Alas I ended up having work for a few days so couldn't make it.
Time to archive, since the event was 4 weeks ago, and thus I can finally get it off my "Close to home" list.

Mr Scoobster arrived late for this one during a work break, but still had time to have a quick drink with the squeaky man and a couple of others.

Enjoyed another great pub lunch at an old venue. My first ever event cache was held here, where I 'accidentally' ran into a (then) work colleague who I never knew was a cacher. Whatever happened to Miss Jane, I wonder? Thanks for organising the event Sushilord!

It was my party and I'll log an attend if I want too.

What a great crowd, plenty of familiar faces and loads of new faces attending. From the sounds of it I've got myself a new job: Pub lunch/dinner organiser.

My vote is for them to continue, and the new (old) venue is a winner as well. A good refresh from the old, slightly dingier pub to the bright new open bar and kitchen. Now all we need to do is get them to run the 2 schnitties and a jug for $20 again like the previous owners!

We still didn't manage the 100+ crowd that we used to get for a pub lunch, but still a very good lunch time turn up.

Which reminds me, we still have to go for a paddle with Fredd0 from a previous event at the pub

With a 4 hour break between appointments thought I'd look to see what was happening in caching land. Saw the event and being close by gave Mr Parrot a call to see if he wanted to go. We both attended and enjoyed a nice lunch and a chat. Thanks Sushi

Nice to be back at this establishment for the Pub Lunch - pretty sure with this turnout it won't be the last either. The curried vegetables on my Sri Lankan dish turned out to be….. Boiled Beetroot. What the?

Other than that is was great to have another city gathering, albeit I have a preference for night time dinners rather than lunch time events.

Oh dear, turned up far to late as most had already left, but got to say hello to small crowd, SushiLord, Dr Owl, Sneaky and some others. Let's hope it continues and thanx for organising.

What a yummy lunch, it was nice to get to attend at lunch time, I believe Mr. Sushilord.... you have the baton? Great to see the SA tradition continue, one other places are rather envious of.

Only my 2nd pub lunch for the year but it was a big one! Great to catch up with a number of cachers who I haven't seen since the last city pub lunch in February! I think it's certainly an event that we need to keep going! Oh, and cache number 3600 for me too!

Alas a cold had me home from work & missing pub lunches. Maybe it's from all the caching in bad weather?! Hope to get to the next one

Lovely spot to cache up with a caching group of people. I cached some the lunch in my beard and enjoyed a snack later in the day. Welcome to all of the new people and fond hello to all the rest.

Another great Pub Lunch and it was good to see Barra make one .

Another great Pub Lunch event at a new (but old) location. Food was good. Prices were good. Company was good. Future Pub Lunches here are good.

I even managed to annoy a couple of puzzle cache owners and get some hints on where I'm stuck.

Let's hope that it isn't the last hurrah as, on the few occasions that I can get to a lunch (the downside to not working in the city), I always have a great time!
Really enjoyed the great food, fantastic people and geocaching conversations...life doesn't get any better than this!
Afterwards, of course, there were caches to find so Doctor Owl, Laighside Legends and darksidelemm and I headed out to find them.

As usual, Owl had a great time and hopes these things continue. She met some new cachers, caught up with some old, chatted, laughed, managed to get further hints for every cache in her ‘stumped’ file, and then cached on with Locuscache, Laighside Legends and Darksidelemm. Thanks for organising it.

Thought I had replied.. 1 from the Flipper's Gayle is going to do the pub lunch on this occasion.

I've increased the booking to 40-50 attendees. You will find us upstairs on the balcony.

Come along prepared to answer the ultimate question: Should the pub lunch/dinner tradition be continued? And if you feel it should continue - what format and where?
