We stopped after a play in the playground we searched, but alas the cache was not found, thankfully did not need to step into the mud but could see the footprints of others before me.
A lot! haha. For the life of us not one could locate the cache. There was seven of us looking and not a single one could spot it. Over and under and Muddy shoes, left here with cache blues
We will be back
We will be back
Had another look today. Stayed less muddy but still no success. Time for official owner check? Thanks.
No success for us. What appeared to be a solid crust of salt ended up being a deceptive trap of mud and pseudo quick-sand. Lovely, black, stinky mud. Undaunted we dove back from this surprise and clambered onto the structure. A search from end to end did not reveal the prize and we are sorely disappointed any chance for the owner to check? This one hasn't been found in a while.
Went straight to where it was when Mum and Dad found it, Mum with her camera ready but couldnt find it, even after a real good look around. Thankyou.
DNF searched for over 1hr unable to find. Even used photos for help. Will try another day if its still there?
after a bit of fishing decided to have a look at this one. looks like there had been plenty of paddling in the mud. with wrong thoughts managed to sign the log after 2 trips as i lost my pen the first time.
It was more interesting coming in here with the car as there was plenty of mud in the 'car park' TFTC.
Great cache this one.
The geokids helped me with the picture hint. Could not remember his name. It was pretty obvious after they told me.
Thanks.

A great cache!
Had to be careful to put one foot before the other or something might have gone wrong
Great area.

Found with Team Jacks and geonephew from the newly signed up The Ford - St Clair Clan, TFTC!
Found on January 5th with SA COUSINS while on holidays. Sorry for being so late.
I had a go at this one at 5am today after work but where my gps was sending me was not close enough. I gave up and went home cacheless. But with it bugging me that I DNF I went back this afternoon with my daughter and explored further over the pinkish water. We successfully found it. SL TFTC. Note - needs a new log as its fairly full
Hmm good question, probably only one thing can go wrong but fortunately didnt.

My husband helped me find it. So I don't have to wear my gum boots.
Thanks JadedOptimists for the cache.

Quick detour on the way home for a stretch and break with a cache find before the long drive home from Adelaide to Port Augusta after visiting for work.
This is a Bowz2 type of cache, Love ya work / Nice one

Dad didn't want things to go wrong so he didn't let me find the cache myself. Then I stepped in the black stuff and tried to wash my feet in the salt water but that just made it worse! TFTC.
When it comes to things going wrong, I, Sir Maxy, am the master. As a toddler and a madman, I have been known to become highly unpredictable at times and this, combined with my recent tantrum, ensured that I'd stay safe 'n sound in my car seat for this one. It's probably just as well; Cal's feet were black from that stuff, I tend to like that sort of thing so I would've ended up filthy myself. Then I would've cried (I hate it when I'm dirty). TFTC Mr JadedOptimists .
Ah, the famous last words, now immortalised in caching! Many things could possibly go wrong while finding this one, but they didn't. Mr O could've fallen into the pink water, but he didn't. And he could've had trouble finding the cache...but he didn't. What could possibly go wrong with such a straightforward find? A sunset photo opportunity for father and son turned went 'wrong' when son decided to jump the water and ended up ankle deep in filthy black stuff. So you can add that to the list possibilities of wrongness for this cache! TFTC JadedOptimists.
Love this cache!!! I felt like a boy again I little red herring (not sure if it was intentional or not) had me facing the wrong way, and I had a couple of wobbles turning around, got the heart pumping. TFTC from Kloyster & family!
I drove past this to the other cache.
All the time this cache was in my head. ARE YOU SERIOUS!!
I pulled up and left all of my electronics in the car. I took my balance.
Waldron took some photos. I'll post if I ever get them!
I did not fall, though I stood up all the way out on the crispy crumbly wood. Mmmmmm. You do have to watch it. I'd say the procession of cachers will weaken the structure................. LOL.
The pink liquid under you does look inviting!
Thanks to JadedOptimists and clear skies from TeamAstro.

Oh dear what could go wrong with 5 kids.....we had a ball.
Kids took it in turns to find the cache, Master 8 was the lucky one to hit jackpot.
After the cache was found the kids still wanted to play here a bit and as nothing had gone wrong we didnt see an issue.....
Miss 5 so proud of her balancing work went to run straight back to me for a hug....oblivious to the water and mud in her way.... now most people would realise they are up to their ankles in black gooey mud, but not her....
at her knees she started to realise it was hard to run....
at her waist she realised it wasnt a good idea and she should stand there crying....
finally her out of the black mud, shoeless and blaming the other kids, we realised why we love caching....especially with the kids. Thanks for the laugh and the cache.

Oh My Goodness, this is sooo much fun, we have had a ball today, this was #6 find from 7 for today. We started up at hahndorf strawberry picking and found 4 up there then came home, had a quick swim then ventured out for a quick visit to the playground which we LOVE! found Pirate ship one and it was nearly dark when I said lets just do one more! 11 of us got out to find this one, all walked across the water the adventurous way following me with the GPS! Got to the other side and wandered around, got muddy feet then I said " I think it is back on the other side" so we all walked back ( the adventurous way again).GeoDaughter( 5yrs!) found this one by accident. We were all so excited! Her first nano! The name of this Cache was very apt for us, while I was filling in the log GeoNana decides to walk back and loses her balance and does the most amazing manouvre to stop herself falling in the drink that she lands sprawled between the two logs and nobody could help her because we were all laughing so much! Nana was saved and no harm done, dropped writing stick in the confusion though!T so much FTC!! SL Wish I could put a photo of nana in, but I think it may be a bit embarassing!
Found as part of a two day Northern areas run with Team Waldron.
Easy find, well it was for me

A 2 day trip from Adelaide to Pt Augusta and back wwith White Dog Gang collecting over 100 caches.
We travelled over 1000km in 2 days.
I drew the short straw and fairly quickly had the cache signed. White Dog has some photos.

Out with some friends teaching their young daughter the joys of fishing (and not catching anything) and grabbed some caches in the area. Mr friend found the cache (again... this is starting to become habit!) and all done without wetting any feet. Daughter friend managed to get her nice white shoes coated in black goo from the water's edge though, while no-one was looking TFTC JadedOptimists!
Yeh, what?? Can it possibly be out there? Out with our friends the cookemonsters. The indomitable Mrs.monster did the retrieval while we were still considering the options. TFTC.
We found this cache on the return drive from The Mangroves Trail. I thought it was quite clever but also simple. I let my wife retrieve the cache because I did not want to risk my new GPS becoming wet. TFTC
As I started my way to GZ, I thought exactly the same thing myself, and decided to leave all the expensive gadgets I had on me, in the car.
My balance is not anywhere near as sharp as it was when I wore a younger man’s clothes .
In the end, an easy find and a nice hide. Cheers JO .

Very easy find as the tram passed by... Even managed to keep my feet dry, although it appears that some others didn't!
Nice drive out to pick up this cache after the remembrance service I am in the Army and served in Afghan, I lost a couple of friends, so days like this are important.
I looked around the area and could see that someone had jumped into the water and looked around, i stayed dry, i look everywhere, and walked on the old sleepers, to check if they could take my weight i did the universal way to see if it could... i bounced on it - what Could Possibly Go Wrong? -, yep all good.
i found it hard to find and looked at the picture clue.... Found it straight away

Well, the GPS took me to the far side first [B)], but at least I didn't loose any of the electronics on the way .
TNLNSL.
At least I know what to look for when I do your other cache down here [8].
Thanks JadedOptimists.
(Then I was writing this log and we had a power failure, so had to write it again) [B)]!

Mrs Rat was a bit of a chicken, so the crazy driver went out to retreive the cache.TFTC
Out for a ride on the motorbike this afternoon and we even managed to walk a straight line to get this one.
Cheers and thanks for the cache

Hi DUH I accidently logged wrong cache this afternoon so am now trying to correct my error. FTF for this one instead at 2.18pm. Yes I had a moment of panic but managed to straddle successfully and nothing bar my log went wrong. Apologies for possible confusion to all earlier.
Left work to find a couple of new caches out for a couple of hours. Knew the southern one would have been mobbed by now so went north but with a sneaky feeling I knew whose name I would find and sure enough FTF for Don't Panic Arthur, well done mate.
