After a few hours of exploring with CornishLassie and The Wonderstuff we stopped for lunch and decided to continue on our own to find a few more before heading home considering we had made the trip up here...
Parked on the side road and made the short walk over. Soon had cache in hand. The lid has gone but the log is still nice and dry anyway.
Thanks for the cache.

Out on a caching adventure with tikitour and riser5 to get 100 geocaches for the hidden creature souvenirs. Logging at T18. TFTC
The cache had been run over by the looks we managed to get it open and sign log but it will need replacing.

Out and about for a spot of cache detection on this changable, weather wise, day. After success at "residential" I left the car parked up on Old Mill Road and made the journey over here on foot. Quickly determined the correct GZ, but missed the hide on the first pass. Got it on the scone though. Unfortunately, as others have noted, the cache is in a sorry state; it has been squashed and is rather rusted. This one needs some CO attention, I would suggest. Anyway, cheers for the cache placement!
We found the cache but were unable to sign the log as the cache is bent and rusted and needs replacing.
The cache container is totally munted. It has been squashed so badly it is impossible to get the log out so needs replacing
Rusted and bent and can’t get the paper out, 30 cm from the pole but we did it! Put it back in its right place but sorry for people to come at least we can say we found it.
Staying in the area over the long weekend we decided to explore some caches. Took a few mins with GPS wandering but got it in the end. Tftc
Bloody hard find with all the muggles driving past. But we got it sorted. TFTC
As I approached, I thought that I might be blocked from GZ by another temporary fence, but then my GPSr needle swung around and brought me safely to GZ. TFTC.
Quickly secured by dad who put his hand right on it. Start of bike ride and we will need to go fast to avoid daylight saving
A long time in the planning but this "once in a lifetime" holiday has finally come to fruition and will see us travelling around as much of New Zealand as we can manage in six weeks. This is not a caching trip, Yvonne doesn't participate but she does tolerate, so I hope to pick up a few here and there. And it's great to get away from the English Winter!
Day 36
Mostly a travel day as we leave Matamata and motor North to Pahia, which took us about 7.5 hours, including stops. Partly as a break from the driving and partly because I'm collecting them, I did manage four large caches along the way.
This was not one of my planned caches but it was so close I just had to give it a quick look and that's all it took.
BaSHful.

1.45pm - Staying in Orewa with my sister, had to go and get a few supplies from the Supermarket so thought I would pick up a cache for one of our challenges to take a bit of pressure off Mr Gap. Very hot here today so as we only needed 1 this was it. SLTFTC

Why did the chicken cross the road? To get the cache, of course!
Thanks for the cache!

Lovely warm late afternoon, great for caching after an early departure from work. Who wants to work when you can cache! That's what I say. Road very busy so I had to wait for cars to pass to return the cache. TFTC.
Todays caching day was supposed to be all about 4WD along Muriwai Beach and grabbing those letterbox hybrid caches along the beach. The weather was favourable, tide timew was good as well and the geomobile full of fuel. Only problem, no company. My intended travellers pulled out one by one leaving me alone and, sniff, sad.
Nothing for it but to call off that mission and come over to Silverdale to grab a few easy caches to push the numbers along. There are absolutely loads here and in a new area that's always a winner. It also means I can park in one place, walk a loop grabbing 4 or 5 or 6 the go and move the car again to tyhe centre of the next cluster. Managed over 30 today which although not massive numbers was a nice gentle trip and back here at a decent time with time to log them and do all the humdrum extras before work again tomorrow.
Moved the car up to nearby and walked another loop of 6 caches.
Easy here after a long wait to cross the busy road

Quick find - GPS lead be a bit far, then readjusted and turned me back to the correct GZ, which put me in the perfect position to find it staring at me! Thanks for yet another cache - all my finds from you have been logically place and in good nick!
Lis's crew - your name was on this log, so this is correct cache you found.

Quick find once we stepped back and worked out where it would be. Once the traffic died down - geocache was soon in hand. Tftc
This has turned out to be a revisit.. here on 19th. 1.16. Noticed I'd already signed this one. I remember it was 12am after doing 100 in a day. Must have been tired. TFTC
Thank you very much SmallMushrooms for clarifying which caches I'd found in this area. Obviously 103 caches for the day had tired my brain out and I'd logged the wrong cache. Glad to get my cache records straight. No doubt I'll be back sometime to collect the other caches in this area, TFTC
I'm a bit confused and can't remember if it was this cache or Silverdale Town Centre - Residential GC42HW7 that we did. This GZ looks more familiar but my notes say residential. this was our 103rd cache for the day so I think being a bit confused at our last cache for the day is acceptable. If the next finder can look for my name in red on the logs and let me know if this was the one I did I'd appreciate it. Thanks for the cache
Took a while as we were searching in the wrong spot. Once that was ruled out we had it in hand quickly. TFTC
Had a power cut early this afternoon and as I can't do my job without power and the rest of the family was going out for driving lesson and shopping I decided to join them and do a spot of caching. Had I stayed at home waiting for the power to come back on I would have been mighty annoyed at wasting this opportunity to go caching as the power didn't come back on until well into the evening. Nice opportunity for some exercise walking around some of Silverdale. This was the last one for the day and just as well it was a fast find because I was due back at the new shopping centre to catch my ride back home. Thought I'd lost a pen at the last cache (but turns out I put it in my other bag) so took out a pencil to sign. Now I can't find the pencil so not sure what happened - maybe left it behind in my haste (really thought I had it with me). Thanks for placing TheWonderStuff. Now have some yellow smiles in Silverdale area (drive past often enough on the way to and from Auckland but had yet to stop), will have to pick up the others another time.
This could have turned into quite the hunt when I saw where the GPS was pointing to for GZ thankfully it zeroed in on one very specific spot and the cache was soon at hand.
Made this way too hard, when the cache was obvious, Cam has got in my head with all the DNF's on his lately -;)
Added new waterproof log
All good

Almost my quickest ever find! On yet another visit to Millwater for a mapping update [for Leaflet map]. Amazing how quickly the area is developing.
Many thx for the cache

[green] At long last, after two weeks of Auckland Mega and the GeoTours North and South, I can get my bike out and go for a ride. Over 30 caches by bike today! Quick, easy, nothing special find here.
After hunting out the nearby large caches I couldn't resist seeking a few smaller ones. Quick find TFTC
Nice quick find in the likely spot as we started to run out of time for the afternoon. TFTC
1.20pm. Just around the corner. Not so easy to park so I walked in the rain. Quick find again.
Thank you. David.

Mrs gm123 dropped me off to make this find while she headed up the hill. Cachers should be sponsored by mints!
Another cache for the day on "KiwifruitsNZ Day of Milestones".
Easy find and quickly moved on to the next one.

Another nice hide - nice because I could find it and replace it without trouble. t4tc
I was out this morning to pick up 18 of the new Silverdale caches that I haven't done as yet. I was lucky for my thirteenth.
Cheers for the cache.
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
We decided to head up to Silverdale on Friday evening to work through the new Silverdale Town Centre series, it was a lovely evening for caching. A nice quick find, thanks for the cache!

Picked where the cache would be from across the road, just had to wait for the dog walkers on near by path to go past. TFTC
GPS over-ran and I was starting to search pieces of bark when I realised it couldn't be right. Soon had it when I dumbed down the search.

8/12/12 In the area on our way back from the South Island so thought we may as well have a look around and grab a few caches tftc
These new caches are popping up as quickly as Silverdale is developing. Very different place from when we first moved into the area over 20 years ago. Oh! how times change. TFTC
Tagged along with rosmar for their daily find, which conveniently was this brand spanking new cache. Must come back sometime soon to find all these new caches in the area, but not tonight, just one more find and then back home. Joint FTF with rosmar, FTF #1279 TFTC!!!
We were attending a meeting when his notification came through so we didn't rush out immediately to find this cache. As it was starting to get late and we still had to find a cache today we decide to make yet another trip to silverdale. As we approached GZ we noticed an obvious hidding spot and the cache was quickly in hand. Joint FTF with FMZ TFTC.
