Day 2 of mogni and sir_spectre visit the ACT. Today was a much more relaxing day, only travelled from Wagga Wagga Yass. We found abut 40 caches and 16 ad labs. Today we targetted some caches to help with challenges and high D and/or T. Lots of cache guardians were seen, the bulls made me the most nervous. Any caches that needed some attention got it.Thanks to team.wallace from mogni
quick find. This cache was in the 10 km zone i needed for the " The Well Travelled Cacher Vic " challenage. Found with Mogni. Myself and mogni are headed off to canberra on the " I missed the Capital GeoBash Mega " holiday, since last minute family problems came in to play and we had to adjust our plans by a few weeks. On the way over we targeted multi's, wherigo's and puzzles to make sure we had 25 in each or at least close to that total ( or more ) as possible, getting as many new New South Wales LGA's as possible, the 17th most favourite point NSW cache and every cache size in New South Wales. In the ACT it was getting 2 of the 5 oldest letterboxes, oldest wherigo in Australia, 2nd oldest earthcache ( with a side trip to get the oldest earthcache of course ), and ACT oldest cache too. I also hosted a CITO and planned on getting every different cache type i could and eevry different cache size as well. I also needed 9 more virtuals this trip to get my virtual count over 100. Finally canberra was far enough away from from house to complete the well aged well travelled cacher 0 to 1000 kms with a cache every 10 km's ( i only need 7 more caches to complete )Leaving the ACT it was going via Victoria to get there last active web cam cache and slowly getting a total of 20 finds in each LGA i passed through if i had enough time plus also hosting a CITO in Victoria as well. A busy 11 days. Trust me by the end of the holiday you would have thought the 6 meter ladder weighed more than 13 kg's to amount of times it was used or carried up hills or over creeks. If your cache was found with a broken container/lid it was replaced or if the log was full it was replaced or a extra log if the container was big enough ( except for nano's, do your own maintenance on nano's.
Found with bdp, Kimmy533, and drobbonz aka the Roos on our last morning in Yass. Left a traveler.
Got this one. Grabbed some pics.Enjoying a fun filled few days of non stop laughter and caching with The Roos. Many caches (150+) added to our books. Lots of challenges and whereigos. Tftc
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Staying a week or so in Yass, today we headed out after a medical checkup and lunch to tackle a few caches. TFTC team.wallace
Met up with Selva Girls for a catch up and went out for a few caches in the evening before grabbing some dinner. We swung by here on the way back to town. TFTC
Next, echocage1 and I headed to this cache. This is a bit embarrassing I actually picked looked at the outer container and missed the cache, so we searched for quite a while before I decided to read some previous logs. One of those logs lead me back to several objects that I had previously checked. Sure enough, the log was there With our names added tot he log and everything returned as found, we continued on our way. TFTC
Accompanied with ALL7, great enjoyed trip to Yass over night at motel..Good fun TFTC

Yass Kween. TFTC, nice break to find this one and good little run around for our little treasure hunters
After attending the Mega in Rutherglen, we are now heading to Canberra for a few days. A quick stop to stretch the legs and the cache was soon in hand.

After a long drive up here and a selection of challenge caches on the way it was time to enter Yass.
A good way to end the day with this older cache that is holding up well.
Thanks team.wallace

#1241 Good to be back on track with some finds after having a few unfortunate DNFs along the way. Having been into Yass many times it’s about time I came and found welcome to Yass. Turtle and I parked nearby and wandered in over to GZ to make a quick find. Good to see this one lasting over a good period of time. Thanks for the cache Team Wallace
#3100 Finally starting to get some success after some failures on recent hunts, we pulled over here and continued with a little more good luck. Thanks team.wallace for welcoming us to this end of Yass. This cache is holding up well despite its age. TFTC.
Time to say good-bye.... But for us a Auf Wiedersehen or Au revoir or Hasta luego.

A quick find once the GPSr settled and took us to the correct place.
When the weather for today was predicted to be cold, windy with showers we decided to stay close to town and pick up some caches in the immediate area.
Some good hides and tough ones resulting in a couple of favourite awarded and a couple of DNFs was the result.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache team.wallace.

Almost the end of a long day of caching. Or so I thought. Who knew I’d soon be pushing a rock up a hill! Thanks.
A quick find as passing...
Do the neighbours wonder why so many stop here and duck behind the sign and rocks? lol
TNLNSL
Thanks

An afternoon of caching with Nibletricecakes and GLISS! brought us here.
The goal for the day was collecting challenge caches. After these were collected we headed back to Yass to find a few that we had our eye on.
Thank you

We stopped here to work out a quick plan before heading back to Canberra. I didn't have this cache so hoped out of the car for a quick find. TFTC.

A quick and easy find before heading home to Canberra. TFTC O319.
**Our Day**
Today was too wet for us to hike or cycle on dirt tracks so decided to chase WINDMILL data for the Great Aussie Icon series. Late morning we headed out after a good sleep-in.
As we were heading to Murrumbateman and Yass collecting the required information we decided to pick up a few Challenge mysteries, Wherigos and the odd Traditional. However, we only stopped for traditional caches if we passed them on the road. With so many caches to choose from these days we do get a bit picky when time is of the essence as we needed to be home by mid afternoon. The sun ️ came out after lunch so it was very pleasant to finish up in beautiful weather. Another productive day in the office.

Our second find for the day (with the lovely MoonShadow98), and this was a nice quick find in a well-sized cache area. TFTC.
Found with Crafty Dusty and the geopooch Pippa on our road trip to Melbourne from Sydney. TFTC!
TFTC Collecting a few of the easier caches in the cool of the evening Grateful thanks to the CO for placing and maintaining this cache.
Finalf29 and I decided to spend a few days getting off the main highway and grabbing a few of these backroad caches. Having a wonderful time with my bestest buddy.
All caches now downloaded offline!
Of course we rocked it! Thanks

Now that I had finished the Threatened Species Trail I now knew what I needed to get my target for the day (or so I thought). First goal was 100 and if I could 120 was the next (for Project-GC award). I had accommodation booked in Yass but in the end I went to Binalong and Galong to get a good start before heading into town just on dark.
Stopped up the road for a couple but not fun at night. So this was the one I thought I would have a crack with a torch and hoped no one came out of the house. Took a lot longer than it should have - funny what I had in mind wasn't the cache. Log signed and on my way.

An easy park and grab.

Out doing some caching while based in Yass. Nice one thanks for hiding this cache.
Tankengine and I had two important caches to deal with today. TE had offered to help me replace a cache I dropped down a pipe on the way here and he had a mutli in Yass to do so he could clear the town out once and for all - well until the next cache is published here anyway.
This cache: Snuck around the back to GZ and found a nice English afternoon tea tin, made me want to have a cup.

We had decided to come to Yass so that my wife could take the train back to Sydney after the Easter weekend in Tumut. When we got to the station we were informed that the train coming from Melbourne was delayed by an hour. Well, there isn't much to do at the station, so we thought about our options for a few moment. Then I suggested we pick up a few caches. The others were in agreement.
Now, I was sure I had seen on my App that there was a cache directly at the station, and a few more nearby. But my GPSr didn't seem to have those loaded. This one was there, and in hindsight I know why this one had been downloaded and the others not. Suffice to say, I messed up with loading some caches and now I have missed out on collecting those near the station. Next time ...
So we returned to the main road into town and stopped nearby. Then we took a little stroll towards GZ, and soon I was staring at the hiding place. The container was retrieved and the log signed. Then we put things back as found, and I checked what else was within range given the time we had before the train arrived.

Quick find on our way into town. Lovely little spot and enjoyed checking out the horses nearby. Cache #2868.
We are on our way to Queanbeyan Clear Waters mega event next week and stopped here to locate some caches. TFTC. A very quick find by MrGT54.
Welcome to Yass but the container is a souvenir tin from London, UK!
Thought that was quite funny!
A quick find here which was nice, had an interesting story from Dan about his time in the Tourist Information in Yass when they told him the best thing to do in Yass was to go to Wee Jasper instead. I didn't t think there is much to do here and that proves it! Except geocaching of course!

With GreyHams we set off at a respectable but still early enough time with the plan to cache Yass for the day. We both had a number of caches we both needed along the way so made a few detours, caching our way through the still not hot morning.
Between us both we had a number to collect as we drove towards Yass, a few newly published in areas previously cached, park and grabs and a few walks. A very relaxed and enjoyable day, avenged a DNF from way back and added a few more!
The heat in the late afternoon kicked it up a notch but managed a productive day and had fun doing it! Feeling the heat and the long day it was time to head back towards Canberra with a few more caches on the way back. Had just pulled into the driveway when a notification of a new cache came in, perfect timing, tiredness forgotten and it was back out the drive and off to chase down a new cache... funny, but where did that new energy came from!?
Thanks for the cache and adding to the days adventures.
All found okay here.

Today I decided to stay away from PTs so I drove out to Yass to see how many smilies I could add to my tally. I had a fabulous day with no DNFs though at times I came close to walking away from the more difficult finds.
Thanks to all the COs for placing these caches for us all to find. My name has been added to all the logs, though mostly as SG. TNLN. .

Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific. Joint find with TeamAstro. They driving towards Canberra and we drove out to meet them
Welcome indeed. Lots of spiders!
Found on a fun loop to the Nation's Capital and back. A stop here added to the enjoyment - this one had been targeted for a while so it was great to stop the dot burning my screen.
Thanks to team.wallace and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!

Our 3rd team.wallace cache of the morning had us at the welcome sign to Yass. Another quick find in the rain. At least the log was dry... unlike me. Fun times. TFTC team.wallace.
In the area for training with SES and thought i'd take advantage and do a few caches in the area. How could i not visit this one and get a photo of the sign. A quick circle around and cache was soon in hand. TFTC
TFTC. Found without too much difficulty. Had to hide so the passing cars didn't see me!
