2 week holiday in the nt cross caching trip with geoparents who have come from germany for a visit.
Unfortunately 2 weeks go so fast and after having driven down from darwin to alice springs and uluru we have to make our way back to darwin for our flight back to cairns but not without finding a few more caches. ☺tftc sl

Found this one but it was very difficult to retrieve. Had to use a bush tool and a lot of patience to get the prize. Left more accessible for the next cacher. TFTC.
Checked cache for Ozflamehunter today and have replaced lost cache. Sorry for the delay!
Please add me to the list of DNF's. If this cache was in the guard rail, at the very end, then it's gone. The Guard rail has been impacted by something (I'm guessing a car!) and this could have dislodged the cache and the wet season rains have done the rest.
Had a very good look around the area no cache to be found. Maybe the owner or a previous finder might like to check on this one
Hit a Kangaroo and was stranded by this Cache for 5 hours while I waited for my lift and Tow. Looked everywhere, no luck.

On our way from Perth to Darwin we saw many great things and places - many of them thanks to geocaching! We thank the owners for sharing their favorite spots with us by hiding their caches!
Quick grab en route to Nitmiluk/Katherine from Darwin. Signed log: TNGD. TFTC!
On tour from Melbourne to Darwin and beyond using our fantastic game as a self guided tour .

It looks like a big river. We can't imagine how it is here in wet season time.

Heading north towards Darwin, on our 2nd trip around Australia.
A hot afternoon, so we decided to keep travelling rather than sit around in the heat.
Plenty of parking, an easy find.
Thanks for the cache, OzFlameHunter.

WanderingAus wandered by on day 75 of our annual Climatic Refugee trip, finally departing Darwin after nine delightful weeks. Somewhere around Howard Springs TomTom started alerting me to the presence of geocaches beside the highway.
The WanderingMrs has a very low tolerance for stopping early on in our travels, and having already detoured to stop at Sanctuary Lakes near Palmerston to replace GC17WTP Froglet's Big Day Out (by the 'no longer caches' Kerr NT) I settled for predicting as early as possible where the cache would be, having not read any cache descriptions beforehand - Alert was set to 900 metres. Of course during the middle and final stages of each days journey the WanderingMrs also has a very low tolerance for stopping, so we hadn't actually stopped at a cache for three years, except for stops to maintain my own (ONCE).
After morning tea at Coomalie rest area near GC18401 Coomalie Pit Stop, also by Kerr NT, we continued on. We were about 140 CroKs from Malak when the geoPajero trip monitor indicated I had been driving for two hours, so I decided to stop at the next cache to change drivers. After 75 kilometres with no sign of a cache I found a nice area to pull over, and the driver change was completed. Some time later a cache appeared, but it was no longer needed, and we zoomed on by. I was quite surprised when alerted to the presence of this cache when the WanderingMrs said she could pull over before the bridge in a large clear section.
I almost turned down the offer, but reluctantly accepted it. I made an extremely quick and easy GAFF 0 find (by TomTom), and as expected it was a micro - I've been trying to avoid them. What was most disappointing was the tiny log sheet, 20 mm wide when a 120mm wide sheet would fit. The log was already at least 5/8th full from 22 finds, helped by those caring cachers who use 3 lines for their log. A couple of logs ago the cacher had left the bottom line empty on the front side, so I used that, thus not increasing the used proportion.
I don't understand using a small tube when a small Sistema or similar will fit in a guard rail, and using a tiny log sheet when a bigger one will get more interesting logs written escapes me.
My Groundspeak find No 2,934, first find for the '31 days of geocaching', TNLNSL.
*Overall Experience: 1*.

Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks OzFlameHunter for the hunt today.

While this is normally is a bridge too far from home, as we were on our way to Katherine for a couple of days of caching it was not too far at all today.

Enjoyed the views of the ragging river but not so the cattle truck that whizzed past at a great rate of knots leaving a lingering smell..... Phew! Busy on the highway today .... Thanks OFH
Quick DIDO. Retrieved, logged and got back in the car pronto. Heat and flies are enough to drive you crazy today.
