Got up early one Saturday morning to do this series, but only did this one. I think I'll return with my bike in July to do these! Will probably have more significance. This cache had been damaged severely by some randoms who also included some unfortunate comments in the log book. I didn't have any containers on me so maintenance is required. Sucks, the cache looked like a stump Lillee shattered in his heyday. Random useless fact: my dad played cricket with Lillee before he went on to become a Test cricketer. Said he was as fast then as he was playing for Australia and no one wanted to face him!
I have disabled this cache as it was badly damaged will reenable when I can hopefully very soon
A nice quick and easy find with a 100 odd metre walk to GZ.

Went out to the sporting memories series after spotting it on my map! Not realising it was a bike trail we had to do a lot of fence jumping and commando crawling under barbed wire. Have a few cuts on my back! I'll have to come back another day with my bike so I can ride the trail! TFTC!
A nice series along the bike track. As we are coming from NSW we didn't have any bikes with us and were stuck to the car. This means a lot of jumping fencing and crawling little hills, a sporting memorie on itself!!

Day four of our caching trip. I joined up with friends to make our attempt on some of the trails south. We achieved many personal bests and milestones on this trip. Thanks to my fellow cachers for the company and thanks to the 'Deenifty' for the obvious effort gone into this series and the sporting history. Great fun. SL..TFTC
Let see how many of these we get done of this series . With the three of us, quick find .TFTC
A nice walk along the bikeway gained Owl a smiley, but as she turned back from replacing the cache she was sprung by a cyclist. How dare they use the bikeway for the purpose for which it was intended! With luck those cycling goggles obscured what Owl was up to.
Found with The Rats, FarmerFrentzen and Big Matt and Shell as part of a ‘Gangsters’ trip to tackle the many power trails in South Australia over a 4 day period.
After getting off the plane and getting started we headed for this series in the darkness. A bit wet underfoot and some challenges but we had fun re-living many great sporting moments. TFTC!

Our 7059th overall find.
Found with steeba, The Rats and FarmerFrentzen on our SA 2013 trip. After flying in late tonight we decided to make a bit of a run for the bush finding as many caches as we could. The rain held off as we made our way east, This was our first cache for the trip and was found fairly easily.
Thanks Deenifty for the cache.

Found during another invasion of South Australia with The Rats, Steeba, Big Matt and Shell (collectively known as The Gangsters).
This was one of several we gathered after hoping off the plane in the late evening on the way out to Black Hill. Although it was quite dark and wet I'd imagine this would be a great series to do on bike in daylight hours.
Thanks Deenifty for the cache.

Heading over to South Oz with steeba, Farmer Frentzen and Big Matt, it was great to have the gangsters back together for another SA invasion, last time we were here was 2009.
We found this cache as part of the many series/trails we found over our 4-day spree. Our trip has created many milestones, none better than our own new one-day record and a new monthly tally.
I apologise for the duplicate log, by no means does it detract from the enjoyment of finding this cache. Thanks to contributing to the gangsters invasion.

we parked across the road for a quick pick up, & then realised just how much lower than the road the track is! haha anyway it was a good job we were where we were, as i could see the cache in the open & very visible from where we were..... sent hubby down for the retrieval & he put it back where we thought it should go.

It is a gorgeous day in Adelaide so lets get outside and get some fresh air and excercise ... Ooh and some caches and this track seemed ideal for our scoot/walk.

Chickenoo and his Mum found this on their way to a Sunday Roast with Nanna! Thanks
I learned a lot about famous sports people while doing this cache series, not particulary in to sport, but still thought it was a great idea. Thanks!
On the way to the medieval festival. Unfortunately, didn't get to go. Turned off car, and tried to restart, dead battery. What a day.
Stopped by on the way to tackle some of the Oz Mega caches, to clean up a few caches in the area that I hadn't managed to get to while working in the Adelaide Hills most of last year. This PT was only just in the process of starting when I last had a look. Just went after a few as I'll return with the GeoPedals when spring rolls around. TFTC Deenifty!
Noticed I had a DNF so called in to do maintenance check and found cache all good still where it should be and in good condition
All 4 members of team M-SEZ spent the day caching around areas like Nairne, Mt Torrens and Cudlee Creek. Creeping our way toward 2000 we didn't quite get there today, but we had a great time driving around in the hills.

A nice little walk and a nice easy find. No TB though. It may not have been logged yet? TFTC
That was a great era in Australian Cricket. I watched them in action live at the Gabba and of course heard that phrase often while listening to the 'Cricket on the radio. Grabbed the TB. Thanks Deenifty.
#1989 11:29:00 It was a short distance from Hahndorf to the Barossa Valley. So we had some time to fill in and what's better than caching during the day. This cache was a quick and nice find.

Enjoyed a day of caching in the Adelaide Hills. A beautiful day, not too hot, meant that we could do some of the more physically taxing caching without getting too hot. An interesting variety of caches and it was great to find this one.
Nice work thanks to Deenifty.

Out for a days caching with TheWhiteDogGang.
The main cache we were after was The Daily Challenge Cache as TWDG recently completed his grid.
We then continued find "a few" other caches, ending up with 40 for the day.
Hozat!

Found while on a caching evening with Alex-thesquirrel and the Traut half of Traut+wombat. A quick find
I was so pressed for time today that I could do only 2 caches on this bikeway today. This had to be done as I saw a lot of these dismissals back in the 70's and early 80's when I was a regular cricket goer.

Found it while out geocaching along the Amy Gillett bikeway. Wow! Busy road and also busy bikeway...
Thanks Deenifty for the cache.

Ahhh, a sporting memory that I am very familiar with! Being a big cricket fan, these names are very familiar.
I wonder if a recent finder has lost their umbrella, as there is one sitting a couple of feet above this cache!
Thanks Deenifty.

15th of the "Sporting Memories" caches today. Cricket isn't my game so don't know much of these guys other than thier names.

Sorry for the late log, did this as passing by and forgot to log it. I watched many a "caught Marsh, bowled Lillee" and remember those days fondly. The team isn't the same anymore...TFTC.
Found while riding bikeway with family including geograndkids.

Found while out geocaching along the Amy Gillett bikeway with my Schatzy and Mr & Mrs Alchin. A great day was had by all, plenty of fun, food and finds. Truly inspirationa men, a great reason to be born on the late 60's, memories of watching the cricket with Rod behing the wickets and Dennis with ball in hand on the field really made my childhood that bit more extra special Both GREAT Australians!!!

Found easily after a short walk with Mr and Mrs A. Nice winters day out in the lovely Adelaide hills. The cache was fairly exposed so we covered it up after signing the log.

Wow, Marsh & Lillee now there's some classic cricket players.
I think I found parking the car harder than finding the cache, it was quite visible.
I loved the tree arcade, so I took a picture, also covered the cache a bit better.
Cheers Deenify

A classic pair. I really got into cricket when these guys came along. Who wouldn't.
Thanks to Deenifty and clear skies from TeamAstro.

Loved this pair. Lillee and Marsh. Iron gloves and the rocket. So good. Let's have the 70's back again.
A wind down day after the Scouts Rally SA. Out caching with Honeysucker getting the Winding Way to Nairne series and the Sporting Moments series as well. 40 finds for the day starting and finishing with a Sneaky Squeaky cache.
One of many finds we were playing tag team with a couple of muggle mums walking the bikeway (we told them all about geocaching). TFTC.

We have to admit we're old enough to be able to remember the feats of these two in their hey-day. Found the cache quickly and easily. Thanks.
That was a great era in Australian cricket. Had intentions of walking the couple of K's from home but had to go to Woodside so grabbed the series on my way. Thanks for the cache Deenifty
I was nearby grabbing a couple of others, so I made a quick grab.
Was brought up with Cricket and spent many hours listen and watching these guys play.
Thanks

Mr Tardis must be caching crazy. A very cold and wet afternoon with intermittent rain - what better weather for some bike caching! Mrs Tardis was visiting some friends in Woodside, so I planned ahead with the bike on the car. I took the opportunity to drop her off and managed to have a great bike ride along the bike track and around Oakbank. I managed to find a total of 10 caches during 90 minutes of riding and finding.
Signed the log. Thanks Deenifty for another cache along the bikeway.

Took longer to find than should have today but persistence was the name of the day. It seems like yesterday when both Marsh and Lillee were in full swing (30 years!!!). Thanks Deenifty.
Just got a new GPS and had to try it out. Grabbed another member of the 5 and The rogue. Night caching by a full moon, mist/fog and 6 degrees. I must be crazy! GPS took me straight here and an easy find for Tom. Thanks Deenifty. Was it the Mo or the little gold bat swinging from side to side around Lillee's neck you remember most? With swampy was the Mo again or those tree trunk calves?
A joint silver with Froghoppin!!! Found in a brief break in the rain. Congratulations Deenifty on your first hide!!!
Found It!
...and first!!!!
We haven't had a FTF for a long time!
