Quick find when I worked out how to enter the flax circle !
As I had read earlier logs, I came prepared and replaced the log book !

Third go at this. Pretty straight forward once I used correct co-ords. Perhaps one of the trees mentioned has now been chopped down. TFTC
We hadn't realised that this cache was disabled and wondered why it hadn't any finds for ages. Still there and in good condition, just needs a new log book as the current log is pretty fragile.
Pretty hot in this sheltered little bit of bush so pleased when StreetWalker quickly turned up the cache. TFTC.

It's time to give up looking after this cache which is a bit too far from home for me to look after any more.
Please send me a message if you'd like to adopt this cache, will be more than happy to transfer it for someone to look after =)

Well when you give your 7yr old the GPSr you have to be prepared to bush crash through a 10m section of native New Zealand flax bushes, to discover a much more sedate path area once you get to GZ!!!! He did find the cache on his first look! We then heard more voices in the flax, they didn't come closer so we were not discovered, we discovered them - a group of young teenage girls, we didn't stick around long enough to find out what they were using this hidden area for, hopefully just girl talk. TFTC encontrarnos it brought me just down the road from an old friend who happened to be home too.

#991; @0725. Went out for jogging this morning. Decided for the route east from Kohinamara where we have our temporary HC to find some caches there.
This was the first one found (after two fails). I have been looking around for a while since I have not been able to identify the trees and their intersection. Not beeing disturbed when logging I left my SWG in. TFTC. Greetings from Slovakia. Pe.

Lovely day in Glendowie, headed to the nearby Playground between Waterpolo Games at the local Pool & of course had to grab a cache or 2 !
Our 5th find on this glorious Saturday. Cache requires new log but otherwise in good condition.
Second time lucky with this one.
Bit of a challenge - thank goodness for the hint!

Well hidden, was with nephew had us searching in a few places, but eventually we had found the cache and the log was signed. Thanks for the hide.

So many choices and everything is wet! hmm were to begin, do I really have to search there? What's the hint again?
The airport must be open, we here a plane fly overhead, the fog is at last lifting (its after 1 pm) Well after a little more looking the cache was found, yeah! Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.

Well hidden, found this at night with my head torch, now's it about 8pm, last cache for the night, time for dinner.
I was out for a Sunday drive and decided to collect this one. This was nice straight forward find with my caching nose on fire. TFTC!
I used to live next to this park so cache brought back happy memories thanks.
Panicked as I got close to gz as I saw a calling card on the ground & thought cache had been muggled. All safe though, must have been dropped in error by previous cacher. Dropped tb.

Once I got the right GZ it was very quick! Glad I persevered. Cool spot, have run past it many times and never explored. Tftc! Also put logs back in plastic bag as they were getting a bit worn and damp.

Had a few hours to kill this evening after work, so headed to this area to collect a few. Made this much harder than it needed to be, easy find in the end. Thanks for the cache

The master finder was on to this one. Found cache with Rediguana while in Auckland for the NZ Mega TFTC
#562 Not many people about this morning as the weather was very iffy. Found GZ quickly but was a bit reluctant to retrieve the cache because of the other residents here.... lots of bugs. Took my concrete pills (Harden Up) and grabbed it. Ew. Not a fan of roaches and arachnids. Signed my name, replaced cache and off I went to find more treasure. TFTC!
What a cool little spot hidden in there. Good place for a secret picnic
Cache was a bit damp. Dried it out and replaced wet bag.

No hobo's about this afternoon, the cache was where the hint suggested. Luckily the log was double bagged, as the container had a bit of water in it, not surprising after all the rain we have had.
In the area this afternoon with evilno9, we decided we'd get a few more caches before the rain became too heavy. We headed over to this one reading the hint out while we walked. Coords said 6m over there in the middle of that flax and under that likely looking hint object. Hmmmm this doesn't appear to be right as there was no geotrail but oh well, just get in there and find it i guess!
I decided to crash my way through almost loosing my balance and hunted around the base for no reason. evilno9 then proceeded to find it 6m behind me in a not so obvious spot but both glad we found it.
On our way back to the car i thought id just check my pockets and make sure i had my phone, keys, wallet etc. That seems odd, i seem to have lost my phone!! Yep, on loosing my balance in the flax, my phone had fallen out of my pocket!! We searched and searched with the rain now getting heavier and heavier. Ended up calling miss on evilno9's phone to run the "find my iphone" app on her phone. She was able to send a beep through and lo and behold, we could hear my phone beeping somewhere in the flax! Finally, found the phone which was deeply buried and camo'd inside the flax bush. All in all, very happy to make it out with my phone. I won't be forgetting this cache in a hurry!!

This one was definitely a cache to remember for us. Stopped in here with the intention of heading off to the park nearby to collect a few more for the day and couldn't quite make sense of the hint but had a pretty good idea of what needed to be searched. Managed to find the cache but it was the search for the missing iphone that turned out to be the real challenge. Thankfully technology came to the rescue and the phone was soon in hand and we were free to leave again. Quite the adventure - TFTC
Nice find with the help of Molly, Olivia and Diesel had no pen so took a picture, the log book was wet.
Up in Auckland for work for a few days and with some time to spare before getting down to it, it was time to go and find a few caches. No one at home today so a nice quick find in the first place I checked. TFTC, Biggles.
One more for the day, got to GZ when another curious dog came to find us....followed by his muggle owner. We must have looked quite strange standing where we were. But she gathered her disobedient dog and off she went. Once gone, we used guess work and quickly found cache. TFTC

Nice little hidding spot here, we managed to find the hardest way in then walked out the easy way so circle the location first then find the path. Room for a little swap.
Found straight away, Gps coordinates bang on. Would be a great hiding place when park is busy

Passed this park on our way back home. Easy find for us.

Pulled up to GZ and had horror flashbacks of the previous cache that was here that we could not find. This was very quick and this nemesis area is now cleared up. TFTC
Read the hint and tried to look for the trees but could not find it today. Might try again another day.
Had a deja vu moment as GZ looked very familiar. Found the container, log and lid all strewn over the ground. Dried out the container, added a new log in a back and replaced where GPS and clue indicated. Maybe a good idea for the owner to check? TFTC

Mr Geckoh a little confused by hint but once corrected by Mrs Geckoh the cache was soon in hand. Miss Geckoh didn't even get time to put her shoes on. We remembered the area from the previous cache placed here. The dogs had a quick run in the reserve, a drink and bikkie, then we were back on the road again. TFTC

An interesting location - stood and looked around, identified the hint no problem and that little sucker on in hand just as quickly. t4tc
That was a nice easy one compared with the last one I attempted not far from here. TFTC.
Was making my way around Auckland today cleaning up a few caches as I managed to get another weekend stay over in Auckland.
After finding GC3GP4X - MONKEY 1 (Auckland), I decided that while I was in Glendowie that I might as well pick up this cache as well, this cache is only a short drive from Churchill Park, arriving near Glendowie Park, after reading the cache page I thought to myself that this was going to be fun as I was wondering if I was going to get a car park or not near GZ.
Arriving on Whitehaven Road and not too far from GZ, I was a bit lucky as there was a break in the traffic and I was able to find a car park not too far away from the Glendowie Park. Making my way to GZ was easy as I did the direct route, was quite surprise that I was able to find the cache in the first spot that I looked as the hint was very accurate and this made for a very easy find. What a nice spot for another cache, thanks for placing it here and for bringing me to this spot. TFTC TNLNSL (4792).Now to get back to the car and find the next cache on my list.

Made things hard for ourselves by walking around the whole perimeter in the dewy grass before finding the easiest entrance! TFTC.

A very easy find. I think I found a cache here a while ago in almost the same place... maybe... Thanks.
Straight to it without any problems. Think there was a cache here in a very similar spot a little while back. T4TC
When I read the name i was almost put off. Still not sure why it's called that. It was pretty free of trash and after a circumnavigation we found a pretty easy way in. Great hint. We could pick GZ before we got out of the car. NINO TFTC
finally found it after the third time looking!!!! TFTC TNLN

Decided I just had to fill in yet another gap in my caching calendar with a couple of caches out Glendowie way, with the Future Finder in tow. Gee, you know you have been caching for awhile when you start finding caches less than 10m from where one has previously found a cache! Nice spot all the same. Super quick find in the first spot I checked. Cheers for the cache!
