Found this one out in the open and full of water unfortunately, Davidwazza did his best to fix it up. Found whilst doing the deck of cards series. TFTC
Out today on the Tinjella trail for the third time. This time with Freddo, gridge98, and Davidwazza. We all had bikes. The others all found a whole bunch of the Tinjella Trail caches that we had found before but we did manage to find two caches ourselves. So only about 50 less than the others.
But it was a fun day on the bikes.
This was one of the two.
But it was a fun day on the bikes.
This was one of the two.
Today, the objective was to group assault the new *Tinjella Trail* deck of cards power trail with Brad&Janet, Freddo, and gridge98 via mountain bikes. Well, two of our group were fortunate to have e-bikes. The Tinjella Trail took us just over three hours to complete, and then we re-fuelled ourselves at Meadow Bakery. I continued to geocache around the area targeting some oldie caches, a few prior DNFs, and mountain biking the *Are you kidding me?* series. I soon became tired and the sun was setting, so called it a day. A really nice winter day to be riding around.
This was a nice view of the lake nearby. As it turned out, we found this cache in the open near the side of the track, with logbook in its plastic bag alongside the container. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks day-trippers for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance, along with Michells&hound for helping to replace this cache.

I contacted the CO to advise that the cache has been replaced. Seems they have been inactive for a number of years.
Another day on this trail with bikes. Finding caches with SupaTurtle and Csaba!. Sooooo much fun today. Tra La Laaa
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention.
I am temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.
Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 28 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.
If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require.
For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the listing and post a new note every 28 days to keep everyone up to date or the cache will be treated as an abandoned cache and archived without further notice.

Found while hiking with jackbaxter aka rezfa. Cache soaked, no container needs maintenance
Was in the area after the new Tinjella Trail so had a look for this one too.
Found a zip bag which may have been in a container sometime but was now open with the contents being a bit questionable. Probably should have taken it and put it in a bin but added a smudge and replaced as found.
Thanks day-trippers for the smilie

I'd invited myself to share a day caching with clare007 and CPwanderer around the Tinjella Track in Kuitpo Forest to get the new cards series there
Rex came too, of course, and so did the cheap ebike that I had bought last night
So cheap, that while my muggle son[:X] and I had tea at my muggle daughter's[:X] place and I played with my grandkids, my son-in-law[:X] took the tube from my grandson's BMX and placed it onto my ebike's rear wheel so that I could ride the ebike[:X][^]
We were joined by Pikapene and Spence-_-Man and those two men[:X] made my hard day a whole lot easier by pushing my heavy ebike up the steepest of the hills when my dodgy knees just could not pedal fast enough to keep the power on[xx(]
They also shared Rex' lead[:X] so that I could concentrate on pedalling and steering[^] as well as stopping[^] with not quite right brakes[xx(]
Lots of laughter, lots of tales told of caching adventures and all 52 cards were found as we traversed the trail from go to whoa[^][|)][xx(][|)][xx(] A rough Google Earth mapping of the GPSr track log said about 14km[|)][xx(]... give or take 1 or 2km for the off track detours etc
Best part was: I only fell off once and a very nice, fit young man helped pick the bike and I up[^]
After leaving the others at Kuitpo, Rex and I found another 3 caches for the day's total of 55 finds as we made our way to muggle partner's mother's house for tea, tired but exhilarated![^] There was 1 DNF in Kuitpo which everyone else had found apart from me and although Pikapene helped me look[^], we had to rush to catch up to the others so it was only a short look
DNF! Had a quick look but had to DNF due to little time

Walked the Tinjella Trail again today - saw the recent activity on this cache - dropped into GZ but couldnt find the cache or any logs in the hideyhole that we last saw it in. Needs maintenance/replacing.
Stopped at Kuitpo for lunch. Lots of people using the park but plenty of space to keep our distance. Unfortunately only found the stash and not the container. The log is wet and cache needs maintenance. Thanks for bringing us here.
Walked the Tinjella Trail today and was walking past this one (had found it in 2016) and noted the recent DNF. Hunted around for a minute and found it firmly wedged and almost out of sight. Needed a thick stick to dig away at the dirt to free it and eventually extracted it. Replaced but so that it can be extracted easily. Ready for the next finder.
While staying in the beautiful Mount Compass Caravan Park we opted to try for the OTD January series plus any others nearby. We found 32 and had 3 DNF’s.
We were delighted at the condition and maintenance that has obviously gone in to the caches and thank the CO’s very much for that.
We had a chat to a couple of different groups of horseriders on the track but were able to make a muggke free search when we arrived at GZ.
Unfortunately despite an extensvie search on both sides of the track we couldn’t uncover this cache
Thanks anyway day-trippers

21.07.19 tftc was at a party close by so I took the new dog for a walk, think mrs g knew what I was up to
An afternoon walk after work to grab a few caches. GPSr was taking me to wrong side of track but luckily for me it was sitting out in the open so spotted quickly.

Spent a couple of days at Kuitpo with the 4WD club and got in some caching as well. TFTC.
Found with Holly of JARH and Olivia while camping at Tinjella Hut.
Love the dam and will remember it for picnics.
Thanks for the cache day-trippers.

Thanks for the cache day-trippers.
We've driven past this cache far too many times. Today was the day to make the short stroll to find this one and cross it off of the to-do list.
Nice walk, nice location, nice hide.
Thanks day-trippers.

Thanks day-trippers.
Found by The Boofs TFTC . Cache contents were spread all over gz. Retrieved what I could and re-hid the cache.
A quick find in a peaceful location next to the dam. Found after a lovely hike with the dogs through the forest on a cool morning. Signed log
found it with jacknor, out and about looking for a new cache location for a big box ( bella box 3 ) its going in kuipto somewhere.
sir_spectre came over and dragged me out caching the kuitpo forest area, short walk to gz
A quick detour over to this one after doing the You've Got To Be Kidding trail before heading up to the Kookaburra. TFTC.
Out and about doing a power trail and a few others, nice walk into GZ and the dam had a few birds resting in it, cache is in good condition.
TFTC guys and a great walk

The Geo Daughters 1pinkexplorer and 1funnyhoney had 2 pupil free days. We thought it would be good to go off camping. What better than to go camping where there are lots of caches to find. Had a great time camping at Chookarloo. Loved finding this cache and a few others near by as it meant that we had to go walking in the forest spending time as a family.
Hevwalker12 came out to meet us on the first day (sunday) as there were some caches she wanted help with and to get while she didn't have Geo mutt with her.
A lovely day for a drive through the forest collecting some caches

Out with Tardis Trio and Frog Hoppin' on a much too chilly wet day - but all for a good cause - caching fun!!
This series took longer than we expected - some challenging hides, and a few we had to return to due to us all wearing Mr Tardis Blind goggles from time to time.
But a great lot of caches and well worth the effort.
Thank day-trippers for the find.

Mr Tardis was out caching today with froghoppin and Team Scoobster. While out grabbing caches in the area, we stopped to grab this one.
A nice walk in the late afternoon. We could hear the cockies squaking not far away up high in the trees. Still plenty of water in the dam despite the last few very dry months.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache day-trippers

Out for a afternoons caching with the tardis and Scoobster teams, although not fathers day all three of us are dads and we needed the exercise just to keep warm on this chilly day, quick find TFTC day-trippers
Finally logging some older finds!
Decided since it was a nice day I would take my 4x4 out for a bit of a drive, explore some dirt roads through here, didn't go on any tracks in the area though but was nice for a good stretch of the legs walking through the forests. Managed to get here easy enough... Plus a bit past it before realising haha.

Out today for some exercise and fresh air, some light rain but nothing to stop me having a caching adventure.
Nice walk while camping in the forest. Went cross country - wish he had stuck to the trails. What a beautiful spot for a picnic. Found the cache eventually. Come across an army reserve training drill. Nothing like a group "Whoo Raa!" close by at 23-30hrs to scare the life out of you when you are camping.

A big caching day out through then Southern Vales and Kuitpo Forest with Debandy, the Geo son and his Muggle mate. A Bradman strike rate on caches found with only one unobtainable due to a group of Muggles camping on top of it.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
A day out caching with Cows With Guns to round up a few more smiley faces.

Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia.
Woke early this morning on our moving day and a few stops for chores enroute.
With all the chores completed, it was 'express' to our campsite at Kuitpo!
On arrival we set up camp and had to head out to pay the rangers for our campsite and of course make a find of a smilie to continue our geostreak.
There has been quite a bit of rain in this area in the last week, but thankfully all dry here today.
Managed to grab 3 smilies and some firewood too! Surprised how far apart the finds are on the caches in this area. Lovely Forest area.

Parked a couple of kilometres away from the cache so we could get a walk in as well as a find. Gave way to horse riders on the journey. Quick find at GZ and covered the container a bit better than we found it. TNLNSl, thanks for the cache day-trippers.
Out for the day trying out new geo vehicle thought we would grab some caches on our way.

There may have been a state election today, but we elected to geocache [:o)]!
Obviously we never knew this was here, just over the hill, but that's why we geocache [^] - can't fight the addiction.
A nice spot. TNLNSL.
Thanks for showing us this place Day-trippers. Our last for the day (I suppose we should go off and vote now, before it's too late).

Had a day off work today and what better way to spend it than getting a few caches around Kuitpo on a day just perfect for caching.
Parked the car and headed off to GZ. GPSr had me going one way then the other, so looked in some obvious spots then found the cache in the last place I looked.
Thanks for the cache and for bringing me here day-trippers.

I'd like to say this was a quick find but it wasn't until I turned the other cheek that I spotted the cache.

Never knew this was here, we are getting a real geography lesson everytime we go caching. As usual with the GPS - 60mtre straight ahead, no now 15mtre no we have gone too far then ahh success. A hot one out here today but the ducks were making the most of it on the dam. Thanks for another great find. Tftc
Aquick morning of caching with Astro and White Dog Gang to clean up the Animal Facts series.
It was a damp morning and a bit of drizzle didn't dampen our spitrits.
Enjoyed the walk around the forest despite the conditions. I chose the wrong footwear today but once my shoes were soaked it didn't get any worse.

Had a nice walk on this beautiful day to GZ. No roos but did see some roo poo. Found the cache in good condition. TFTC day-trippers
It was 38 in the shade when we did this. Nice walk to the cache, felt longer and steeper than it was because of the heat. Loved the spot where this cache is and saw a mandatory roo on the way. TFTC.
A pleasant wander into this one with AussieM&M and brisal5. Thanks day-trippers for the hide!!!
Left home before dawn with CPWanderer and Aussie M&M. Managed the Forty Winks trail and some others going to and from the trail and back home for lunch! My last for the day. Starting to getting hot so the small walk took a bit out of us. Specially the steep bit. Thanks day-trippers.
Walked from the gate as it was locked
Love the container & the spot.
Cheers, day-trippers.

Lovely stroll this morning. Boxing Day is the perfect day for finding boxes under bushes. I did not think that the dam would be there. Thanks for the fun.
This one always seemed to be in the opposite direction when caching out this way!
Not today. Heading to Mad Mile to fill the last day on my daily grid and it bobbed up on gpsr, ironically on Christmas Hill Rd on Christmas day and I a 3 time Dad too!
Nice spot.
