Fortunately, there's been enough people out here to leave a sort of geotrail [8].
Happy to spot the container before we made our way in .

Thanks for another one BBB.

These suck! Finally found it though
After staying in Port Pirie last night, today Davidwazza and I set out to clean up port Pirie before making a long detour via Jamestown to gawler for an evening event. We had a few targets with a 2001 cache near Jamestown to collect and a few others. All up 68 finds for the day.
Thanks for the cache

This weekend, I joined gridge98 on a quick overnight trip to Port Pirie. The plan was to geocache around the town, and then head across through to Jamestown via Gladstone and Caltowie in order to find a unique hidden month oldie cache nearby. We then joined the geocaching community at the Gawler dinner event.
Today, we got up early and spent the first half of the day travelling around Port Pirie. A few highlights were the views of the lead smelters, the historic main street, and wetlands. Once a bakery lunch was had, we headed east, and found a few geocaches in Gladstone, Caltowie, and Jamestown. We then left some time to visit Bundaleer Forest Reserve for the 05/2001 hidden cache, as that was my last remaining available South Australian Jasmer grid caches. We then drove the few hours south to the international geocaching dinner Gawler event, before heading home.
I always know that this series' caches aren't truly evil, as in, they aren't just thrown in the middle with a "good luck" to be found, but they are usually a little more logical. Past logs indicated they could see it, but couldn't access? I found a way in, and continued to look around. We were close to giving up, but I had made all that effort in getting to where I was, and eventually saw it! It took some effort in crouching and maneuvering my arm in through that stabby stuff in order to reach it. Finally, I had it in my arms, where we then signed the log. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. I placed the container back where I found it, and made my way to non-stabby ground. Thankfully, no blood shed today. Thanks Big Bad Bradley aka Tk2 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Picked up geoson from train. Headed randomly North.
Had a loose plan.
Met Mr Froghoppin along the way - plan changed of course!
Short trip turned into an epic journey with caching along the way
Amused by previous logs ( "see...but couldn't reach..." and 27/4 - "way too stabby" to write in log...)
Couldn't pass this by. Signing the actual log of course
Found a new used for maxtrax. Recovery gear is handy.
Cache retrieved and log duly signed to claim the prize
Replaced lovingly... Fav 'cos, well we hate 'em but we love a challenge, and at least they're not mint tins
Found your cache with Sebastbat and Jack. No blood donated here.

Team ICE on a two week geocaching trip in Australia. Our main target was the Red Centre Experience at Alice Springs but of course we did some caching in other places too. We drove from Adelaide to Alice Springs and then back. We saw lots of interesting and beutiful places like opal mines at Coober Pedy, Ayers Rock and Kata Tjuta. Our rental travelled almost 6500km on gravel and tarmac roads. The weather was great, only on last day we got some rain.
All the caches logged as Team Ice, T-ice or Tice with kapeka, laalaa and Hiltsu. We had a great trip!
Today our trip continued from Port Augusta to Port Vincent. On a way we visited beautiful Weeroona Island, spend some time at Port Pirie, visited Moonta's himalayas and found many caches on the way.
Greetings from Finland!
No luck with this one.

Today am caching with 3LG zig zagging our way towards Whyalla to catch up with The X-Trailers.
A great spring day and the company good as well as the many caches we are finding along the way.
Today we headed out from Pt Pirie and I was the lucky one to locate this cache first.
After 3LG rang CO we replaced at correct GZ.

It has been a while since we have done some serious caching so we decided to head north with earthlight for a few days and meet up with The X Trailers in Port Augusta as they pass through there on their journey homeward bounds to QLD and cache along the way, we have set up camp in Pirie and plan on grabbing a few of the local caches around the area, spotted a bearded dragon and not long after that we saw a sleepy lizard, both using the cactus as a home, at least there is a good use for these plants lol. TFTC
After visiting this place yet again, we rang the CO who suggested that we could replace the cache. We forwarded photos to him and he told us the placement was OK
Thanks Tk2

Gz looks like it has collapsed and it covered in dead leaves also had shorts and thongs on so wasnt keen to dive in!
Out for a prickly adventure with some friends to try and pick up some hard to find caches. As always had a great day travelling around with locus cache and Laighside Legends in Harry . Stopped to have a nice lunch along the way and got home after dark .
Much fun and laughs along the way and lots of fun hunting amongst the prickles [^].
We sure had fun finding this one .

Headed out on a BBB Tour to grab some of those pesky caches and grabbed a few extras as well. TFTC.
Out with a great assortment of people today and none of us were pricks.....unlike many of the caches that we found
Laighside Legends, Ismartis, The Kelly Gang, Squash99, firesafe and Knightyme had an assortment of tools and they were all used to assist with the finds.
22 , 1 DNF and 1 event attended
I've seen so many pricks today that this cache is now rolled into a blurry memory of long leaves with thorns and spikes on them.
At least I survived with no blood loss, just a few tiny scratches and now I never have to be here again

Out with a group doing some BBB caches and others.
Having not even gotten out of 2nd gear from the previous cache, we likewise poked prodded, probed into the depths of GZ, finally a prize was found, signed and returned.

Oh Joy !! Oh Joy !!
Me first cache find of the morning, and all I can see is a monster of Aloe sitting by the roadside waiting for me
No need to read the cache notes .... gotta be BBB's work !!
I stopped anyway.
By now you would think I would have acquired a suitable suit of armour to tackle these caches.
Or as other cachers have done .... a machette
Having neither tool at me disposal, all I could do was carefully poke around the edges, without getting poked back.
You really do stand the chance of losing an eye at a BBB cache !! [:o]
But here BBB seems to have taken mercy on us poor caching souls and left the cache in an easy to reach place
It wasn't long before .... "Aloe Aloe, What 'ave we here ??"
A cache of course !! [:o]

Took the kids for an arvo of caching, would have been better
if it wasn't so windy. Just had to synchronize door openings
to stop things blowing out of the car.
TNLN, Has somebody shifted it as we had no trouble with
pricks. Was quite easy to spot and get to.

South Australia 2013 with Sol de Lune. We headed off on 12/4 and arrived home on 28/4. The trip was to visit the SA series so more time could be spent at the Mega itself next year. We did a huge variety of caching around Murray Bridge, the Mid North, Yorke Peninsula and Whyalla Region. Apart from one wet night and two wet days we were able to spend heaps of time caching.
Today we were traveling to Whyalla for the FTF trail. A bit more distance and less caching, but a fun day. Everyone has done a great job of placing a great variety of caches and we had a great day.
Thanks.

Grabbed with Albida on our 2 week caching run from Canberra to, and around, different parts of South Australia including Loxton, Murray Bridge, Tailem Bend, Yorke Peninsula and around to Whyalla before heading home via Broken Hill, Cobar and Parkes. We completed a few power trails and left a couple to do when in the area again for next years Mega event.
Overall a great many different styles and types of caches found. A great time was had caching for 16 days straight as well as camping along the way.
Thanks for adding to the fun with this cache.

Much easier find this time , no prickles, Found on solo bike ride as riding mate , Desertfox 41 is out of action for a while due to operation. Cant wait for his recovery.TNLNSL
I cant believe you thought this was a good place for a cache let alone conforms to the guidelines. After a walk up and down to make sure you really expected us to look THERE..we left.
After giving up on the cache next door, I got this one in about 10 seconds with only one scratch! Back to try the other one again.... TFTC!
Having fun I did, just what I needed at the end of the day, acupuncture but I found the cache without it. Thanks Tk2 for the cache and experience. last cache for the day.
Two caches in ono location - who can say no to attempting both. Double the smileys, double the damage! What a prick-ly cache. TFTC & scratches
Only a quick look with two pairs of eyes. No luck, long way to go so kept heading north.
Out caching with ULP & geograndies I was pleased when eventually logic prevailed & we earnt our smiley face. T BBB THIS WAS LOGGED ON MY PHONE BUT NEVER APPEARED

Looked and Looked then seen a Snake and started to run away. Next time Maybe as long as it is freezing in the middle of winter.
Did not find, sort of quit looking in a hurry when Dazz spotted a snake and came flying past me high stepping heading for the car... Sticks flying I worked out what had happened so gathered our stick and casually (at a quick pace) headed for the car... Stuff it...
Thanks I think..

As we where passing through and the offer of a **FTF** was on offer we thought we would have a try for these two. Being from out of town we can now see why there is perhaps not a big rush at these once we saw what was in front of us. Big Bad Brad is truly into nasty hides. We decided to do Whim first as the list container size was the larger of the two hides. We poked around the edges but found nothing. We where tossing up DNFing bit then decided to have one serious last go and then we saw the cache. We paused as we worked out how to get it out and soon it was in our hands and we signed in first place. The co-ords are accurate and we did not get spiked. TFTC
Having mastered (well found one) of these hides we travelled the short distance to Big Bad Brad Having Fun. We suspected the co-ords would be good and this time where a little more adventurous and soon made the find of the camoed container. We opened the log and confirmed our first to find before re hiding all without getting spiked. TFTC
