Found by The Noodler. I have spent many days working at this place, crushing gold ores from various mines in the region with the 10 head gravity stamp battery housed in the nearby building. TFTC
I was in luck as I approached GZ I could clearly see something there that didn't belong and yes it was the cache. Signed the log and covered it up better (sorry next cacher). TFTC
Left the van in the RV park and spent the afternoon collecting smilies. Had to wait for a lady out walking to move on. One of those times when a torch would have been handy.
Took the GC
Thanks chrispy89

Out and about today, with the geovan parked up opposite the rail museum. Last night, we did the light and sound show at the museum, this morning, did the tour, then went for a drive to find an abandoned tunnel, a sports ground, a welcome sign, a dog, a man called greg and some gold.
No gold here, but six cache finds today, I think I stuck gold. thanks chrispy 89

Think the campers in the vicinity thought we were up to mischief with this one! Few anxious moments when we found the cache as the hidey hole looked to be inhabited by the slithery kind of wildlife, all good however TFTC
Heading home after a weekend at Willangi Bush Escapes north of Peterborough 4WDing and camping away from phone coverage, grabbing caches along the way. TFTC.
Away in Peterborough for a caching weekend with the SnappyomCats and we stopped to grab this one.

Up from the Barossa for the weekend with the travellinbees for a fun weekend of caching. After settling in at the Motel we headed out to do a few before dinner. FINALLY!! We managed to find one that isn't on a train!! Didn't find any gold though...TFTC
Catching up on a few late logs (something not that unusual for me). As always, I enjoyed the journey to find the cache, mostly I have been in the company of Team Crackers, maccamob, alansee and the Coffee's, but occasionally I have gone out solo to soak in the solitude of being out in the fresh air.
Thanks chrispy89 for placing this cache.

We have returned from Canada to discover a few more Australian caches! What a great way to explore the Land Down Under" ...
Was right where it should have been.
Thanks for the fun chrispy89!

Cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for a fun cache guys. Love your work. We signed the logbook. Warning this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise.

Travelling to Stanthorpe for the mega event via Orroroo, Peterborough, Broken Hill, Cobar, Lightning Ridge. Great to find this well hidden cache and showing us more of the area. Thanks to chrispy89.
A bit awkward to get to, but a quick find nevertheless. Cache #2106. Removed the lollipop as there shouldn't be food in a cache, against the guideline.

3:37:00 PM. Continuing our road trip to SA and on to WA. No rush just grabbing caches along the way. Makes for slow going sometimes. The better half found this one. Thought our luck was running out. Now to head back out of town and make camp for the night. Thanks chrispy89 for placing this cache.
Geokid7 took geodad for a quick find after the family visited the railway museum nearby. TFTC.
Working in the Mid North this week, heading from Orroroo to Peterborough for work at the Hospital. After setting my equipment up at the Hospital it was time for another cache. Quick find. TFTC
when I spent a few years in Peterborough I was too young to know anything about gold, I might have to ask my elder brother if he knows anything about gold. cheers. MODU.
We searched so ling at the GZ but found nothing. Then a resort to a previous log was if assistance. All good now. Thanks Chrispy
Peterborough has proved to be a most interesting place and these geocaches have given us an insight into the history of the area Thanks for the journey
I arrived at the site just before a passing goods train
That kept me distracted for a goodly 10 minutes .... crikey !! That was a long train !!
Another 10 minutes of looking did not find me a cache
So I gave up on this one so as not to overdose on any residual cyanide that might be still in the soil
As I was leaving I randomly looked under something that was lying around and found the cache [:o]
So much for 'the obvious place' theory [^]

Thanks for teaching us something new. After a search in the more-likely places, the container was spotted in plain sight just sitting in the open. Right on cue, just as we were replacing it in a better spot, a 2-diesel & 46 flatcar freight-train rumbled past.
AHHH there you are ,that wasn't to hard ....all good n dry TFTC
Camped over in the paddock .....plenty of room ...camped the otherside last time here ,but this is okay ..
lucky we can free camp. so close to town ....

We have been to Peterborough several times, but never knew this was here - another geocaching gem. It's a wonder they don't develop it as a tourist spot seeing they have done such a fabulous job of Steamtown. Thanks for showing us chrispy
Found on a family visit. Passed Red Mustang as we approached, like ships on the night! TNLN. TFTC
We had just lunched at the Old Cinema. Great meal.
Found this one, and seen some friendly folks passing by...waving `Therainbowteam.`
