TFTC. Not quite where we thought it would be .... I'll blame the signal strength on the phone ..... or lack of it!!
We went out for a day's caching with SuperPop around the Nelsen- Port Macdonnell area trying to clean up a few caches around here as well as enjoying a lovely pub lunch at Port Macdonnell.
We had a dnf on this one back in Dec 2012, we did a quick check and found that the last few logs were smiley's so we decided to give it another go. We had a very pleasant walk along the river and although the rain was threatening it held off which made it even better and to top that off we spotted the cache from a distance as we approached and we are happy to say that the log book now contains our names.
We have no idea how we missed it last time but at least it's a smiley now.
Thanks for placing a cache in such a pleasant location.

Found with Liz and Bruce on a good day for caching. This area has clearly been burnt although is now well recovered.
We ventured to Nelson this morning with Alansee to do some of the caches which we knew we would enjoy in this scenic location and we were not disappointed. We encountered emus and kangaroos on the forest tracks but luckily not too close up We found a variety of hides and thanks to jgc3 for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Decided to do some evening caching. A delightful drive and wonderful not worrying about muggles. Eventually the GPS behaved!

Our last day at Mount Gambier, before heading east, to catch up with muggle friends.
After lunch, we drove south to Nelson for some sightseeing and caching.
Lots of nice country to drive through, and we found a good variety of hides.
Cache was located after a short search, signed and replaced as found.
Many thanks for placing this cache, jgc3, for us and others to find.

My first find in Nelson, good to get started on some caching here as we've been staying here for a few days now. I always enjoy visiting Nelson and exploring the forest. Thanks for the hunt this evening
Another great weekend with my geofamily, plenty of miles and smiles with a few geocaches found along the way.
A quick find in the dark.
Thanks for the cache jgc3.

We had an overnight stop at Nelson so headed out to find as many of the BLE as possible. This gave us a small tiki our of the town.
We found this about 9m from where GZ said it should be.

Third find in the BLE series today. Another quick easy find. Thanks for the cache.
Had a little glitch with GPS here and caused us some confusion however we persevered and found it. TFTC
After having tea with fellow cachers, Geomum & Geodad decided the night before that we would head out & have a family caching day today. We had saved a fair few into our phones for the day. This was the 15th one on our list. We had done a few of these not that long ago but only got so far & had no service so we are back. We are enjoying the 4x4 tracks that lead us to these caches. TFTC
Catching up on some old logs

I DNFed this on my last attempt and without paying too much attention to either the hint or the GPS, it was located quickly this time around.
Thanks

Clearly we must have been feeling homesick, gee Vic hasn't changed much since we left!@ A trip to Nelson seemed to be the order of the day, unfortunately we weren't planning on attending a BLE event but that didn't mean we couldn't find a couple (or a lot) of smileys while we were out this way! Found relatively quickly, TFTC (and the series) jgc3! Really, really wish we had a 4WD for this one in summer!
I'm spending christmas in Nelson. This is a nice opportunity to log some of the BLE caches. Merry christmas!
On the great vic bike ride. Got into camp early then set off to find some of the caches and explore the area with our bikes. Found some beautiful locations, and also some deep sand that we couldn't ride through, but had lots of fun. TFTC
Cache found on the Joy of SECS tour with four-fun, Freddo, thewhitedoggang and Team Waldron. There were a stack of boxes to find so we pushed on. We even had a quick round of Mountopoly and a couple of Powertrails to add to the fun. The weather was cool and sometimes icy so wet boots were the order of the day.
Thanks to jgc3 and clear skies from TeamAstro.
A 3 day caching expedition with Freddo, Astro, WhiteDogGang an Four Fun.
Apologies for the generic log but we did a few trails and some of the Mountopoly series. We also did most of the BLE series.
The mozzies were full on at times and it rained most of the first day.

Had such a blast last weekend in this area had to come back to get this track done, arrived to find the track thick with smoke from the dump burn off, through I went, quickly as the smell of burning rubber was not overly pleasant. A nice quick find, though GZ was a little off for me and the hint could of been so many places, but something caught my eye and I got my first cache for the day. TFTC
Yes! after not finding it last time, whilst attending the BLE, back in Nelson for the day to catch up on some more caches. After reading through the logs again and circling about 10m from GZ the cache was spotted from the right angle. tftc
We stopped , we looked but with lots of other drivers out and about over Easter I was not prepared to to stay parked on the road looking.
Will be back

#3578 After doing our CITO bit, then heading back into the Event to sign off and thank the organisers for their tremendous effort, this was our first physical cache for the day. As Locus Cache also said, persistence paid off for us here too. It took us much longer to locate the cache than the difficulty rating would suggest (perhaps it was still too early in the morning for us ). But find we did....eventually - we just couldn't bring ourselves to start the day with a DNF. Thanks for the challenge jgc3, took nothing but left a
Monday at BLE and after packing up, Dennisc52 and I left the campsite and parked his car. Well, mine was already dusty and dirty and his was still clean
Dennisc52 and I managed to achieve locus cache 25 times before we parted company and took separate routes back to Adelaide.
However I hung around Nelson for a bit longer and so, by the time that I stopped at Millicent for the night, I had gathered up another 19 locus cache smileys (with 1 DNF ), making this a 45 cache day [^]
This bloody cache had me hunting for ages and really wishing Dennisc52 was still with me to help find it!
However stubborn me was not going to desist and eventually the cache was found!

Found this neat cache during BIG little EVENT. Our thanks go out to all involved in the event and to all who have placed caches for the event.
Our apologize for the late logs, and the boilplate plate logs.
Due to events happening in our lives just after the event, the logging had to be put on hold until now.
We had a fantastic time, met some new caches and even bumped into a few old ones from afar.
Many, many thanks to all involved.
