???Today we took a trip to Devonpoert and looked for and found some caches - here we did a little task and calculated the coordinates for the hiding place. After a walk the cache was found .MPLC and greetings from us from Germany.
In the morning we took a ferry to Devonport and spent half a day there. Very nice area in contrast with the buzzle and huzzle of downton Auckland. We walked along the shoreline to Torpedo Bay and returned walking the streets a litte further from the shore admiring those neat well kept homes along small streets. This was our first stop, this was my first multicache in NZ. Had to take few rounds before spotted the right place. TFTC
Im back in Auckland for a few days with family before heading to the Mega in Dunedin. After some grandparent duties this morning, I spent the afternoon caching in Devonport. What an interesting plaque! I did my calculations and made my way to gz where the cache was quickly found. The logbook was signed but it took some time to return as a muggle was sitting in his car facing gz. He eventually left and I was able to replace the cache. Tftc
A nice and easy multi on a really busy day. Had to wait for muggles to leave seat before grabbing the cache to make a sign. Tftc
Up in Auckland for the day geocaching and we came over to Devonport on the ferry for the ALC. Decided to pick up the local Virtual and this multi as well whilst we were here. Intriguing sign for sure. TFTC
This was next on today's journey around the area. After taking the required numbers from the somewhat bizarre marker, it wasn't long before I was at GZ for a nice quick find at 13:00 during breaks between the muggle traffic.TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks G-2.
I'm now back in NZ, having spent the last couple of months in Europe. Part of that involved leaving my car with friends in Northland (just), and yesterday I met up with them in order to have a catch up as well as get my car back ready for my big drive back down south again this weekend.Today I'm driving back to Auckland, and with no particular timeframe to adhere to I'm making the most of the opportunity to do a little cache maintenance on my own few caches up here, as well as pay a visit to a part of Auckland that I've never actually been to before, Devonport.Having parked up centrally, I had a great stroll around the place, picking up a few caches along the way such as this one. I've got a mate who has a couple of caches of his own based on similar signs, so it did make me smile to see this one.I had no trouble getting the final location, or making the find there. No issues to report with the cache, so everything was replaced as found once I'd added my name to the log, and it was just like nothing had happened Thanks for setting this one up.
I tried to guess what might have happened here, I thought it would have to be something to do with ships landing or people commemorating something. Of course I won't put any spoilers in my log but will let future visitors find out for themselves. A well-spotted hiding place. Thanks for the multicache .
Im not known for my multi talents but as we were in the area getting the new virtual it seemed a shame not to try this one. Turned out to be easy once we got to the right plaque. What a hoot! We were just about at GZ when I spotted some dolphins in the distance. Dashed off to see them as they made their way up harbour then came back for the cache. All in all a fun find. Thanks G-2.
Found with Gummi_Venus. Quickly solved once we used the correct plaque. Fun multi and nice little hide!
Trouve ! / Found it ! Une petite multi rapide en ramassant la LabCache toute proche.5428me cache trouve.Merci G-2 pour la cache A quick little multi by picking up the nearby LabCache.5428th cache found.Thank you G-2 for the cache

Struggled with the coords for this to start so went away came back and it made sense. Got to GZ abs was a quick find. Thanks for placing.
After the ferry from rangitoto yesterday didn't stop here on the way back I decided that today was Devonport. Had a nice coffee, purchased some nice chocolate and got caught in the rain. Ha ha ha. Early enough in the day there were no crowds about.
Thanks G-2 for bringing us down to this point. What a fun multi ! FP from me. today Hal2929 completed his DT grid and also held an event over here in Devonport to celebrate. Great to catch up with some of the locals today, meet some new geocaching people and also find some caches.
I'm visiting New Zealand for a tour around the country . The first place I'm staying at is Auckland. While enjoying the sightseeing I also visit some caches. This is one of them. Thank you for showing me the place and thank you for the Cache . Greetings from Switzerland .
I like multis . This one was easy, the cache has a good hiding spot.

The cache was missing 18 months ago when I first attempted it. A nice quick find today. The first waypoint certainly puts a smile on the face.
My first find after farewelling WildTulip and before being picked up by GAR. The GPS was out but I managed to work it out in the end. There is a similar plaque in Palmy but I didn't manage to work out where the final for that multi is when I was there. Nice to find this one did result in a location and find. Thanks for showing me the plaque G-2, probably wouldn't have noticed it otherwise.
Should not have read the hint first. TFTC. No pencil in container. Had a good laugh when I woke up to it
First ever find for me, challenging as I didn’t know what to do with coordinates, but got there eventually. Thank you for creating!
Really enjoyed the plaque, gave us a giggle.
Getting a bit windy now but at least it's not raining.
Getting a bit windy now but at least it's not raining.
Left base this morning for a walk up Mount Victoria. Jeepers, really? One of the most significant queens of all time, ruling an estate occupying a quarter of the planet, and she gets just this little hill? Okay, at least its a volcano, but still. But that means its an easy walk to the top and back by breakfast, and grab a few caches along the way - this being the first one.
I have an almost identical cache, from an identical plaque, except mine is way more devious - now that you know what my plaque says, can you solve my multi? https://coord.info/GC5T3GC
Nice easy find, and a multi for a multi dot day, too. Only 70-something to go. Sigh. That is a multi-year mission!
A flying visit (literally) for work yesterday. My team and I flew to Hamilton, did our work there, then drove to Auckland to be ready for part two this morning. However everything went faster than expected, the team arrived here earlier than planned, so we all headed to the Naval Museum to fill in some time. From there we walked back to barracks, geocaching along the way. After dinner I went back out again and climbed all over North Head (to use the naval term for the place). What an amazing place!
This morning I went out yet again and found a few before breakfast. The team headed out for part two of the job and we all flew out about lunchtime. Still, 14 found - not bad! Oh - and three complete adlabs!

There were people picnicking on the lawn, but luckily we could sit on thd other side and find the cache.
Nothing happened. It wasn't me. I didn't do anything.
Found this in August but didn't have a pen with me. Managed to sign the log today.

M24: a nice easy multi that was solved some time ago by M13, since he loves to solve puzzles and mysteries. Arrived here in Devonport to get the new Adventure Lab up ahead, but Supernanny and Tufty beat me to it. So I figured why not just get these caches while I'm already here? So yeah...
Log is signed, and all is good. TFTC.

Found on the second attempt tonight but my pen is at home and it's a bit dark to photograph the cache. Will sign next time we come to Devonport.
Found this one on the way to the ferry to get back to Auckland centre, thanks for showing us this important plaque, it’s essential that we remember about our past.
Solved and grabbed by my very efficient and much more multi-inclined partner. Interesting tag! Tftc
I came up from Chch last week to help KR with cat sitting so he'd already got this. That made today an easy run thru for me. I would have struggled otherwise! In previous years we took the ferry over to here on family outings so I remember sunny days with little children playing on the beach. An outstanding plaque! Tftc
A nice quick find. Hah Ha HA what a plaque. I like it. Fav Points all round. Cache still in place and in good nick. Thanks for placing your cache.
I'm in Auckland and I am exploring the region while I am based here. Today was a good day, I cruised around and about Devonport. The weather was pretty good, and I had a great time.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

I was a bit worried as a huge pile of bark chips surrounds the hint object, but the cache was found after a bit of looking
Signed log. So near to the hotel, very relaxing watching the boats going up and down. T4T$
Mrs SoBad was in a group that had a DNF last year and later found the cache was AWOL. Today she and SoBad walked to the same spot for a quick find and sign. We were here mainly to do the Adventure Lab and visit the museum but wiping a frown from the page was a bonus.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Nice , brief , Sunday visit in Devonport. Main reason was to do Auckland's newest Adventure Lab. Stormy weather gave me a few extra breaks between locations. Decided to pick-up this Multi while I was waiting for rain to pass in Ferry Terminal.
Found it more by searching around than the hint but no big problems at all.
Many thanks to capperz for recent replacement.
Cheers!

Solved this last time I was in Devonport, but at the time I'd mixed up South and East and ended up with coords halfway down someone's driveway, still close enough to make sense--and unhelpfully there was a place the cache could have been hidden there too, if not on private property. Didn't log a DNF at the time because it didn't seem quite right, and today after checking the page again I realised my mistake, whoops. Nice easy find today. The cache is in excellent condition and it was great to sign the new blank log. Replaced and covered as found. TFTC!
Another cache that I gathered the details for late last year and never had any luck with finding (didn't look as was too busy). All dark and quiet this morning and had a good tactile and visual search before confirming it's missing. Added in a pill pottle with modest camo as per hint and added a small piece of bark to conceal. CO is aware of this. Thanks for the cache G_2.
Another day working over this way and a target calendar improvement day too, so glad to get some caches and to advance my WOTW planetary phase. I left really early this morning, before 0600, and did all of my caches in the dark which is good for stealth as you're pretty much invisible on these dark mornings. Just the 3 for the list today, but a couple of Multis and managed to exchange my trackables in a Motel in Devonport, hope they enjoy their stay.

4:58 PM Have seen the plaque before.
Did the maths.
Had a good look.

Funny plaque, but didn’t find the cache after even with two PFs!
Thanks anyway!
Thanks anyway!
We found the plaque, did the Maths, checked the sums and headed to a likely area. But no success. The GPS did have us alternating between 2 potential but only one seemed likely.
Nice easy multi on a beautiful day! Had to do some quick maths and the final was quick thanks to the detailed hint! TFTC
A lovely winters afternoon had some lunch nearby and decide to come and give this multi cache a try.Found the information needed and quickly got some coordinates.Arrived at gz and once we narrowed down the right tree made a quick find.
Great plaque, cool idea in particular here in Devonport where you have so many plaques. Easy offset multi cache TFTC
After lunch at a nearby cafe I decided it was time to grab more caches. This one gave me a giggle. Got the co-ordinates easily and with the hint the cache was soon in hand. Nice camo and an easy grab and replace without being noticed.
Thanks for the cache and the smile. #948

On my first day in New Zealand I visited Auckland and beautiful Devonport. I first walked around downtown, than I took the ferry to Devonport and walked to Stanley Point and hiked up to Mount Victoria. The day cleared up and I had a wonderful time in Auckland. I tried this multi and found all the information and the box. Thanks to everybody for all the great caches!

Hello from Seattle, WA, USA. Day three of our first visit to NZ. Our 5 week road trip begins!! We came over on the ferry to visit the Naval Museum. I gathered the information needed before our walk to the museum, did the calculations while my muggle hubby spent lots of time in the museum and made the find on the way back. Thanks for a multi that didn’t take loads of time and brought me to an interesting spot. Muggle hubby laughed!
Once we found the right tree - there was nothing in the first one we tried- the container was in hand. Wasn’t sure at first because the camouflage was superb! First cache today - TFTC
For some reason when we visited Devonport two years ago we didn’t do this multi. And thereby missed a fantastic plaque! It must be unique in recording such a singular event. We sat in a lovely café in the nearby arcade to crunch the numbers and then strolled back out into the sunshine to find a nicely crafted cache for this little hidey-hole. Another little gem from the master.
Wow, it might be interesting if something like this would happen on our vacation, but we're mostly too busy geocaching. Had to come back later to log the cache since the nearby muggles stayed until dark clouds appeared over Davenport.

Arriving into NZ with Itskate for a little family getaway making our way from Wellington to Auckland with a rental car. A caching / need to attend a wedding inspired holiday.
Day 7,8,9 travelled from Pukehina beach to Auckland. Staying in the CBD with little
Puzzle solving ability we ventured further out where more green dots were available.
An afternoon in Davenport enjoying a ferry ride, a morning at the Aquarium and some time exploring the city soon had us packing our bags ready to head home.
Originally reading the wrong plaque I was I little
Confused, I then moved a few leaves and it all made sense! Amazing what happened here! TFTH

Love the plaque! Interesting bit if history there.... quick find on our morning walk.
Better late than never I suppose to come back here. What on earth happened here? I don't know... I was here last time with FMZ and between us never saw the cache! it was right in front of my eyes today. I had parked on the yellow lines right next to the cache, there's never any parking around here, god knows where all the people are that have the vehicles... grhhh. Lovely and sunny day today and I went just up the road from here to get the C.O's 'O U Grbb' multi.
WHAT A MOMENTOUS EVENT!!! WOWEE!!! Truly rocked the world that we live, my life is changed forever by knowing about this. Blessings.
A nice easy find, TFTC!

We don't know how to use coordinates well yet but somehow figured this one out. We like the sign and had to take a photo!tftc.
Originally I was going to collect the info and solve as I wandered tge streets of Devonport and then make the find on my return to the ferry terminal but when I realised that it was going to be a quick solve and not far away I just sat down and did it on the spot. A nice quick find and I was off to explore the area. Thanks G-2

We have always notice the significant number of multi's in Devonport and we took a look at them this morning as they did not look to hard. Another chance to clean up the area a little. This was quite the strange one(in terms of the plaque). The calculations were not to difficult and we soon had the cache in hand. Mrs beconaze was impressed how the camo blended into the area so well so a favorite point from us
Nothing much happened here on my first two attempts at this cache previously. First DNF 3-4 years back the cache was actually AWOL then well second time round just must have not had the geosense working. This time round got to the published co-ords and took a photo to take back home to confirm my co-ords for the final , didn't do any calculations this time round but had a look where previously searched. Bingo 10 seconds it took and then what some dudes and dudesses doing a Segway practice??? What happened to walking. At least I couldn't see one of those lime things around, guess Devo people use Remuera tractors to get around?
Last cache of today got save some hopefully for future !

Great multi cache. Yes we are visiting from the US on a cruise ship and this is our third find today. TFTC.
Caching today with TheMexikiwi and hitting up some shore caches amongst the showers.
Found the wrong plaque initially before finding the right one which was much more appropriate and gave us some likely coordinates.
Short walk to the final and the cache was quickly found. Good fun and off to the next. TFTC

Owl arrived in New Zealand with a promise from her muggle family that she could find at least one cache a day. As it turned out, that was all she found! Too many interesting things to see and do and too much effort on a cruise. Today there were other efforts, all thwarted by muggles, DNFs, multis that ended too far away and caches requiring special tools that can't be taken through airport security. This one was a simple multi and a good laugh. Thanks for both and take a favourite point as your reward!
Was down in Devonport this afternoon so decided to solve these couple of multis nearby. Made the numbers fit the checksum, and wandered over to the final to make a quick find, TFTC
Found with my mom, glofaw411, on our annual mother/daughter trip. This year's trip took us from Pennsylvania, USA to Australia and New Zealand. My mom has already sent the answers in for the caches that needed them or posted photos. TFTC.
Greetings from Pennsylvania, USA. Found with brigitte15 while visiting Devonport. We took the Ferry over from Auckland for the afternoon. TFTC.
We were shocked beyond belief at what happened here. In fact we had to sit down and compose ourselves!
Once we'd got it together, we did the sums and soon worked out GZ. We did your other multi across the road first before heading off to find this one. We enjoyed them both, thanks G-2

Found myself needing to get out of the house again, so tootled down to Devonport again...fingers crossed I'd find good local parking to cut down on the walking time. Solved this one pretty quickly and did the admin on a nearby bench as I caught my breath again. Great little spot, so so subtle TFTC
Cool sign, made me laugh. Nice simple multi, was easy maths, and final was only a short walk away. Not sure why gorby didn't find this one. The hint was very helpful, and I quickly spotted the cache when we got to GZ. Wasn't planning on getting a multi today, so this is a nice bonus. Tftc
Loved the sign! Though we almost missed it for another one nearby. We did some quick math in our head and walked to the final spot. Right where it was supposed to be, but blended it extremely well, I didn't see it at first. Needed hayleyfcy to point it out to me. Thanks!
Sorry Mr G-2 sir, but me and FMZ think this has gone bye-byes. FMZ has found this before and not finding it for me today.... oh dear oh dear, what is to become of me!
I love that there are little quirky things like this out in the wild. I can only imagine the smiles and chuckles as it was being put in place and the confusion on the faces of people who come accross it. thank you for bringing us here!
Cache was a quick speedy find and all is well.
