Logs
We found this one after reading some past logs and agree that the coordinates are about 40 metres out, but the hint still works. TFTC
On a quiet, misty morning in late autumn, Amy laced up her hiking boots and set off for a special geocaching adventure. Todays destination was a small memorial park nestled in the rolling hills outside town. The geocache, aptly named "Lest We Forget," promised both a challenging hunt and a poignant tribute. The park was serene, with fallen leaves crunching underfoot and a gentle breeze whispering through the trees. Amy followed the coordinates, which led her along a narrow, winding path flanked by tall oaks and maples. Each step felt like a journey back in time, as if the park itself was a guardian of memories long past.As she neared the coordinates, Amy spotted a modest monument in the distance, its bronze plaque glinting softly in the morning light. The monument stood as a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by soldiers from the local community. She paused for a moment, bowing her head in respect, before continuing her search. The coordinates led her to a large, ancient oak tree a few yards behind the monument. Its gnarled roots and sturdy trunk seemed to whisper secrets of the past. Amy carefully examined the base of the tree, her fingers brushing against the rough bark and the soft, damp earth. After a few moments of searching, she spotted a small, camouflaged container nestled in a hollow among the roots. With a sense of reverence, she retrieved the container and opened it. Inside, she found a logbook and a few small trinkets. One item caught her eye: a delicate poppy pin, symbolizing remembrance. She smiled softly, touched by the thoughtful inclusion.Amy signed the logbook, leaving a note of gratitude for those who had given their lives in service. She then took out a small token she had brought alonga tiny compass keychainand placed it in the container as her contribution. Before replacing the cache, Amy took a moment to sit by the monument, reflecting on the stories and sacrifices of the past. The stillness of the park enveloped her, and she felt a profound connection to the history that surrounded her.As she made her way back to the entrance of the park, Amy couldnt help but feel a deep sense of fulfillment. Geocaching had once again led her to a place of meaning and reflection, reminding her of the importance of remembering and honoring those who came before."Lest we forget," she whispered to herself, carrying the sentiment with her as she headed home, the memory of the day etched into her heart.Come visit SA's longest running annual event -keep the Long weekend free- June 2025 Can't wait!!2565
The best I found was plastic and a torn-up log. Pfft grrr really don't like DNFs!! Think farmer brown has splashed over GZ and at 40mtrs out it has been cleaned up. Don't usually claim these types but when another 30 min look finds only clues I'm not going to leave it today! CITO the area.
Travelling Australia in our caravan since February 2014.With magnificent weather forecast we were up making lunch, loading the bikes onto the geocruiser fairly early (for us).We saw a large snake on the mid north channel trail, many kangaroos and bobtails whilst out and about.Crops looking great in this region. We are waiting for harvest to start on York Peninsula, gonna be a while yet. TFTC stephy699
Travelling with iluvtrekking up the WA coast to Darwin, down the Centre and in the Flinders. After spending some time in Peterbough and Minlaton we moved to Moonta to grab finds in Moonta and surrounds. Out on wet and misty day run to Clare and caching en route. Co-ords are 40 mts out and need to be corrected.
Found it quick find on a cold morning. Signed as The Brown Family aka “the coloured mint tin by the sea people”

Southern Autumn adventure Day 32. Mid North section of SA trip Day 3. Clare area Day 2. Wow, what a miserable we and cold day. I was in the area to take my scooter on the rail trails, but wow, that was not going to happen today. Instead I poked around back roads and a few solved puzzles in town before retreating inside to watch the Coronation, it is a once in a long time event. I will say I am looking forward to coming back to the region as there is plenty more to do, even after getting on the trails eventually.
I have no idea why, but this one was eventually found about 40m from my GZ. It may be logical, but it was very delaying.
Thanks for the cache S and A

Away for a couple of days with TheWhiteDogGang.

Most caches found were in good order.
We found this cache in the obvious spot but it was 42 metres from GZ.

Another cache found on our 2022 South Australian Adventure. It is bitterly cold, wet day today with the sky touching the ground, just perfect for Geocaching.
We are enjoying our time travelling SA, fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs. Our thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.

Staying in Clare for the JLW caching event, picking up as many caches around the surrounding areas as we can. This cache is one that was found today.
A quick find once in the right spot, our coords were around 40m out. Cache is not along the vineyard fenceline, check around the plaque.
Find #4154 on 11 Jun 2022.

We had a great day out today where we ended up finding 33 geocaches in total and in that we did 10 Different types of caches in one day and in most cases we did a couple of each type.
Found eventually due to coordinates being off by quite a bit but looked in the obvious spot and we found then cache.

Passed our bike riders again just before we turned the corner... You guessed it they came round the corner too... Are they stalking us...???
Arrived at the Co-Ords but they were a bit off... After a bit of deduction and reading past logs we worked out where it should be...
Bike riders went into a house just down the road... Started looking and another rider came from other direction.. He went into same house...
Peace at last..
Eventually located signed the log and headed off again..
Thanks stephy699 for the cache

40m out here but after walking back to the obvious location the cache was found after some strength was used
Off to Clare for an overnight trip mainly focusing on getting the bikes out for a spin and hitting the rail trails for some adventure and indulging in the local wine culture, whilst finding some caches along the way. A lovely weekend away dodging the weather. Total of 91 finds for the 2 days.

Found on a night walk from the Burkirk glamping where we were staying. A nice spot.
TFTC SL. My wife's grandfather was the architect for the hall. A close friend was the person who bequeath the funds for the signs. Good to see an interest in these old buildings. Congratulations to the local community. Thanks to the CO for the placement of the cache and for bringing other cachers here.
Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks stephy699 for the cache.

Wednesday wanderings with the usual crew back to Clare and surrounds to further clean out the area of yet to be found caches.
Nothing at GZ according to the co ordinates listed. As with others a wider search at an appropriate location soon uncovered the hide.
Signed and returned as found.
As previous finders have noted, the cache is some 40 meters away from the co ords listed. The owner needs to amend this. TFTC

Yet another Wednesday wander for members of the puzzled puzzlers group. [8)] Today's members are myself, Blackadders and S.A. Sewer Rats. [^] Surprise, surprise - we were one again heading north towards Clare. Shock Horror - we would one be taking a few detours on the way to collect caches. Would we actually make it to Clare today before lunch for a change!
Woo hoo we finally made it to Clare for a latish lunch at lake Inchiquin. What happened here. We pulled up and saw the monument and then wandered back to where the coordinates took us. Nada there. So we wandered up to the monument and used the clue to quickly find the cache. Looks like the easterlies got transposed from 058 to 085! Might need to take a new set!
**Thanks S and A for this cache. **

A scan of the area around GZ showed nothing that would require lifting so a quick read of the logs and we were soon in the correct area and retrieving the cache. tftc
Found this by reading the previous log and using the hint.
The coordinates are about 45 metres off, cache is in a logical spot, however the coordinates need changing.

We're on our way to the Mega at Alice Springs and traveling all the back roads finding some great camps along the way.
We'll be attempting some of the trails around the area and seeing some great sights too.
Coords out a fair bit.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache stephy699.

Why is it that when you are trying to be quiet and discreet because the large shed opposite is open and has muggles in it that the car alarm decides to throw a hissy fit and bip bip bip as you get out!! Not a good start to our caching experience here!
The cache was quickly located in the second place I checked. Thanks.

Glorious weather made this caching excursion in the Clare Valley most pleasant. Though the food and wine festival was on it did not seem too busy. We met a couple of other geocaching teams and enjoyed having a chat. Nice one, loved the scenery and finding the cache. Thanks to S and A.
A nice memorial
Lest We Forget...
We found this about 44m away from the listed co-ords, by using the numerous previous logs for the info.
Surely by now the CO has had plenty of feedback that the co-ords need fixing online?
Can't believe no-one has posted a needs maint in all this time?

I was headed up to Port Augusta for a kayak event but somehow afterwards I forgot to stop driving.
1,700kms later and after 83 smileys including 1 FTF were locus cache'd, 1 event attended and sadly 7 DNFs and a dead roo, I arrived back home with both the camera and the phone full of pictures of this amazing country in which we live .
Pulled up at GZ then realised after I got out of Harry that there was not really many spots to hide a cache.
Headed 40m away to where I had originally thought the cache may have been and there it was!
