Logs
TFTC! Great hiding spot. Log is wet though - water must be getting in. Enjoying my time with my daughter and I on our date day
Retrieval was like one of those creepy mystery boxes, terrifying!! Found and signed choo choo TFTC
This one was a bit of a tricky one, but persistence paid off. Always an adventure. Tftc
Back in Sullivan's Bay for more Adventures, caught fish this morning now for a cache this afternoon.Nice to turn this dnf blue face to a smiley yellow today. TFTC
We're up n the area for a couple of days walking and geocaching in some of the Auckland Regional Parks which are amazing! I was just thinking that this wasn't a T1.5 and then I read the previous log so I concur! Another fun cache to find on a lovely walk, TFTC
Easy find in it's little cubby hole. Replaced carefully back, wedged as found. Cache is all good. TFTC
Another great cache, thank you - 7 year old is full of beans and having a blast. Cache a bit water-logged, log very soggy.
After the initial plan to visit Maturangi Park was scuttled due to a trail of newly released FTF's we had to plan another trip here.
So along with Keylev and Mr Stik-A-Crane I drove everyone up to the park (we will not mention the slight detour we took due to note having the Google Maps voice prompt on when driving up.
A great day had even though it was a little windy.
Slightly off the main path but we are all mountain goats aye

Headed up this way today for a tour around Mahurangi Regional Park with a few members of team SEAC, and 1 muggle.....this was a second attempt at this park, with the first not quite getting off the ground for some reason that now eludes me,(that's right...we got sidetracked with some new publications in the Waitakere's), but today was a more successful attempt....parking in by the picture frame carpark, we headed for the inlet crossing to get onto the other part of the park as the tides allowed easier access.
Thanks to all the CO's for placing these caches and maintaining them.
TFTC.

Headed out here with Mr NZ Travellers, Mr Stik-a-Crane and a new friend who had not cached before. There were previous plans to do this over Labour Weekend but we got distracted with a whole new set of caches on a trail out west so today was the day to rectify this, the tides were in our favour, the weather looked ok (not too hot just windy) and spirits were high. GPS says we walked 12.93kms just over 5hrs.
Down in the dip we go for a nice quick find.
Thanks for the cache.

Took a spider web to this face for this one but it’s always worth it! GPS took me to a very bare patch of land but the hint have me an idea of what to look for near by and a very quick find from there. TFTC
Nice quick find, thankfully one of us was happy to reach in as I don’t do places where there could be spider guardians! TFTC
Had to descend again (which now means more uphill!) but nice easy find. SL TNLN TFTC
Anita and Carly managed to grab this one whilst the remaining four of us enjoyed the surrounding area. Found with Gernita and PhilBirdBoys. TFTC.
Not really a fan of big dark holes but I had to be brave as the kids were hot and tired so stayed up the hill. Another great hide. Thanks!
Overshot this one so had to return. Couldnt quite see where i was meant to be, but finally found it. TFTC
Yep, another neat find, thanks neatad. All good here.
Bit of a bigger day today, plenty of finds (35), 15 kms walked, and a few target areas visited and cached 'out'. I was on the trail at Moirs Hill/Pohuehue Falls Track, at 0700 and got back home at around 1630 after also visiting McElroy Reserve, Mahurangi West, and some smaller walks out the back of Puhoi so a variety of scenery experienced too. Thanks to all COs for their caches.

Imagine where you'd hide it and then it is an easy find. Don't be scared, no poisonous spiders ..
Out walking in the park today. Did the Cudlip point track to begin with. Took the more difficult approach of getting to the GZ but managed to make a find of this deeply hidden cache. Will take the easier route back up to the track.
While camping at the beach, decided to give the orienteering course a go. Grabbed a cache or two on the way. Pity no one in my family wanted to join me. TFTC. Didn't fancy sticking my hand here, so didn't sign.
No luck for us here today, read hint & other logs....got within 1m of GZ but only a big hollow empty hole.
Easily found...
Many thanks...
Lovely day to be out and about.
Nice and shady.

Decided we would try and grab the caches over this side of the harbour. Set off after lunch hoping to get all the caches and the two on saddle island.
Got to the area and searched a few likely spots, looked at the last activity and they hadn't found so were a bit worried. Researched the spots around and located the hidey hole. Thanks for the hide

3.30pm. The phone GPS wandered about a bit in this hollow and after searching a number of likely spots gave up. The Regional Park is well worth another visit.

Took a bit of clambering around to find the right area, thanks for the picture hint, it spurred us on. Great hide when you are finally looking in the right place.
Nice find with woolwood9 today.
We enjoyed the drive / walk around the area.
Stamped logs as tm/ww NZ which may just look like a black smudge on plastic logs!

Obvious place but so well hidden we missed it a few times before looking more carefully.
There were a couple of options to choose from to search but we found the cache in the first place we looked
Out and about with Merlot58, alunb and nette1234 for the day. This park was our destination of choice for the day and in particular the puzzle cache. It was great to be able to get these trads on the way around.
One has no idea who Ben10 was or is or what their connection to the cache was but regardless we were able to look for the cache. Finding this cache is all about looking from the right end I guess so fortunately we had a previous finder who found himself drifting to the right spot and shortly thereafter a find was made.
Nice to find this 8 year old cache - all good here.

Enjoying the walk out to the point and grabbing a few caches along the way. Had to clear a few cobwebs to access this one but soon had it in hand. Tftc
We discovered this was a very popular area on Good Friday. We had a lovely afternoon walking the Cudlip Point Loop Track with a sunfilled lunch break at Te Muri Estuary. The caches made the walk even more enjoyable but this was quite a tricky one to locate. After a thorough search, the only obvious spot was the right spot. Tftc!
Another one for the littlest one in the family, the GPS was sending us all over the show, TFTC
It's always with a bit of trepidation that we reach into dark holes for fear of what might be hiding within but fortunately all that was lying in wait for us was the cache.
Excellent hiding spot, this one's not likely to get muggled. Thanks neatad.

Lovely spot. Like a few others we were a bit reluctant to put our hand in the hole. TFTC
Wet wet wet ... Not the cache. Trails here. All good at GZ. Great park great caches in Mahurangi West. Happy International Geocaching Day 2018!
Found on a family walk around the orienteering trail today. Check out the photo of who found nearby! Thanks!
Team Kiwiscot enjoying a nice afternoon walk around Mahurangi Regional Park. We have been here before several years ago but not sure we were caching at the time. Kiwiscot quickly found the correct location but only looked with her eyes. For some reason she was not keen to stick her arm inside. Kiwi has no issues with this sort of thing so he got to claim the find. TFTC
I looked in a few other spots before I found one that would allow the cache to be hidden according to the hint. TFTC.
Today one of us had a birthday and we had the day free, so we decided to come and explore the Mahurangi Regional Park. This was our first visit here, and we had an enjoyable time walking the tracks and picking up caches along the way.
We stopped by for this cache after going out to the point. Could see it has been very muddy here, but just one week of nice fine weather is drying it out nicely. No problem locating the correct hiding place of the cache. Thanks!

We joined up with Aiden29 to explore Mahurangi. Our approach to GZ was very muddy after all the recent rain. GPS took a while to settle, but once they did it was a straight forward find.
Headed up to Mahurangi to explore today with Jag50. Took some searching as gps was pointing all over place. Very muddy approach down to GZ, but we located the cache in the end.
Continued on our wander today with liketips and TheMexican and stopped by this one. Like the others on our journey today it was reasonably straight forward and we soon had the cache in hand. Nice spot - TFTC
Out exploring the Mahurangi orienteering course with evilno9 and TheMexican. No problems here, as the cache was exactly where promised, so it was quickly found and logged, and we were back on our way. Nice hide, TFTC
Unfortunately I took the long way round to this one from nearby cache "Down on the corner". Contemplated the direct route but decided to stick to the path. Once in the area it was down and then round a few times before spotting the hiding spot. Grabbed cache and signed. On returning I dropped my pen into the hole and had to spend another 5 minutes feeling around until I found it and could retrieve it. Thanks for the cache placement
Out for the late afternoon to search for the caches on this loop. This one was a quick find as the hint was bang on. Thanks for the caches in this area - it made it possible for the group from British Columbia to get their caching fix!
Caching with KiwifruitsNZ for the day, our aim was to tackle the caches out at Mahurangi Regional Park. Another find along this beautiful loop track, we have never visited this area before and always enjoy the gems of places we find with caching. A quick and straightforward find here, time to carry along on the track. Thanks for the hide.
Lovely peaceful spot up here and I have a view of somewhere, possibly Whangapouroa or Silverdale in the distance. I'm not to familiar with local landmarks this end of the country so please don't laugh if I am completely off track with my assumptions.
