Today TaurusSix and I are heading to Perth for things other than geocaching, however we decided to take the South West Highway route so we could collect some geocaches along the way, the one’s north of Pinjarra that we have not yet collected. It is a beautiful sunny day for a drive, the road was very busy so stealth needed at times and also a constant eye out for snakes. It’s nice to create a few more yellow smilies on this stretch of road. As well as pick up a few Adventure Labs and bonus’s.

This is our sixth cache find of the day along the SW Hwy. we continued along the off piste from the last cache . Nice big old tree for gz once there it was a nice quick find as it was on the ground. We replaced it in the most obvious spot. Now to get back onto the Hwy. Thanks for the cache Keego and Chil .

Found it! TFTC

14-Aug-22
When I pulled over I thought the cache was closer to the road and left the phone in the car, initial search turned up nothing so went to grab to see if o was on the right track… nope.
Walked over to the actual GZ and found the cache sitting on the ground in the open.
Have placed it back with a bit of cover to conceal it from the elements.

Thanks Keego_and_Chil for placing SWH...urch for me and others to find.
I added my name to the log at 23:57 on 13/8/2022.
This is find number 5502 for me.

With a unofficial geocaching event in Collie this weekend Meme28 Kapelula and myself hatched a plan to escape the city for the weekend. We started early this morning after staying in collie overnight. Our is aim to find some caches to fill our challenge needs, old caches, high favourite caches and just whatever else takes our fancy. This cache was found in good condition thanks to CO’s for placing these caches for our enjoyment.

Such a nice day that I thought that I would try and knock off some more of the SWH caches and a few others on the way. Most were found quite easily although a few took a little longer. It was so green down here with lots of fat cows and some beautiful wildflowers to look at. Only a couple of DNFs so a good day Tftc

#12692. Day 11 of our WA holiday and our 6th day based in Rockingham. Robmc and I decided to tackle the SWH Series between Jarrahdale and Pinjarra. We managed a nice run of 44 caches before lunch and then the wheels fell off somewhat as we made our way home via Mandurah. So many caches were not viable so we didn't feel like wasting time searching. It was hard to find some caches that were still in play.

Pleased to have an easier find after a DNF at the last one.

Thanks Keego_and_Chil

Day Eleven of our holiday in Western Oz.
Bettyboo3747 and I have spent the morning on the South West Highway between Jarrahdale and Pinjarra, and the afternoon trying to find a cache that still exists on the way back to Rockingham.

We have done several of urch's caches, and this one was a nice easy find after the last DNF.
Thanks, Robmc.

Thank you! I decided to head down to Pinjarra for lunch and head home via the south west highway. Happy to make the find here.

18-Jul-17
It was buried in the middle of what had become a mound of composting wood/ant nest. I assume because it hadn't been found in a while nature and time had decided to try swallow it up. I was sure it was in that spot because of previous logs so kicked around the top of the composting heap and spotted the telltale blue of sistema clips.

I've since placed it a few meters closer to the listed coordinates as I thought that was more appropriate than burying it again.

15-Jul-17
Admittedly I didn't try too hard at this cache because the weather was being particularly unpleasant and I didn't want to get too drenched while expanding the search area as the most recent finder reported. Hopefully when I return next time it won't be nearly as wet and I get to have a good go at finding it!

Hi there Keego_and_Chil.

We found your cache **"SWH...urch"** at 2:27:00 PM today. This cache makes our find count 14878.

Our plan for the day was to complete some of the SWH series, together with a few others that were also close to the highway. We thoroughly enjoyed our drive attempting caches to the left on our way north and picking up the ones we missed on the return trip. We found a variety of container types and sizes hidden along the way, and also managed to pick up a couple of trackables.

Today we found 35 caches & DNF'd 3. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 9m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge if the container was large enough.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

Geocaching has taken me on many adventures over the years all over Australia and overseas. It has also introduced me to a brilliant and diverse group of people, many of whom are now close friends.

Today I was lucky enough to be out and about so I targeted this cache.

Sorry for the late log, but thanks for adding to the adventure!

Thanks Keego_and_Chil for placing this cache.

**this is a late log** I have recently made a major upgrade to my GSAK license and found this lovely feature that automatically tells me what caches I have marked found in GSAK but never logged on geocaching.com!! Yay, Clyde, you can have my money anytime! The caches I am logging in this batch were ones I found during WA Goes Big 2016. In an interest to get completely caught up, I am logging my past finds in bulk. I still have work to do after this, as I need to locate my notes from all of my earthcaches, but once those are in, I should be very close to current. I appreciate all the effort you go through to create and place your hides and do not for one second take it for granted, I just need to get caught up so I can return to my once pleasant logs. Cheers!

The WA Goes Big 2016 event provided the perfect excuse for me to pack up the wife and travel across to get some caches in WA. I have previously cached WA in 2008 (Perth to Geraldton and back) and 2011 (Kunninara) so it was great to head south from Perth this time.
This series was close to where we stayed during the WA goes big event at Pinjarra.
It was great to have such a great range of quality caches close to the event. TFTC.

Find #7600**

Day fifteen of my across the Nullarbor, then to Perth via Denmark trip. After attending the WAGB2016 event, I headed out with Alansee and Mica Paramedic to go and find some local caches.

This one was fun, on approach there were some rather suspicious people hanging about. It turns out they had been there for 15 or 20 minutes. A very short time later, mica paramedic had the very well hidden cache in hand.

**Thanks to Keego_and_Chil for the cache. TNLN**

Took a drive out to do some more of the SWH series. It was a warm day, but perfect for car hopping along the highway. On my way back home. This one had me stumped for a few minutes. Found after reading logs and further searching, my gps was out 4 metres - but mine is usually out a few metres anyway. TFTC Keego and chil:)

Drove up to the West OZ Geocaching Meeting in Gosnells and decided to leave early and find a few caches along the way. Unfortunately it started raining heavily with a thunderstorm arriving quickly. Had a few hours spare this morning so decided to hit the highway and grab a few SWH caches and a couple of Mundijong caches needed to qualify for a challenge cache. Lots of trucks on the road today so it was good that there were good pull offs for each cache.

This one took a long time as my GPSr had me about 10m from where I eventually found the cache. Ended up with GPSr and iPhone trying to locate the cache without any advantage from either. Resorted to walking around and poking in any likely location until I found the cache.

Thanks for the cache Keego_and_Chil [^] - cache was good and dry.

This was cache # 3 of 10 Smile and 2 Sad today for a total cache count of 2883.

Did this one start life in a nasty, soggy, rotting spot or is it the victim of cach creep? Oh well we found it anyway. TFTC

24-Jul-15
One word for this area - Ugh! Not a pleasant place to put a cache that is supposed to be a tribute to another cacher. Maybe it has been moved from the original placement. So glad that Clan-Wallace found it, my coordinates were taking me to a nicer place.

we borrowed a friends car and set out early to attack some more of this series. had a good day retreating home with 48 finds for the day. so mikirst and myself were very happy with that outcome . tftc
