Ive signed this one this morning, however, Im not sure if I qualify as yet.Just after replacing the cache the local farmer came along and said I know what you are doing I had a bit of a chat to him before heading to the event to retire the HSS series today

Signed on the 16/1/22 in Wangaratta for the Mega. Picked up a variety of caches. Didnt quality on the day, but had my eye of a few local caches to get us over the line.! Just a short jaunt around North VIC this week, squeezing in some time for dedicated caching before I go back to work. I don’t qualify for this one yet but thought I’d sign it as we were passing by to collect another cache

I signed this challenge some time ago in November 2020 and have been stuck for caches with a CO starting with Z. Everytime I would look at others lists, the caches used had been archived or were interstate. I recently took another look and discovered some ZombieDogs caches in Frankston. So yesterday I set off to try and finally finish off this challenge.

Will the logs all submitted, the checker is now super happy and this challenge is now complete!

Was motivated by a few challenge caches after my last visit to Wangaratta, even though I didn’t expect to be back anytime soon. However, attending this weekend’s mega changed that and I was able to tick off several I’d determined I could qualify for. With two Zs in my caching name, always on the look out for this rare letter so had a few options in my stats to choose from.

Today our main focus was around the HSS caches and completing most of the series where possible. A great series with some different cache hides

A short stop here today cache was easily found and is all good

After heading to tassie for almost 3 weeks, we detoured to Wangaratta for the Victorian Mega to catch up with some friends that we hadn’t seen for months if not years. We caught up with Freddo and e.gregory1 for the duration of the weekend, travelling around the local areas finding many of the caches that were on offer. To save room in the log books we signed as FEG or FEGC.
A wonderful area and nice to have a look around in somewhere I had only visited for 20mins before.

Headed south with my caching mates, steeba, Hoojar and Wilbert to attend the on, off, on again COVID restricted Wangaratta Mega event...... credit to the organisers for persisting.

With us having limited time in the area, we tried to pack as much as we could into each day. From Glenrowan, to Beechworth, to Mrytleford, to Warby Ovens NP, to the streets of Wangaratta, we seemed to be on the go all the time. While the weather was too hot for caching at times we often found relief by cooling off in the river.
We found so many different types of caches, its a credit to all the CO's for providing the caches for everyone to find, whether they were new or old placements, we had a great time in Wang.

Day 6 of my road trip and Day 2 of my Wangaratta MEGA event. Today I teamed up with Domsky and we spent the day trekking around the countryside. We spent a lot of time playing basketball and then headed up to Beechworth for a break and some lunch. Then it was back to the basketball and a few others as we passed by. What a great series of caches and some absolutely stunning countryside. Thank you so much for placing these here I have really enjoyed another day in this area.
It was a fun day and many laughs, it was also nice to have the variety in the caches. I am so overwhelmed by the views and the countryside feel around this area.

We signed all logs as domsky and chamad and replaced caches as we found them. There was a nice variety in the caches we found today, which just added to the fun of the day, thanks.

The lure of a couple of extra icons (Maze and Locationless) meant that I was more keen than normal to attend a Mega Event. Covid issues asside, a plan was hatched, rehatched, changed and finalised to attend for a few days in Victoria with Steeba, Wilbert67 and The Rats. Another trip away like countless others that we have done before, and yet totally different, thanks to Covid.

The caches were excellent. The company, as always, fantastic. We find more than our fair share of Adventure Labs, as well as complting a few series. I think we walked away with 300 finds, not a bad haul. The laughs were endless, but that is to be expected on trips away like this.

Thanks so much to all of the cache hiders, and especially to the event organisers. I cannot imagine the hoops that you had to keep jumping through to get this off the ground. A special thank you for bringing the Maze Down Under!

Well, well, well - we actually qualify. Now to sign the log.

It is ages since Pa and I had a serious day's caching and it was great. Although more a muggle than a cacher Pa soon settled into his role as chauffeur, tree climber and successful finder when I couldn't. Thanks Pa.

I had mapped out a route that mainly involved HSS but knowing that I couldn't possibly get them all I cherry picked the ones I wanted. I included some others too but had a DNF on one of them.

After about 35 finds we relaxed a bit and enjoyed stops for morning tea and lunch which was fabulous overlooking Bates Dam after completing Once I was a Pub. By this time I was already wishing that I was at one.

The day continued around the loop until we were back in Everton where we rewarded ourselves with icecreams.

Had a couple of hours to try and get the last caches for the current peak challenge so headed back to Beechworth. Aim was a long (though I hadn’t realised) solved challenge and then collect the group around Diffeys Road. In the end I had to make a slight detour to achieve the required target but got there in the end.

This wax the first one - I hadn’t realised I had achieved the challenge before my adventures at Zig Zag in Mt Pilot. Wet grass at GZ didn’t stop me finding and signing the cache.

Having signed this log on 5/6/2015 to be able to finally log it has been a long time coming.

We do so love a Challenge cache and so on route between St Arnaud and Sydney following on from a thoroughly enjoyable Mega Event we simply had to come and search for this one. The cache was quickly located once at Ground Zero and log book signed. After camping on the Murray at Doolan’s Bend last night, I slowly made my way to Beechworth, visiting some interesting spots and grabbing a few selected caches along the way. Today was my fourth day on the road after leaving Adelaide to travel to Tasmania via country Victoria.

It was another great day, albeit a little warm, and I enjoyed a couple of walks and rewarding cache finds along the way, including some interesting challenge caches.
