Thanks for this cache.
I'm sorry for this delayed log.
Be happy. It's just about smiles, not numbers only.
Awesome cache, especially after we had just been to the military museum! Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.
Last day in Darwin so headed out to grab a few caches. On the way from the cbd to the Mindil markets.
Quick find as I wandered by. Interesting history and very apt cache container. Log very full though. TFTC.

Out for a morning run on my last day in Darwin. An interesting spot, probably like most Australians (those in the south) I didn't realise how involved Darwin was in the second world war or how many attacks they had.

As we made our way through the outback finding caches and having a great time
we found a range of caches some day with Team Cracker, Felix II and firesafe on the way home.
Thanks to TiedyeSmileys for placing the cache for us to find.

Enjoyed reading the WWII history. A shame there's not a lot left to see but progress and cyclones have the last say. And the hide....awesome! TFTC TiedyeSmileys.
This one looked interesting so I put the details into my sat nav whilst in the UK, flew to Singapore, boarded the cruise ship Pacific Dawn and waited until we arrived at Darwin. A short, hot and sticky walk to the cache and there it was!
Very interesting, TFTC.

We got off the Azamara and enjoyed a geocaching day in Darwin . A nice quick one with interesting history. TFTC
3rd easy find cache for the day with new found friends new to geocaching...tried this one after playing mahjong at their place and decided to find a couple more around their area...we weren't disappointed and just good to know a little of the history of the place and seeing those preserved strafe holes in the gate. TFTC!!!
Hi there TiedyeSmileys.
We found your cache **"WW2 Strafing"** at 10:01:00 AM today. This cache makes our find count 14196.
Today's cache run was a quick dash to log a few before it got too hot. (We think this may be a regular occurrence for a while). We thoroughly enjoyed our tour today, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found these interesting places.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around 4 metres from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

3th find of the day. Even got a tour of the warehouse of the airplane museum. Many thanks.
Great container - how appropriate. Thank you TiedyeSmileys for a nice piece of WWII history and a quick find for the leap year spot on my calendar and the souvenir.
Nice quick find with the hint. Interesting piece of history too. Thanks for the cache
Team Omam from the Netherlands has only one aunt left. And as she will have her 100th birthday early February, we decided to join the birthday party. But …., she lives in Sydney Australia! An excellent opportunity for us to explore this continent once again and find Geocaches along the way. We will do a 3.5 weeks trip! At places where we will stay for a few days (Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Darwin), we will organize Meet and Greet events. We will try to find mainly caches with high favorite points, caches from 2000 and 2001, earth caches, webcam caches, virtuals and letter box hybrids.
Today we concentrated our caching around the Darwin CBD and surrounds. A great day finding a variety of hides and some interesting places that caches let us to. With a ziz zag approach we managed to find most of these on our list. This was one of them.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Just taking a wander and picking up a few caches while waiting for our geovehicle to be serviced. Thanks for the history lesson. TFTC.
10:22:00 AM. Interesting spot as we were cruising around town. Signed log. Thanks TiedyeSmileys for placing this cache.
I decided to have a wander around Darwin and grab a few caches on the way. Great container. TFTC.
[Pink]As we head from town to town as part of our "Purposeful Meander around Oz" the Rats and the Mini Rats found this cache. Dad did most of the hard work here, the detail of our find can be found in the Rats log. Sorry for the duplicate log but it takes nothing away from the find.
A nice quick find
Thanks for being part of our great adventure.

I'd seen the signs to this location each day and had it on my to visit list but didn't realise until I arrived at GZ that there was a cache there. So two birds with one stone on my walk today, a cache and a bit of history.

An afternoon cycling around Darwin with Geoson Snr, while GSJ and GW were at a Birthday Party.
I have seen this building many times from the cycle path, but never from the front or the sign board.
Thanks for bringing us here and learning a bit more about Darwin's colourful history, as well as what the word "victualling" means!
Loved the cache container - nice work!

A warm morning drive around Darwin after the flash mob event.
Hardly any muggles around at the moment and mostly good quick finds.

Drive by for a history lesson and a quick find. Have learnt a lot about the city I call home on my trek today.
A ncie easy drive by, with a bit of history. Liked the cache container as well. TFTC
This was a quick and easy drive by
Landlockedsailors and I were going into town, because I wanted to revisit the Bicentennial Park. The kids I really enjoyed it here when we visited in 2009. This is a good place for a cache and it's a nice container [^].
Thanks a lot for the cache

First to sign the new log! Loved the cache container - very appropriately themed. Find number 6 of 7 in the area today with a geocolleague. Thanks!
We are enjoying the caches in historic locations around Darwin. Thanks TiedyeSmileys.
Enjoying the history lessons to be learnt around Darwin. Very fitting camo - well done. Log sheet full - we took the last spot, thanks TiedyeSmileys.
Who knew there were still WW2 bullet holes around Darwin? Not me obviously.
Quick find, thanks for bringing me here.

Another area of WW11 history that is not listed on the tourist trail.
I don't presume this cache is a remnant from that era.

I loved this cache! Will have to make some in Alice Springs for all of our WWII sites. TFTC
I was out and about on the pushbike strafing a few caches
But after missing my targets on several caches early on, I was running out of ammo [:o]
Finally outside this historic spot I hit the target
A nice easy cache find surrounded by wartime history you can see [^]

Edging painfully close to my 4000th find. Loved my first few hours of caching in Darwin. I'm so used to seeing yellow smileys on my map that all these green boxes really get my adreneline pumping. Sadly the sun was setting so I needed to get back to my accommodation, making this my final find of the afternoon. Thanks for the cache TiedyeSmileys.
