Escaped home for the long weekend and decided to spend it caching and kayaking around the fleurieu peninsula area. Was a good eventful weekend accompanied by -Beaker-, FerociousFlea and a roaring sun.

Found with Astronaut99 and Beaker on a long weekend camping, kayaking and geocaching adventure up the Coorong and all over the Fleurieu Peninsula. Highlights included seeing hundreds of Pelicans in the Coorong, Jellyfish in the crystal clear waters at Victor Harbour/Port Elliot, visiting a sea cave, and waking up in our swags on Australia Day to see the silhouette of kangaroos! Thanks
Found with FerociousFlea and Astronaut99 on our way up to the Fleurieu Peninsula for the Australia Day LWE. It was certainly a hot one!!
This was just one of 70 found during the weekend.
Fortunately no snakes!

Took off on an afternoon's drive with Purrfect Di, the Froghoppin duo, and Chloe the geopup.
Did some they needed to find, we needed to find, and everyone needed to find.
Found in the allocated time - which was all afternoon

This one took a little while to spot, I think we were looking for a different type of container. We're glad we didn't DNF it, as we'd definitely have to find it later.
After signing the log we took time out to enjoy a bit of lunch before heading North to Ferries McDonald Conservation Park.
Thanks Team Waldron.

Gorgeous sunset on a lovely spot. Not quite where we thought bit traipsed around the soursobs for a while and found it.
Found after having a win at footy against Langhorne Creek. It took 5 hours to get back to Victor. Found many caches on the way home.

Found on caching day at Milang. Sunny day and plenty of wildlife around. Had to expand search. Thanks Team Waldron for the cache.
We went caching between Murray Bridge and Milang and this was one of the caches we found. Strath is such a lovely town, we enjoyed having a look around and we did hope we would somehow meet up with two special residents which did not happen but we did enjoy meeting up with two other caching teams from Gawler. We enjoyed the series on the rail trail and met up with some huge kangaroos as we progressed along searching out the different hides. What a great way to get some exercise. Thanks to Team Waldron for placing this cache.
Headed down to Milang today with JJ52 on a day that started with promise and then didn't quite go according to plan with JJ52's GPSr taking us the longest routes it could work out or so it seemed and me getting stung inside the ear by a bee . We also seemed to spot an unusal amount of abandoned underwear on this trip, including in the main street of Milang and at the back of a pine tree we visited .
The weather was also quite warm so we ended up needing a couple of stops at the local pub for iced refreshments and had a nice lunch there too .
We eventually made it to this cache except that we did come the long way round!
I made a quick find with my ear hurting from the bee sting.

Was out for a drive with Ismartis heading down to Milang for the day and grabbing a few caches along the way.
It was a very eventful day, with the GPSr in the car taking us the long way to a number of caches which wasted a lot of time and a couple of encounters with bees which was not very nice at all especially when Ismartis was stung in the ear.
All up we managed to find 15 caches with 4 DNF's on a rather warm day for caching. As we needed lots of fluid replacement we stopped at the pub twice in our little excursion. [^] [^]
This was one where the GPSr had us driving all around the countryside because it doesn't like dirt roads. By the time I realised we were going in the wrong direction we were kilometres away...oh well it was a nice drive with the air conditioner on.
Eventually arrived at GZ and found the cache once we found the right tree.
Thanks for the cache Team Waldron.

Furrangel and I were camping in Milang and it was a little warm back at camp so we decided to hop in the car and go for a bit of a drive.
As we arrived at GZ there was a lizard having a sun bake on the top of one of the fence posts... So lets just say he got his photo taken a few times..

Nice spot next to a lovely vineyard. I loved the log by someone who accidentally found this cache. Cache really needs a better container before weather gets the better of it. LNTN. TFTC

I got kicked out of the car to find this one as the 'interesting road name' is actually a very old Scot family name and my family come from a castle of the same name back in Scotland.
Thanks for the cache.

The vines sure grow high around here - even taller than our truck .
Thankfully, the cache was at ground level .
Still, a bit of an unusual location [:o)]. TNLNSL.

Our GPS voice kept saying - "you have arrived at your destination on the left" - but it was on the right!! A nice diversion on our journey.
It was a magnificent day worthy of a caching trip, but with Mrs M helping a family friend for the day it was up to Mr M to join CPwanderer and brisal5 for a caching trip to Victor Harbor. It was a very enjoyable day in which brisal5 achieved his 3000 milestone.
Today the coords were about 11m out. Found by brisal5 after searching beyond GZ. TFTC Waldrons.

When I got the call that a caching trip to Victor was been planned I quickly booked a seat. So with CP and Mr. M from Aussie M&M we set out in the general direction...southish
This was a cache within a cache. The log was in a cache container which was in another cache container Although easily spotted, not where we were looking with our GPSr saying GZ was elsewhere [?] But a cache is a cache. Thanks Team Waldron

Took a trip from Victor Harbor to Goolwa and Strathalbyn to see the sights and picked up a cache or two on the way.
Found during a tour of Strathalbyn, Finniss, Clayton and Milang. Now on the lookout for Findnever Road. Does it exist? Thanks for the cache Team Waldron!
Fairly quick find on a rather warm wine tasting weekend (we found co-ords were about 10m out)

Ingy found this whilst I was busy looking for a micro. Doh!
After taking Granny to the Pier Hotel in Milang, we headed around the lake for some Sunday driving.
I've been on this road a few times and often thought it would be an excellent place to put a cache because of the road name.

Day 2 of our SA meander heading north to Port Augusta leisurely picking up a few caches along the way and hopefully catching up with a few South Australian teams that always make us Mexicans feel welcome. We liked the name of the road as we turned into it and knew why the cache was called what it was. We were hoping that it wasn't going to be the outcome this time, although for awhile it looked like it might have been. We searched around the lush new growth in all the logical locations with no luck at all. We expanded our search quite a bit and eventually found the cache about seventeen metres from where we were searching and also the biggest micro that we have ever found. There was a note from a muggle who was the second last finder said that he had found the container while looking for firewood and as it was wet he cleaned it up and dried it out as much as he could, obviously not in the same spot. After signing the log we replaced the cache in a more likely position closer to where the GPSr said that it should be.
Thanks Team Waldron for the cache.

There is a log book in there and it is dry. The rest of you need to look a bit harder...

Headed down to Middleton a few days ago to my beach house and thought "I'll find it later" on the way home. Today was the day to find it. Quick find. Needs a logbook to replace the temporary one. New logbook needs to be put in a plastic zip bag as the inside of the container has a lot of condensation in it. Dried it the best I could. TFTC Team Waldron
Found it but no log book here ?. Left new temporary log but owner needs to check this one out.
On a very hot weekend visit to Milang had trouble with coords everywhere.
Suspect heat had an effect on GPS. ??? but eventually found the item then & there.

I saw it on the map a few days ago and thought I should look for it and find it later. Today I thought it's now or never. The cache was out in the open. Put it back into a bush where I thought it would have been originally. Thanks Team Waldron.
Allowing for Garmin/Magellan error, the cache should be found in the first little bush you see. The cache has grown. It could catch on. Waldron, your caching brain must have been in full swing when you saw this sign. I would never have thought of that.
Thanks to Team Waldron and clear skies from TeamAstro.

Laughed when I spotted the road sign. It just screams place a cache here. Cache is now suitably enlarged, and contains the orginal cache.

This is becoming more and more difficult to do!
We have been counting ourselves as the 'dead'...
...as in 'The quick and the...'
as CP and a few others nearby are getting to the new ones quicker.
I actually was going to get it last night,
but thought we'd be too late then!
Just as well we decided to go early...
TFTC and the hunt Team Waldron,
and thanks for the FTF!!!
