This was a wild adventure today because as soon as I touched the tree deliberately or accidentally I was attacked and bitten by ants. They were everywhere in the tree. Could not get close enough to have a proper look.

Out for the second round of these caches, taking it in turns with grandies to walk or go in the car. A lovely day cloudy but not hot or cold. Unfortunately most of these were wet and unable to sign log.TFTC

Started this series back in June, but had left the rest of this section until now to avoid the prolific soursobs growing back then [8]. They are all still quite a challenge !
The lid was open and the log on the ground . TNLNSL.

I managed to convince geodaughter to give up a day of computer games for some caching fun. We packed some lunch and off we went, heading north for the "wild adventure". We had some fun, some lunch and some more fun. Eventually the fun ran out so we headed home. TFTC auzzie convict!

Tackled the Aussie Convict Series with Mogni and Mrs M from Aussie M & M. before a rumoured archiving. After doing all but 2 of the northern part it was time to start this section in the rapidly fading light. Another one found but time to break out the torches very soon. Thanks aussie convict.

Heard a rumour this series was being archived so.... ring Adelaide caching friends and a visit is planned, all in less than 24 hours... Lucky I am on holidays.
An interesting series that was very challenging at times. Thanks for the effort put in, apologies for the cutting and pasting.

After the Spring Lunch event I hitched a ride with Honeysucker and locus cache to knock of more of this series with a rumoured archiving imminent. We met up with the better half of M&M, mogni and brisal5 shortly thereafter and attempted numerous group hunts. This was the fifth for the afternoon for me! TFTC auzzie convict!

Clearly geocaching with kids is making us take our time with the fun little power trail. We'd accomplished another part of it, and will try for more soon.

It's a fun little series that really requires you to have your searching eyes on - we enjoy walking from cache to cache.

Having recently returned from our adventures in South America we were enthusiastic to venture out to do this new adventure. So in the company of Honeysucker and Mary from Aussie M&M that is exactly what we did. The finds were challenging to say the least with so much area to check out around gz. Often we looked low, then high and then even higher. It was always with a great deal of satisfaction that we were able to say - here it is. Thanks to auzzie convict for the cache.

Out for a days caching with Freddo, Astro, Four-Fun and Huurtle doing the Aussie Convict Series at Roseworthy.

We had our share of dnfs and I reckon some form of a hint on each cache wouldn't hurt.

I imagine some of these caches are a lot harder thios time of year with the long grass and sour sobs.

Still we had a good time searching and finding these micro containers.

The Sunday Gang ('SG' in logs) of Freddo, 4Fun, Waldron, Astro, & TeamHuurtle fought valiantly to free some convicts today.
Alas 12 could not be freed and were dnf'd. A few hints please?

Unfortunately most of the cache logs are wet/damp and some were mash and un-writeable

Beautiful day for a drive in the countryside and a search for some missing convicts. They have definately perfected their hiding techniques lately!

The freshly clean shaven frog and his caching mates toured the back blocks of Wasley and Roseworthy chasing the hides of a convict. A convict! In South Australia! South Australia was settled convict free. We don't have convicts. Must be an escapee from Mexico or one of those other eastern states.

The tweezers came out at the first find and they never left the shirt pocket. The hides varied and the caching team with +40k finds between them struggled at many of the GZs. Where we found the caches the coordinates were good. The question was whether we were looking for a bug or grass? High or low? Bush or tree? Ground levle or elevated? Wet log or really wet log? The question was never small or large.

Taking geokids and geodog out on the last day of school holidays, a bit wet, windy and cold!! TFTC!

Headed out north for the Geocaching Get Outdoors Day with locus cache, Burtons and honeysucker to tackle some more of the Auzzie Convict series. Conditions werent the best with a lot of rain but we found more than we didnt this time out. TFTC.

Out for a fun day of caching with Locus, Firesafe and Honeysucker. Some of the caches are quite easy, while others are proving very challenging indeed. Lots of mud today.

We headed out to the auzzie convict's first series to try and score some of the DNFs and as yet unfound caches that we all had.
All up, I managed to locus cache at 21 of these and 1 other cache today with only 4DNFs
Even found a few that I had previously looked for and not found
Seemd to me that generally, the coords here were much better than they have been in some places

I joined the Gawler scouts and done some night time caching. These were really hard to find in the dark but a team effort helped. it was really fun but really cold TFTC

Found as part of the night hike with the Gawler scouts, not the most sensible time to try to find these caches but many eyes make easier work. TFTC

Thought I'd wet my feet and check out a few in the series today. Hmmmm, interesting.

Set out with my daughter to get our bench mark of 1000 caches chose this series because its close to my daughter`s home it proved more of a challenge than expected micros in the scrub just not my idea of a power trail thank you for the series Auzzie Convict

After a couple of days of rain and suffering a bit of cabin fever, we decided to join CPwanderer and Team707 on a caching trip to Roseworthy to attempt the auzzie convict's wild adventure series. It was a day of frustrating caching, exciting trips through boggy roads, a good lunch, and great company.

Unfortunately it wasn't the caching experience we were expecting as the strong winds and rain had dislodged some caches from the above ground hides, and the soursobs had made the ground caches more difficult than they should have been. Also some of the caches have had their bits pulled out making the ground ones even more difficult. On top of that we found that there were some caches that still had co-ordinate problems (including one of the new spots). We did our best but still ended up with 17 DNFs for the day which was pretty depressing caching when you spend so much time without reward.

We do acknowledge the effort and idea for the series. TFTC auzzie convict.

We hope that part of the cache has blown away as otherwise this is just ridiculously difficult. Found with amazing luck.

Joint FTF with Lapeelu. Found after getting multiple alerts on my phone with the publishing of a new power trail not far from home. What a great hide!!! TNLNSL. Thanks auzzie convict for the time and effort for the series.

Joint FTF with Lost Harts these caches realy bugged us very well hidden

The worst thing about a series is the same logs that are copied and pasted on all the caches. This was an interesting and challanging series with nano caches all the way. As they were all very much different in container or hide along it is classed as a series. This is by far the furthest thing away from a power trail. We took 5 hours for 17 FTF's, 10 DNF's out of 60 caches. A heap of silver, Bronze and even a tin.

Highlights of the trail was what was the next one going to be, the caterpillars, the Convoy, 17 FTF's and grabbing a live one by mistake.

This series will be great as it evolves and a few of the GPS GZ locations are updated as so many had us in the middle of the road. There were a few very accurate and some had us searching a fair bit for a nano is never fun. But overall we enjoyed our adventure and will have to return to do the rest.

Heading home towards Clare a detour on the way home, so close to our road home. Qucik find for Geodad with eagle eyes and a bright light with Geodaughter SILVER on this one tonight, but shall we do a couple more? yes why not. Car lights down the road in the distance we see Cachers, but now they are moving closer to us. Oh yes we see torches flickering in the Dark how close we will be meeting up at a cacher to find with in thee. So off we drive to another cache in the Dark of Night and Full moon. found at 6.38pm TFTC

I was interested in having a look at this series and Southern Cache joined me for an afternoon of caching.
At the first cache we were happy to come across the Mckee clan and joined forces with them.
Combined we have about 11000 finds and thought we would be up for the challenge.
We didnt find the first one but then we didnt really know what we were looking for.
By the third cache we had an idea what we were looking for but that didnt help us a lot of the time and we had 12 DNFs for the round trip.
We certainly found the placements quite challenging and at times searched up to 12 metres away from our GZ in hope of that elusive find.
Still we came away with 47 finds and were quite happy with that effort.
My thanks to SXC and Mckee clan for a fun afternoon of caching.
