Searched and searched. Read previous finders logs. Not sure if missing etc.I will be back
Over at Port Pirie for our Anniversary Australia Day long weekend. Today we headed to Clement's Gap to tackle the very favourited Gnome series by The Kelly Gang. Sadly couldn't find this one. There does seem to be a sign missing at GZ. Will keep on watchlist and revisit.
Darwin to Adelaide Road Trip
Day Nine: Port Augusta to Gumeracha
Weather: perfect, but windy
Another cache found on the way back into Port Pirie after a FTF chase to the south. A quick find thanks to the hint - it was well covered. The log book here is quite wet.- the bag is not watertight and I’m afraid that I ran out of spares days ago on this roadtrip. Made my mark as best I could.
Thanks for the hide Tk2.
It’s officially a mega - GCA1DNA “The Great Leap Forward”

Has this one gone or maybe a structure removed or maybe even the co ords need checking as there was nothing to search at GZ
No luck for us here, not even a structure or any object at the given GZ to apply the hint. Either this has gone or the co ords are far off. We did a broad searrch but there was nothing to seacrh of.
TFTC. Quick trip to YP to grab some caches before wooding season starts and we can’t travel !
Happy caching and safe travels!

Happy caching and safe travels!
No luck here today … maybe it hasn’t survived suburbia?

Woke up to a chilly morning - hoping it’s going to warm up though. Another day exploring Port Pirie and surrounds with iluvtrekking. Saw the original with Denzil (sigh) ThanksTk2
Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure. We are enjoying our time travelling SA. Fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on a geo-guided tour.

Finished working in Port Pirie and recovered from a fall in the cemetery (yes, thanks, insert jokes here!) and thought I would grab at least one cache on my way out of town with the van. Like the previous finder I was wondering just HOW does this cache survive. Read previous logs and realised this is a replacement cache and found the new log, just one day after it was inserted. TYFTC SLTNLN
Loved the movie, not sure I seen the original though.
A mint tin behind a fence post in suburbia? How does it last?
I replaced the full logsheet with a logbook

Quick find on a gorgeous summer day while climbing Mt Everest!! TFTC
Found cache battered and crushed with log inside, perhaps due to cement works. Replaced container!

Found on a trip to Crystal Brook and Port Pirie with Team Waldron for a few days. It rained steadily for the morning but gradually eased by mid afternoon. The aim for the weekend was to find as many caches as possible in the area which we accomplished with damp clothes, soggy shoes and a muddy car! The cache was located in its odd spot with the help of a previous finder. Thanks for the cache Tk2!
Quick stop by here today with a previous finder, cache found and is all good
Today I headed out with Locus Cache from lochiel towards port Pirie finding cache on each side of the highway and the back roads and clearing the area as we went. Although the weather was rather warm total of 39 finds for the day.
Thanks for the cache

earthlight wanted a drive to Kadina for some geocaching and to place an adv lab there[^] and I sure wasn't saying no
We had a big day starting about 9am I dropped earthlight back at her home about midnight[|)][xx(][|)]
Believe it or not though, we never got to Kadina Port Wakefield got an adv lab instead[^]
On our way home, we had AMAZING fish and chips for tea in Port Pirie at the 'Church of Fish and Chips' run by Spirou Seafood and Salad[:X][^][:X][:X][^][:X] Delicious![:X][^][:X] You know the old 'Port Wakefield for a hamburger' drive[?] I think it's just become a 'Port Pirie for fish and chips drive'[^][^]
Once earthlight was home, Rex and I went to spend another hour or two at Hunting Ryan[?][^]
My total was 34 cache finds and only 2 DNFs so I was happy[^]
Some awesome sights seen[^], great back roads travelled (some more slippery than others especially after rain showers passed overhead) and Rex had a ball running some roads and chasing vermin out of cemeteries[^]
We saw lots of 'old schools or sites'[^], entered tiny townships and learned lots of history[^]
It was great to be out in the country and finding caches with good company[^] and as always, geocaches showed us things we never would have seen otherwise[^][:X][^]
Thank you to all of the CO's who gave us a reason to be out and about[^][:X][^]

This weekend, I joined gridge98 on a quick overnight trip to Port Pirie. The plan was to geocache around the town, and then head across through to Jamestown via Gladstone and Caltowie in order to find a unique hidden month oldie cache nearby. We then joined the geocaching community at the Gawler dinner event.
Today, we got up early and spent the first half of the day travelling around Port Pirie. A few highlights were the views of the lead smelters, the historic main street, and wetlands. Once a bakery lunch was had, we headed east, and found a few geocaches in Gladstone, Caltowie, and Jamestown. We then left some time to visit Bundaleer Forest Reserve for the 05/2001 hidden cache, as that was my last remaining available South Australian Jasmer grid caches. We then drove the few hours south to the international geocaching dinner Gawler event, before heading home.
We searched around the place, but the knee-high weeds and soursops hampered the search today. The cache may well still be here, but just eluded us. Thanks anyway Tk2 for the cache placement.

out & about with my geo hubby Animal62.
This took a moment as there were muggles coming from both left & right.
This cache needs attention but we managed to sign the log & returned it back to its hiding place.
Definitely a good hide

After a week away on the West Coast including Maralinga, it was time to head home but also grab some caches along the way. TFTC.
Staying at Port for a few days after visiting Alice, Uluru and King's Canyon. Keen to do some local caches.

Hi there Tk2.
We found your cache **"Pelham 123"** at 11:21:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 16048).
Our trek today took us from Gladstone, through Crystal Brook and on to Merriton following the "next closest" route plotted by the GPS. Then it was through Wandeeran and Lauriston before heading back to Gladstone using the same method.. On our trek we found a variety of container types. We ended up finding 11 caches with 2 DNF's.
Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 4m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Found the cache after a short search. The container has seen better days, but Stavros08's new log is in fine shape.
Finally found this one after several unsuccessful attempts. Despite traffic and high growth, managed to locate the container by feel more than sight. The log was pretty much water logged and destroyed. Inserted a temporary log. Tftc
3LG and I are caching our way to Whyalla to catch up with The X-Trailers .
We have several days in Pt Pirie to cache as much as possible.
A quick find and thank you for the history of this area.
It is many years since I have travelled around this area.

It has been a while since we have done some serious caching so we decided to head north with earthlight for a few days and meet up with The X Trailers in Port Augusta as they pass through there on their journey homeward bounds to QLD and cache along the way, we have set up camp in Pirie and plan on grabbing a few of the local caches around the area, a nice quick find for us. great movie TFTC
No luck for us today. Heavily overgrown and with a lot of rubbish at GZ. Plenty of traffic so will search again some other time.
Giving this a favourite as I have finally found it after several attempts and now I will not look anymore. Thanks
I was headed to Port Pirie today for a trip with muggle Dad and we came the back way via dirt roads so that I could pick up some caches.
I had a bit of a look here and there but with a few DNF's I didn't spend too long thinking it might not be there. I only realised later that it was a TK2 and therefore could be there but be hard to find .
Maybe another time.

We hunted around to no avail. No hangers we found. No magnetics. mmmm....not quite sure where to look next. Maybe next time.
Found by Mary & David at 1045. Our first view of that iconic chimney. A good movie too. Our thanks to Tk2.
We were over this side of the Gulf to attend the 100 year since Gallipoli March in Kadina and other things. Spent the afternoon in Pirie and found the time to get a couple caches. A quick find and sign. Thanks for the hide.
KarpyKarpyson and I embarked on a sweep of the Port Pirie region today. 30 caches in total for me. This cache took a few minutes but when I stepped on something, the hiding spot was revealed. TFTC
Monday morning today. We are from Mount Gambier, South Australia. Up this way as we surprised Geodad yesterday for our One Year Anniversary together which is on Thursday but I will be back home for work. Geodad had left early this morning for work so it was a day touring the area caching while waiting for him to finish work. Quick & easy find. This was our 5th find for the day. TFTC
Found It!

The Noodler has taking me out for a day geocaching having fun my first day out.
Found by The Noodler. The clue meant nothing to me as I have not seen West Side Story, but I have seen the taking of Pelham 123. TNLN.
Not many places a cache could hide out here !!
So I tried the subway
TFTC
It is a bit rusty and damp from living where it does.

most were an easy finds, a few were tricky and almost gave up.
had to resort to paf a friend, or couldnt help to much, but then contacted the co, who with some help confirmed that the cache is where he left it, i had doubts because the whole area had been mowed, even over the camio. container had, water in but the log was dry so emptyied it out and put it back in, lid down
