Today with COVID-19 requirements still in effect, but fitness still being promoted, jesswrigley and I decided to head to Murray Bridge Hills Trails for some mountain biking in Kinchina Conservation Park. We parked off Old Princes Highway / Tower Road, and so approached the area from the south along the Jailbreak Trail. I had never been to this area mountain biking before, and so my first impressions were it was really soft and sandy, and some areas of really rocky segments. From there, we did part of the Jailhouse Rocks Loop, crossed over Maurice Road, and rode part of the Getaway Car Loop. There were some interesting views of nearby Mobilong Prison, including sounds and announcements that could be heard from our riding around. We then rode the Rocky Gully Link, and from there, we should have started heading back south, but I pushed on to a few target cache types, like the multi-cache. There was also a nearby EarthCache, and those are generally always enjoyable completing together to enjoy the location, and discuss the questions/answers.
We rode a little longer along the Lavendar Federation Trail, before finding a tunnel to go under the railway, and we headed back, joining the Cypress Hill Trail.
The new Cypress Hill Trail (looks like it opened in October 2019) was really fun and some sections quite flowy. We rode that to its easterly end, and then came back under the railway across the stepping stones, going up rocky valley, and then tried to ride the direct route on the Jailbreak Trail back to the car.
A fun and exhausting day out, riding 16 km in total. It was a planned half-day of fitness, before the rain rolled through an hour after finishing up.
Unfortunately, like many others have noted, this cache appears to be missing due to the evidence of a fire that has come through here. This one definitely needs a CO check to confirm if this cache is still here, or otherwise have a replacement cache organised. Thanks anyway HAIR NET.

Got to get batter at reading previous logs before heading out... still no cache. I think it still needa maintenance.
This area has recently had a fire go through. There are fallen burnt trees and bushes everywhere and black dirt. Perhaps the CO could have a look.
TFTC and bringing us to this view point! Cache is in great condition, however the multiple logs make it confusing to know which one to sign.
We were very happy to be able to spend the Adelaide Cup holiday caching in the Monarto area. We really enjoyed walking in the Kinchina Conservation Park and picking up a few caches along the way. A quick find at GZ and the last we found in this area of the park today. TFTC

Mr Tardis was on the way to the nearby CPwanderer event in the Reserve. I met up with clare007 and we grabbed a few caches before the event.

Heading up Jailbreak track to get to CP's other place event I decided I would collect as many of the caches as I could on the way in. Walking in the breeze was nice. As soon as the breeze or I stopped mosquitoes descended and started to feast. Note to self. Renew the insect repellent! Then I could hear some familiar voices up ahead.
Oi, what you two up to then! [:o)] Seems I am not the only one with the same idea. Wow that was an easy find. Apparently you hid it in Clare007's hand. Thanks HAIR NET.. But my next was the one they just did and vice versa, so separate ways we went.

We came in from Victoria to do some more of the Oz Mega caches and when we had become bored with the easy - jump out of the car, grab the container, sign the log and then jump back into the car, we decided to head into town for lunch then with full tummy's decided we would then walk our lunch off.
We headed out to the group of caches in this lovely area. Unfortunately we forgot to grab the water when we left the car and the weather turned quite warm so by the time we returned to the car we were very much in need of liquid. SL TFTC

I enjoyed spending a weekend up in Murray Bridge with my folks Sylken, and after a very fun and successful evening of night caching last night, we were up with the birds again today to grab some more caches on our way to Swan Reach to do La Cueva.
Having learned about the ferocious mosquitoes in the area from last weeks geocaching expedition, this week we came fully armed and prepared before we even attempted our first cache for the day. Beautiful weather, beautiful scenery and some really fun caches = perfect Saturday

After finding Relief from Power Trailitis Mrs y'stassies continued down hill to this cache which was quickly located. As the log was being signed a large kangaroo stopped to see what was happening. There was a great view over Murray Bridge from GZ. Cache and contents were in very good condition.

Today is our last day after two weeks caching and sightseeing around Murray Bridge and the Adelaide Hills. This little patch of caches just spoilt an otherwise pleasent sea of smileys. We could not leave with this splot still intact. Loved the walk through the bush and the views back across the countryside.

Found after my attendance at my first OzMega at Murray Bridge - but still a bit of spare time to do a few more interesting caches like this. Logged from my Garmin GPS phone. SL.TNLN.TFTC.
We are leaving Murray Bridge today, our time at OZ Mega 2014 is almost up. Before what is bound to be another cracking cooked breakfast I decided to attack a few caches.
After knocking over the nearby Jail Breaks, and approaching the time to leave, this was to be my last pre-breakfast cache.
It was soon found and the log signed.

Well the big day has arrived and we can log our attendance at the Oz Mega 2014 Murray Bridge and gain the Mega souvenir on our GC souvenirs page It is also the day when we will be attempting the 8 in 1440 Challenge cache so a variety of caching styles were to be found. We had a very interesting morning caching with Team Robins and Everlasting and then after lunch, teamed up with Gunnie 69 and Kaisho 53 at the Flash Mob Event to be followed with an interesting afternoon of caching. We enjoyed meeting all the various caching teams at the Mega Event and the various associated activities. Thank you for having placed the cache Hair Net [(:)]

South Australian OZ Mega 2014 in Murray Bridge. A Twelve day trip to and from the mega. Plenty of caching along the way and near Murray bridge. A great time with lots of cachers all over the place to make for a very entertaining period.
I joined up with Sol de Lune for the lead up to the Mega and the mega itself. Mega Day 4, and the day to collect 10 cache types. Letterbox, traditional, multi, unknown, event, mega, CITO, Whereigo, lab and Earth cache. Although there is a webcam and virtual in Adelaide we did not take the chance to get 12 today. With a bit of spare time we went on a walk up this hill for three caches. Thanks.

After a long drive and a good nights sleep we headed out and about the Murray Bridge region.
Today It was decided that half of TPS would ride their push bike down the shorter trails in the area, whilst the other half grabbed the straggling caches and also provided motivational speeches over the UHF! After a long day of caching and a good hardy dinner we set off and completed some of the night caches in the area! A good time was had by all on our first day of the OZ Mega!
