I solved this puzzle ages ago, and we were in the area doing another Cache and decided to pick this one up. It was a little bit of a search to find it, but happy to be able to sign the log. Then I realised there is quite a bit of unloved, so I was extra happy to have found GZ.
This puzzle was sorted out before this trip , so all I had to do was drive down a track to gz. There was water in the basin today, but I wouldn't swim in it as there was blue green algae present .
On the way to the cache my intrepid partner calls out, "watch out for the scorpions".
Scorpions where? He put my hopes up for naught, because there were no scorpions guarding the cache today.
Thanks FUF009 .
When dalerious and I were planning this Christmas getaway we were trying to pick a place that still had some quality caches for him to find and fulfil my insatiable desire to get that little bit closer to his stat's so we would be on par for the various challenge caches we have signed, and yet to sign .
St Arnaud and surrounds was picked to fill in all those gaps, and more.

We spent a about 10 days on the road with aqau caching around St Arnaud, Ballarat and Daylesford areas.

One of my favourite FUF009 puzzles, having used this logic in previous puzzles, just a matter of making the connection and making the solve...found on our 1st day in St Arnaud for a long weekend of caching, avoiding the dog muggles to find a great hide at GZ, TFTC FUF009, FP awarded !!!
After a slow morning at camp a group of us set off into St Arnaud for a coffee and a few caches. With RubyTuesday3 now hooked on caching it was great for OzHockeyChick and I to finally get to cache with her, along with a muggle observer.
Having solved this cache we stopped by to grab it as we set off to return back to camp. A cool hide at GZ.
Thanks FUF009 for the cache and for contributing to the game.

With the summer quickly coming to an end, the decision was made to have at least on good caching day, and were else to go than to the fabulous caching fields of St. Arnaud. Many thanks to all once again for these wonderful trails. Oh yeah the wing dings and chips at the roadhouse deserve a mention also.
Argh !!!!!
The first serious disaster of the day. The canine member of the crew decided to drink from the Basin, only to sink waist deep in the blackest and most stinkest mud, oh so much washing needed before she could reenter the Geo-mobile.
After all that, claiming the cache and the puzzle was a joy. Thanks again.

After my usually busy Christmas and Boxing Day I was able to hit the road for a 1 week break which I was looking forward to and I had plans on where I was going to.
Then a couple of muggle friends suggested we head away together and my plans changed for the first time.
So we had a trip planned to NSW and all was going great.
Then our plans were changed with what was happening in NSW so we picked a spot on the map and that was Hopetoun.
The silo art up this way is something that we had been looking at for a while so now we had our trip planned.
Came up through Nullawil and Sea Lake to see those silos then headed west to start the silos that I haven’t done yet and we stayed at Hopetoun for a few days to visit the rest of them.
It was time to head towards home and after stopping in Woomelang for some great art then Birchip, got to Donald in a very roundabout way and finally reaching my destination for the next couple of nights St Arnaud.
Last time I was up here it was for the Mega so it was good to be back up hear to clear out a few more caches.
Now a good story would be that I spent a lot of the lockdown solving a lot of puzzles but with a lot of help I had the final coords for some more.
A nice day dawned after all of the rain that we had last night and I was not sure what the tracks would be like but there was only one way to find out.
I spent the early part of the morning visiting a few parks around town and taking a few pics of some of the art that has been done since I was last here,
Then a few more caches around the track then another garden a few more bush tracks and I finally made it to the basin which has a bit of water during the summer months.
Not sure about the clue but I soon located a great cache.
Thanks for another great day up here in St Arnaud finding your caches.
Thanks FUF009 TFTC

Today was another day caching with ian&penny. The weather was kind and we found everything we looked for. A lot of great caches and another fun day. Had to look twice for this one. TFTC
Took some searching since we were forced to archive this style of hide back home. Thanks for the cache.
I wandered into the Basin today
Need a wash ??
No way
That water is probably filthy [:o]
While wandering around this cache was found
Hooray at last !! [^]
I've been looking for this pesky cache for many years [:o)]
So ....
... what's the Key ??
I dunno !!
I still can't figure out how to solve this puzzle

Day 6 Leaving St Arnaud area B and B to St Arnaud Campground
The idea was to leave the B and B then head to Beckwood Nature Park for the challenge trail there and spend the night camping. It turns out i got " side tracked " and cleared every trail in St Arnuad forest out instead. Plus a good number of stray caches on route. It would have been more but i staked a tyre around dusk. quick find.
Came over to the 2019 mega in St Arnaud with Mogni. We where joined by jj52, Aussie M and M plus others at different times over the mega weekend. Many caches where found over the course of the 8 day trip. Targeting multi's on the way there and back plus the challenge trail in Mount Beckworth reserve. The creative trails around St Arnaud where the highlight of the trip.

A weekend of caching with AlphaDeltaIndigo and Ying-Yang in St Arnaud, along with a heap of other people. We stayed at Wedderburn, and commuted to St Arnaud each day, and what an amazing area this was to cache in! We very much enjoyed our trip to the Northern Grampians Shire! My fifth Victorian Mega (sixth overall) and can't wait to come back next year and do it again!

Day 3 St Arnaud Mega
Today was a much lower numbers day as we had done all the 'mega' trails. So it was about quality over quantity and of course you have to leave some for next time, right?! I still have a few FUF T&C trails to come back for, plus way too many puzzles!
We went back for more coffees and sandwiches from the Dabbling Duck, we did like their coffee! Fueled up in town for the journey back home too.
So JJ52 and I did a few randoms and then headed into the forest to do the O&A series which was great! We had also planned on doing the TLT series but just not enough time.
Then back into town for a few more random caches, several of which JJ52 had found on a foray with other cachers earlier in the week. Then it was off to the GIFF and then the big long drive back to Adelaide. Luckily the company was good and LiB and I chatted all the way back to Murray Bridge, it was a much 'safer' drive than the one over!!!
All up it has been a most excellent weekend and I am extremely grateful to all the cachers who placed hides for us to find and the awesome Mega committee for putting on such a great 'show', brilliant.
I'll be honest this isn't a solve by me but JJ52 had the coordinates for this one so we stopped off to make the find at a very scenic spot. TFTC FUF009

A shorter day today as Michells&hound was heading home so we decided to go and get the O&A series in the morning before the GIFF event and picked up a couple of others that we came across. [^]
We had just finished the O&A series and we were passing this one so we stopped to add to the finds for the day. A quickish find of a well hidden cache.
Thanks for the puzzle and cache FUF009.

Our last day in St Arnuad as we head out in the morning to melb to fly back to Tassie, so it was grab a few of the local caches we had overlooked and a couple of series's we had heard good things about.
This was the Mega trip that started out as a simple trip to St Arnaud for just the Mega and turned into a mega road trip starting with myself and GooseandEgg flying into Adelaide to collect a rental 4WD so we could drive an indirect route to St Arnaud and then on to Melbourne so we could fly home again.
The Goose had put a lot of planning into the trip so we could both complete or get close to completing our D/T grids, collect a number of good interesting caches and cache types we didn't have many off.
For me this was the best organised Mega I have been to, the stand out was how the committee had managed to get the whole St Arnaud community to welcome us all to the area, just about everyone we meet knew what we were there for and I had no awkward moments explaining what Geocaching was.

Sunday was our last full day so before meeting Tassie Trekkers to do the fantastic TLT series we popped out and collected a few puzzles, traditional and wherigos but not before we picked up a coffee!
It was quiet out on the streets around town but we did meet up with a few others as we went further out of town.
Thanks FUF009
Apologies to gmj3191 and Pamj for forcing them to start their time over near here
When planning the St Arnaud mega trip I was keen to incorporate some missing D/T’s from my grid. Stainless steel rat suggested flying to Adelaide ‘on the way’ and driving across so a route was planned and a fun week of caching began. I cherry picked in my planning so as not to run out of time for the ones I wanted, and we added a few on the day if there was time. We met up with various teams along the way including a planned rendezvous with Tassie Trekkers in Kaniva for a fun days caching. I ended up with around five hundred finds (including labs) for the week, and still had plenty of time for socializing along the way. It was great to catch up with some old friends and of course make new ones.
Special thanks to the St Arnaud mega committee for a great weekend.

This weekend was the St. Arnaud Mega event and I was looking forward to hitting the road for a few days doing some flat out caching, visiting many new and amazing places and catching up with lots of caching friends. The event was a great success and heaps of fun. The caches provided by the local cachers were, in many cases, absolutely mind blowing (FUF009 caches most notably). All in all it was a great weekend, very warm weather and lots of caches found.

A short drive from the last to this one, and after a successful find, we tried for a jetski of another we suspected might be nearby... no luck there, but TFTC anyway!
Found It!
A nice little puzzle that I solved last week before coming to St Arnaud. Then a quick find at GZ today on a well built cache!

Post Mega blues are setting in (It was two caches ago!) but finding a few more caches will make everything better. Once we made quick work of this one, we even tried jet skiing another one in the area - but no luck there. Thanks for the interesting puzzle and hide.
Today was day 2 of the 2019 Bromance St Arnaud FIFO adventure with the plan to head from Melbourne to Stawell then onto the St Arnaud Mega, before returning to Ballarat for the night.
Along the way we targeted virtual caches, oldies for our jasmer, some rarer DT's and other interesting caches with lots of favourite points.
One final puzzle for the day before we headed for Ballarat for some birthday celebrations.
Many thanks FUF009

After visiting the night caches on this side of town we turned our attention to the trads in the area.
This was a clever hide we signed as we made our way to the basin where we camped the night
Thanks for the hunt and the puzzle

The Bromance (seffnjarah, Crookedpete and Swellerfungus) conducted a successful fly-in-fly-out mission from Brisbane to Melbourne for last year's mega event at Parkville, and decided to return again this year for the The Bromance Mega FIFO Adventure 2019. With the addition of Dez of JezNDez as the all new-and-improved Bromance, and sayWOT? joining us as caching 457 visa holder, the expanded team flew in for 3 days of caching around Melbourne and regional Victoria, with a visit to the St Arnaud Mega thrown in.
After a better night's sleep than the first night in town, the team departed again, refreshed and raring to go at 5.30am. Caffeinated and feed at an early morning cafe on the outskirts of Melbourne, we headed off on our meandering journey towards the St Arnaud mega event.
This was one of the many puzzles around town that I had managed to solve but only one of the few that we were able to collect due to time limitations. TFTC

Met up with some mates for the mega to make a bee line for a number of caches. Can’t take the credit for solving this one but helped make the find with the team. Have since gone back and worked out the puzzle. Wish I had more favourites to give but better save them for all the O&A and TLT caches i need to log! TFTC
Cache find #999. Very satisfying to solve this puzzle.
After cutting 5 laps of town I found myself a short walk from this cache. Beautiful location, saw a nice big roo, and cache found without any dramas. Signed log and replaced as found. TFTC!
There was a bloke fishing in the water here today, no doubt he would have been wondering why so many cars were cruising around here haha.

After finishing a nearby wherigo we realized we were close to this GZ too.
The generous hint to help solve he puzzle is appreciated.
A little bit of circling and finally we got to the container. A great construction, and a taste of what is on offer in the St Arnaud area (I've only found 2 or caches in this town so far).
Thanks FUF009.

Highlights of the Mega were attending all the weekend's social events, finding all 50 challenge caches in under 1 hour, finding all 40 lab caches, all 6 wherigos, and doing all 7 night caches in one night. No DNFs. Finding 11 cache types in 1 day. And of course making a start on the impressively creative constructions that FUF and TnC have made St Arnaud renowned for over the years.

Found during a trip to St Arnaud to attend the 2019 Victorian Mega event. The weekend was spent primarily with e.gregory1, FeatherWaite, Freddo, and gridge98 as we geocached around the vicinity of St Arnaud. All of the events and CITOs were attended, we completed the available adventure labs and lab caches available at the showgrounds, many of the creative trails were gasped at their construction, and interesting puzzles were solved and collected during the weekend.
We all left on Thursday in two separate cars, and met up at the evening event, before finding a camp spot for the night in a very CITO location. On Friday, we targeted the StARS (St Arnaud Ramble Series) and the higher quality, well-constructed geocaches that were famous here in St Arnaud, and got lucky with the 2019 published series that we managed to snag FTFs on. Sunday had us continuing to find the other sets of high-quality caches around the neighbouring town parks, the challenge series, before spending a few hours at geocaching HQ participating in the labs that had been published. The event was also great to see some of the South Australians honoured with geocaching life awards (in amongst everyone on the list). Our final day, Sunday, had us do a big loop finishing off our geocache collection, driving all the way out to Kooreh and around via Stuart Mill, walking the conservation park at Mount Gowar, and finishing off at the GIFF event. A massive weekend that turned out to be a great mega! Thanks to all those who organised the Mega and the associated events. The variety between the local high-quality caches, the new series placed by the mega team, and those who needed to be around for the labs and main centre fielding questions was appreciated immensely.
Today, after completing the stars geoart, and the *Bush Meander* BM and *Bush Wander* BW series, and then the new *Link Trail* series, we finished the *Out & About* series, and decided to find a few miscellaneous caches as we headed back into town. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache. The logbook was signed as DEFF98 (Davidwazza, e.gregory1, FeatherWaite, Freddo, and gridge98).

FeatherWaite, gridge98 and I left Adelaide on the Thursday, taking a circuitous, but scenic route to St Arnaud to pick up a few caches in some other Victorian LGAs. We met up with Freddo and Davidwazza at the event that evening and teamed up to complete a couple more caches that night together before camping out of town.
Over the next three days we cached very solidly in and around St Arnaud, finding a diverse range of Traditional, Multi, Unknown, Virtual, Letterbox, Wherigo and Earthcaches as well as attending all the events associated with the Mega. We also managed to complete all the Lab caches over the weekend. Logbooks were signed D.E.F.F.98 (Davidwazza, e.gregory1, FeatherWaite, Freddo and gridge98).
On the Sunday afternoon, after the final GIFF event, FeatherWaite and I began making our way back to Adelaide, picking up a couple of caches before camping in the Little Desert NP. The following day we continued towards home with a side visit to Mount Rescue to pick up a few caches along the tracks there.
Thanks to all the cache owners for placing and maintaining the caches. They included a huge variety of containers, hides and puzzles, many of which were very clever and/or amusing and had obviously taken considerable time and effort to construct. Thanks also to all those who organised the Mega and the associated events. I’ll be looking forward to the Mega at Millicent in South Australia next Easter!
Found as part of our trip to the St Arnaud Mega event. On Day 1, e.gregory1, gridge98 and I left Adelaide on the Thursday morning, straight after the Earlybirds event in North Adelaide. We travelled a long and circuitous route via Bordertown, Nhil and Warracknabeal to find caches in 5 additional Victorian LGAs that I had yet to visit (namely Buloke, Loddon, [Greater Bendigo - I’d previously visited], Mt Alexander, Hepburn and Central Goldfields). On Days 2-4 we met up with Freddo and Davidwazza. As a group we systematically completed each of the many series around St Arnaud and found all other caches along the way, signing the logbooks as DEFF98 (Davidwazza, e.gregory1, Freddo, Featherwaite and gridge98), as well as attending the events and completing the Lab caches. After the Mega, e.gregory1 and I headed back to Adelaide camping out in Little Desert NP overnight. On Day 5 we had intended picking up caches around Mundulla and Mount Monster but a last minute change of plans saw us head into Ngarkat CP instead, for a solid drive and a few extra rewarding cache finds. Many thanks to all the cache owners for placing the huge variety of caches around St Arnaud and to all those who organised the Mega and the fantastic weekend away. Thanks for the cache FUF009!

Solved the puzzle and headed here during the mega event to find a wonderful cache. Thanks to FUF009 for bringing us to the area, the scene here is pretty.
Was with the crew, one of us had solved it, arrived at GZ to find a team with the cache in hand.
What a big trip this was! I headed over to St Arnaud for the 2019 Victorian mega with e.gregory1, Davidwazza, Featherwaite and Freddo for the long weekend.
The weekend was filled with a lot of finds ranging in puzzles, a few events and some very well constructed hides around the area.
Day 1: I headed over with e.gregory1 and featherwaite, with the aim to collect some unfound LGAs for the guys, with only a 500km drive to the mega from home we added an extra 450km to the trip by going over to Bendigo and further south exploring some regional towns, overall we added an extra 6 LGAs with only 18 finds for the day. Was great to see some of the interesting little towns and what they had to offer for future visits.
Day 2: As a group we hit the trails in St Arnaud as a group signing the logbooks as DEFF98 (Davidwazza, e.gregory1, Freddo, featherwaite and gridge98) to save a lot of room in the logbook. We started off with the geoart Stars and thought it would take most of the day, as we finished it in 2.5 hours we were a bit surprised so hit the well constructed caches in the south of the town in the bush throwing a CITO in the mix. All the caches were amazing and something you don’t see anywhere else. Adding in 15 FTFs along the way with: everlasting, crank1 and Pwola. The evening settled in and we headed into town for a buffet dinner and a catch up with some familiar faces.
Day 3:
After attending the GV2020 event for the morning we set off to hit the last of the trails left in town of the metal containers, followed by the challenges for the mega as well as quite a few trads around the back roads. We ended the day by having a go at the lab caches at the mega then off to the CITO. I don't think I have ever seen so mant people at a tip before. Topped off the day with an evening event.
Day 4: By today the town was almost cleaned out and only a few caches to find, so we did the last few caches within a rough 15km radius driving around finding the odd cache here and there. The GIFF was finished off the mega so we decided to head to Horsham for the evening.
Day 5: After leaving our camp site for the morning, we cached for the morning around Horsham collecting a few grads and a well earned swim. Then made the long drive back home to Adelaide.
Thanks to all the COs for their cache placements and the Geocaching Victoria crew for organising a fantastic weekend away.

This Cache:
Almost in St. Arnaud, but more puzzles were calling that we drove past as we knew it would be a busy weekend and we would have to keep on caching whenever we could.
Pulled in and made a quick find, little did we know this wouldn't be our last time here!
Thanks

Today:
After finally getting leave approved for the 2019 St Arnaud event, it was time to get underway from Canberra on the Thursday morning, 5am departure!
Myself, DSD and ZQX teamed up for an eventful weekend filled with caching and many km’s including dozens of towns and counties I have never been through before!
We drove all the way from Canberra to St Arnaud today, grabbing a couple caches along the way including a lunch time event in Bendigo, before arriving in time for the dinner event near the mega site. We managed to grab almost every cache type today alone, targeting interesting ones along the way.
Thanks to all the CO’s for today

Left Hobart very early this morning, feeling the effects now! Decided to head to the St Arnaud area to complete the challenge caches and any puzzle caches that we have solved. We didn’t want to do too many long walks as we didn’t want to be too late arriving in Maryborough, visiting Lady membsec’s Mum. The next few days will be divided between quality time with the mother and geocaching!
Been wanting to gather this cache for awhile now but with limited time we have had to pass it by. Today we were determined to find it. Love the hide and nearly fell over it!

I had a whole day spare today so along with finding a few caches I went for a drive and did a couple of missions to find out what sort of transport I should bring here for the Mega next week. Perfect cool cloudy weather today made searching a pleasure and I went to numerous places looking for a few puzzles I had solved and the place was very quiet. Will be a different story next week.
It was nice to find these areas filled with driveable tracks so won't need to bike next week.

**Mystery Cache Find #543**
I went to St Arnaud with SteMicMitSar to make some inroads into the caches here prior to the Mega.
Almost all the caches we found were in interesting places and logical spots, but not obvious to muggles. An abundance of regular size containers, well stocked with swag for junior caches made for a pleasant change from the plethora of micros that dominate the city and suburbs.
Apologies for the generic logs but with over 250 finds for the long weekend, they all tend to blur into one another.

Walked right over the top of this one before coming back for a better look.
Well it’s getting closer to the St.Arnaud Mega Event and as I may not have a lot of time to find caches that weekend I decided an earlier trip was warranted.
A road trip was planned for this weekend with biggles1024 and we headed out to see what we could find, this one was added to the find tally over the weekend.

TFTC. We are in St Arnaud for the 10 months to the Mega event. We are staying in Town for a few days and had plans to do as many caches as we could in the area. St Arnaud has so many quality caches, it is hard to know where to start. This morning in the company of Bushfire we set out to complete the Loop Track, attend the event and then in the afternoon tackle the Bush Meander series. Along the way we would collect the odd couple as we came close. We had a great day 43 caches and no DNF’s. Thanks to nibby8. FUF009 and Tyred n Cranky for the day’s adventures.
This was the last for the day. The puzzle had been solved and we were close to GZ after finishing the Bush Meander series. A great puzzle and a great hide

Had worked on one or two puzzles before heading to St Arnaud for the weekends events and managed to locate this one today while we were passing by. It took a few minutes to spot this hide though, but my co-ord's were good, just needed to look a little closer. Been a while since this one has been found and the hide has been home to some ants at some stage but all good now. Thanks FUF009 for the puzzle and the hide, also for highlighting this beaut area.
With the GP now but a memory, it is time to head home to South Australia. Grabbed the last 2 caches needed for the Victorian LGA Challenge (hooray), then onto the highly favourited caches in the St Arnaud Bush to get some points for the Planetary Challenge. TFTC.

Whilst Muggle Hubby and I were taking photos, dalerious discovered more than the cache, he also found a tiny scorpion guarding it. It was very docile, it just sat there looking at us and smiled for the photo. We carefully signed the log, replaced the cache, and left the scorpion to it's guardian duties.
I had just about a hundred caches to log so please excuse the generic log for a lot of very fine caches that were found and placed by a few different hiders. Still catching up on logging of all the caches that were found last weekend. New day has dawned (Sunday) and more caches to be found in the White Beast and this guy was the next on the list.
Cache was soon located, signed and I took a few moments to take in the area before heading off to the next.
Thanks FUF009 for another good placement.

Up from Melbourne, for a few days on the school holidays for a mini Geocaching holiday / adventure in the St Arnaud area.
Knowing we would be up this way, we have spent the last month slowly solving as many of the puzzles in the area that we could. Luckily, most of the ones I couldn’t solve, Mrs P. could solve. We didn’t manage to solve all in the area, but we may have solved more than we will have time to collect!
A nice spot here, one that we will have to come back and visit another time when we have more time.
This one I solved, but it didn't come out cleanly and so not sure what I did wrong, but I managed to get a workable solution.
Anyways that is the last of your puzzles that we have solved. We didn't get time to have another crack at Talking Turkey after we talked with you - but we will try to solve it for next time we visit St. Arnaud.
We are heading back to Melbourne tomorrow - so would like to thank you for all the entertainment you have provided us with over the last month as we tried to crack all your puzzles. Really appreciate the effort you have made with these puzzles - they were great fun to do (well a couple were nut crackers!) and then come and find. We've also enjoyed your trad series and we will be back to finish them off sometime in future.
We still owe you guys a few faves - we will pay up eventually.
Til next time, plowfive out.

On the way home we visited Bendigo, St Arnaud and many towns in between.
Many thanks to all the cache owners who put out caches for us to find.
A great time was had and we left enough to make another trip worthwhile.

Found on an awesome trip with the SAW STUFF boys (Shonky, Astro[me], Waldron, Southern Cross, Whitedog, Unicycle, Freddo & Four-Fun). The trip had it all including this awesome cache. There were pots and schooners (no pints) , mazzive mozzies the size of small elephants we hitched rides on , realistic lizards, real live [xx(] kangaroos that got too close and uphills. Then there were bikes and pumps. There was sweat and dust but no tears. My thanks to the group and the coordination that enabled an amazing fun filled few days that will go down in caching-lore. [^]
Thanks to FUF009 and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!
We CAME. We CACHED. We SAW STUFF. Eight South Australian caching teams on the prowl in Lake Victoria. We were attacked by vampire mosquitoes. We were attacked by rogue magpies. We were attacked by brown snakes. We were attacked by running kangaroos. We were attacked by publicans and cooks. In the end we got the message and went home, but not before finding lots of hidden cachey things using billions of dollars of satellites and cheap hand-held devices.
Found at 14:49. Just starting to rain

The annual St Arnaud Events weekend again is on again. Today is day one, or day two if you count my half day of work yesterday
I had solved the puzzle a long time ago after pleading with the CO for a hint. Today was the first opportunity to find the cache and managed to spot it from the car.
Thank you, FUF009, for this cache.

Found while in the area for the long weekend. Plenty of muggles around but not at this spot. Sneaky and well hidden. Tftc
I was in the area with brisal5 and Anymules having attended a local event. This morning we were hoping to do the FBT series but first just one more puzzle. A little confusion over end points and start points but a cache in hand in the end.
Thanks
Thanks
Staying at Redbanks with mogni and Anymules. We had come over from SA for the 3 months to the Surf Event and some caching adventures. Although we had a great day yesterday with 55 smilies we hadn't even done either of the two power trails we had heard so much about. Another lunchtime event in St. Arnaud meant we should stay around till then. We decided we would cache our way to it via the FBT series. [^] The weather was doing us no favours with it raining off and on all morning but as always when caching - who cares.
But first up we had one last un-found puzzle in the area - This one. So I pulled up right next to GZ and went to look but Anymules thought is was behind and in the other direction. Some confusion yesterday when I hadn't put corrected coords into GSAK made me doubt my coords and I followed along. Twenty minutes searching in the rain later we gave up. Our first DNF for the weekend. Bugger.
But as we drove off we stopped to check the workings. Hoot I was right and had the correct coordinates in my GPS. Back we went and are then it was a quick find. Thanks FUF009 for another puzzle and great spot to visit for a cache.
