We are visiting our local friends and spent some time out at the Peninsula, doing some tours and enjoying the scenery. A shame this place is closed as the owners got too old and the facilities deemed to require too much work for renewing, but at least our friends were able to show us the area and the way to this cache.trixmulle, cheers for placing this Small sized 1.5/4.0 Traditional Geocache Just married.
We are on a Brian Lee tag along tour and stopped in here to let the tyre pressure down and a quick look around. So we made a quick dash to the cache to sign the log. Pity this place is closed it is a wonderful spot. Thanks for placing. this cache here. Not sure how many finds it will have with the place being closed, the last one was in 2021.
We went to the visitor center and they said that Cape Leveque is closed for maintenance works I believe. Will be back for next time!
Don't know how the last finder got up here because it is a No go zone due to Covid.
Was on holiday in Broome and did a day tour to Cape Leveque. Met QueenK8 on the trip who was searching for geocaches (which I've never heard of). Sounded like a fun idea so downloaded the app and helped her find them. This was my first geocache. Look forward to finding more in Perth. Thanks QueenK8!
Having escaped lockdown in Sydney due to a requirement to work, I left Darwin for a nine-day holiday in Broome, then headed down to Perth for ten days. It was great to find geocaches and make new friends along the way!
Today I did a day-trip to Cygnet Bay, One Arm Point and Cape Leveque. I met Aliciazg on the bus and introduced her to geocaching, and she was hooked!
We arrived at Cape Leveque, and were told to turn left to walk down to the beach with the cliffs, and turn right to walk to the beach for swimming. We did both, in that order! On the way over the hill to the swimming beach, Aliciazg and I found this cache - her first one! We had a lovely swim before rejoining the rest of our tour group for the drive back to Broome.
(One photo is of the trackable at the cliffs, and the other is us after our swim at the beach.)
Thanks for the cache, trixmulle!

On a tour to the beautiful Cape Leveque. Lost a piece of coral to the board walk trying to avoid a muggle when putting the cache back in place. TFTC.
Quick font but cache needs attention, log book is wet through so can’t write in it.
Flew in after swooping the horizontal falls. Quick find after breakfast. Ants are friendly. TFTC
Finally made it out to Cape Leveque.
Fortunately found it under the first rock i turned. Ants weren't happy and the cache is a bit damp inside.
Quickly signed and replaced as there is a lot of foot traffic today.
Hope you are still happily married.

Thank you! I headed off on a two week group tour of the Kimberley, from Broome to Kununurra via the Gibb River Road, then back via the Great Northern Highway. Being an organised trip, all caching was opportunistic rather than planned.
After visiting One Arm Point and overnighting at Cygnet Bay, we headed here for a swim and lunch. Happy to make the find.

After a good drive in to the camp we spent a few hours here which included finding the cache. The container was covered with ants and water was inside. But the log was dry with the clip lock bag in good condition. Thanks for placing the cache. A great day out.
We headed back up to the Kimberley for a much needed escape, Broome being our number one stop, being a couple of years since our last visit we had a few green dots on our map, so our mission was set to cleaning that up and turning them into smiley's, happy to say we came up trumps here and walked away with a smiley TFTC
Wir haben einen kurzen Stopp genutzt, um den Cache zu bergen.

Found while visiting from Canberra. We are on a tour and this beautiful spot was our first stop. It’s not quite our honeymoon as we have been married for over 30 years but it’s still a romantic location. Cache was found after a bit of a search. TFTC
A bit of R&R at Cape Leveque after my 6 week trip along the Gibb, Derby and Broome before the dash back to Melbourne.
Congrats on your wedding back then and you could not have picked a better spot in the world.
This is a very special place and the scenery is fantastic.
I booked a beach shelter for a few days just to sit back, take in the views and just relax.
Found the cache after looking in a few spots.
Thanks trixmulle TFTC.

After a fantastic brekkie at the restaurant, we wondered up the track towards the lighthouse to make a quick find. Thanks for enticing us to this magical location.

What a location. Definitely worth the trip up the peninsula, and even all those kilometers of roadworks. And a swim on such an awesome unspoiled beach...perfect...cheers V.
Visited here briefly today on the Horizontal Falls tour from Broome. Beautiful spot. Made hard work of the find turning every rock except the right one first. But we got there in the end. No beach swimming today. The crocs had been spotted. TFTC. Left a TB.
We stayed at this beautiful spot last night , we can understand why you would come across the world to get married here - we are sure you would have had a joyous time . TFTC
This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 9850. We found this as part of our 2018 Round Australia trip.
We came to this amazing location as part of our horizontal falls day tour. While we were waiting for our lunch I took a quick run up the hill to this one and made a quick find before returning to my barramundi and salad lunch.
Thanks trixmulle for the cache.

After some time spent in Broome we have headed up the Dampier Peninsula to spend a few days in an area we have never been to before.
Very few caches, but magnificent beaches with swimming, fishing and snorkeling opportunities.
Today we headed to Cape Leveque itself, a very busy area particularly during the current school holidays. We spent the best part of the day here at Kooljaman, and after finding the cache went swimming and snorkeling.
Loved the beaches here, where the red meets the sand and the sea.

Whilst on our trip around a few of the states of this big country, we stayed a couple of nights here art Cape Laveque and realised this cache was only a few metres from our camp site.
Anyway took a stroll and added our name to the log.
TFTC
Also claimed the path tag, thanks.

This is the first one and there is now an entry fee of $10 pp but try mentioning the GC word!
A good find by Mr 2+4, SL and left a pathtag. TFTC!

Lovely! Our son-in law has a cache in Tasmania called “Will you Marry me?” Where he proposed to our daughter, so we really wanted to get this cache! Beautiful views, log bag was damp but log book in good condition.

Made some friends at church yesterday and organised to jump in their vehicle to come out to the point. Nice easy cache after sitting in a nice shaded spot for lunch. TFTC
Found this cache after an overnight stay at Kooljaman. We are sort of part time cachers these days and only try to pick up a cache or two in each town we visit but only caches that take us to an interesting spot and relatively easy to find - isn't that the whole idea of caching? We have had a run of DNFs on our recent trip mainly due to caches being in inappropriate area ie around public toilets, in areas surrounded by junk etc. Enough complaining - this cache met all our idea of a perfect cache. Thank you. We enjoyed the walk and finding the cache.
Found as part of TWDGs excellent adventure.
6 weeks touring WA, Broome, The Kimberley & Gibb River Road.
Saw some beaut spots & found some great caches
Thanks to all the teams that placed caches & took us on this journey

Another one done. Woo Hoo! I love the challenge of the geocache hunt - read the notes, decipher the cache requirements, and go searching for the hide. This is an amazing world-wide game of hide and seek. I love it! I also enjoy caching with my family, and meeting fellow cachers. It really is a small world when I read over cache logs. **Thanks go to trixmulle** for placing this cache and maintaining it. It's a great contribution to the Geocaching community and much appreciated.
I enjoyed finding this one at 7:06:47 PM during a 15 day fly-away to Outback Australia with DylanJade and Jackie.

TFTC. Sl. Found while spending a half day wondering around the cape.

Also they make great smoothies at the lower caravan park shop.

Wir sind zum ersten Mal in Australien unterwegs und sammeln gern mal die eine oder andere Dose, wie auch diese hier. Danke sagen wir allen Ownern für das Herführen und Pflegen.
A quick find today after having lunched at Cygnet Bay earlier. The cache is in good condition (and was also well concealed) and the log(s) is dry. SL, then began the long drive back to Broome - next time we'll stay at least overnight. Thanks to trixmulle for the cache.

Found on a recent trip to the Kimberley.
A day in Broome, followed by a Kimberley Wild 10 day camping tour, then a day tour to Horizontal Falls and another day in Broome.
A fantastic time with a few caches found along the way.
Our tour stopped here for breakfast, so I took the opportunity to go and find the cache. The Variety Bash car rally was camped in the camping area, and just leaving, so I was able to see some of the cars.
The cache was quickly found and the log signed.
I'm pleased to say the friendship rings are still there in good condition.

tftc,
Today is day 36 of an adventure that will take me around Australia with a group of trackables as we now head south towards Perth. My caches visited can be tracked by checking out the Key Ring using the code TB4P4C1.
We made the trip up to the top of Cape Leveque for a couple of days and this morning we are going south again. Left 2 trackables and giving A favorite for the location.
As a part of my contribution to helping make the "Easter 2017 Red Centre Experience" GC6825Z a great Event, I will be leaving a card in every cache that is large enough to take it. This card provides a number for a trackable so you can "Discover me". There is also the Web page address "red.ozmega.com.au".
Happy caching.

A quick find the container was not hidden very well, it was noticable as you walk up to it, signed the log and replaced, this covered it a little better. Thanks to trixmulle for this location. We enjoyed a couple days in the camp grounds.
We spent our second time at cape leveque, and we really love it!

This cache was found while we are on our Brad&Janet's Excellent Adventure to WA. Travelling with Mr and Mrs Grump68, Mr and Mrs Yang, and the Others.
We organised two events. One in Karajini NP on 20 May and one in Broome on 27 May.
The adventure so far has included a kangaroo charging and head-butting our car left rear door while we were effectively stopped. And a big challenge which was the differential internal locking bolts starting to undo themselves while we were on the Menzies to Sandstone road a mere 570km east of Geraldton.
This enforced a change of plan which took two teams (Brad&Janet and Mr and Mrs Grumpi68) to Geraldton. Which was not been a bad thing at all
While in Geraldton we found a few local caches and even managed a first on a D4.5/T5 6 week old cache in the centre of town!
The other two couples and 4WDs continued on the planned route north and we eventually caught them at Coral Bay after our 4WD had finished its refreshment at the Geraldton ARB Day Spa
Since then we have had a great week in Karijini NP and Millstream Chicester NP again grabbing a few caches on the way.
Then the Gibb River Rd and Kununurra. And the highlight of being the first ever to find Australia's oldest cache The Legend Bluey at Truscott Air Base just over seven years since it was hidden.
And finally home down the centre of Australia.
This one was found with grumpi68. We spent a bit of time searching before grumpi laid his hands on the prize. Still all locked up.
A nice idea.
