Out and about with flossieteacake on a trip up to Tmaki Makaurau. Fast find, hidden in plain sight, which I love. TFTC TheWonderStuff
Up visiting relatives for a couple of days. This morning wanted to drop by a few of the retailers so while out also managed to slip in a visit two a couple of the local geocaches. This was the first this morning. Have used the same camo on a couple of my own caches so it was a really quick find. Log was damp and the bag no longer water proof so sat in the car for a few minutes in the sun while the log dried out a wee bit. Had a replacement ziplock bag in my emergency maintenance kit so have replaced this as well.
Thanks for the hide and the chance to add another to the map.

I was out for a stroll in the neighbourhood so took a diversion up this road for this cache. Knew what to expect on arrival at GZ. Log wet and bag ripped so could do with some attention. Tftc
I came to New Zealand with my wife on honeymoon
It is hard to log all the caches, I found here in New Zealand, so excuse my mass log for caches around Orewa, please
At first i started with caches around Estuary Cycleway, then to Red Beach, Hatfield´s Beach, Millwater and Silverdale. Some of the caches are now disabled as i can see, and some of them were disabled, but were on place.
After consulting with owner I made maintanance on some of disabled and missing caches.
I found many really nice caches...it was awesome, but i think, that some of them (for example Bison caches) have too low D/T combos...but owners are really helpful, so I managed to find each of them. I usually borrowed bike from my brother in law and then in the early morning, or in evening went geocaching. I really liked that routine. So I´m really thankful for all the caches on/near Estuary
I need to write here, that I really like nature in NZ...its a big difference between Europe :/
So – TFTC, guys, and especially The Wonder Stuff for placing and G-2 for placing and hints...and sry for mistakes in my poor English...have a nice day(s) there and u should come to find some caches here in Slovak Republic

A quick walk in Silverdale collecting some more caches. Spotted this well cameoed cache on approach. Was only easier for us this time as we have found similar ones before. Log seems to be doing well thanks to GSEL for replacing.
#10,688. I have flown up for the mega event this weekend. Came early to get some caching done around Auckland. Another very hot summers day in Auckland as well. I was planning on doing the challenge caches in this area but East Coast Bays road was closed due to road works and so had to abandon that plan. After doing the adventure lab stages in Silverdale I drove around here to this cache in Millwater.
This one is certainly hidden in a residential setting. Hope the neighbours know about it or are not interested in what happens in the street close by. Quick find of the cache. The logbook was just a tatty mess of confetti that flaked away into the gutter when I opened the bag. Put in a replacement logsheet with waterproof paper. Signed the log and returned the cache where found. Thanks TWS for hiding it here.

Very quick find, once you've seen this hide before.
Couldn't sign the log, it was full of ants and mould.

Found it, could not write on it because so wet and I could not get it out of the cache. TFTC
In Silverdale for a day out and a spot of caching today. After successfully clearing out Milwater Park we had some well earned lunch and MrNZT wanted to finish the day on a nice round number of found caches, so had another 3 to get to 20 for the day. This was #17 for the day. Sneaky hide, found quickly and signed very discreetly. TFTC!
With the forecast for sun and warm weather, I was keen to get out and stretch my legs while enjoying the sunshine. Decided to bring my niece and nephew along for the hike of Shakespear Reserve.
After getting ice-cream we were heading towards home but still had time for more caching. We had to stop in Silverdale, and this was close by. This was to be the last cache before leaving. We had to wait out some muggle kids to walk past GZ before swooping in to make the find.

The kids and I are heading down to Auckland this weekend to see my family. I'm also after 25 caches to solve the mystery at the museum.
I thought we'd aim at getting 10 easy ones on the way down. This area looked like it fitted the bill without being a major detour. This cache was nice and easy to find even in the dark. I've seen this camo before but I always like it. Thanks for hiding it

After a few hours of exploring with CornishLassie and The Wonderstuff we stopped for lunch and decided to continue on our own to find a few more before heading home considering we had made the trip up here...
Nice quick find here...we have seen these before...
Thanks for the cache.

Out on a caching adventure with tikitour and riser5 to get 100 geocaches for the hidden creature souvenirs. Logging at T18. TFTC
Replaced log and used another magnet to make sure it stays in place.

Out for a days caching with Remaker13 and Riser5 - logging as T18. Nice cache but no log...lucky I had a few bits in my bag to fix up , now has log etc.....TFTC
Out and about for a spot of cache detection on this changable, weather wise, day. I parked up, crossed the street and quickly spotted an intem of interest. Further investigation confirmed that it was, in fact, the cache. Unfortunately, as others have noted, there is currently no log available for signing. I didn't have anything approaprite on me to provide a replacement. Anyway, cheers for the cache placement!
We found the cache but were unable to sign the log as there was no paper log to sign. Unfortunately we did not have any log paper on us to add to this cache.
We found the cache quickly but there's no log and we didn't have our caching bags with us so couldn't replace it
Led us to a lamp post with a small but deep hole, stuck my skinny arm down to find a handful of cobwebs, DNF
Nice and easy, added new waterproof log and straightened the cache out , looks as though it's been dinged up at some stage. All ok
Thanks!
Thanks!
Drove in circles around Silverdale for a few minutes. Unsurprisingly our GPS maps are out of date for this area. Eventually parked right next to gz and noticed something out of place which indeed turned out to be the cache.
There was a contractor in a white van parked right there, but I was able to make the grab without them seeing what I was up to. I signed in my silver van, but then had to wait for an opportunity to return the cache. TFTC.
Despite all the new building work going on, the cache container is still here. The log is missing but I left a new piece of paper with my mark, and replaced. It isn't waterproof so probably won't last long, TFTC
I haven't been around here for a few years, and my how it has changed. I remember the new roads going in, but I couldn't visualise the rest if the development.

Still enjoying the late afternoon sun, no worries here with the cache except that paper was very wet. But still easily signable. They seem to make retaining walls just for the heck of it around here. Thanks again TWS.
Found this one. Ended up having to wear my electrical hi-vis to stop the construction working giving me weird looks for leaning over their barrier.
Todays caching day was supposed to be all about 4WD along Muriwai Beach and grabbing those letterbox hybrid caches along the beach. The weather was favourable, tide timew was good as well and the geomobile full of fuel. Only problem, no company. My intended travellers pulled out one by one leaving me alone and, sniff, sad.
Nothing for it but to call off that mission and come over to Silverdale to grab a few easy caches to push the numbers along. There are absolutely loads here and in a new area that's always a winner. It also means I can park in one place, walk a loop grabbing 4 or 5 or 6 the go and move the car again to tyhe centre of the next cluster. Managed over 30 today which although not massive numbers was a nice gentle trip and back here at a decent time with time to log them and do all the humdrum extras before work again tomorrow.
Moved the car up to nearby and walked another loop of 6 caches.
The colour doesn't match the background so this stood out a bit

Quick find - was a bit concerned due to GZ being just behind a barrier for earth works going on, but was able to reach out and grab it subtly enough - thankfully cache was peeping out slightly so visible from where I could stand.
Lis's crew - only other signature on new replacement log was Cretti (so it wasn't this cache but the other one you found!)

I'm a bit confused and can't remember if it was this cache or Silverdale Town Centre - Pioneering Lifestyles(AK) GC41PDK that we did. This GZ doesn't looks familiar on the map but my notes say residential. This was our 103rd cache for the day so I think being a bit confused at our last cache for the day is acceptable. If the next finder can look for my name in red on the logs and let me know if this was the one I did I'd appreciate it. Thanks for the cache
We knew this was the last cache for the day. 9:30pm .
Parked 70 metres away and walked to GZ. quick collect and
sign for this perfect night cache. TFTC

Thanks for the cache, this is the first time I have used a handheld GPS to go Geocaching. I found it immediately, thanks for the cache. Found with Team Welsh.
I found 2 caches here. I signed the log from the improper one and put it in the real one. TFTC.

Found with kiwitrecker1 and the kids who waited while I did some acrobatics to get this one - nice hide!
TFTC. Millwater Security did stop to ask us off the construction site, but was also a fellow cacher, so was in great spirit.
Parked in Bonair Cres after doing another mapping update of the Millwater Development.
Neat disguise - absolutely love these! Thanks for the work into building this hide, a favorite!

After completing the Route 66 trail it was time to head back to civilization for some well earned refreshments. Got to Silverdale and decided this would do. Found a few of the caches in the area while I was here too. Certainly nothing like the Silverdale of my youth. No problems with this cache - I still get a smile remembering the first time I encountered one of these containers - placed by this same CO too - and how hard it was to realise that it was a cache. TFTC, Biggles.
Didn't find the geo but found the missing log just on the ground. No toilet here anymore. Re hid the log in the lamp post.
Decided to claim this one. We put the missing log in a waterproof slip and re hid it.
[green] At long last, after two weeks of Auckland Mega and the GeoTours North and South, I can get my bike out and go for a ride. Over 30 caches by bike today! Yep, guessed the hide from 50m away. Sometimes I get it right. Other times its an ammo can and I'm useless!
Cache was lying on ground and log missing. Now has a replacement log.
Cheers Gav

My last cache seek whilst in Silverdale today. This one took me quite a little while to track down. Hopefully no one noticed my extended toilet stop. TFTC.
Some nice houses going up around here. All nice and quiet when we came through though and a quick find in the likely spot (glad it wasn't the other option). Nicely done - TFTC
Quick wee find even with the workers loo strapped to gz spot. Managed to source without being noticed early this morning while in the area. . If the workers only knew , just what's hidden so close .
1.15pm. Quick park and grab and another in the rain. Was the portaloo there when the cache was placed?
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
It is off to Silverdale to pick up a few more caches in the STC series. I was glad everyone was still in bed.
Cheers for the cache.
Quick find and best of all no one around apart from some roofers further up the road

Quick find under the cover of a dog walk then straight back to the car and home. So much development everywhere you look TFTC.
