggle mate who is very good at the leopard crawl. Nice hide. Didn't have a pen so I took a pic as proof. TFTC.
