5am...who starts caching at 5am[?] That's get home from caching time!
Apparently CPwanderer starts at 5am and so we left my house at that time, locus cache'd all day and returned at about 12.30am the following morning after a tally of 47 smileys
Picked up Laighside Legends and then met up with firesafe and Doctor Owl and family at Warooka for a laugh filled, scenic adventure in the bottom of YP and Innes National Park.
Having never been this far down YP before, I was constantly amazed by the gorgeous scenery and views on a warm day filled with blue skies and even bluer water [^]
While logging this find, I now see that it has been archived. Such a shame that other geocachers won't see this area as this was a gorgeous spot with great scenery below: a pretty little bay and shags on the rocks.

Quickly located!! The cache container was falling apart so we grabbed a replacement from Locus Cache's vehicle .... all is well again.
A trail of cachers followed the cliff top to the cache. Great views to be had and not as hard to reach as that other cache down the track...
Nice nature walk with Tk2, although there were a couple of fishermen that I am sure were wondering what the hell we were doing. tftc
Found in great company, walk was further than I had expected but the views were worth it,tftc
Found it ! Been fishing here for years every Easter. Now I know why people come peering over the cliff
Found with Shrek4. Nice track though the bush, view to view.

Looked like a challenge we had to accept.
A Liz and Bruce multi to add to our New Year collection.
Persistence paid off. After a slight detour to the most awesome beach, stage two took us to more awesome views! Umm, yep, it's awesome - beautiful blue sea and sky, and islands in the distance, pelicans on the rocks. Thanks L&B and other maintainers
Day three of roadtrip on YP with geosons Timotatus (L driving) and Sebastbat to bring in the New Year!
Thanks for the fun and entertainment cache hiders. Happy New Year

It was late in the day. The wind was really blowing hard. I was tired. That little walk seemed to take forever...

A very out of the way place which we arrived at just after dark so camped the night. A nice morning walk to the first coords then a walk down to the beach for a look. Lots of different types of sponges washed up and an orange 8 armed starfish. Well, it was except that something bigger and hungry has nibbled almost 4 of them away. Interesting to see the inner workings of the starfish arms, though, but it was sad as well. Left only footprints but did some CITO, aware of the types of rubbish that kill turtles and dolphins. Headed off to get the final cache which is dry and in good nick. Rescued Rolly TB, LN. TFTC
Nice view. Spot on with the first tag and then final spot has anice view. Not sure the container will last long, but thanks to the last for fixing it. Took nothing but left BUG (Rolly the dog)
This cache is now ready to go. Our thanks to Ian and Penny for helping us out.
4046th total find at around 12:18
Maintenance completed today. The cache at WP1 has suffered quite badly from UV degradation, and we didn't spot the spice container mentioned by pprass. (It may be there but we didn't spot it.)
WP1 is now a metal tag wired securely (but not tightly) to a branch of the bush at the appropriate location.
At GZ we discovered that the cache is in good condition and the log book has plenty of space left. We added a couple of things to the collection of swaps.
Took: Nothing
Left: Car, micro container & dolphin keyring
Thanks Liz and Bruce for the cache

We will organize some replacements for wp 1 and the final cache in the next few weeks.
Found an arrangement of white stones & a broken plastic container but no coords to next stage. Sad really as we were introducing a friend to the game....
Found an old broken plastic container which could be the original container and the stones in place looked like we found the spot, but could find no cache. So we enjoyed the view and had to move on. Will watch to see if anyone else can find it. Thanks for the view!
Found at 2.25pm GAFF2. No trouble in finding the first container and a great view from there, but oh is it in a mess. Also the co-ords are very hard to read. So we replaced the container with a spice container that we carry in the back of the Patrol and retraced the co-ords hoping we got them right (they were!)
We were not sure if we had to go down to the beach for the final, but after reading a log, that was soon sorted out. As we walked along the cliff top we disturbed dozens of locusts and we thought - this is what it's going to be like at the Nullabour!
Thanks Liz and Bruce.

finally found it after first starting to walk there. the girls finally decided it was too far and i happily agreed.
Well we found the first part, but going by all the signs I don't think many are welcome in these parts anymore. We have serious doubts the cache will last through winter as the container has all but disintegrated. Once we saw where the second set of coordinates would take us (looks like more private property) we decided not to bother.

Easily found both locations with a nice cliff top walk between. Saw a couple of fisherman high on the cliff top dropping their lines about 20m into the sea. It appeared that they were catching something whilst perched on their ledge TNLN TFTC. Bommy
A pleasant stroll between the 2 points. From some of the logs we thought they must be miles apart but it was really a short stroll.

We were surprised that some cachers only find the first cache as the walk to the second is eqaully impressive. Two different outlooks and a worthwhile half an hour spent.
Loving this coastline.

Thanks Liz and Bruce.
A couple of great way points.
The first gave a view down that long beach, off the cliffs.
The second's cliff had interesting rock ledges in the water with rock pillars rising up. The center one had a breeding colony of Cormorants - never seen that before.
Thanks for the walks, Robmc.

Beautiful.... such contrasts. There had been horses(?) on the beach to the west and lots of foot prints but no one was visable at 3pm. Great cache, cheers Liz and Bruce!
A nice quick easy find. Just what I needed as I had to be back in Moonta in a couple of hours.
More great views from this spectacular coastline. Not sure about crossing the fencline to get to the final location.

Found with Izzy while camping at Butlers Beach. Came from Butlers beach side, so had a bit of a walk, but found it no probs. First part was not lying on ground pretty much in the open, so hid it a bit better. TFTC

And with the help of a uhf radio we found the second point. A rare Liz and Bruce multi. The interesting thing was that even Liz and Bruce couldn't find the final gz without being given the coordinates. cmon, it's only been 6 years and 4600 odd caches since they placed it...
We found the first point easily enough. Signed the log, and grabbed the final co-ords with photographic evidence

After driving off, we had 2nd thoughts and returned as we felt guilty about the swap we made. We took the noisy kid and left something more equitable.
Found this cache with C3(copper Coast Cachers) while attempting to get to as many caches as possible up and down the leg. We left home at 4:45am and got home about 10:45pm! Myself, goingtheredoingthat and Delta Echo were the 'oldies' in the group, plus some 'newbies' - Slasher, Dragon, Bula and Jimbo.
This is my second attempt at the cache - happy to report that i found it!! (well it does help GREATLY when you have 9 other people in your caching team searching at the same time!!!)

Being new to the sport of geocaching, mum wanted to follow the GPS arrow straight through all the bushes on the way to Waypoint 2, but I convinced her to go back to the path , which was a good decision. Nice walk with a rewarding view at the end. Took red dice and left pathtag. Find #223.
Cant claim the first half but found the one that counted..!! Another good one for the legs.!! TFTC
Sixteenth find of the day a Bit of walking involved but not to far and the views are worth it. I found the first cache but Margieh found the second after tripping and nearly falling on top of the cache. Replace the container on the second location so sound last for years.
It would be much appreciated if the next geocacher heading out to do this cache would take along a medium sized container to replace the one that is damaged. Thankyou.
Found the cache at 3.45pm. I enjoyed walk along to two caches. One of the container need new badly also some rusty so I clean up (sorry I didnt have spare container with me) SL. Thanks Liz and Bruce for organising the cache and hunt.
Didnt find it - we paid the $6 fee to get into Bulters park. Drove for about 1 hr on very rocky road - only to end up at a locked gate - which the geocache was on the other side - still a few km up road. We didnt have time to find alternate road.
We later found out that you do not need to pay the $6 entry fee. Geocache is up another dirt road - closer to Marion Bay.
We will back some other time to try and find it!!

The stress of the kids driving meant we missed that you could drive a lot closer to the first waypoint than we did, so we did more walking than we had to. Cheers. MODU.
We certainly enjoyed the views from both spots. Took Dolphin Keyring, Left 40's Badge.
Rocky Glen Grommets found the first cache quickly and opted to drive back a short distance cos the weather was very extreme - 40 degrees - glad we did cos it was a bit of a hike to get the second cache - great views though - a couple of boats anchored at sea and of course the one on the beach! Found by Grom Mum - left lizard and took toothbrush.
Nice walk on a very breezy day! Sleepy lizard guarding the first cache. No snakes fortunately!

A nice multi-cache. It was just one of those days where everywhere you went was crowded. Still managed to find a gap in the crowds and make the find.
Doubled up with Stralker which was fun.
Didn't see any snakes, but a sleepy lizard was guarding the cache and the red baron was flying over above!

Found the 1st point without a problem. We started to wonder where we were headed as we traipsed across the cliff top, but it made sense when we got there. Would like to know the story behind the wreck below.
Cache is very damp and smelly and starting to go mouldy. Unfortunately, we didn’t have anything with us to clean it up (We should have read some of the logs before we went searching).

Found during our stay at butlers beach, soph found both parts much 2 DR.E annoydness. There was a fishing boat grounded on the beach nearby, both the engines missing. T: Sticker and Christmas Tree L: weird finger puppet and flag
Bumped into some year nine school kids who had been hiking for 17km along to beach towards Butlers caravan park. It was blowing about 30knots on top of the cliff and they planned to stay at the car park for the night with just tarps and sleeping bags. After locating GZ, and viewing the shipwreck below, we assisted to find them somewhere a bit more sheltered. Unfortunately we left our spare big cache containers in our other car and only had micro's with us, so we were unable to replace cache. Would the next person please be able to replace the cache container. The contents are dry but still mouldy.
Cheers and thanks for the beautiful views.

Found 1st part no trouble, T Tim the Turtle TB. Proceeded to part 2. what a view, spectacular. Papa Scrub & Scrub Boy climbed down onto the beach to check out a modern day shipwreck (30ft aluminium charter boat from QLD we think, awash on the shore) The inside of cache is a bit mouldy from being wet. Lid is cracked

The second of Liz and Bruce’s caches in the area that we visited today, and this one provided, yet again, some beautiful views at both locations of this small multi. At point 1, we were fearful that the waypoint had been flattened by something that had crashed through the undergrowth that had enormous wheels and very large ground clearance. The tracks of this beast went right through my initial GZ. As the minutes in location ticked on, the GPSr homed in a little more accurately and the waypoint was found safe and undamaged. The walk along the cliff top to the final GZ was easy and we found the cache after a couple of minute’s search. Great views of the bay at GZ. Thanks again to Liz and Bruce for a great cache. TNLN.
first find for the week at yorkes - did it early to escape the heat , a pleasant walk early in the morning -left ghost took t-rex

2nd L&B cache for the day, another nice beach location. We were berated for driving along the private road instead of the road about 200m away! Nevermind!! Relocated the geomobile to a more public place like we were told!! And found the 2nd part after a pleasant walk.
Left a patch Took the golfball

First one way, then the next. No snakes today, but did come across a beautiful Sleepy Lizard. Took St Francis Winery keyring, left a fridge magnet. Cheers.
Headed to this after spending the night bush camping at Butler's Beach (Really roughed it in TRAK05 last night with a roast dinner, bread & butter pudding and a bottle of red before we settled down to watch a DVD!)
Spent a bit of time looking for the first one, then the second one was an easy find.
Took Bart Simpson finger puppet and left Christmas deco.

First part quickly spotted by me, then after a hike through lots of grass seeds (long boots recommended this time of year) Fab got the 2nd part. Beautiful views over this little bay, a very nice spot. Unluckily the cache lid has cracked so contents were quite damp after the recent rain, tried to replace it in a position to keep the rain out a bit, next visitor might like to bring a replacement. TNLNSL, cheers Liz & Bruce.
nice bit of walking here. found both without any trouble.
the lid of the cache had a couple of cracks in it and was quite wet. we didn't have a suitable container with us so the best we could do was to place a large flat stone on top of the container to keep the water off.
this shouldn't make it any harder to find as the coordinates were spot on.
thanks Liz and Bruce.

Both locations found quickly and thanks to the cold weather we had absolutely no worries about snakes. This cache also had a small amount of water in it which we emptied out. Took the allen key which was starting to corrode badly and left a plastic sheriff's badge. Cheers L & B.
