Continuing on with my well earned 2 week break and after staying in Rochester, Hay then White Cliffs for the night it was time to do a very big 9hr 800km detour to get me back on track as all of the roads north of White Cliffs are closed due to all of the recent rain.Im heading to Cunnamulla so to be able to head west again. For all of the trips I have done up this way this will be the first time I have travelled on this section of the Barrier Hwy.Not much traffic at this time of the morning so it is nice and easy to pull over to look for these ones.It is also great to pull over to break up the drive and to also find a cache. No tree left so hats here either but was able to locate the cache. Thanks farmer-brown TFTC.
Been working around Canungra for a couple of months and on the road back home to Manda in Adelaide. Wa raining too much to hop out when I went past a while back so stopped here for a quick cache grab on the way past.No tree but cords are spot on. Cache in good nick but in need of a new log.TFTC
#19582 - 11:20:00 AM; Day three of a road trip taking the long way to Adelaide from the National Capital with the geohoney. Spent the night in Cobar, and after an early caching run around the town to collect a few more we were now on the road for Broken Hill. After reaching Central Darling, I had a couple of park and grabs loaded in the GPSr to cross another LGA off the "to do" list, including this one. The initial search was fruitless, but reading an earlier log and the hide was soon located and the log signed. Didn't have any spare logs with me, as the logsheet here is starting to fall apart and should be replaced. TFTC farmer--brown
A quick find here, cache is all goodHeaded over to the Capital GeoBash in Canberra, ACT with Freddo over 5 days, travelling through the central part of NSW before caching around the hinterlands. A nice few days over with great weather. Thanks for the cache
Freddo and Team Waldron headed to warmer climes around Broken Hill, Cobar, Bourke, Cunnamulla
and Charleville.
After a cold start in Broken Hill the weather improved once we got further north. Sadly our last night in Broken was wet which, pardon the pun, put a dampener on things.
All up it was a great week away and lots of caches were found with only 3 dnfs.
Thanks to all who placed and maintained their caches. The occasional cache was damaged and we refurbished it and we also left new logbooks as required.

Found at GZ. There is no hat tree any more.
Freddo and Team Waldron are heading north for a long delayed trip to the caching fields of Cunnamulla. This cache was found on our journey. Caches were fixed where necessary. Fresh log books added. Containers refreshed.
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

Found It!
Not sure where the tree is. I searched a nearby bush but didn't find a cache. Then I eventually found it on the ground amongst the grass and under some rocks.

No, not a fan of this one. Coordes had me in the middle of a grassy area without any obvious trees around. But I did manage to find it. TFTC.

Together with my son, I am on a camping trip from Sydney to Broken Hill and back. On our 3000 km journey over 11 days we have seen some wonderful little towns, beautiful landscapes and many interesting geocaches.
The next leg of our travels: Cobar to Broken Hill. Of course we used geocaches to stop for a stretch of the ol' legs.
Parking on the road shoulder towing a camper trailer is a bit hairy. The hat tree was not what I expected, but another cache done!

While travelling through the area we picked up a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
Caches and contents were very good.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Hmm...no hats ... had to go back to car to read previous logs and get GPS for this one. Long wet grass made for wet boots.
We are on a 2 month trip from Portland via the Mundi Mundi Bash to a wedding in Brisbane and then out west for QOGM in Charleville.
Today we are travelling from Wilcannia after staying at the caravan park for hot showers, flushing toilets and to top up the water tanks. Its the first time we have had a chance to find some caches so we enjoyed this stretch of road.

We had planned a road trip to Queensland to visit family in 2021, but our travel plans were stalled due to border closures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that the world was trying to get back to a semi normal state, we decided to have another go at getting away from the cold and head up north for some sunshine and warmth. After spending the night in Hillston, day 2 took us out to far reaches of NSW, stopping to grab a few smileys along the way to break up the straight roads. A lot of wildlife came across our path some literally, plenty of emu, birds, and sheep with lambs to keep us amused. Our apologies for the generic log, but thank you to all the cache owners for the placements.
There are not many hats here, they must be popular and people are keeping them. SL TFTC

Another park, cross, run a further 70 metres then find and log. The hats are looking a touch sad and the whole concept of the tree looks like litter. Not sure it’s a good thing anymore. Tftc
Slowly making our way to Broken Hill and Silverton trying to avoid Covid and the localised flooding around the country.

We started towards a tree we thought was hat tree but saw a bra and mangled mens briefs so determined it was the underwear tree. So we looked and saw the hat tree nearby. Gremlinkid #1 found this one. TFTC.
Day 7 of our road trip already, today we leaving Broken Hill for a long drive to Dubbo. Not that many caches on the way and that's good, because 40° does not make good caching weather!

This cache was a little more out in the open and needs a bit of love. Sorry nothing with us to help with that today.
Stopped in here as part of our Great Western County Hunt. It has been a truly incredible trip, as I managed to pick up the last four counties I needed to fill in my NSW county map. A super exciting thing to complete. Thanks for enabling our crazy adventures. Thanks for the cache.

West New South Wales trip 2020. Day 3. I was joined by MinnieK and Fitzy_1965 for a trip planned to go from Goulburn to Forbes, Nyngen, Cobar, Broken Hill, Wentworth and Balranald. Today we left Cobar having found all the local caches yesterday. It was a long straight drive to Broken Hill with a few caches scatterd along the way, plus a dual multi in Wilcannia along with a short sharp outback rainshower. We ended the day with an evening tour of Earthcaches around Broken Hill.
Along the road to Broken hill we made several road side stops for caches, some at decorated trees.
Thanks for the cache farmer--brown

Here is a blurb about us
We are trying to get a badge ,the author ,from project GC for writing found log files of 100 words or more. Once we get this badge we will stop writing this. We are also trying to get badges for adding photos to our found logs .
We started caching in December 2019 and by January 2020 we were hooked. As we are on the road full-time, living in a caravan for almost 2 years now, caching fits in well with this lifestyle. It is taking us to places that we would normally not have gone. When we move to a new place we also look at what caches are in the area and how many days we will need to be there in order to get the caches we want.
We are in Cobar for a few days and will try to get some caches in town and surrounding areas. We hope we can make a few smilies here to add to our find tally. We are looking forward to the variety of hides we will encounter. Thank you for your work in placement and ongoing effort for maintenance of caches.

Time for a little trip in to the outback of New South Wales. A bit of a holiday and if you are on a holiday you cannot drive past a cache without collection some on the way. I had my Geo Chauffer driving me around to collect some cache.
This cache does NEED a container it was there but was only a bag with the log. I did not have anything to put it in sorry. I did not need a hat as I had my own so did not take one, thanks anyways.
We found the cache, signed the log, replaced it back in its little hiddy hole, then on with our adventure to find the next one. Now we have logged it.
Thanks for placing the cache her guys. LilDonna

With GreyHams we set out on a new adventure, driving from Adelaide to Sydney via broken Hill and Bourke... with side trips in all directions as the caches lead us. Four days with a number of target caches along the way, although shires, oldies and virtuals were our priority with many others of interest too.
From the lush green of South Australia into the dry outback of NSW, contrast, scenic and interesting. With GreyHams trip planning we traveled along easily as he drove and navigated and chattered! Never a dull moment through the stark and barren land which was completely fascinating.
So many odd locations to be seen, as well as emus, kangaroos, birds, a desert horse and so many teeny tiny little goats! So many goats... I did love those goats! The dry and barren made way for more substantial lands as we drove closer towards the end of the trip, the trees returned, the hills and finally those little goats... Yay!
About 2500km, 29 shires, 4 virtuals, a number of oldies and some nice walks and places visited along the way. The locals and little towns memorable, the lands and rivers dry and sad but a great trip as we traveled along from cache to cache.
Thanks for your cache to help guide us through our travels, apologies for the generic log, If I had more to add its below this.
Another odd spot to add to the fun.

Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.
Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.
Sorry for the late and generic log, something I am notorious for. Thank you farmer--brownfor adding to the adventure that is geocaching.

After leaving The Drovers in Broken Hill micaparamedic and myself carried on toward Yowah for a catch up with friends, of course grabbing the occasional cache along the way.
This was our next after leaving the Bear Tree and was quite a bit different. We often wonder why these things start and how they seem to grow. This one has an off shoot in an undie tree as well, we didn't check that one out too closely.
The cache was again a nice easy find right where the GPS was pointing and the log book now contains our names.
Thanks yet again farmer-brown for another tree stop to break up our drive.
