Hi there billywillysillydilly. We found your cache "Bendigo Racecourse" at 12:44:00 PM today. This cache makes our find count 10383.
[Blue]
Our trek today was to the north east of Bendigo. The primary plan was to have another attempt at a prior DNF and then just do a "next closest" cache run until we ran out of time.

There were no horses here today so we were able to drive to within 3 metres of the cache.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Fortunately for us there were no races here today so we were able to retrieve the nice dry cache from its concealed hiding place. It surprised me that it was so dry after all the rain we've had. A groundsman moved into the vicinity shortly after we had returned the cache and made himself very busy digging out some weeds, so we pretended to take some photos and departed

TFTC bwsd. I had never been to this track before so was interested to see it without a 'meeting' taking place.

08-Jun-14
We were going to come down for the races the previous night but decided to watch it from home instead. Passing by this morning we just had to get the cache. It was a lot quieter this morning than it would have been yesterday so it was a quick grab. All in good condition.
Thanks billywillysillydilly Big Grin

Just waiting to be found

22-May-14
One of 71 caches found today during a big cache run up to and around the Bendigo region. I had a handful of puzzles solved and finding those was high on the agenda, as well as biking some more of the PPPT series. On the way back I managed to squeeze in the Fryers track series south of Castlemaine, and that was a great little adventure in the middle of the night. The weather was perfect all day and even at midnight it was still a balmy twenty degrees. I had a great day with 71 finds and 3 DNF's and my thanks go to all the CO's that placed and maintain the caches.
An interesting location and I happened to arrive when there were a lot of horse loving muggles leaving. I waited for the place to clear then headed over to GZ to make a stealthy quick find and sign.
Thanks for the hide.

In Bendigo for the weekend caching with Cathylm and the geokids. As we pulled up to this one we both knew where it was going to be. I was closer. Yeah, it was there but I'm not putting my hand on it as very afraid of spiders! Thankfully Cathylm not so scared. Thanks for the cache

Would you believe the Wenchette is old enough to be looking at Uni courses? Open Day at LaTrobe Bendigo gave us a chance to drop off Traffic Control 1 and also find a few puzzles that were solved many moons ago.

No races today but there were a few old holdens gathered for a car club event. Cache location spotted as we drove through the carpark and the cache was retrieved without much effort.

Thank you for the cache billywillysillydilly.

Day 3 of the 31 day challenge. Raining again so decided to get a cache that I could drive to. Found it quickly with geo nephew in toe. Cache needs some matince log book wet.

03-Aug-13
found with curl69 the cache was very waterlogged needs repair tftc

Thanks cbjh1990 for informing of the wet log. I dried out the inside of the container, replaced the log and a Cpl of zip lock bags. Also cleaned out the drainage hole that Romax had previously made.

Should be right to go. I tool the old log home, if it dries OK, I may place it back in the container.

02-Nov-12
After a very lazy start to our Saturday, we decided to try a few more caches..

We are quite suprised that our very cheap ALDI gps is finding locations well. Our only problem is the glare on the screen can make it hard to read when we are going walkabout.
Once we are fully addicted we will upgrade to something swishy, but for now this one is working great.

Thanks for the find.
Took police tape, left armadillo. Signed log

25-Oct-12
Out for a quite eveng stroll through the deserted car park followed the trail of muggled geo bits to the cache container. Replaced contents and left signature card before pushing the cache further into its hidey hole.

One of 40 finds for the day, caching on the way to and around the Bendigo area with three of my kiddies. I had with me, Jasmine 8yo, James 6yo and Jemma 6yo for the day. Left home at about 6am and didn't return home until about 9pm, a big day time wise and kilometer wise with about 550kms driven. There was some 4WD action in the GeoExplorer as well on quite a few caches, one in particular, a nice boggy area, that the mud tires came in very handy for. Kids loved it... Awesome stuff...

At about 1pm, met up with one of my best mates Richard aka XD1 and from there, found a few caches around Bendigo and headed to Tigersden's event "International Geocaching Day", east of Bendigo. A good gathering after we finally got there about an hour late. Caught up with many friends there, and then headed off to complete the "geo-art Smiley series" placed by Tigersden, all around the general area of the event. Great series BTW. Was able to complete the entire series caching in convoy with XD1, Haveanez, DazRascal, Lostmonster and Co, Purpledreamer and Wazza and Wenches. Had a great time guys caching in the bush..... To all cache owners, in particular, Tigersden, thanks for all the caches, the kids and I had a great time.

Last find with XD1 before heading to the Geocaching Day event. Short walk and a quick find. Met up with, by chance, Krazy K Krew here who were also off to the event. Would not like to attempt this on a race day here... TFTC.

Another big day caching in Bendigo and surrounds with 67 finds and no DNF's. Started the day caching out to Axedale then spending a day with the Central Victorian Geocachers on a 4WD adventure through the Fosterville Hills.

There were a number of caches placed for the event including a smiley face geoart in the forest. Also completed a number of challenge caches for various milestones and made a find on an unpublished cache.

Finished the day with some CBD night caching before heading back to the cabin for a bourbon and pizza.

Quick find in the dark tonight - clever hiding spot. TFTC. Big Grin
