Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. After being in this beautiful State for nigh on three months it is time for us to head back home. Staying in Port Wakefield for two nights to grab caches in outlying areas. Up bright and early this morning to tackle some caches in the surrounds. Thanks for the cache.
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. After 3 months on the geotrail, we're heading west towards home, picking up smilies.TFTC, we love the heritage sites.TNCU

Headed off from Wool Bay to spend a couple of days camping out in the mallee near Blanchetown. Took a relatively direct route there and a very circuitous route back to find a good number of caches along the way, and to clear up another small area on the map! Thanks for the cache Tk2!
Day 183 (Friday 28th) of our trip. Caching along the way. In Owen today. A total of 23 for the day and 3617 for the trip. TFTC.
A rare day off for us during grain harvest. So we headed off to find a few caches. A lovely drive through rural areas surveying the crops, kangaroos and vistas.

Yet another Wednesday wander for members of the puzzled puzzlers group. [8)] Today's members are myself, Blackadders and S.A. Sewer Rats. [^] Surprise, surprise - we were one again heading north towards Clare. Shock Horror - we would one be taking a few detours on the way to collect caches. Would we actually make it to Clare today before lunch for a change!
Such a shame that no more could be gleaned about this school. The cache was a quick find with the nearby paddock being seeded by the farmer after the recent rains.
**Thanks Tk2 for this cache. **

Today we tackled the 2 OTD series and many other caches in the area with Roostaman. Enjoying the views and the changing country side, especially the vibrant colours of the crops that just went on and on, especially with the green backdrop of other paddocks. This was a highlight of this area making it a picturesque landscape. Most were easy finds at GZ, some a bit of a search, but a great day out.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this series for our enjoyment.

A fine Spring day for the 2 OTD series and nearby caches with Tassie Trekkers.
Not many muggles around today, and mostly good quick finds.
Lots of bright healthy crops and scenic views along the way too.
Thanks for the cache Tk2,

Firesafe asked yesterday if I wanted to accompany him while he did maintenance on the APM series after the Pinery fire.
Get out of the house, be driving dirt roads, catch up with firesafe and all on day that was expected to be good weather.....of course I said no.......Umm, yes
After replacing many of the series we wandered around the dirt roads and hills of the lower northern rural area enjoying the sunshine
By the time we got back to Harry, parked at Krispy Kreme at Bolivar, about 5pm I had found 10 caches
A very quick find at another historic site that has added to my education

Oh boy, it would have been a warm place to teach or be a pupil in those days. Check out the name of the farm where the school was located. Thanks again Tk2 for the cache.
A day fo mid north caching with Freddo.
An early start and a late finish meant we got a "few".
Another school. I'll be well educated by the end of the day.

Warning this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise.

Glorious weather made this caching excursion in the Clare Valley most pleasant. In conjunction with The Drovers we travelled the highways and byways finding caches. Nice one, enjoyed finding this cache. Thanks to Tk2.
A cache found by Bill while I stayed home for a nap.
He found the cache in the open but replaced it as per the hint.

Couldn't find anything with much relevance on Google either [B)].
We suspect it was just another little school that died as transport improved [:o)].
TNLNSL. The log was damp, so put it in a ziplock bag with a silica pillow.
Thanks Tk2.

The only history I've found is that the Wakefield School (in the Hundred of Dalkey, south of the river), was closed in 1897 and moved to the other side of the river considerably further east, which then became known as the Upper Wakefield School.
