We have moved away from the area and so will replace with another closer to the new home. Sad to see this one go - it was our first.
Found originally as part of Rebel98 team, now created own account, re-logging as rustynz
See log below, I am logging the DNF as well, it was many years since my last visit, we may not have found the cache, but it was still a lovely place to come and visit.

Had a good poke around but all that was found today was a ball floating down the stream and a burnt out car in the carpark. Lots of dogs taking their owners out to enjoy the sunshine but no smiley face to add to this cache. Suggest owner check out and confirm if cache is all good? Cheers
The last cache for the day, after many finds, this cache wanted to stay hidden. The last time I was here was 26 years ago! although we have driven past many times, today was the day for a return visit. The carpark was full on our arrival, and the beach had many dogs enjoying the freedom of being off leash. After giving GZ a good search, using torches to explore, the cache did not reveal itself. The cliff has evidence of slips, so I wonder if it washed away? Will wait for a find, before the next visit, hopefully it wont be 26 years!
Not many dogs here today so we took our shoes and socks to cross the shallow stream but could not find the cache. We looked in every hole we could find but no luck - has it gone missing we wonder since others don't seem to have had a problem. Enjoyed the walk along the beach anyway.
We were the only ones without dogs (as expected). Nice quick find and a good chance to get our feet wet.
Send my brother (and the enthusiastic dog) across the estuary (was high tide) to go find and log it for me. TFTC
We walk our dogs here a couple of times each year. It is such a nice place for both dogs and humans. This was our first cache find ever!!! Very cool.
A lovely walk down to the beach and a great view of the harbour today. Many dog walkers going back and forth while at gz. Had to wait some minutes before retrieving / returning cahe but doubt anyone noticed me.
Great hide.

Great cache, we had to wait for the tide to go out a bit, but my son waded through the water and found it easily, tftc
Awesome spot - must have walked passed this one 100x before discovering geocaching so came out today to find it - used the hint but found pretty quickly.

Went out to walk the dog on a fine new years day with the Gam & Co team .First of the year for us.
Borrowed Mrs Sp8s bosses dog and came out here to throw a ball around. Surprising enough, one just happened to get lost on the other side of the stream.

Headed out for my birthday today, exploring the area between Titirangi and Whatipu.
Took the short walk to this cache, and a quick cold paddle across the creek to the cache.
Surprised by the number of dogs out for a play today, but guess thats why its called doggie heaven!
Cache quickly found.
TB out / Tb in.

After not being able to go along with evilno9 last Sunday due to some plans, I decided to attack this one today with the family on this beautiful Sunday afternoon. Loved the beach and the awesome views from here. Definitely lots of dogs today! Got to the cache without getting wet, good timing with the tide. Cache was easily spotted. Seems like the log book had little extra charcoal marking then required. Loved the hide though.
Awesome little track and lovely beach. Thanks for bringing us here.

Conditions were perfect for a paddle from Cornwallis to Clarks Beach and back. Always a popular place here, lucky to get a car park. T4TC - M@
Was on my way home from work and got the summons from evilno9 there was a new cache in one of our favourite areas, so detoured slightly to pick him up and we headed out this way. Had a very enjoyable walk out to GZ and after getting our feet a bit wet headed in the right direction and after a bit of a hunt soon had the cache in hand and a blank logbook to go with it. This was an awesome spot to discover at night, and look forward to coming back during the day. TFTC
After a DNF and a 2TF and with a bunch of westie caches to chose from this evening decided to go for the one that was the greater distance from home. Met up with Mel_Ramsay and made our way out. All pretty quiet out this way at this hour and with the tide being nice and low we picked a good spot to cross and barely got our ankles wet. Which was good because the water was definitely pretty chilly.
Quick find on the other side and an empty log book to go with our visit to a very cool little spot. Swapped coins on the way through. TFTC!
