No luck on this one either, gave up fairly quickly due to dnf's logged.

23-Jun-13
Saw all the DNF logs but had quick look anyway.. Sadly no luck for us either. Maybe be worth checking out to see if it's gone missing..

Even with all the hints dropped by alligatorsnz, we were still unable to locate. The obvious spot was empty which leads us to believe it's been muggled.

20-Apr-13
Couldn't find anything today, must have been too early for me

11-Mar-13
This one had us stumped for awhile, Mr Alligatorsnz about to give up after checking various hiding spots. I just had an ah-ha moment after spotting something that just cried out "cache hide". Made Mr retrieve it from a lower position (cause that's why I brought him along for, the dirty work lol). Great hide, that puts another smiley on the map Smile TFTC

My coords settled between 2 natural objects so I searched both without a find. A group of muggles were walking along the path so I sat down and waited for them to pass. However, once seated I spotted a likely hide and once the group passed, it took less than 10 seconds to retrieve the cache. I just proves that sometime muggles can be helpful. TFTC

I found the original one nearly a year ago and didn't realise that it had been archived. So I was little surprised that this turned up as an unfound cache while on the peninsula today. Regardless I decided to find it, what I thought was again. However after checking the log book for my name, I was a little perplexed. It wasn't until I got home and checked by logs did I discover that this was a new cache. So all good, and nice to be able to log another cache. TFTC!

Spent the morning busy as, but then had about 2 hours to kill before the gym, so decided to wipe out as much of Te Atatu Peninsula as I could that was still on my unfound list. Well, what better way to spend an arvo?! Smile

Started off not being sure where to look as there were just so many places... So I just searched them all!! Razz Haha, and eventually I spotted a spot that was just too obvious. So I checked that one... YAAAAY!! Cache for me toooooo! Smile Hehe.

TFTC!! Smile

A hot day to be out and about, but not complaining (heat preferred to rain). Barely any muggles about so a quick find. TFTC

13:30 Found this one fairly quickly but could not avoid being seen by a muggle who appeared from no-where...He passed by without speaking and I was left to sign the log. TFTC

It is time to visit those unfounds in the Hobsonville to Te Atatu area this morning. This is a favourite part of the Peninsula for cache placement. I have lost count of how many times I have parked in the cul-de-sac. Always pleasant to come here though.

Cheers for the cache.

Spent a sunny afternoon finding a few caches on the Te Atatu Peninsula. Good camo and took a wee while to find. Such a nice walkway with plenty of muggles here today to add to the challenge. TFTC.

Out and about with Team Welsh. Quick and easy find. One of those "first place we looked" finds. Thanks.

Made a surprisingly quick find here as we thought it would take a while. Trout-fly did the honours so it was a great way to end a days caching. Excellent fun and a great cache to do.

15-Sep-12
After missing finding this last time, happy to make a quick find today. Nobody around which made searching easier. TFTC.

Tide was out while we visited so we had a good view of the stranded boats. Good little hide well camoed. The peninsular is cache free for us once again but for how long

Didn't have this loaded on Gps but knew it was here based on an email. Used smartphone to get close and then instinct took over. Glyn's ones are a favourite for little fella, he loves the camo and we were not disappointed. Thanks!

Very cold windy morn for caching, but came with the goods anyway. Great camo job as usual. Another smilie for the Peninsula.. weve nearly got it covered.

Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.

We were sitting in our nice warm house when the phone buzzed, revealing a new cache placement in our Te Atatu Peninsula backyard. The rain had seemed to ease off, so the decision was made to jump in the car and attempt the FTF for this cache.

We arrived at GZ and having found the previous CaaaaaaachE!!!! we immediately hunted in the same location, but without success. FMZ soon arrived on the scene and joined in the search, shortly followed by ishoot and his assistant.

With none of us having any luck finding the cache, a rather unpleasant shower arrived leaving us huddling for shelter under trees and umbrellas. The conditions got too unpleasant for one member of Phasevisitor and she went back to the warmth and shelter of the car, while I stuck it out with FMZ and ishoot.

The rain eased and the lengthy search continued, with ishoot eventually making the find!! The log was signed and we headed back home for a warm shower!

So a joint FTF with FMZ and ishoot - it was really nice to meet them both finally!!

Thanks for the cache!!

Was sitting at home when a new cache popped up in Balmoral... Considered it briefly, but then this cache notification came through, a bit closer to home - too tempting to leave it, despite having been listening to the rain earlier. Arrived to phasevisitor already searching - nice to meet you both - and then ishoot+junior arrived a short while later. Got pretty wet when a nasty squall came through, and the rain was almost going sideways for a bit. ishoot eventually came up with the goods - I knew there was a reason why we let him join in... Wink A nice hide in the end. Joint FTF with ishoot and phasevisitor - FTF #1219 Big Grin TFTC!!! Big Grin

Just sat down to watch a bit of telly while the dinner dishes were soaking....checked my email and oh no it's a cache close to home, the telly can wait and so can the dishes....although I was a bit behind in leaving home, I thought I might get to catch up with some of the usual FTFers.

My able assistant Stellarstarz was keen for a nighttime adventure, so we headed off (should I take a rain coat? Na I will be fine...) arrived to see a swarm of torches dancing around some trees a little way down the path...looks like I will have a bit of company with this one. We caught up with FMZ and a Te Tatu local Phasevisitor (nice to meet you both) just before the rain came down, so we each chose our spots around the trees and waited out for the heavy shower to pass...I gave my able assistant my phone and umbrella.

Once the rain stopped it was back to the hunt, after a bit of poking and prodding I finally came up with the goods!!! A joint FTF with the soggy crew. I had to get FMZ to fill out the log as I was too wet to write...

Got home and finished the dishes...the water was still hot Smile then back to the Olympics...

Thanks for another adventure Glynn! I had another joint FTF at this spot on your last cache a couple of years ago Smile
