Found on our last caravan excursion. Enjoyed a night in this little area. Got to cache as well so a perfect weekend.
After the hike in the woods we felt a bit tired. Thanks to the clear hint, this cache was a quick find right before getting back to the campground for cooking dinner. TFTC G-2 & K-G!

Quick find after stopping for coffee after a trip up to the Waiomu Kauri Grove. TFTC
Found on our way to the Coromandel Peninsula together with Mel180 ! Thank you for the Cache !
Spent the night free camping near here with awesome breakfast at the cafe opposite... nice cache stunning location
Decent clue once we figured out the title. The photo put us on the right path. Quite well hidden but exactly where described. TFTC
Last evening in Coromandel area. Found this cache not that far from the domain. Funny roof house. Greetings from Indonesia and TFTC
Found it after about 10 minutes searching. Well hidden. Cache in good order. Thank you.
What an interesting house that one is. Love driving along here. Mind wasn't in the right place this morning but eventually found. Tftc
Tftc! Interesting house. Cache found in location described but differed from description... I was expecting a g2 camo'd special - small and tricky, but this cache was bigger than i expected...I guess it must have been replaced at some stage.
We enjoyed lunch at the cafe just down the road from here....highly recommend!

Road trip around the Coromandel with lots of caches to find. Quick easy find. The house is very unique. TFTC.
Our journey today bring us from Rotorura to Coromandel. By the way we found some caches.
Thanks for showing this place and hidding the cache.

We explore Coromandel. From Thames, drive via Coromandel to Whitianga and then Cooks Beach, Cathedrale Cave and Hot Water Beach. We had great views and fantastic scenery. We made hikes and puddled holes in the sand. And got us some nice cache.
Thanks to all the owners for the containers. Without the caches, we would never have found some nice place. Greetings from Germany the Moorehlmis

Last one for now as we are stopping often and want to make it to Coromandel for lunch and the Waterworks park. Quick find and sign. Tftc.
Last cache for the trip up to Coromandel as we were starting to get lots of "Why are we stopping here?" and "Can't we just go to Waterworks now?" from the 5 bodies in the back seats.
A quick find here. Interesting log book! I like your DIY "write in the rain" paper. Log book is full and didn't have any spare paper on us so if the NEXT CACHER COULD ADD SOME PAPER that'd probably be helpful.

I was determined to find this one first but Toadless was the one who ended up standing on it. She was kind enough to throw me a bone and let me reach down and nab it.
Our antics scared away some local muggle fishermen before we could grab it, though, so we were alone and free to be as silly as possible.

Somehow I'd scored another leave pass so a short notice call went out over FB, leaving Tauranga by 8am. TNXPro & Jenseeker were up for it and this was our 46th find. We signed the log combinations of PTJ depending on who had the pen. We were lucky to find this cache as quickly as we did due to the thigh high grass covering gz. But find it we did, cheers G--2.

An unusual place for a cache, but I suppose its looking over an unusual looking house.
I have never been this far up this coast until this trip. Quite a contrast after coming over from the east coast.
Thanks for bringing me here.

Nice easy fined on a day out with the family. Catch was wet was left lying on its side
Found in the drizzle - very wet under foot. The seagulls were expressing their disgust at something. Thanks for placing the cache and pointing out the house.
06/08/16 22:00 Another well placed cache, thank you. Unfortunately semi-full of water - as my car interior found out - but a towel fixed that. Yay! Great place to have a break on a cold, wet & windy night, after deciding at some other caches that it wasn't even worth getting out of the car. Cheers, GC.
2059 Down the coast with me dad. Stopped here to finish our fish n chips. Called some months ago with no success. So easy today.
After a day up at Coromandel, came back to our accommodation at Waiomu. Out for an afternoon walk on a lovely day so headed to grab this cache. Nice quick find. TFTC
More Pacific Coast Highway magic.
Hahaha, enjoyed the architectural conjecture.
A straightforward find.
All in order here; log signed, then cache safely re-hidden just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too

Well this took a bit of searching but I finally found the cache. It is no longer a V tube more like a hand cream jar. TFTC
We had no luck today finding this cache Searched for a while including the hint information.

Working on the Geo-Licence series and needed to find 50 caches in a day a minimum of 1km apart so a plan was put together to take a trip to collect them along with Agazo, Mrs HeMaLuDy and thebrownehornet. I left home at 8am and returned just after 10.30pm clocking a total of 476km on the car. The scenery was awesome and reminds me of all that is great in New Zealand.
This one didn't count for Agazo as he had found it previously but the rest of us were happy to have another quick find along the route.
Thanks for the cache.

Keylev and Agazo hatched a plan to collect 50 geocaches 1 km apart for their GIO licence, and thebrownehornet was also going along for the ride. At the last minute Mr HeMaLuDy said he could manage the kids and school pick-up, sports etc so Mrs HeMaLuDy decided to tag along too - I'm not sure he was expecting us to be home quite so late as he tried to keep the kids up until I got home but finally put them to bed around 9 (we were home around 10 pm).
We drove pretty much around the Coromandel Peninsula to achieve the goal, and collect a few extras as well. A great day, amazing weather, incredible scenery and very few DNF's.
A nice easy find here.

Gorgeous day!! We found it easily. Seal of Approval basking on the rocks while the boys go for a dip. TFTC.

Everyone seemed to be out fishing this morning. I'm sure two of the fishermen that came in as I began my search were a bit curious about what I was up to. But I waited until they were out of sight before retrieving the cache. It was an easy enough find but it looked like it hadn't been found for a while. There was quite a bit of water in the cache. I cleaned it up as best I could and replaced it. Tftc.
I parked in the wrong spot for this one and thought that a walk on the beach would be great, anyway - never mind about the drizzle... I ended up with a very wet left foot after I had crossed the stream - mostly on the stepping stones Could have been very simple if I had traveled further up and parked in the adjacent car park!! TFTC
Might be my last cache for the night, it's nearly 9:30pm. Left home at 4:30am. Been a long day. Cache here all good. Windy ad on the beach.
Nice hide. We made a quick stop on our way up the coast. Easy find with the hint. Tftc
Interesting looking house. Beautiful spot too with great views. TFTC!

I found this cache as part of a group of overachieving Hamiltonian Geocachers who thought it would be a good idea to leave Hamilton after work on a Friday and drive some 400km around the Coromandel Peninsula collecting caches along the way and arriving home just before 8am Saturday morning. We signed the logs “1HIC” an anachronism of our Geocaching handles (1HPG1, HKCB, IamMrWalker & Cats&Dragons). I think I was invited because my Geocaching handle provided a much needed vowel to make our anachronism pronounceable. Or so I was lead to believe. We had a memorable laugh filled journey which we wouldn't have experienced without dedicated cache owners placing so many hides around the countryside-so thank you!
Since it was dark at GZ we didn't notice the unusual residence across the water. We had to be quiet while we searched as there was a camper van nearby and it took a few minutes to locate the container. It was not in the best shape so C&D delved into his sizable bag of tricks and replaced the container and log so others can enjoy this find for a while yet.

Called past here with some other nutters as we were going over the top, they found the cache and I replaced it with a new one (and Log) as the existing one had lost its lid and been broken, log was also full.
Should be all good to go for the next six months
Cheers

Teamed up with 11HPG11, Iammrwalker & Cats&Dragons for a night assault on some on the new power trails around the Coromandel/Waihi area. Left Hamilton around 6.00pm and returned home about 7.30am, mostly successful on our quest. A couple of DNF's, and a missed FTF (got the notification about 40mins after we pasted the area), but we did manage to get one FTF on the last cache of the day. All in all, another great mission with a lot of laughs and good times, thanks to everyone for placing all the caches.
Needed a bit of a scratch about to locate, and C&D eventually came up with the goods. The container has seen better days, so we replaced. Thanks for the hide.

Found on our tiki tour in-between World Cup cricket games. Without Geocaching we would never have known of this unique house, thanks for making us stop to see it.
A very sad looking cache, with a crushed container, no lid, and a tattered log, really needs some TLC.

We’re here from the UK on the trip of a lifetime with Geocaching as one of the ‘must do’ elements of the trip.
This was an easy find and thanks to the CO for bringing us here. Unfortunately the cache container is broken and the top has gone.

thanks to all the owners of the geocaches that we found on our way to Thames and Coromandel. We loved the beautiful sights and good caches during this trip! TFTC and greetings from Belgium.
Today we decided to go to The Coromandel Peninsula, and on our way back to the motel in Paeroa we found some caches along the road.
Here we had to search for a while, but it was found . Thanks for the cache.
The lid to the container was missing.

We are over the ditch for 18 days, with the goal of achieving our 1000 milestone at East Cape, (Less than 30 to go) which will give us our Most Easterly Find as well, 4* east of our current one.
Sorry about the delay in logging, no access to a computer, had to wait until we are home in Qld.

Cache a bit worse for wear with no lid and a crushed container. But log still dry and signable. Thanks.
Visiting from UK. Hired a sleeper car and travelling round the north island seeing the sights, visiting a few friends over here and hopefully picking up a few caches. Been up north and seen some wonderful sights, done some walking and learnt some information about the country and it's inhabitants. Came back to our friend in Auckland. Went to the Bunker Folk club at Devonport Monday night, excellent. Setting off for Gisborn to see more friends and visiting places recommended by our friend. We travelled along the coast to Kawakawa bay, bird beach and up the Coromandel. Not much time to get as far as we can before nightfall but just stopped for this one. So many rocks. I disturbed a little brown lizard but eventually found it. The lid was missing and the log bag was split so I fear this will get wet in the next rain. Pretty little house. TFTC
Another weekend... Another mission... Gap (of Fap and Gap) and I are working on several challenges right now. Who needs sleep anyway... (It's overrated). By the end of today, we will record our longest caching day to date (21 hours); complete a circuit of Coromandel Peninsula; find lots of caches; cover a huge number of kilometers; and race against the heavy rain forecasted for the region...
The cache was a quick find, thanks to the hint. We couldn't see the house across the river through the darkness, though it looks to be placed in an ideal spot for fishing. TFTC.

On another road trip with Squirrel Nutcase to collect the 309 trail so thought we should pick up a few more caches as we passed. Started our adventure at 6am Saturdayy and back home 3am Sunday with 91 caches in hand. Best ever day caching or should I say day and a bit.
