Sooo many teenagers down here today! Luckily they were all too busy with their various activities to notice us having a seat. Tftc.
Bapgirl and I were on our way home this evening, and thought we'd grab a cache while it was still light. A nice easy find at GZ, in the first place I looked. A slightly spitty evening, so we won't be hanging out at the beach for long. TFTC!
Thanks for the refreshed cache G-2! Happy to change this from a sad face to a happy face and be the second person to sign the new logbook great camo for it's placement.

Climbed to all sorts of spots trying to find this one, nothing here met the hint description either. Not sure if the tide impacts the accessibility but it's a DNF from me.
Out with geodog and himself on a blustery winter day for some light caching. After much hunting this one eluded us. Will simply have to come back another day.
Finally a day that both my bestie and myself arent working! We usually clash with our days off. Todays task geocaches around takapuna! TFTC!

Found with Hint. We definitely looked suspicious lots of muggles out. Thanks for the spot of history.
( ͠❛ ͜ʖ ͡❛) I came over to the Shore via, e-bike/train/ferry/e-bike and will return out west the same way much later on. I have 2 batteries to get me a bit more distance and today I find myself going everywhere.
( ͠❛ ͜ʖ ͡❛) Gorgeous day for caching, and plenty of muggles everywhere enjoying the weather. A group of young Chinese lads brought along a ball and were playing volleyball nearby, it's amazing how many people walked past GZ. I don't remember the wire fence around GZ, been a while since being here, and I bought along a spare cache for this hide, little did I know the C.O has replaced the hide, so need for my little cache today. I have replaced paper here and there today, but can't remember which ones.
( ͠❛ ͜ʖ ͡❛) Thanks G for the hide, would have been fun to see the pool all those years ago.

Another great weekend in Auckland with Lis's Crew to complete this months challenge and find a few extra caches in and around Milford.
We found a park close by and was we had completed a number of park & grabs this morning we decided to make up a loop walk and this was on our walk in/around Milford.
This was an easy find at GZ but we are glad we were wearing our winter caching attire as the grass was very muddy. Thanks for bringing me to this lovely park and TFGC.

Yvettetb and I are down in Auckland again for a geocaching weekend. We had a great day today at the event then collected all the different types needed for the souvenir around Auckland. That was a sucessful outing and although rain constantly threatened it only spat on us occasionally.
The forecast for Sunday wasn't much better. As luck would have it we had another dry and productive day. We even managed to get 5 ftfs in Whangarei to finish our weekend off.
I was keen to clear out some of the Takapuna Milford area today. We parked by the rock cache and went for a big loop walk around the whole Milford area. This was obviously our turning point. A quick find. Thanks for the hide and history that I've just read

Miss Em and I came to Milford for delicious ice creams. We were lucky enough to find a parking spot at the beach and then hunt for a for a cache or two. Such a pretty spot here. TFTC
Quickly found once I spotted the likely location. Wasn’t sure which log to sign so I signed the outer one. Nice rock area. Thanks!
Gosh amazing how many people have set up their gazebos etc for picnics on a windy overcast day and so early in the morning. Must want best spot for the day!
Got to gz hmmm. Lucky Mr b spotted something and bingo cache in hand quickly. Nice little hide.
Thanks for placing the cache G-2.
Find number 4682.
Log signed b&p.

A quick fine. Thanks for placing a cache in this beautiful area. Zambesiboy, a long way from home!
Three baffled gnomes took a good long while to find this one. Genuine sense of achievement when they finally spotted it. TFTC
A nice quick find. Pretty quiet today. Thanks for placing your cache.
Ms_KR and I are in Auckland Auckland for a break and we are exploring the region while we are based here. Today we cruised to finish off the Mega beaches Ad Lab. We had four still to do. We had another great day out, with rain threatening most of the day.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

This one was way down yonder in the paw paw patch, not really but log has been signed.

Out and about with NZ Iceman for the afternoon to pick up a few caches in the area.
We discussed the fast flowing water on the walk over here (NZIceman is keen on surveying these sorts of areas).
At first we started searching in the wrong spot and then I spied something else in the grass...aha of course thats where it will be and lucky I was right.
Thanks for the cache.

Thanks for the cache.
Found it! Big waves and wind today so it made it more exciting. Had looked for it before but was coming at it from the wrong angle. Right under my nose all along
Came here spontaneously to star gaze and ending up stumbling upon this cache! Had no pen so took a pic. TFTC!!
Very busy at Milford Reserve on a sunny day .
Had to try and look invisible for this cool hide .

Gorgeous spot. Had to look up what an angle iron was (you learn something new everyday) ️ Thanks G_2
We ran across the grass, found many things that we thought was the cache but we still found it. TFTC
Another find. It was a bit of a challenge to find and I had to look in a few places. TFTC
Forgot my pen! Nice little loop walk with the kids and dogs, had to make them wait somewhere safe so I could check what I thought would be the ideal hiding spot, which it was! Thanks
We tried looking everywhere on the poles and then realised where it could be! When we finally found it we were so happy! Very lit indeed

Kids getting close to the edge giving me the Willie's. Great historic spot for a cache.
Took a little bit of circling and waiting for people to pass before grabbing this, nice! Satisfying after a walk along seafront and having to bypass all the micros because of sheer amount of muggles out and about on this very unseasonably warm day. Will return when raining!
Not many people around today, something to do with the icy cold blast coming off the sea. Don't fancy a dip in here.
Similar to some previous finders I started searching in completely the wrong area, but once at GZ it didn't take too long to find the recently replaced cache. It's in great condition as well. TFTC!
Stealthed back to GZ and added a replacement at GZ for the incapacitated CO, hope you get well soon. Roads getting quite busy with Americas Cup watchers heading home, and out on the water. All good to enable again now, G.
An early finish today to beat the traffic meant I had a little bit of time up my sleeve to get home at a decent time to wrap up this weeks work from Devonport so I headed back via Takapuna/Milford to tidy up a couple of loose ends and attempt to redeem some missed caches from previous visits. One replacement made (with permission) and a find of a CO replaced cache too, nice.

Having read recent logs I see mention of a reach down but I did, and nothing was located. Might need a CO check please?
#1301. In Auckland for the celebration of life get-together for the wife of a cousin yesterday at the nearby Cruising Club, when it poured after the event. Not geocaching weather!
Nice and sunny today for an early morning walk, and a relatively easy find between dog-walking muggles. Better reach down, but the fishing line is unattached but made no odds to finding.
Tftc g-2.

It’s official... my 14 year old cousin is way better at this than I am. She has found thre that I failed to find previously and had probably spent an hour on she is thoroughly enjoying herself tho thanks heaps for this g-2
Not sure how I couldnt find this one last time! I wasnt even looking in the right area. Today was very easy find thanks to very descriptive hint! TFTC! (I didnt sign log because of covid but I took a photo of the log)
Out today to continue my Takapuna to Milford beach walk. I had to wait for all the muggles to go by with their dogs before searching. Thanks for hiding G-2
And again we started looking at the wrong place, but once we found the right hint item, we were able to start fishing and had soon a big fish ehem cache in hand. Cool hide, but took us quite some time. Tftc
All good here. Cache is good and where it should be. We were on a fitness walk as this cache is very near our house. Could check without touching. Happy caching when we can everyone.
A great piece of history thanks G-2! I struggled to find hint item and after Mr Pazza found it, I struggled to find the cache. I need better glasses!
Didn't take to long to find. Nicely hidden. Cache find #1999. Where is #2000 going to be?
Another quick find for us today on our walk in the sun. Nice and quiet over here, and after a bit of fiddling around in the grass it all came together and the cache was soon in hand. TFTC
day in Takapuna: headed up to Takapuna today after helping my Father with some errands this morning. Spent the day walking from Akoranga to Milford via Takapuna Beach, and experienced some really good caches, especially since this appears to be G-2’s playground. Nice views and good fun all round, so a productive day it was.
The specific log for each cache is as follows:
Quick find here as it began to drizzle, which was good as the girls playing volleyball nearby moved off. The cache was much harder to extract so here’s a photolog in liue of a actual log. TFTC!

Had to return to this one after GZ was preoccupied by some muggles. Was great to know the history behind this place. Really enjoyed the description and the cache once we finally had it in hand. TFTF!
Spent 20 minutes walking around and eyeing out GZ waiting for a chance to get close. Finally, the area was clear. Well worth the wait. TFTC
We got to watch the bridge go up while looking, so that was a bonus. The hint took us straight to it. Tftc
Tftc. Great hide. Had us thinking a while but eventually spotted the likely location.
Out at the playground with miss 4 and decided to find this one. Love Milford beach! Thanks!
We were driving past and noticed this one had been replaced after we previously had not been able to find so we couldnt resist another search.Turned out to be exactly as we had expected.A lovely place.Did worry when we saw the grass had just been cut again.
Over on the north shore collecting race pack for half marathon tomorrow.
Decided to take the kids for a walk along the beach and have a play.
Had a go of "treasure hunting" with our kids. Our foster boy had fun finding this one! TFTC

Found at the third time of asking! Have tried this one twice before and spent ages on each occasion. Today we just walked straight up to it, saw it from a fair way away. Not sure how we’d missed it before! Tftc. With PhilBirdBoys
We're out caching with Agazo and he had found this one ages ago. His map of smilies puts ours to shame, he's found just about all the caches on the North Shore! Got to GZ and he sent us over the fence where we quickly made the find. Tftc
A quick walk from a nearby cache and this one is helping us get closer to the World Turtle. Thanks!
We have never been to this part of Milford before so enjoyed an early morning stroll around the area after having breakfast nearby. Once at GZ the cache was quickly located and hurriedly signed as there was a group of muggles approaching.
The Pohutukawa across the water is a beauty. TFTC.
