Well after theft time to rethink.

A small hint, where a cache is disabled there isn't a lot of point asking "Is it even there?"

The answer is no, hence disabling.

04-Jan-17
Has definitely gone and according to the grapevine is in the possession of a disgruntled ex-student. Will try once more with this

DNF at 8:33 AM.
Another one that was supposed to be replaced, but could not find anything. That is 3 caches that we have not been able to find after the CO has said that they were replaced.
We contacted a previous finder for some information and even then there was nothing to be seen! Maybe it is a different hide now?

15-Dec-16
Up and at 'em

28-Nov-16
This is now replaced and ready to find

15-Mar-16
Not quite sure how this was removed from its mountings (two very large pieces of iron which took a sledge hammer to install) but someone has done it.

Unreal.

Disabling until I can make a new mount.

Found in the company of Glanville Girls while spending a day in St Arnaud to attend an event and complete the new series of caches on the outskirts of town

12-Mar-16
Found while jtnsilo looked on since she'd found it earlier in the day. Around 4.20pm Saturday there was nobody around except us, so searching was easy. It wasn't long before I found the container and had it open and signed. Very sneaky since it blended in well with its surroundings. Thanks for the cache strange quark1!

12-Mar-16
After doing the Fire Break trail and coming back into town, hanging out for a coffee and some shade, I wandered around town finding a few close by, the market was on but not too much foot traffic as I pondered where this cache would be. Haa,, gotcha! took a few twists and turns before I was signing the log sheet though.. popped it back for the next unsuspecting cacher to stumble over.. later in the afternoon we called by again with claybol as he was keen to reach a goal for the day,, I sat back and watched as he poked around in all the wrong places . There was nobody around except us, so the searching was easy. Then suddenly the container was spotted and he had it open heaps faster than I;d managed and signed. A clever and Very sneaky hide, blending in well with its surroundings. Thanks for the cache and the fun, strange quark1!

26-Dec-15
We found this cache today at 2:15pm as 16 of 37 on our Sunraysia Highway Shuttle. After buying lunch in town from the only open store, we walked around from where we had sat to eat to find this one. Thanks from D, HA, H & A B-A.

Finally catching up on some logs... We had a massive and awesome weekend. Thanks so much to FUF009 and Tyred n Cranky for the awesome events and to all of the St Arnaud geocachers for the fantastic collection of caches here.
A great weekend was had finding caches with becca85, neisha07 & GemmaSistema. Thanks!

17-Oct-15
After the Lunchtime local event, I headed out with becca85, GemmaSistema & boo09 to rack up some smilies in town. Lots of fun had with some fantastic caches around town. We will be back sometime to finish off some more. TFTC! (Apologies for generic logs)

17-Oct-15
Found this one in a group assault with a gaggle of kids and other geocachers. This made stealth impossible but then again who looks at a group of parents and kids doing crazy stuff..... anyway after a few minutes of the kids not turning up anything I poked my head in and saw something for what it was. Added all our names to the log and we were on our way. A nice creative hide. Well done Strange Quark1 +1 fav points to you sir!

3x Events in St Arnaud held by Geo-Friends meant a weekend Road trip! (From 1 hour away. Haha)
After attending the Event nearby we grabbed this one with some other cachers. Clever little hide! TFTC strange quark1

17-Oct-15
Making a start on this series, which was only a short walk from the Lunch Event. No muggles around on Saturday afternoon and after a bit of a search Mr Harrowang came up with the goods. SL at 1.30pm #3099 TFTC strange quark1

17-Oct-15
A quick pick up here after lunch with a few other teams (aka any with kids) before we headed off to the park so the kids could have a quick play. Nicely constructed cache here. Thanks Smile

14-Sep-15
Monday night dancing classes bring me to St Arnaud each week and I normally catch up with a few girls and then go for a walk or do some work in the car, exciting life that I lead.

Well today the girls cancelled! What no get together. What shall I do, work I don't think so not for 2 hours. Didn't bring the right shoes for a decent walk/run. Decisions what to do - well I could try find a few micro's and nanos, St Arnaud seems to have a few of them in walking distance of dance hall.

Well as a rule I dislike little caches (micros & nanos) and the girls like them even less but with no kids tonight was the night to give a few a go or we'd never get smiles in the middle of St Arnaud.

So off I set for a stroll around town. Much to my surprise I found this one with little effort. Thanks for helping me fill in sometime.

05-Sep-15
Had a wonderful weekend away with The McLookers, Tomstache, Motndarg, Glanville Girls finding lots of caches and having lots of fun! Was lovely to visit and explore the area…TFTC.

05-Sep-15
Another excellent camo strange quark1. I like the historical information too. Caching this afternoon with The Lookabouts! Motndarg and Glanville Girls.

05-Sep-15
Out and about this afternoon with McLookers, The Lookabout and Motndarg. We were straight on to this one. A nice camo here. Thanks for the hide.

25-Jul-15
Well this has been an ordeal!

All good to rock and roll with this one again

15-May-15
Went to put it out tonight, but deb ball practice. Deb night usually means alcohol being hidden in this vicinity. Will await until after the deb (tomorrow night) to put it back out

18-Apr-15
Due to some recent mugglings of a variety of caches around town I have refrained from putting this one out for a little bit.

This has now been changed to premium and now that school holidays have been run and done this will be going out in the next week or so. Construction is underway! This one has a bit of work involved with it.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

02-Apr-15
Unfortuately we have a person or persons around town who are destroying or stealing caches. This is one of them.

Will reload again and put it out (again).

19-Mar-15
Had a couple attempts at finding this one. The building and fence were sending gps into a flat spin
I wasnt giving up and was pleasantly surprised to find this cache. Great work Strange Quark 1, love
your skills, nice hide. a favorite Very Happy

14-Mar-15
We found this one during our camper-van holiday in Australia.

Thank you for the Cache and greetings from Germany.

13-Mar-15
We love the effort Sir Quark has put into the cache locations and the information you give us in the cache notes. It was good to meet up with you at the Pi Day event and be able to put a face to these caches. Congratulations on your FTF at the event. Now back to this cache.
We love to do caches that take you a little out of your comfort zone, be it a hard climb up, or down into the dark depths of tunnels, with those yuky spiders, or a little patience as you fend off the muggle invasion. we did this cache late Friday so we were lucky that they had all headed to their homes or to other places. We did resort to the hint with this cache as the confines of the building and the fence was throwing our GPS off a little. With the hint we headed to the obvious spot and quickly found a very well made cache container. Another favourite for you from us. All is well with the cache. SL TFTC

09-Mar-15
Took a while to search for this one. Reading previous logs helped in finding this one. Clever camouflage. ..I wasn't sure it was it when I found it but soon had the cache in hand. Clever cache. Tftc.

09-Mar-15
Found with emthegem and TeamLauren. Great camouflage, we spent a while looking around before noticing something slightly out of place. Thanks for the cache.

01-Mar-15
All seems to be good again. The cache is repaired so it's being enabled, ready to be found.

03-Feb-15
Still awaiting a couple of parts for the new connection. Should be within the next week or so.

18-Jan-15
The cache is safe and sound. Just suffering from a stuffed connection. I have collected it and will rectify it very soon.

23-Dec-14
Sneaky hide! Decided to go caching after a morning of gold prostecting around the area. TFTC!

20-Dec-14
Found it straight away! No problems! But I am a nano queen!!! Awesome cache!!! TFTC!!!

06-Nov-14
I am well behind on logging caches, attempting to catch up.
Apologies to CO's for not logging specifics about their cache.
We certainly appreciate all the effort cachers go to hide and maintain their caches.

19-Oct-14
What a diabolically fiendish cache, I had my hand on it but passed over it, but not the eagle-eyed observant Muggle Hubby. Great cache, a favourite point for ingenuity

19-Oct-14
Found with 6Hinemoa2 on a caching weekend. Sorry about the short note. She is logging for me.

19-Oct-14
Finally after a couple of months, I have managed to find this! Very clever I must say, never seen one quite like that... TFTC

18-Oct-14
17:17
This is one of the caches we found with Feathertop, after completing the FBT trail caches, and before attending the Evening Meal and Socialising in St. Arnaud Event. No Debs around today, the only event seemed to be the one planned for geocachers. It wasn't too long before this very well designed cache was discovered a new one for us and a favourite point for ingenuity.

Thanks to strange quark1 for the hunt.

18-Oct-14
This was fabulous. From memory your caches always pose a challenge. This was no exception. No muggles around made for a peaceful search at lunchtime today. All I can say is that I am happy I spotted the well camoed container.
Tag along and I commented on the town Hal as we ate our ice creams after a big day out in the field. I have only just made the connection with the name and your sense of cryptics.
TFTC strange quark1

18-Oct-14
I am not surprised that you had to go to Ballarat to get the parts needed. This is a very elaborate construction. Glad to be here late in the day on a quiet Saturday as we would have looked suspicious.
Peter made the find after a few other options were considered.
Thanks Strange quark1

18-Oct-14
Quickly found, good hide Signed and replaced. TFTC.

18-Oct-14
Now I know I have been caching today. I've got half a tree in my hair! Tftc

17-Oct-14
This one has been bugging Chunk for months since he found out that he "missed it by that much" (in true Agent 86 voice) last time. Very happy that it had been replaced for him to have another go and not get beaten this time. So in the depths of the night, after we had done the new nightcache, we snuck into town to make the elusive grab. The police drove past just as we were getting back into our car, but didn't bother to stop and ask what we were up to. Just as well, or they would have been treated to such a long saga about the elusive cache that they would have been sorry they asked Smile Anyway thank you strange_quark_1 for such a devious cache to keep us talking for months.

17-Oct-14
Found with wozzle68.
Great hide.

15-Oct-14

12-Oct-14
Wow, a wee adventure in getting this one back.

It has now been reconstructed, reconstrued, reorganised, reconstituted and consequently re-enabled.

Regards.....

30-Sep-14
Just a quick update.....

This one has been stolen from its hiding spot. Unfortunately, the bits that I need to rebuild this one the way I would like, can't be purchased here in town.

I will be down in Ballarat tomorrow and I will purchase the bits and pieces. Expect a replacement by Saturday (4th of October).

25-Sep-14
Oh those wacky muggles!!!!

Looks like this one has gone AWOL.

Time to build another!

18-Aug-14
Searched for this several times, but all in vain.

12-Aug-14
Not a good run tonight

17-Jun-14
We looked for this one yesterday but no luck. But it had us intrigued so we came back this morning on our way out of town. We searched and searched but again no luck. Had to get going but would love to know what sort of container it was in? Will keep an eye on this one to see if the next person finds it.

01-Jun-14
Found while in St Arnaud with The 2 Wanderers and wozzle68. Waited a while as the market was packing up and there were still people around. Spotted this on our first visit, but didn't think that could be it. Yes, it was! Thanks to wozzle68 for not dismissing it like I did. Rain was getting heavier, so made this one our last for today in St Arnaud. TFTC

01-Jun-14
Found on quite a rainy day while out caching in St Arnaud with Misschief18 and Wozzle68.

30-May-14

16-May-14
Suscoe's 1st find of 57 for today as we left St Arnaud and headed to Bendigo for a bit of rail trailing.
This was a delightful day with perfect weather which hit around 22 degrees and at times some very light rain in the morning.
The trip was great and we enjoyed seeing the green tinge to the surrounding paddocks.
Thanks to strange quark1 for replacing this cache and for enabling it last night.
A nice hide and a favourite for the work.

15-May-14
Log replaced, cache dried and all set to go again

13-May-14
A previous finder has made the observation that the log was wet.

I was returning some (very late) books to the nearby library and I thought I would check on it. Yep, the log very wet.

I'm disabling it for at least overnight while it dries out in front of my toasty fire at home and some temporary repairs are made to try and further waterproof the container.

11-May-14
After a few goes we finally got this one
Paper is damp
Great hide gets a favorite from us for the thought put into it
TFTC

21-Apr-14
Sorry about the late log, this one had us going to and fro trying to get the gps to settle and after reading some logs we honed in on a possible feature. Bingo, nice hide strange quark1, great camo. TFTC, worth a fave.

20-Apr-14
Good hide, didn't get wet. Put in a swap, but nothing in there.

Believe I spotted the caxhe but no way could I retrieve it today with the street market in full swing and muggles EVERYWHERE perhaps next time around

19-Oct-13
I have been consolidating my finds database in GSAK and have located a number of caches that I haven't logged as yet. I guess when you travel with limited net access, it is easy to miss logging a few, or maybe it's just laziness. As always I have enjoyed the hunt and the experience in finding this cache. Thanks strange quark1 for taking the time to research and place this cache.

19-Oct-13
After an enjoyable lunch event we headed out with Team Crackers, Maccamob and Micaparamedic to find some more local caches, many eyes made finding the cache easy.
Thanks strange quark1 for the fantastic cache container,
Regards The Coffee's.

19-Oct-13
After the St Armata lunchtime event we joined forces with maccamob, micaparamedic and the Coffee Clan for a caching afternoon before the next event.

There are many great l doing looking buildings around St Arnaud and this one is certainly no exception but we were really happy that there were no balls here today. After d point for the doing a couple of laps of the great looking building by car we found the correct way to gz and soon began our search and the very well hidden cache was located after a few minutes. We have found a few of this type of hide but are giving his one a favourite point for the slightly different approach.

19-Oct-13
Found by Mary & David, in company with Team Crackers, The Coffees and micaparamedic, at 1535. our group parked at either end and we met in the middle. Found after a shortish search. Loved the camo, too. Our thanks to strange quark1.

19/10/2013 12:22 pm Find #3257
After enjoying a snag or two at the St Arnaud event we decided to walk off a few kilos by doing some of the town caches. This was the first and was only a very short walk from the event. This was a different variation on a theme which recognised and so we logged another one.
Thanks strange quark1 for the cache.

Did this one on our walk back to the car park after the St Arnaud Meet & Greet Lunch. Fortunately no-one around at the time, so could get to this one without arousing suspicions.

Nice little hide, strange quark1, TFTC.
