This weekend is a mental health/selfish/me time weekend.
Headed to YP to do as I please which of course meant geocaching.
My plan was to ‘finish’ fishing . It and the geoart will be almost finished bar avenging some prior dnfs.
Was also keen to find some multis and visit a few places I haven’t been to before.
Mission accomplished in my happy place for the day. Only 2 dnfs. Sadly the Pies lost their Prelim final but we love to fight another day. Stansbury was a revelation to me the pub was brilliant.
All up around 130 found for the day.

Heading over to Yorke Peninsular with Sal for holiday after being cooped up with Covid protocols. [xx(] Rented a house right on the fore shore at Point Turton for a few nights and had a family function to attend on the Saturday night. Might even get to do a cache or two.
Today was a ripper of a day after the cold and overcast yesterday. [^] Yesterday was cut short after a bloody mishap - Typical. [B)] But that was now properly bandaged and I wasn't likely going to leave DNA at every cache. [^] Should I return and continue the boat series? Nope I had to go to Warooka so Sal could help preparations for tonight's family function. So Gone Fishin' was the order for today. Today I managed 30 or so without incident before I used up the available time and it was time to head back. Although all were found - Solo caching sucks! But first I detoured down this no thru road to find this cache. - as you do. Cache also quickly found in the first place I looked I dropped of a TB. [^][^]
***Thanks Tk2 for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Couldn’t find access last time now I know why, I tried to come from the west as the map said I could today I approached from the east and cache was found and is all good
With 2.5 days free and nothing to do, what better than to head to the yorke peninsula for a few days. I made a plan of trying to clean up majority of the caches on the peninsula going from cache to cache. Managed to come away with only a few left and 247 finds for the few day trip.
Thanks for the cache

Wandered down the big boot with froghoppin today to see what we could catch.
A personal record number of caches it seemed, along with a few interesting wildlife friends along the way! Several caches had spiders, one with a nice red pin stripe, one had a baby brown snake hiding under a nearby rock, a few bunnies, and lots of evidence of mice. These caches sure are as tasty as a bait bucket, 'cos quite a few are well chewed One wonders what might come out in springtime to eat all the well fed mice
This one was such a relief from the never ending fishing line nearby! A no through road - and still we were passed by a massive truck heading in there. Left a trackable here - it wouldn't fit in any of the other nearby caches
Much thanks to Tk2 for placing this cache on our map (before they became popular down here!!!)
The roads home proved interesting too, with sightings of possum, roos, fox, bunnies, mice again, and a sheep dog to mix it up a bit!!!

This cache was found and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or sometimes with just plain old dumb luck!

Do stay safe when caching.
Watch for snakes, random cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and lightning,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins... but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure Travel Bugs are the only ones you share and pass on
2020 turned into 2020won, and 2020too is on the way! 2020free should see us through
Still important to observe social distancing when possible, (150 nano caches apart should do it)
Still important to wash your hands (always has been really [:o)]
Still very important to look after each other and take precautions & get checked out for even the tiniest sniffle or cough, or unexpected headache! [8)] [B)]
Still even more important to get some fresh air and exercise while we can, so get out and cache the country!
Thanks so much to all those placing caches out and about away from the city crowds,
keeps our game safe and interesting
[:o)]

The Easter break. Thanks for the cache.
Hi there Tk2.
We found your cache **"'Hoss' or is it 'Little Joe", but it's BONANZA."** at 11:31:00 AM today.
This was our 11th find for the day and this makes our find count 13738.
The sun was out today - a great day for caching, so our cache run today started at a random one near our camp site in Yorketown. We then navigated to the one the GPS said was next closest etc, & ended up finding 15 & DNFing 1 today.
Unfortunately the day didn't turn out as planned, a kangaroo jumped out and broke our LH headlight, which to replace would normally cost a bit over $2k (so the quote says). [:(!] Luckily the insurance excess isn't anywhere near that.
###Thanks for not placing an eclipse tin or a 200ml Sistema here. Once upon a time caches seemed to be "regular" sized, and well stocked with goodies for kids to swap. Nowadays it seems like every other cache is small and devoid anything to induce children to enjoy the hunt. It made us feel really good to find this cache in a "special" place.###
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** Container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Today was day seven of the ahomburg and sharkiefan 2015 road trip to South Australia. We managed to find all but one of the geoart over the last three days, so we had some unfinished business with Sammy Starfish 20. we also wanted to check out Innes National park and surrounding area, followed by some areas further north east in the Yorktown region and surrounds. We managed to pick up many Traditionals, a couple of Multis, the all important Mystery cache for the Souvenir on offer and even found an Archived cache in our Travels. Despite a bit of rain over the day, had a fantastic time, almost covering the whole lower part of the peninsula. Definitely the last one, we were both getting hungry. A quick find once we finally got to GZ.

Found with Ahomburg on our last day in the Yorke Peninsula. We are just taking it easy today and are driving around collecting finds where we want to. Tftc
Found at 11:12 AM in the company of Alansee, DiMorgan and maccamob - we signed our names in the log book as "DAMP".
We were hoping that we took the right road to get to this cache approaching it from the east - as the road on our map showed that Cartwrights Rd didn't go all the way through - and we were right [^]
As we were approaching the cache we were recounting the many episodes that we had seen in our youth and then the names of the characters. Couldn't remember the cook!
Thanks Tk2.

Found by Mary & David, in company with Di Morgan, Alansee and pprass (signed as DAMP), at 1045. Now we understand the cache name connection. We well remember that show from the early days of TV. Our thanks to Tk2.
After completing the geo art we continued our day in the MOzzie Flats to Edithburg.
Today we travelled with Alansee, Maccamob & pprass we signed that we had not all found as DAMP. This was such as enjoyable day out.
As we made our way to this cache we sang the theme song. What a great TV show it was.

After finding GC5GQQ9 we headed out to look for this cache. We laughed when we saw the name of the road. It explained the name of the cache although there did not appear to be a Ponderosa at its end.
We found the well stocked cache in its hide and after signing the log took some photos of the beautiful gnarled old tree guarding the cache.
The cache and contents were in very good condition.
Thanks Tk2 for the cache and for a very enjoyable caching experience.

On approaching this area we noted the name of the road and immediately figured we were on the right track. It was a very warm day and after getting out of the car and approaching GZ a stumpy lizard reared up and hissed, scaring the daylights out of GeoAJ. There was a very prickly thorn bush acting as cache guardian too. The container was empty of any swaps so we added some. Thanks for bringing us here.
After doing the Fishy Tale caches the week before and had such a great time on the peninsula, we see there are many caches scattered all over the place so we decided to spend a couple of days here cleaning up all the caches here, many roads were travelled with some awesome views along the coastline, the weather was just right for us and along the way we saw quite a few sleepy lizards but no snakes, we look forward to getting the other caches on the peninsula as it is such a beautiful spot here. Ben was there when we arrived. He said Where's the gold partner.

Spent 4 days on Yorke Penisnula in attempt to try and clear the map again and once again I failed, looks like another trip is needed.
Most of the time I travelled alone but caught up with locus cacher, CPWanderer, Laughside Legend and Dr Owl on the Saturday.
Clocked up around 1000 kilometres and did some amazing walks with spectactular views. Thanks to all the cache hiders.

5am...who starts caching at 5am[?] That's get home from caching time!
Apparently CPwanderer starts at 5am and so we left my house at that time, locus cache'd all day and returned at about 12.30am the following morning after a tally of 47 smileys
Picked up Laighside Legends and then met up with firesafe and Doctor Owl and family at Warooka for a laugh filled, scenic adventure in the bottom of YP and Innes National Park.
Having never been this far down YP before, I was constantly amazed by the gorgeous scenery and views on a warm day filled with blue skies and even bluer water [^]
I was still half asleep here and it seems there is more than one right hand turn to this cache...yep, u-turn involved and Harry does not turn as well as those horses used to!
Still, the cache was a bonanza for us

Owl didn’t get the joke, but that could be because Firesafe had the cache lying open and ready to sign by the time the stragglers in the convoy arrived after a false turn.
Found while staying at Wool Bay for the week, heading off each day to find a few caches on YP. Today's aim was to find all the new caches in the Warooka area. Was not disappointed getting scratched at a Tk2 cache, even if by a different type of plant. Thanks Tk2!
Our map indicated that we could enter to this cache from the north, south, east or west. Unfortunately one direction had a gate, another entered a farmer's property, the third road didn't exist and the final road was a Bonanza!!!! Thanks for the adventure, maybe we should have taken a horse!
Found It!
That's quite a substantial road to nowhere! No troubles getting to GZ at 6:30pm in the dark!
