Happy to log this??We are making our way through the towns of the YP, while house sitting. I dont know how manyBBBs weve done or DNF, but they do frighten me. No injuries this time
I figured I may as well give this one a shot. My history with these have been hit and miss. Today it was a hit. TFTC
Found by taking the path from below, which was probably the intention.Cache looks very old, just hanging in there, but doing its job.The attached photo is the cache guardian - he didn't do his job very well.TFTC
Struck it gold today with a beautiful winters day. Out exploring in the surrounds from Maitland with iluvtrekking. Normally avoid these hides but gave it a go today. Thanks for the hide.
A quick morning caching around Pine Point before the rain had us deciding to head back to the dry van
We got quite wet and our boots got very muddy getting to this one. The container was badly dented and open but Mr sylken managed to straighten it out a bit and attach the lid as much as possible.
Many thanks for the hide Tk2

Staying a couple of nights in Ardrossan for a geocaching trip in multiple towns across the Yorke Peninsula, with a few new hides along the way.
Day 2: The main day of Goldy's trip gaining some smileys in southern Ardrossan, then visiting the towns and localities of James Well, Pine Point, Port Julia, Port Vincent, Yorketown, Minlaton, Curramulka, Sheaoak Flat, Tiddy Widdy Beach, Paskeville, Willamulka, Alford, Kadina and Cunliffe.
Goldy's first multiple day trip for the primary mission of finding and hiding caches was a good one. 63 caches found by 26 different COs, 875+ kilometres driven, 21 towns visited and 14 caches hidden.
Luckily this cache was quickly spotted so I could spend as little time as possible here as I hate those plants.
Signed with stamp.
Caches found with assistance from Goldy's geocaching box, containing various items such as tools of the trade, containers, spare log books and zip lock bags of various sizes.
Tweezers, torches and a magnetic grabber tool are always on hand for necessary cache retrieval.
As well as a first aid kit and gloves for when things get messy.
pineapplegoldy acknowledges the Narangga people, Traditional Custodians of the land on which I geocache today, and pay my respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
Thanks Tk2 for this cache.

Found on my one week's lovely and interesting YP caching odyssey. One of the few BBB's I have found. Thanks BBB.
A short stop here today, managed to find the cache nicely hidden and all is well
With 2.5 days free and nothing to do, what better than to head to the yorke peninsula for a few days. I made a plan of trying to clean up majority of the caches on the peninsula going from cache to cache. Managed to come away with only a few left and 247 finds for the few day trip.
Thanks for the cache

The cache was soon located & retrieved without too much fuss, the logbook was signed & dated before being returned back to its hiding spot.

It was time for another Thursday trek with Sushilord, SA Sewer Rats and JJ52. On a whim they decided to head to the Yorke and try and pick up a FTF or two. They got two, so the obvious response was more caching! Normally Owl avoids these caches, but she was assured it was easy. Expectations of something harder fooled her, but the Fish came up with the goods.
Another caching day out was organised with Doctor Owl, sushilord and Mrs SA Sewer Rats and as we had seen a few new caches published overnight we decided to head over to Yorke Peninsula to try and get a couple of them. After we had successfully FTF two multis it was time to get a few other caches on our trip around the peninsula. [^]
I have had a bit of success with BBB caches recently so I was hopeful of finding this one when we stopped. Read a couple of logs and the cache was spotted on the first circuit of the prickly plant. No blood was spilled making the retrieval.
Thanks for the cache BBB.

As we wander the great land seeing the sights, this is one of the caches we have done.
Thanks to Tk2 for placing the cache for us to find.

A long weekend with a massive amount of geocache finds in the Yorke Peninsula! The weekend was filled with a loong day of the fishing line power trail, followed by a subsequent day of the geoart at the peninsula bottom. I managed to squeeze in a night scuba dive, and then it was a slow return home finding a few geocaches on the way. An unexpected enjoyable weekend than what I thought it would be, with great company from locals Munja and skuzzybear, and visiting Kiwis mar1sa and the Seagnoid.
The original plan for today was to continue/complete the geoart at the bottom of Yorkes, but I think everyone had had enough with the monotony of getting in/out of cars with little scenery and ongoing repetition, that we decided to take it slowly back up the peninsula. It was an early-ish start from 8:00 hr, as we wanted to beat the crowds back heading home from the long weekend. Geocaches were collected along the main coastal road (or just off it), with a small detour visiting Black Point to collect those caches and having a FTF. I then said goodbye to the team as I drove skuzzybear back to her car in Kadina, and then collected a few strategic oldie caches on the return back to Adelaide. Unfortunately I was waiting in heavy traffic for a duration of 30 min at the dreaded Port Wakefield turn-off due to the time spent in the morning collecting caches, but otherwise, the return drive back went without incident. The weather was kind to us with an enjoyable morning, and then raining (and cleaning!) my car once I had arrived home.
I thought we could show the international kiwis an example of our Big Bad Bradley caches, that were quite common over in Yorke Peninsula. We parked nearby to this one, and made the walk through the scrubland. In the end, Mar1sa made the quick-ish find here - hmm, that wasn't too hard at all. We needed to pry the container open, so this geocache may need a CO check and maintenance in the near future. Thanks BBB aka Tk2 for the placement and ongoing maintenance.

The end of the Kiwis and Aussies trip on the York Peninsula had finally come to an end and rising early we began to make our way back to Adelaide. Like any good caching trip, we slowly cached our way home. Despite the greying weather it was a good drive back home, with traffic not presenting us with too much of a problem. An enjoyable and relaxing way to finish what was a fantastic trip. All logs were signed as KaA (Kiwis and Aussies).

Ihad no idea what a Big Bad Bradley is. And all I gout think of was bad, bad Leroy Brown, the baddest man in the whole damn town, badder than old King Kong, and meaner than a junkyard dog.
Not far off as it turns out. Looks like a bradley is the same thing as a standard New Zealand flax hunt, except that a bradley bites back. Why is it called a bradley? It is an agave. Man, those flower stalks! Dry and dead at the moment, they must be amazing when in flower. Anyway, the cache was not too difficult a find. Was easier than most flax hunts, but then I do not normall have as many people with me at a flax bush!
After spending the night in Stansbury after a couple of over-the-top days in the Yorke Peninsula targeting the geoart, Team KAA are heading north - the rush is on! To relieve a cache of its empty logbookness. Got that, now heading back to Adelaide. Thank goodness for the cooler weather! That 42 degrees we had earlier was just too much.
Team KAA (Kiwis and Aussies) are Skuzzybear, the Seagnoid, Munja, Mar1sa, David and Kris.

Geopartner wasn't going to let this one go. GPS had him circling and bush bashing. I gave up then heard a voice not far away: I need a pen so I followed his voice to make the cache entry. Thanx
This was a BBB that we found with ease, now that has to be a change does it not. SL TFTC
Today we explored Port Vincent and then travelled to Port Julia and Black Point and finished at Pine Point using Geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way and this was one of them. An easy find at GZ.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

At last, a quick find on one of these caches. Mogni had it in hand within 30 seconds. Yay. Unfortunately the log was wet and needs maintenance. We were not near our vehicle so couldn't do anything. A new log and plastic bag is needed. TFTC.
First BBB cache for us the log book was very wet and the tin was hard to open tftc we look forward to doing some more
Found after the June LWE. A beautiful calm sunny morning, perfect for caching. The small clear container appears to have rusted into a medium crusty tin, Log book damp but signable . Thanks for bringing us here!
Found it after JLW. Container is metal. Log book quite wet. Spiky spot! Thanks for the cache.
Ouch. I took advice and took my umbrella. Found it. Couldn't get the lid off had to scratch my name in the container as others have done TFTH
Found AND retrieved by our ELF!!!!
Wow! Our first and maybe only BBB but we are none the worse fit wear thanks to a brolly!

I've been having mixed results chasing BBB caches recently [:o]
Sometimes I leave after a short search with a DNF
Sometimes I leave after a long search with a DNF
Sometimes I leave half way through searching,
after stabbing meself and losing blood,
with a DNF
This BBB cache differed from the recent trend that was developing.
After an enjoyable walk along a walking trail up the gully,
and an enjoyable scramble up the steep side of said gully,
I found this cache in less than a minute,
with no blood loss
BBB must have been having an off day when they hid this one

The long weekend presented the perfect opportunity for my wige (Tounga) and I to plan a quick get away.
So, we booked some accommodation in Moonta and decided to cache the upper Yorke Peninsula.
We had a great time, finding 129 geocaches in all.
Thanks for hinding your cache Tk2, we enjoyed it.
I apologise for the generic log.

Heading home with a couple of muggle mates from Sheoak Flat when I suggested we give this a try. I was half way through warning them to be careful when one called "Found it!!"..... They now have very distorted views as to the difficulties of most BBB caches! Thanks Tk2 for the hide!!
Another great find on a geocaching trip around the area.

Have bypassed any BBB caches lately. But today most of our wounds from the 4 we have done have healed and we were ready to start inflicting pain upon ourselves once again.
This one was found without any loss of blood. What a miracle!
I am going to google the status of these nasty things soon. In this area there were hundreds of little ones. I am curious as to whether they are a native or a weed.
Thanks.

After meeting up with Alansee at Two Wells we traveled together to Port Vincent where we were meeting up with micaparamedic, of course we were grabbing a few caches along the way.
We pulled up and again we decided on a quick search and followed the GPSr to gz where we found the easiest cache of our trip so far. Retrieving it was still a little difficult but we managed to add our names o the log without blood loss.
Thanks again for the cache.
