Found at 10:54:00 AM(t) GAFF3.
The biggest issue with this cache was trying to find an area where we could turn the caravan around Big Grin Thank goodness there has been some burn-off and the grass has mostly gone so we can see if there are any hidden rocks or logs to impeded our foray into the bush to turn around!
Thanks Lumpyjrb.

The journey continues with ilook4geo. We decided to have a go at this series and actually managed to find each one and sign the log. We did do some rock scrambling but success gives encouragement for the next one. Thank you to Lumpyjrb for putting out this series of caches.

We continue our journey to Katherine Park a little earlier than expected since our 2WD campervan is not allowed to go on sniff tracks !!! We will make a few stops at the sight of green dots .... the road will seem much shorter . Thanks to all the installers for the work done. Hello from France.
1 FAV ***********************************

Short search here unearthed the replacement cache. As one of us was wandering around the base of the rocks, we found the original cache on the ground. It has been slightly damaged and it looks as though an animal may have had a good nibble at the lid. The cache was rather wet inside but the log was still intact, although the plastic bag had been melted on to it due to recent fires. We removed plastic, and replaced with a new bag. Have also placed the cache container in a ziplock bag to keep it dry and placed it with the other cache. TFTC and for a great little series.

Had a good search here and couldn't find the cache, and given the previous DNF and gap where others had completed the series without this one I declared it missing in action and left a replacement in what I think is the appropriate spot. Thanks for the series Lumpyjrb.

31-May-17
Searched the area, but sadly a DNF for us here today. [8)] Hopefully we were just cache blind again.Surprised

Thanks anyway Lumpyjrb

The last find along here and we must admit, a little bit glad. We have had some bad experiences searching fruitlessly for ages for caches in rocks.

07-Sep-13
Found, while heading towards Katherine, we unhooked the caravan and took the side road.
As we both love Rock 'n' Roll music, we were looking forward to completing this series.
For the 7 caches, it made us use all the geo-skills we have.
A good variety of containers, with some very imaginative hides.
Thanks for the series, Lumpyjrb.

This was our 3rd cache find in the caching run & we found it at 12:47
So this now makes our total find count 6899.

[blue]
Another wonderful day in Katherine. The cache raid today was a random start point followed by a string of caches selected, in most cases, by the "next closest" method.

If this was the Stuart Highway, it's much narrower than we thought it would be.

After finding over 6899 caches, it is really sad to note that the trend of placing small caches without swaps is increasing, especially in a spots such as this - where a larger container could have been placed. Doesn't anyone want to place large, kid friendly caches any more. [?] Sad
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent (Around 2 metres).
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks Lumpyjrb for the hunt today.

On a Trip to the top end for the V8 Race weekend 14 days of driving and racing
ah the dance is over and so are the rocks

19-Jun-13
After 5 days in Darwin for the V8's and a little sightseeing it was time to head south back to the cold. Of course we grabbed caches on the way. Spent today in the Katherine area before staying the night at the Mataranka Thermal Pool. Smile

Quick find and sign for this one. TFTC. Big Grin

We were very pleased to see 7 caches along the old Stuart Highway...couldn't imagine how difficult for the drivers to drive along this narrow road! Nice and easy find by Mr Bushies2. Thanks Lumpyjrb for the series.

Nice cache - Landlockedsailors claimed a FTF here, only a few minutes prior to our arrival. But it seems there's a different time zone where they are from - the date in the log is 23-3 Wink You're a month behind in your travels, Mrs and Mr Landlocksailors Smile

Saw this group of seven pop up, so parked the rig in Katherine and went back north. Decided to start from No 1, which was just as well, since it gave us a string of 5 out of seven FTF's. YEAH!

S0... an FTF. Great

That part of the road has certainly changed since we first drove along it in 1976!

Thanks for the series, Lumpyjrb

Nice hides - all different and all interesting.
