A couple of days away geocaching with Bogonghazy. Have enjoyed the finds around Cohuna. Thanks for placing the geocache
Had a great day out with LittleBoss2 today where she clocked her 800th find. Such a pleasure to come to a cache rich town and explore this amazing area. Our sincere thanks to all the CO's who helped us make this very ordinary day weather wise, into a very productive day cache wise. Another very quick find due accurate coords. Thanks again Aussie Fun Seekers
Nice easy find

With the promise of much warmer weather we set out early for a day's caching around Leitchville and Cohuna. As on previous days we found a variety of caches in historic and interesting locations. The landscape would be different before so many schools were consolidated.
Our thanks to 'Aussie Fun Seakers' for adding this cache to the geo-gameboard.

So many of these to find. A quick find on my way to Cohuna.
Thanks Aussie Fun Seakers for placing the hide!

Quick find with Little Blue Wren on our last day in Cohuna,a hot one at that.TFTC
Suscoe had a big day out to the north west of Echuca today.
Clear skies, beaut weather, a warm sun and caching, what could be better!!!
We enjoyed wandering the roads and little towns as we went.
Thanks to the Aussie Fun Seekers for this hide, the country out here goes from good land to pretty sad ground very quickly, we wondered about if it was the effects of salt!

In Nth Vic for a week travelling to Numurkah, Echuca, Swan Hill and back to Wangaratta before venturing home. Grabbed caches as I went, one afternoon put in a good effort as I wound my way up to Swan Hill. Even snagged a 2001 cache!!

Thanks very much for this cache, this was actually the school my father and my uncles attended, my father's family were pioneers in the McMillians district and my uncle is still on the farm very close by. I have spent many childhood holidays here and so this is a special place for me. So thank you once again.
Taking the geo kids caching during the school holidays, while towing a 24 foot caravan. We'll grab every opportunity to grab a cache. A quick easy find. There was so many of these little schools around the country. After attending large primary and secondary schools, it's hard to imagine going to one of these single teacher schools.
Thanks Aussie Fun Seakers for placing & maintaining these cache for us to find.

Travelled up with Mrs Tyred n Cranky for the " A Meet and Greet at Cohuna " event today.
It was time to leave Cohuna for the day and take the LOOOOONG way home with a number of cache grabs on the way.
Chatting away I soon realised that I had passed GZ and had to hook a quick U turn. While Mrs Tyred n Cranky got our names in the log, I ventured up to grab a photo of the scooter up on the post at the crossroad just off from GZ.

What a perfect day for caching. The sun shone brightly, the ute hummed melodically and Cohuna had turned out in all its glorious colours.
After attending the Cohuna Meet and Greet the overwhelming desire to get out there and grab a few caches soon kicked in so I was off.
After pulling up I read the sign and again wondered about life teaching in those days.....then I saw it. Who put the motorbike up on the pole.
Cool stuff!

Find No. 916. Found with FUF009 at 2.58pm
After attending the 'Meet and Greet' event at Cohuna today, off we went to find a few caches.
Time has come to say goodbye to Cohuna and head for home, taking what I would call the roundabout way so that we can grab a few extra caches on the way.
Enjoying the drive in the countryside with the sun shining and chatting away, FUF009 realised that we had just passed the cache hide so a U turn was warranted and back we went to grab the cache.

Back in Cohuna celebrating Easter with family over the long weekend. After all the egg hunting and chocolate eating was done a small window of free time opened up. While others opted for lazy afternoons and naps I had other things on my mind including an afternoon of caching to try and clean up as many caches in and around the area as possible. The Schools series was high on my agenda, being a teacher I'm always interested in the history of local schools and the beautiful old school buildings. This series was really well researched considering nothing remains of most of the old school buildings other than a commemorative sign.
Spotted the likely hiding spot as I pulled up in the car and quickly had the log signed. Thanks for the cache and the interesting local history lesson Aussie Fun Seakers.

We were looking in the dark and not having much luck until Glanville Girls widened the search and found the cache lying on the ground more that 5m away. This cache is badly in need of a magnet. We were pleased to be able to take note of the clue. Thanks Aussie Fun Seakers.
Visiting this area for the long weekend with Tomstache, Glanville Girls, Motndarg and Beckster22, we spent the afternoon on the water and after dinner, when it was almost dark, we toured around looking for a few more caches.

Caching after dark with Mclookers, Tomstache, Beckster22 and Motndarg. Aft searching for some time we found this cache some meters away from Gz on the ground. we dinged and replaced as best we could, but it really needs a new magnet. Thanks for the hide.
Found at night with McLookers, Motndarg, Glanville Girls and Beckster22. Cool cache.
Isolated spot.A bit snakey. Love the postie bike on the pole nearby. TFTC Cheers. Found this cache on the ground, it needs a new magnet.

# 3015. Collecting a few more in the area today before we leave on Tuesday for Jervis Bay. I had missed this one on Sunday afternoon. Liked the scooter on the pole in the corner nearby. This little devil led me a merry dance and it was where the GPS said it should be. Luckily Rob was there to lend a hand. TFTC

After not finding this cache yesterday, we came back when it was a little cooler in the morning today. Armed with a small hint, we were soon able to find the cache. It was where I thought it should be! TFTC

Thanks for another cache. Had a lovely day finding all of these. Nice quick find.

The kids were not with me this weekend so I arranged with a few mates to go away on a golfing trip. What a great time was had by all, and I was able to steal some time away from my non-caching mates to make a few finds. This was one for the weekend. Not much left here now. Thanks.
A day out caching in the Echuca and Cohuna area with my daughter Sportacuss (formerly Bubble o Bill) and her boyfried Poynts95. About 25 caches for the day, which was great, and some very challenging hides were found as were many other great caches. Also along for the day were my 6yo twins, James and Jemma, who had a great day. We enjoyed a picnic lunch in the bush out past Cohuna at a new cache. Top day out.
Took a little while to locate this one, just had to get on the right angle to spot it, which one of us eventually did. TFTC.

Sorry Aussie Fun Seakers for the generic log but I'm trying to catch up on my logging, I currently have over 1000 to log before hitting some powertrails in the US after the block party next week. As always I enjoy the hunt whether I'm solo or with some of my caching or muggle friends. Thanks to those who have accompanied me to make the day more pleasurable and many thanks Aussie Fun Seakers for placing this cache.

Quick find on our way home from football. Slowly working my way through the consolidated schools series.
Traveling around the NW of the state with the Haveanez clan to pick up maps needed for the Atlas challenge.
Another cache as we headed towards home from the long drive.
Nice quiet road, no one about to contend with which makes for a nice easy search.
Still amazes me the amount of these school sites that are marked.
Thanks for the very informative cache page Aussie Fun Seakers

Day 3 on a road-trip to the north-west of Victoria with DazRascal to tick off a few more maps for the VIC Country Road Atlas Challenge cache.
Making our way back towards Echuca and home after a long days drive, thought we'd take a few detours on the back roads.
We were able to complete 3 of the SC series today and found the drive and locations quite enjoyable.
Many thanks AFS for your efforts in placing the series and your informative cache notes.
A quick find here with no muggles about.

This log marks the 1207th smiley to be recorded in the stats of WazzaAndWenches.
The Wench and the Wenchette were away for the day and all I had to accomplish for the day was to mow the lawns then go and find a few caches that have been on my to-do list for a while. Muggle riding mate was occupied so I decided to do most of the caches around the area but leave just a few for a joint ride in the near future.
Like the first two of this series, this was also a quick find although I had quite a number of vehicles pass me and I had to act innocent so I didn't attract too much attention.
Thanks Aussie Fun Seakers

Another well placed cache. Flies nearly carried us away. TFTC Aussie Fun Seakers
Another well placed cache in the series - mind you I'd never encountered so many aggressive flies - don't leave your vehicle's windows down whilst searching! Found after a terse search and then a happy smile with the discovery. A fun series to be undertaking. Thank you to 'Aussie Fun Seekers' for the cache and its location.
After going in "Ninja style" fighting off the flys we found this nice easy find spotted it from the road TFTC
Looked for a long time searching through bushes after staring at all aspects of the sign for about half an hour! So frustrating :-/
after a short drive from Cohuna , with the help of spot on GPS co-ords , this was a quick find , signed the log and headed off to #3 in this series.

The schools certainly moved around a bit here. The roads were fairly quiet making stopping not such a problem. A quick grab and we were off.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.

This type of hide begs for good numbers which again we found here, otherwise it becomes a needle in a haystack situation.
