Logs
Found on our travels around SA. After the previous finder found the cache by accident and left it on a stump, I returned the cache to the posted coordinates by my iPhone.
We found this one after climbing to the top of Mt Finke. Or so we thought.. after scrambling up the steep rocky hillside for half an hour we realised the actual top with trig point was on the next hill top. The views were amazing anyway.
TFTC so we could log our visit to Mt Finke, though we couldn't answer the questions of the nearby Earth Cache.

Found on our outback adventure.
Caching with Beaker and Karlth2021.

Doing Goog's Track over Easter and stopped here for lunch. It was very hot so decided not to climb but ventured off to grab this cache while hubby got the lunch ready!!
Found it during a road trip in South Australia for Christmas break.
On this crazy cold summer (no more than 23°) we took this amazing track Googs track. Few days after our trip the park closed.
We decided to climb the Mt Finke. We started with the track but finished straight up to the summit. At the top the view is amazing. We saw all this dunes we drove over and the next one !
At GZ quick find. We signed the book and put everything back where we found it.
Thanks to bring us there. +1 favourite point

on our drive to mt finke we found the cche andadded 15psi to the tyre as we had split the sidewall. all good to continue
Found during recent visit to area. Thanks Mac & Missus. Cache is in good condition.
Found with our great mates the Clarke Adventurers! Great camping spot, great view!
We are catching up with our logs from our 2019 trip with grumpi68, pest77 and others through the Gawler Ranges, Googs Track and along the Indian Pacific Railway.
This was one found on that trip.
We had a great time with our 4WDs and our houses on wheels. Although for the second part of the trip along Googs Track and the Indian Pacific Railway we left them in Ceduna and had to head back to pick them up before heading for home again.
We also loved our time in the GR Nat Park although the rain did make for interesting driving!
This was one of the finds which helped make the trip even more fun. Although we knew we had to climb all the way up to the top
Thanks very much for the cache Mac & Missus

14.05.19 tftc great lunch spot before searching for the others with brad&janet pest77 DJT65
Last night saw the heavens open up and pour down for a very heavy but brief time. More thunder than anything else. It did leave ice on my tent though when i decamped at 555 am in the morning. Given the current state of the googs track i bounced my way up sand dune after sand dune due to the pot holes to finally get here.
Stopped here to have lunch. Opened tail gate and found that my food box had smashed the floor of the box out and pieced one of my long life milks, 1/2 a litre had drained out. After finally cleaning that up i went and found the cache. quick find.
Day 7
Googs Lake to Kingooya
This trip saw me travel to Maralinga to do the tour of the nuclear test site then up the Googs track, past Lake Gairdner on to Mount Ive Station, then in to the Gawler Rangers and finally hiking up Mount Remarkable before heading home.

Camping and hunkering down out the wind making ready for a walk on the hill tomorrow morning. Mulgas flowering
We made our slow progress up this track. A lot of satisfaction in getting over the top of these seemingly large pits of sand! We reached Mt Finke which is quite impressive and located the cache at 4:15pm safely tucked in. SL and made a swap I can't remember! TFTC Then set up camp in good time before dusk. No rain but a bitterly cokd wind!
Found with e.gregory1 during an awesome trip that saw us traverse Goog's Track, visit some remote and desolate outback towns and tour the Gawler Ranges, camping out at Nalara Rock, Wymbring Rocks, Lake Gairdner and Lake Gilles CP. Made good use of the picnic table for a quick lunch break before our onslaught on Mt Finke. Thanks for the cache Mac & Missus!
Stoped here for some lunch before our climb to Mount Finke.
Thanks Mac & Missus for the cache.

This is about a month out as I realised that I had not logged this one without a phone signal, Found on 26/6/18
Found it while taking an evening walk with a beer after setting up camp. Great spot for a camp - enjoying our drive down the track.
We made it through Googs Track, a couple of kiwis living the dream, Thanks for the caches on the way.
Reached the foot later in the afternoon leaving us in the shadow of the mount, cache was quickly found and in great condition, view of the mount today is fantastic

Hah! Reading through the previous log about this being 'a mountain' and then doing the climb, I can only wonder what folks think of climbing peaks like Mt Zeil or umm... real mountains with a 15kg pack on. And I'm 50 and female. Wusses! Tftc
Found at 1.20pm amongst a sea of wildflowers - very pretty. This hill is a mountain in every sense of the word, a substantial climb to the summit trig point, Be warned, the climb up from this campsite doesn't lead to the trig point, just a smaller summit.
We decided to camp on the southern side at the base of the summit climb.
TNLN
Thanks

Just passing through, so made the detour for these few caches.
They weren't here when I was here last, in Oct 2010 with the Sunny Side Up crew.
Nice spot, great cache and very cool challenge

Nice easy find, took little dog left collectible erasers. Another hot day wussed out on climbing the Mt. will do it next time
Very warm day! Didn't make the climb but will next time. Very disappointed with previous campers effort to keep the camp site tidy and danger free....left fire burning/smouldering with rubbish everywhere. Beautiful area otherwise.
Quick find with Deltaducks & Affy after the winding 7km of track into Mt Finke. Strange to be driving on stone rather than sand. Mt Finke is far more impressive that we had imagined, and not to be climbed on this trip. Set up camp nearby and waited for the storm. Impressive lightning display but no significant rain until 6am the following morning. Time to leave. Tftc
A quick grab while determining a camp site for the night before the rain set in. TFTC
A quick find while we wait for the fire to burn down so we can start cooking tea TFTC
Found on 3rd August with Terry Jay and JellyC55 on trip along Googs Track. It's so long ago I can't remember it but I know we found it.
Walked across from the nearby carpark and Little Red Riding Hood ( aka my GPSr ) took me straight to the cache, so very good coordinates. Soon had log in hand, signed and returned to its hidey hole. TFTC TNLN SL
A new dawn arrived, heralded by a shower of rain at sunrise
I stayed in me tent for a bit longer 'til it had passed by.
What a windy night that was too !!
No not from me eating beans …. the weather was windy [:o]
I'm so glad I have a brand new, four seasons, tent
Me olde one would have shredded itself last night !!
From where I had camped, near the turn-off to Mount Finke I drove the short, but windy track to reach the foot of the mighty monadnock
A short stroll from the carpark had me at GZ in no time, and a better spot for a photo too !!
I looked around and soon saw the shiny prize.
With the logbook signed there was nothing for it, but to take a stroll to the top
Should be a damn good view !!!!!

Found with the fun and company of the Goog's Group on my getting reacquainted with Goog's Track trip. I'd last been to Goog's in 2003 so the revisit was well overdue. Dunes, corrugations, lizards, birds and beautiful country was the reward. Weather was mostly perfect, as were the campfire meals and star bounty at night, every night. GG members included M's Piggy (Babe), Tk2, Disk, Team Waldron, Gum-Ako, FireSafe, honeysucker and Freddo. Thanks for their amazing company under the many clear skies we had

Boxer found this cache whilst travelling with a group of Vietnan veteran mates, on what we called "Pedros toughen up tour."We travelled west to Ceduna and then north up Googs track, which was a real adventure on its own.We then headed east to Tarcoola and then south to Iron Knob, then home to York Peninsula. We slept under the stars, taking six days to do the trip. Finding caches along the way was a bonus and it gave us a break from driving. Thanks for the hide.
