Well Am I?Yes I am!The coords soon revealed and it was off to search for the cache.PrezDough, LTEC, Jonny GoldCoast and myself made the trek to hunt this one down. We had just left the nearby Cache Crawl event and were keen to grab one more.We arrived, we struggled, we searched. High and low.Another cacher rocked up, he struggled, we all had enough and about to throw in the towel when we decided to try another angle.BOOM I think Ive got it.You bloody ripper. 30 mins here and finally got the goods. All signed, all returned and good luck to the next finder.!I visited 3 TB.TFTC.
We were in Seymour finishing the Cache Crawl and a group assault was planned. Had a little assistance with the puzzle, and then with the hide. I guess this means that Im not smarter, but maybe better at collaborating / cheating, than a fifth grader. Tftc.
Something special or unusual goes here:It turns out I am smarter than a 5th Grader. But as it turns out, not so good as a cache finder. Luckily a nearby event provided plenty of searchers for this cache at the time we also searched for it. And also luckily for us one of thos crews managed to make the find. Right place, right time. The Generic Bit:The 2024 Geocaching Victoria Event Crawl: Day 4: Echuca crawling back to Seymour and then onto Kaniva. Two days of traveling over from S.A. and three days of Events, numerous Adventure Labs, lots of fun, mishaps, and even a few caches found as we crawled around in search of smilies. My companions for the Crawl were Muff1. So Good to catch up with lots of caching friends. [:X]***Thanks royds16 for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
After a night in Tatura, time for today's events.Collected a few AdLabs and caches on the way around. Not a good time of the year for swims! Probably just as well as it took me a while to locate the cache!Had solved this years ago but never picked it up.It was the only one I had in Seymour to do today. Thanks, Robmc.
I was in Seymour attending the Great Victorian Cache Crawl Event and having solved this puzzle set off to make the find. At GZ I met up with two other teams and after an extensive search and a couple of PAFs the cache was found. Thank you royds16 for the challenge and the cache.
Brisal5 and ourselves had made the decision to attend 'The Great Victorian Cache Crawl' , with Brisal5 arriving at our home on the Thursday evening. The journey started Friday morning with both of us picking up the odd cache as we travelled towards Riddell Creek for the prequel event and then onto Sunbury for our overnight accommodation. The first event of the official weekend was at Maccca's and the excitement was building, then it was time to find caches and AL's along the road and onto Malmsbury for morning tea. Unfortunately it had started to rain with umbrella's and rain jackets out in force. The next stop was Bendigo where we were warmed up with micaparmedic's fantastic soup, thank you, here we caught up with friends and the usual geocaching chatter was all around us. I am sure you have the gist of how our weekend went, finding caches, chatting, eating all this on a loop until we arrived in Seymour for the final goodbyes. We cannot thank the committe enough for this exceptionally well organised weekend. All the caches and AL's that we found were all in good condition and not requiring any maintenance. SL TFTC
Holy heck! I needed help from Knightshift to solve the puzzle due to the one word that threw me! Then needed more help to find the sneaky bugger! Great cache thanks so much for hide!
Out and about with omegaman, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. This is one of the caches found today. Found on our way to Shepparton. It's good to finally turn this into a smile. Thanks royds16 for the cache.

We solved the puzzle many months ago, however, that seemed to be the easier part of this journey. We visited GZ twice while we are staying here in Seymour, and both times we were approached by somebody who would like to sell us something that wasnt legal. Given we had had no luck, we called on a previous finder who gave us a hint, at this time, we came back early in the morning before there was much activity around here.So well hidden, but now we finally have a smiley here. A FP for the deviousness of this Hide. Thanks Royd61Domsky
Travelling home to Melbourne from Wangaratta with Connie (ConnieandRick), we stopped here for a break and to stretch our legs. I had solved this a long time ago, and even looked once before (when there were some muggles around). Connie had also independently solved it as well. That was the easy part. We searched for some time before checking previous logs. It seems most finders used the Phone a Friend option, so that's what we resorted to. And I'm glad we did, as I don't think we would have found it or, if we had, it would have taken a very long time. This is a deviously clever hide. Thanks to royds16 for the cache. I'm giving it a favourite.
Muzza was driving us both back to Melbourne after a sucessful assault on the HSS series near Wangaratta. This was our second stop. We had both independently solved it, but both agreed that might have been the easier part of this find. I had the right idea and Muzza was in the right location but we only put the two together for the find after a PAF.
Maybe I am days. Trick hide and the puz made me think. Boy that was a tough hide! Found on a sojourn all around during QOGM 2023 adventure. A fun jaunt with lots of dust, mud and starry skies. Thanks royds16 and clear skies from TeamAstro. Cache the planet! On the journey home from Longreach QOGM 2023 having spent a great time caching with a great bunch of people. Teamed up with TeamAstro to find these caches. Just loving these outback trails, red dust, green foliage and blue skies! Tough cache, sometimes wonder if todays kids are smarter. Thanks royds16 for placing this cache, for bringing me here and contributing to this great game for others to enjoy. Happy trails, Deanside
With a huge portion of the Victorian caching community enjoying their pilgrimage north to Longreach, chook(nchunk) and I decided to plan our own little mini-adventure, targetting adlabs, solved puzzles, faves, TDOCs and anything else that piques our interest along the way. Day One: Seymour, Nagambie, Shepparton, Echuca, Deniliquin. This was our first stop. We searched everywhere amongst the fallen autumn leaves, then resorted to a paf, who led us straight to the sneaky cache. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, royds16 ~~
Day 1 of Chook and OzHockeyChick's "QOGM-consolation" roadtrip, targeting caches in three states over four days of fun, friendship, laughter and adventure. Coming from Western Victoria we don't get this way all that often, and we had attempted this cache a few years ago. At that time there were muggles everywhere, so we never even got out of the car. Today with OHC, it was a totally different scenario and not a soul was around. We gave it a good search and at one stage was within millimetres before going off on tangents searching elsewhere. Eventually we resorted to a PAF who returned us to the correct location and we soon had the cache in hand. So good to finally get a smiley on this one. TFTC and the puzzle royds16.
Found on our way back to SA after attending the Mega Event in Rutherglen, searching for caches along the way. A quick dash through Seymour and Heathcote before camping out in Wellsford State Forest near Bendigo for the night. Thanks for the cache royds16!
Found on the way home from the Rutherglen mega event in the company of beckNmonts and Ahomburg….having solved the puzzle a while ago and in the company of 2 previous finders I thought how hard can this be…surely not harder than the puzzle….wrong, Wrong, WRONG!! We did several circuits of our GZ…an angry bee dance of sorts! After a lot of discussion, scratching around and poking with sticks a PAF was made….his recollection was the same as my companions….so a more determined search ensued and just like that, the cache was revealed to much rejoicing and relief. Phew!
Found cache and signed log on the way home from a day of awesome adventure at Eildon and beyond with dalerious .
I did the math and extrapolated and got a number.
What I was meant to do with that number I could not work out.
I would say that the secret is hidden somwhere in the description.
Do I deserve to claim this find, maybe, maybe not.
I will leave it up to the discretion of royds16, to which I say thank you for the clever puzzle and hide.

Well as it seems I am smarter than a 5th grader.. Well in the puzzle sense but not searching .. had to reach out for the find. Very impressed .. a favourite point given
A concerted effort today on our way to the Whittlesea Mega. No dog barking, no excess water laying around, maintenance vest on and tried a little harder than last time. Success was ours. As for Grade 5 maths - well we needed to do a refresher course with help from friends! Replaced saturated log sheet and SL at 1.45pm and put back in place. #9191 TFTC royds16
Thought we would try this one again as we checked the flood damage in Seymour. The barking dog is still nearby and distracts one from searching. The flood waters have been right up into this area, so not sure if the cache is still in place. So even though we might have worked out the 5th grade maths we came away empty handed and with a blue frown today. Such a sad sight as people clean up the mess.
In Seymour for a family gathering and we thought we would grab a few caches while catching up. After having lunch we strolled to the main street murals and then along to the Vietnam memorial wall and then finally down to the Light Horse Memorial Park. Lovely afternoon had by all, even the non-geocachers, but shame we got a few DNFs.
Solved this one in advance and the whole family got the same answers, but couldn't work out what the last step was. Even going to a VCE maths teacher couldn't understand. After a PAF, we understood what was needed and not sure that the correct wording has been used here.
Even at GZ looking for the cache, we had to use a PAF and I had already looked there, but it was extremely buried unground pretty well. Returned but not completely underground this time.
Thanks for the cache

This is our 2nd attempt to look for the cache at gz. Unfortunately there were a lot of muggles not far away. We thought we were looking in a good spot, but just couldn’t make a find. We will try again next time we are going thru. Thanks for the challenging hide.
Am I smarter than a 5th grader? Apparently not. Geez, I’d worked out most of the puzzle, then it all went downhill when I needed to extrapolate. Clearly I don’t remember learning this in school, and needed a PAF to get over the line.
On our way home from a couple of days caching in and around Nagambie with Crustyvarmint and juzzmagic, I asked for a stop so Steve & I could have another go at trying to find this cache. We were here about a year ago, but as a carnival was on across the road and there were eyes on us, we aborted the mission.
Today, with time getting away from us, we were lucky to have a previous finder with us. Using the hot, cold system in keeping with the primary school theme, we soon had the little sucker in our hands.
Thank you royds16 for a challenging puzzle and hide.

Happy Australia Day everyone and it looks like it’s a good day to go for a drive and pick up a few caches up north of Melbourne.
Air con and cruise control on, plenty of water in the fridge so off I go.
Reached my destination for the morning which is Seymour as there is a couple of Labs, Multi’s and Mystery caches to do.
Sometimes I’m smarter then a 5th Grader but a lot of times I’m not and this time I wasn’t.
Got a lot of the way and with some googling and of course a couple of hints I came up with a set of coords.
GZ was nice and quiet and most people seemed to be at the park for Australia Day celebrations.
Scratched around a bit and as per the previous finder had trouble with the log.
Thanks royds16 TFTC.

Well this one was a bit of a challenge. Like many previous logs we were able to do the first part of the challenge but got pretty stuck with the extrapolate part… however thanks to some help we were able to get there in the end and also find the cache once we had the coords. Thanks for the challenge! Found on a trip away with mrx2 and diablo1234.
Out for a mental health break and catching up with some friends. Checking out the area and finding some caches. I had a great day in the beautiful area. Thanks for placing the caches. Out with Monica_is_evil and mrx02. Great spot. Log is wet hard to pull out with out damaging it. TFTC
This was sol ved some time ago and today, as I was on my way to Wangaratta, I called by to sign the log. I had to PAF because it eluded me for a while, but, with some guidance, the job was done.
Thanks for the puzzle and the cache royds16.
Thanks for the puzzle and the cache royds16.
We had solved the puzzle and determined the number of legs without a problem but interpretation of the next instructions caused some issues. However, with the help of a local catcher we came up with a set of coordinates and could then understand the directions. This didn’t match my understanding of extrapolation. All quiet at GZ which was just as well given all the leaf litter made it difficult to find likely hiding spots. But all good in the end. Thanks to royds16 for the puzzle and cache.
Ha - not smart enough to log on time though! I think I've seen this posed to me once upon a time so with tenacity I tried and tried again. The hard part is GZ which I went back to after initially abandoning the mission in the dark - mainly due to neighbour and barking dog. In the light of day, the tricky little treasure revealed itself. TFTC and the FUN
After riding the nearby rail trail we had a pleasant cool drink at the local pub. Then I decided to look for this cache. Am I smarter than a 5th grader? It appears not as I needed to ask for help with the puzzle and finding the cache.
Took us a couple of goes to find it as the nearby dog put us off on the first try

While observing the current restrictions and guidelines to stay safe during the Covid 19 pandemic, this is one of the caches we found as we made our way to Toolamba. Grade five was many moons ago for us - fortunately we had a little help and today we graduated! Extracting the log from the container was tricky, perhaps CO may like to remove used logs.
**FEEDBACK TO CO:-** Cache needs some CO TLC, please.
Our thanks to 'royds16' for adding this cache to the geo-gameboard.

I did this cache with a lot of help with Grub62. Grub62 did a lot of the puzzle work with a bit of help from a muggle assistant. Thank you Cybergran for your helpful hint. We found that both the puzzle and the hide were testing. So it was quite an achievement to find this cache. Thanks royds16 for bringing us here and for the thrill of the chase/achievement. We also placed a new logbook in the cache as the old one was full. TFTC.
Well I have to admit I am not smarter then a 5th grader - as I needed help. I asked my muggle sister and brother-in -law for some assistance but they weren't too convinced that what they were offering me was correct. After the group effort at a local cache today I sought assistance from Cybergran V. Her help was so much appreciated. Yay that made a bit more sense and the correct co-ords were found. Now to find this cache. Reading the previous logs had us knowing this was not going to be easy. Using the satellite map narrowed down the search location as the neighbours dog was barking constantly and we thought we would be attracting a bit of attention. Well Bunadoorian finally had the cache in hand - phew!! A new log sheet was added, signed and replaced. TFTC and the challenge of working out the answers - royds16. A favourite from me for the effort!

After an amazing few days at the St Arnaud Mega, it was time to start the long journey home to Sydney with Tardis0061. Of course we would take the opportunity to visit a few additional LGAs as well as add some more numbers to our Vic Sudoku grid.
This is one we'd solved ahead of time and now was our chance to make the find. Not sure which was harder; the solve or the find. Thankfully no one was around and we were able to search in peace as it took us quite a bit of time even with some intel.

Day one of the mega trip resulted in a lot of driving, and a few select cache finds, due to the distance we had to travel. Some previously solved puzzles, some multi’s and once at our destination, some trads too. This one proved I was indeed, at least, on the same level as a fifth grader. Once I googled extrapolation of course... school was a while ago! Thanks for placing the cache royds16
Found your cache today. Road trip to The Gong Mega weekend royds16, thank you so much for placing it.
I came and I looked. I was even pretty sure what I was looking for and roughly where it would be hidden. But alas. I couldn’t find it today.
As I was preparing to leave GZ after my DNF, a friendly and helpful cacher gave me a call and confirmed what I was looking for and where it should be.
I returned to GZ and searched some more.
Returned to the geomobile and retrieved a tool and searched some more.
Returned to the geomobile and retrieved another tool and searched some more. Aha. I can see it now, but still can’t get it.
Returned to the geomobile and retrieved yet another tool. This one worked. Woo Hoo!!

Find #8199
This cache was one of two distinct parts. Solving the puzzle was straightforward. However finding the cache was a totally different story. Over quite a period of time we have made four visits to look for the cache. The first three times we left without success. We checked with a previous finder and it was confirmed that we were in the right area. This evening we went for our fourth visit and finally we located the cache in a good hide. The cache and contents were in good condition. We can finally cross this one off our list and can come to Seymour without having this nemesis hanging over our heads. Thanks royds16 for the puzzle and cache.
Reperio at 1300.
Well I never openly confess to be being smarter than anyone, but the puzzle was solved, and GZ obtained, so that’s a start. Finding geocaches however is a whole other story. We arrived at GZ today with plenty of options, but at the same time, feeling confident that with a thorough search we would eventually find it. Well after 10 mins of searching with the family, I rang a PAF to confirm our suspicions were ok. They were, and in fact, I would have run my fingers over it thinking it was part of the infrastructure there. Very nicely hidden.

A pleasant day with beautiful sunshine on a spring day. A nice enough place to stretch the ol' legs. I had looked and failed at this one a few years ago so it was great to be able to add my name to the log. A tricky hide (can see how I missed it the first time)

Well I guess the answer is yes for both the puzzle and the hide. Having solved this long along and having others asking if we had solved it and then why hasn’t we found it it was time to complete the deal when a window of opportunity opened up. GZ was muggle free and the well hidden hide was soon discovered and our names added. TFTC.
Boy did that take a while to solve. Thanks to those that kept up with the encouragement. We searched and searched and eventually after confirmation from a PAF that we were in the right place, the cache was found, signed and returned. We were looking in the right place just not hard enough.
Thanks for the cache.

This one needed a PAF to confirm we were looking in the right area. We had looked in THAT spot more than once but obviously not well enough. Thanks for the cache and bringing us here.
DAB and I had organised a road trip for a few days to go up the Hume to explore some areas we had not before. This one had been in the solved pile for a little while but I remember it not falling into place like thought it would. Some trouble with the checker numbers after the clue hinted at something but it wasn't right for me. Today as we were passing through we stopped by to collect. Thankfully the area was free of muggles and the well hidden cache was located after a few minutes of searching, not easy to get out. Signed and returned as found

Thinking we were not smarter than a 5th grader we struggled with the extrapolating but after some googling we decided what was expected. Lucky for us the checker agreed and we were ready for the next visit down the Hume. Today in the company of McLookers after a big weekend up north we detoured to a town we can't recall ever visiting before in search of the cache. It was tricky with all the possibilities of places a micro could be hidden in the expanse of GZ but lucky the male triton found it tucked away safely ready for us to sign.
Thanks royds16 for proving we are smarter than a 5th grader.

After an overnight at Mt Feathertop and an event in Wodonga, we had earmarked this cache for our trip home. The puzzle was a bit of a brain buster but I got there in the end. The hide was tricky, tricky, tricky. We stealthily poked around for a while until Mr Tritonz laid his hand on the cache. Thanks royds16.
Well, I was hoping to be smarter than a 5th grader, so when visiting Seymour for a Queen's Scout presentation, I decided to have a crack at this one.
At home before leaving I started doing the maths in my head and quickly decided that it was a task, so dragged out the pencil and paper. What do you know, first go and apparently I am smarter than a 5th grader.
After the presentation it was off to gz. Once there I looked around and thought about how many places that I could hide a micro here. This was going to have to be a methodical search on my own. Luckily there were no muggles around. Once underway it took about 4 minutes until I had located the treasure. I believe that this is anothe gap in my 81 filled.
Thankyou for an interesting puzzle and tricky hide.

Another day of adventure with Simsfamily and Neville Devil making our way up the Hume Grabbing a few caches on the way.
A fantastic day caching at awesome locations and great puzzles along the way with only the 44° temps to slow us down a little.

A fantastic day caching at awesome locations and great puzzles along the way with only the 44° temps to slow us down a little.

I had tried to solve this little guy before heading North for the Mega but was apparently wasn't smarter than a 5th Grader at the time. The first part of the puzzle was easy enough it was just the next stage that puzzled me. So I put it on the back burner for awhile.
With a trip planned for Wangaratta today I revisited the puzzle again and I was still in the same predicament as last time. On Friday I had a thought that I had previously tried and when I extrapolated this time the check agreed. So apparently I am smarter than a 5th grade just not quick .
Luckily when we visited GZ with Ausfox; and Neville_devil it was deserted unexpectedly. That made the search for the well hidden cache a lot easier.
Thank you royds16 for the mind bender

Headed off today with the Sisterhood of The Cargo pants, for a days caching.
Well I guess all three of us are, one solved the puzzle, another found it, after a suggestion by the third. Nice hide, spent too long looking in the wrong holes! TFTC

Out with the Sisters today and yes apparently we are smarter. After scrounging around where it wasn't, we found the place that it was. TFTC royds16

The Sisterhood of the Cargo Pants slipped over towards Seymour for a days caching. The weather was much milder than we expected although it got pretty soggy towards the end.
Yes, yes we are.
It was a fun day - thanks royds16

Hmmmmm, apparently we are smarter than a 5th grader, but only just! LOL
Found just after the lovely micaparamedic and I stopped to enjoy a picnic lunch in Heathcote. Man oh man, this did take us a moment though! I was looking in the Ivy, my buddy was looking low down elsewhere - but once one of us found it, it then took us a moment to work out how to retrieve it....but we did!
We then continued on and slowly made our way to the beautiful town of Alexandra today so that we could attend the Mega - and as always it was a really enjoyable day! [^]
Thanks so much for the cache royds16!

Another day of the slow trek to the Mega. Todays journey took me from St Arnaud through Bendigo to Seymour, grabbing caches along the way. TFTC.
Wow
Turns out I am smarter than a 5th grader, or at least as smart.[^]
One I figured out what the hell extrapolate means.
At GZ I was pleased as punch to get to finally use a TOT a have been carrying around for ages to easily extract the cleverly concealed cache from its hide.
I do suspect that recent "grooming" in the area may have made this find a little easier for me than it would have been for the catcher before me.
TFTC royds16 and for the clever puzzle.

We are smarter than a fifth grader because we could not find a Fifth grader who could extrapolate anything!
But, then came the job of finding the cache when we thought we would just 'pop' into Seymour on our way through on the Hume freeway to simply just 'pick it up'!! Wrong!!!
We searched for about half an hour and decided that we really had to just move along. Meanwhile we PAF, who gave us a heads up but we still did not make much sense of it until we returned today and luckily it was dark and it was seen glinting through the small slither of light.

The other posts are correct. This is a sneaky site and I enjoyed it very much. I found it with hembee and the help from some of her friends.

Thank you to JoJo and CybergranV for their help with this one. I live locally so it is great to have this as my 900th. It has been haunting me for years. What a sneaky hide!

I'd seen a multi be published a few days ago and so tonight it was calling my name
Seriously it was just a darn good excuse for a drive and some sightseeing
Brodie, muggle partner and I headed down towards Yea and enjoyed a lovely night with an almost full moon and crisp clear skies at times covered with some cloud [^]
Only 3 caches were found but each one brought a smile
This evil cache has had me tricked for way too long!
First the puzzle and then the hide but tonight redemptiom was at hand with a very quick spotting by muggle partner in the torchlight
No wonder this is so hard to find in the day time
Finally this cache will no longer taunt me every time I am anywhere near Seymour [^]

Yes! I am finally smarter than a fifth grader. Considering that I completed six years of education at Seymour High, this has been a frustrating cache for me, as was arithmetic at school. okay and I worked out the maths part on this two years ago, but neither of us knew how to extrapolate the final coordinates.
At the last event I attended I finally found someone who explained to me how this was done.
Having got only 13% in an Arithmetic exam in Form 3, my lunch hours for the whole next term were forcefully spent doing sums, while all of my mates were outside playing hockey or vigaro. Consequently at the second term exam I scored 63% and my incarceration was complete.
Coming back here to find this ingeniously placed cache brought memories back.
Thanks so much for this one, it deserves a favourite point from me.

Am I smarter than a 5th grader? Apparently not! On a trip to Seymour a long time ago I came across this puzzle. Surely I am smarter than a 5th grader, I thought. How hard can it be? I got through the first part of the puzzle quite easily, but became unstuck at extrapolation. What is that? Some frantic googling saw me come up empty handed as we arrived in Seymour, so I had to concede defeat, and left this for another day. Last week I revisited this extrapolation issue and, again had to concede defeat. I reluctantly sought help, and soon had a set of plausible coordinates to work with. Travelling through Seymour today, I had the opportunity to try to find this elusive cache, but with four dnfs before me, I was not hopeful of turning this into a smiley. Once at GZ we thoroughly searched the area, and it was only by employing a TOTT that the the well-hidden cache was eventually found. Phew! Glad that is over TFTC!
Moneydork and Mrs Moneydork had very kindly invited me, last November, for a caching trip to Victoria over the Australia Day weekend [:X]
A massive trip with 13 DNFS and 318 finds over 7 days and many kilometers of travel
My knees don't want to bend anymore after a massive ride on the Ballarat Skipton Rail Trail and then about 145 finds the next day while finishing the Dad's Mt. Disappointment Driving Lesson series [xx(] Seems my driving lesson was about me keeping both feet on the ground as I broke my own record by doing the autumn leaf thing 4 times in one day [xx(]
Still a fantastic trip with great sights and lots of cache finds [^]
Today was another travel day from Seymour to Swan Hill so caches were found all along our route [^]
DNF! Except this cache sure wasn't found today but considering it is a sneaky hide, I guess I'll be back another day.

Found it - well sort of. As BernieH said we failed on the puzzle extrapolation. And realistically if it wasn't for the aforementioned muggle cousin we would still be crawling around there. But we were there for the moment of glory and much appreciated the utter sneakiness of the hide even if we are still in the dark about the maths. TFTC
On our Easter camping weekend out at Majors Creek near Nagambie and today we are headed to Seymour for some caching with SaharaH99, KH2ici and AngelaChris.
Failed this task on soooooo many levels. I got the legs bit right but everything else wrong. Finally got the coordinates from a PAF after pleading several times and then the final find was made by a muggle cousins son. Ahh well, we finally found it after about four Easter years of searching.
**Thanks for placing this cache royds16**

Found at 5:46 PM GAFF5.
Well the only part that we were smart about was the Grade 5 question which we got first off, but we stumbled on the "extrapolation" bit and then had a tough time actually finding the cache itself [B)]
Once we did find it we could not make any sense of the hidden clue that is in the cache description.
Thanks royds16.

Solved this one quite a while ago and managed to get it right on our second attempt. We actually found the hide harder than the puzzle. We were just about to give up when Mr Beetle spotted it. Fortunately there were not many muggles around at 1.30 on a Monday afternoon. Thanks, an interesting challenge and we are pleased that we are at least as smart as a 5th grader.
Spiffy- and I were on a roadtrip to Canberra and this cache was on our target list for our return journey. We had it solved some time back once we correctly extrapolated the numbers. But at GZ I could not find anything. Today it was cold and raining byt I noticed a spot I did not check the previous attempt. It was not there but was in a very similar place. A quick signing of the log and we were on our way.
It had been 2 or 3 months since our last road trip so we thought we should go to the A.C.T. to fulfill a couple of challenges and to complete our 5th state of Australia so we headed off at 5am while doing a couple of interstate multis on the way there and one on the way back.
This was day 3 and the drive back to Melbourne.
Fleabag- had DNF'ed this a while ago so we revisited with my help today. As I was taking my time to park the car (since it was raining), Fleabag- was already onto it this time and didn't even need my help. So we signed the log and moved on towards Melbourne.
Thanks royds16 for the cache, the hunt and the fun.

Started this over 2 years ago and kept getting stuck and no green lights. Eventually made a break through and got the green light. Just had to wait until I was up this way.
Today luck was on my side and managed to find this one without too much searching in the freezing cold.
Oh so pleased to have earned a smilie here and to have added a new maths word to my bocab.
Yes I am at least as smRt as a 5th grader.

#339 - Tough find! Managed to spot it after a bit of looking though and get it in hand, Tftc.
Tough one but got it in the end. Team work definitely made this one easier. Thanks for a good brain scratch both at home and in the field.
Solved the puzzle with help from Spiffy- who helped extrapolate them but the GZ did not give up a cache. Muggle free and not many objects to search but sadly I join the list of DNF's
We had no luck, I guess we are pretty dumb even though we are sure of our calculations we simply couldn't come up with co ords to help with final location
Back tomorrow after we calculate again tonight

Success!
Whoohoo! Yipee! uh-huh, uh-huh! w00t! Yeah, baby!
Now, go get it!
We spent quite awhile at GZ with the dog barking at us at frequent intervals but came up empty.
Will email the CO and ask for a hint so we can pick it up on our way back to Sydney.
Thanks for the nice puzzle.

Travelling from Wodonga, to visit friends in Melbourne for a few weeks.
After several attempts with our calculation, we came up with a new set of co-ords.
We found the well hidden cache, after a short search.
Many thanks for placing this cache, royds16, for us and others to find.

Wow! I am definitely not smarter than a 5th Grader. We got a few different answers, but then had no idea what to do with the 373!!!
2nd time back here & the guy always seems to arrive home within minutes of me being at GZ... I have search & poked and prodded all the likely spots... I shall return...

When another location-based game was going to place me in Seymour in the evening, I knew I had to try and pick up a smiley or two while I was there.
I sat and pondered this puzzle last night in anticipation of my visit, and was pleased to note that I was at least smart enough to come up with a solution the geo checker was satisfied with. That's good enough for me. All I had to do now was managed to solve the other puzzle: getting my hands on the hide.
There was certainly no problem with passers by at this time of night, but my proximity to the lights of the nearby dwelling meant that waving the torch about willy nilly was out of the question. After a bit of thought, the solution to that problem presented itself. Very clever, royds16... Thanks for the smiley.

Well after solving the puzzle which took some extra effort as the last step was not understood straight away and by some simple guessing to what maybe required, the green light form the checker finally appeared, Yay! . This brings us to today were somehow I struggled to find this clever hide. Having spent 25mins searching a PAF was used which within seconds result in a Doh!!, should of spotted that... A very effective hide. TFTC royds16
