Thanks for taking us on this nice walk on a lovely morning. This one was quickly located.
Easy find on a great day. The flies were keeping us entertained between caches. SL TFTH
Our current visit to Australia had been in the planning for over a year with the very significant help and advice from friends who live in Melbourne. The original plan was for a 2 month visit, but as things progressed we just couldn't help extending our trip to the full 90 days allowed on our visas - after all it's a big country and so much to see and do, especially with our favourite pastimes being birding, hiking and of course geocaching! We are currently on the first section of our journey, which started with our arrival at Perth airport followed by a day cycling around Rottnest Island before travelling on to Adelaide where we met up with our friends. We then continued on to spend some time on Kangaroo Island. We are currently on route to Melbourne via Goolwa, Strathalbyn, Coorong, Mount Gambier (where we are at present), Cape Bridgewater, the Grampians National Park, Port Campbell, Cape Otway and Lorne, cramming in as much as possible on route. From Melbourne we head to Tasmania for a few days, then back to Melbourne before setting off to Sydney via Wilson’s Promontory, Lakes Entrance, Mallacoota, Pambula Beach, Thredbo, Canberra and Fitzroy Falls. After a visit to Sydney we will travel on to the Gold Coast, then after spending a few days in the nearby mountainous birding hotspots, followed by an overnight trip to Fraser Island, we will fly from Brisbane to Cairns, visiting yet more good birding sites. We will then drive up to Cape Tribulation before heading back south again to Port Douglas and a day out on the Great Barrier Reef. We then return to Cairns for the flight to Alice Springs, where we will hire a 4x4 camper and set off for a week on the circuit to and from Kings Canyon and Ayers Rock. We then fly to Darwin from where we will spend the last two weeks of our holiday making our way to Broome via Kakadu, Cooinda, Katherine Gorge, Kununarra, Lake Argyle, Emma Gorge, the Bungle Bungle’s and Fitzroy Crossing. Our last two nights in Australia will be spent in Broome before we fly back to Perth, from where we will connect with the flight all the way back home to Zimbabwe via South Africa. We already know we can't wait to return!
A nice quick find at Ground Zero on this lovely nature trail, although pestered my mosquitos while signing the log! Thanks for the cache.

Close encounter with an Echidna as I made my way to this one. Good view, definitely a quiet spot, TFTC.
# 6861. The first full day caching in the area with Robmc and The Morris and we head towards Nelson intending to boat up the Glenelg River to Princess Margaret Rose caves and return.
The third one found on the walk and a nice quick find. We now continue on to a Quick Hide.
Thanks jgc3

Found on our long weekend in th ePortland area. Today we took the boat down to travel up the Glenelg river and we managed to get a couple of caches along the way.
We found this on our circuit of Livingstone Island. Unplanned, no water and no hats.

Off on a short three hour cruise with The Morris and BettyBoo3747. Drove down to Nelson and went for a short walk around Livingston Island, then a cruise up the Glenelg River into SA, then back to Vic, did a quick earth cache, then back to SA, then back to Vic - boy, do we get around or what? [:-}
Popped out of the small tracks and onto a MVO track. Walking further away from the car, but the cache was so close!
Thanks, Robmc.

Another easy find along the path. Again, everything all good at this location. TN, LN, SL. T4TC. Happy Easter!
Visiting Mogni so it was a quick drive around for 9 early morning caches before breakfast. Now it was time to drop a car off at Casterton, so of course just had to stop and get 4 more caches on the way. After lunch at Casterton it was time to do some Vic caches. Another dozen caches found us in the Nelson Pub for dinner. Time to walk off that snitty.
Disturbed a couple of kangaroos on the way to this one. It looked like mum had a joey but the fading light made it hard to see before she went bush. Thanks jgc3.

On the great vic bike ride. Got into camp early then set off to find some of the caches and explore the area with our bikes. Found some beautiful locations, and also some deep sand that we couldn't ride through, but had lots of fun. The walk in this area is truly lovely. TFTC
A quick find whilst doing the loop walk. didn't even know this walking track was here.
A peaceful view that was disturbed by a wallaby, frightened the life out of the Moose, just added to the experience. Thanks for the cache.
Really nice morning to catch these caches. Lots of roos and birdlife. Thanks for the cache.
Nice walk. Just pressed for time to complete the circuit, so will come back on a cooler day. SL tftc
That was a really lovely walk! It usually helps if you take the correct track....
Out with Aussie M & M grabbing some more of the caches put out for the BLE. I was lucky enought to attend but sadly did not have enough time or energy to get many of the caches that weekend.
A big day out, with much success.
Thanks

Heading to Warrnambool via Portland today after the thoroughly enjoyable Big Little Event... Decided to grab some 'smilies' on the way out of Nelson...
Made a nice straight forward find... Enjoyed the walk & chatting to other cachers who had the same idea...
Took: Nothing Left: Nothing Signed Log

Monday at BLE and after packing up, Dennisc52 and I left the campsite and parked his car. Well, mine was already dusty and dirty and his was still clean
Dennisc52 and I managed to achieve locus cache 25 times before we parted company and took separate routes back to Adelaide.
However I hung around Nelson for a bit longer and so, by the time that I stopped at Millicent for the night, I had gathered up another 19 locus cache smileys (with 1 DNF ), making this a 45 cache day [^]
Anyway Dennisc52 and I had a nice time here wandering around and finding caches while enjoying the lovely views and wildlife

When I drove past this on the road I wondered how you would get to it, now I know the secret. I was so engaged in the walk, I strode past and then suddenly stopped and checked the GPSr realising I must be close and had to go back a little way! Cache #1,477.
Continued on this walk while the family were at the beach making new friends. Sun felt very hot by this stage. Quickly signed log and went on my way. Thanks for the cache.

Found at 5:03 PM GAFF1 in the company of ruralslicker. Last cache for the day and it turned out that the whole circuit took less than an hour. Quite enjoyed it - which is quite a statement as we don't normally like to go for walks.
Thanks jgc3,
Thanks jgc3,
Found on our trip to the Little Big Event with Firesafe nice views on a short walk
I had strolled the trail from the end,
And needed to find the other end
A peaceful view had to be enjoyed in silence first.
OK !! Nuff that, off we go...
Back to find the pushbike where I left it at the start
Thanks for the caches [^]

Back in Nelson, while waiting for some fellow cachers to return from the Mount, decided to duck out before dinner and go for this walk. A great spot, with plenty of wildlife to see, and views back to Nelson to enjoy.

#3485 We were really enjoying our walk around the area. We realised why the cache name is so apt here - lovely indeed. A well hidden container was soon revealed and in good condition. Our thanks to jgc3 for the cache and the reason to explore an area that we may well have never visited if it weren't for caching.

Found with CPWanderer while on a trip out from Mount Gambier to grab a few BLE caches. What a lovely walking trail. Would've liked to do the whole loop but it was getting a bit too hot and the legless slithery things were in evidence, too. TFTC
Made my way into this meeting a couple of cache guardians (black snakes) on the way! Thanks jqc3 for the hide!!!
