Well, we had been caching most of the day in Rotorua and were heading home, but "one more" had to be found. Arrived as my phone battery died. After charging enough to get info, I nipped across the road and spotted the poor taumatised cache. Was busy signing the log when a neighbour walking "daisy" stopped to chat (well to see what was going on - obviously not one of the ones in the know). We chatted to her and Daisy - still not letting on what we were doing, but she seemed satisfied that we were harmless and toddled off. Thanks for bringing us here mineemo.
Out for a days caching in Rotorua ....this is the last for today and it was a pleasing easy drive by ...thank heavens....it's hard work caching lol ....the poor old tree has seen better times but a great place for a cache ...thanks mineemo for the great placement
It feels very weird caching on private property. I did knock to say hello but no-one was home. TFTC.
Didn't read the cache page properly at first so didn't realise it was on private property. Saw a car there but no one seemed to be about. Cache soon located. Thanks
My timing was really good on this cache. Just as I made the find the owner drove up, so I had a really nice chat with her and her family. Geocaching is such a great activity - making new friends instantaneously! Signed the log. TFTC!
Cool cache! Quick find as it was getting dark. Didn't see anyone watching us. Found with livee_nz. TFTC
Gutted I didn't come and find this one before now, it would have been awesome. Always sad to lose a beautiful tree.
Soon spotted the butchered remains of the foul deed. When I was a small child my grandmother had a magnificent magnolia outside her drawing room. It was my favourite tree as it's big sturdy limbs made it safe for a small child to climb. While I was inspecting the GC the CO came out and we enjoyed a pleasant conversation about the joys of geocaching. Thanks for keeping the cache going. TFTC
So, the tree has gone!!!! So sad, but it had to go before it ruining my sewerage pipes, will replace it asap with something...
I'm logging this one very late (30/12/16), I do apologise. I thought I had logged it but on checking local caches again while visiting Dad in the Christmas break I didn't see a little smiley face here on my map.
This was our first find in a morning of caching in the rain before I headed back home. TFTC

2237 Didn't read the description so assumed it was in the park behind the houses. Parked there and walked through the park but couldn't get close. Then realized the error of my ways so walked around. Loved the cache.
We were so pleased to meet and chat with mineemo, an interesting and intrepid woman.
We loved the cache too, so left a heavy heart (literally) as we heard that it may not be here much longer.
I was pleased to finally say goodbye to that particular piece of swag as it has weighed heavy in my pack for far too long!
This cache gets a fav point from us too. Perhaps it could be rehomed instead of being archived.

Cute! Lovely lady who owns the property. Hope you feel better soon. Baxter says Hi. TFTC
After starting the weekend in Taupo late Friday night and eventually losing half of our group along the way, alpenmilch80 and I moved north to Rotorua to continue the weekend's activities.
Could have retrieved this one without the ropes, but what fun would there be in that? Awesome cache and one of the highlights of the day. TFTC

Out and about with evilno9 during the queen birthday weekend. Today we spend the night and some time in Rotorua before returning to Auckland. What a great geocache. We enjoyed using the rope even if evilno9 could have reached the geocache. TFTC
What a cool cache!!! Master 7 had been grumbling and groaning about going out caching this afternoon. Luckily this was our first stop and he was bouncing around with excitement! Thanks for making the rest of our afternoon go so smoothly . Definitely one of the best I've seen. TFTC
Out for a spot of bitthday caching late this afternoon and thus was the first one on our list. It wss recommended to us by stick-a-crane and it was well worth it.
As we parked up next to GZ we could see the cache and were excited to be getting this one, especially master chrisandmum who didn't want to go out in the first place. We got out and lowered tbe cache to minicacher height. The cache was retrieved and the log signed.

Totally wowed by the magnificent magnolia. Easy find but a total joy. Thanks for sharing your great tree and cache with us.
We enjoyed visiting your cache. Thank you for letting us on your private property to retrieve it. It is really fun cache, and a beautiful location. We just wish we could've seen the magnolia in bloom.
Grabbing a few caches in the area with Metzgan, before heading back to Auckland after a fun weekend away, complete with road tripping, caching and running a Team Relay Marathon around Lake Rotorua. Didn't read the cache description at first, so was initially shocked to realise it was a front yard cache. A few muggles out for a walk, but they weren't paying too much attention to what we were up to. Once we realised what and where the cache was, we were super exited! What a neatly constructed cache. +1 favourite point, thanks for the effort in setting it up!
Attempted this yesterday but as we neared the destination in car, I reached into pocket and a thorn broke off in finger tip.
Ooooouuchhhhy
By the time I had removed it,sun had fallen and we did not want to cause suspicion so waited for today to reattempt.
Today everything went smoothly, extraction was a breeze, trades done and TB taken to keep it moving.
Nicely built cache, kids loved it.
Cheers

Such a ever geocache, I love that you've taken the time to rig something like that up! Had my Mum with me and she thought it was fantastic, fav point awarded tftc.
In town today to test out some new bikes for work so once that was finished I had time to find some caches.
Usually I am not a fan of caches on peoples property but this one made my day! Deserves a fave point from me.
I parked on the roadside and scoped out the design and it looked easy enough, no one was around so I made my move. How cool is this cache!!
Thank you so much for the effort put into this one, I really enjoyed it.

An impromptu night mission with the crew TNXpro and KiwimikeBOP down to Rotorua.
Hilarious - rocking into someones driveway at 11:40pm for a cache on their property. We were probably a little louder then we should have been but this cache was a bit of fun. A quick park and grab here - it was hosing down so quickly with the log then back in the car.
Cheers again Mineemo, TFTC

On a late night caching run with Kiwimikebop and PhilipPerry.
We were being selective on the cache to find at this time of night and were searching for higher fav points.
This one came well recommended, so we rock up at a quarter to midnight and Philip parks in the driveway.
We werent exactly expecting coffee and cake at this time of night, lol, so we did what we had to in the rain and left quickly.
The cache was well constructed and easy to work out. A fav point for this one.
Thanks

birthday trip around north island, awesome cache must be fun sitting in the house watching people get this one FP from us TFTC
Driving towards GZ we certainly spied a Magnificent Magnolia. Parked nearby and, following the instructions, soon had our hands on the logbook. Very nicely done, thanks. Adding a favourite point.
P.S. To reinforce the cache page message that the cache is on your own property you might consider adding the 'Front Yard Cache' attribute.

Really fun cache. Awesome construction Also love your letterbox. Thanks so much for the cache.
At a recent event HKCB and I had been working out where was local and needing to be cleared out as we had been letting things slip a bit lately. And what with the need for our muggle partners want us to respectivley spend more time with them rather than caching another night mission was planned for Rotorua.
We met up at 5.30pm and set off, both knowing that we needed to be back by about 2am, so we worked a plan that would mean that we cleared out a reasonable area for each of us before we came back over next time.
This was the eighth of the clean up of caches around the area after following having a breakfast cache or three at the wrong end of the day. Needless to say we were very quite while retrieving this cache.
Nice quick find and twenty second of the evening so far
Thanks for the placement]

Decided that another night trip was on the cards, and not being one to turn down a mission I was keen to tag along. We needed to be back home by 2.00am as I had another caching mission on Saturday and needed at least a few hours sleep.
Left Hamilton about 5.30pm and headed south. We had a rough plan of tackling the new breakfast series and to get whatever else we hadn't found on that side of town. A pretty successful mission with only 1 DNF (which we were pretty sure was muggled) and some really cool caches to boot. Thanks to everyone for the great placements.
Cool hide! As this was at a private residence and we were going to be looking for this one at night I had checked out the youtube clip before hand so I knew what to expect. Gently lowered the cache and made a quick sign and raised the cache back up into position. I think it took us less than a minute to complete. Worth a fav point for the effort, I hope we didn't wake you.

I live out of town and was passing thru ,I downloaded this cache 18 months ago so my gps had me all over the place and the old description said at base of tree ,Dont go off drive .
I wandered around long enough feeling like a right wallie in front of neighbours . saw the colourful rope but took no notice as I would have had to step off driv e. looked at the bird feeders as well. I know where it is now and will be back . it is disappointing there are no TBs if it is as the previous log suggests.

I'm a big fan of contraptions so we were really happy to find this! Absolutely one of the coolest caches I've seen! We were very lucky to meet mineemo and have a chat! Thank you very much! (+1 favourite point)
What a wonderful find, this was my 4th find for the day and was really just picking them at random so did not read up about it until I got to my location. Lovely concept and great effort find 17 for me and this is so far my fav. Did keep checking if your neighbour was spying on me haha! TFTF, NTNL
Very cool cache thanks for taking the time to set this one up!

An easy find, a clever retrieval method and the thrill of finding my first travel bug...now logged. Happy happy! tftc
This one was epic, the person who set it up was absolutely wonderful to me and my friends.
Just met some more newbies, lovely to meet them, fun and enthusiastic. New TB placed
First find of the day and the best cache we have seen. Definate favourite. Was neat meeting and chatting with the lovely owner. Also picked up our first TB,which my daughter claimed and will log. This one will be hard to beat! Thanks for the cache !!
Awesome cache! Lovin it! I collected the geo-coin which is my first ever one too.
Just met some newbie geocachers an own cache. Yay, TB taken, so new one placed! Merry Christmas!
A day spent being a bit Touristy around Rotorua, didn the Waimaunga Valley walk - no caches there, but very intersting place. Found a few caches as we potted around a few of the lakes. Thanks for hiding these!
Found as part of team Stik-a-crane now logging under my own name. I was there to make the find but want to create a map and history of my own unique kind.
Very cute cache. Loved the pulley system, and just around the corner from our house so a perfect find on a sunny Saturday morning
Dropped tb, took tb,
