Traveled to the Copper Triangle and the Mid-North for a weekend of caching. Drove up via Roseworthy through to Balaklava on the Saturday, on a very convoluted route to search for caches along the way, before heading across for the dinner event at Moonta. Camped out nearby for the night and attended the early morning CITO in Paskeville, then toured the back-roads around Bute to complete The Big Question series with e.gregory1. Spent the rest of the Sunday solo around Snowtown and Lochiel before heading for home. Thanks for the cache Tk2!

Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. After being in this beautiful State for nigh on three months it is time for us to head back home. Staying in Port Wakefield for two nights to grab caches in outlying areas. Up bright and early this morning to tackle some caches in the surrounds. Thanks for the cache.

Decided to head out and do some caches with sixpak69, most of which he had already done however I wanted to turn some into smiley faces. We spent a couple hours driving the back roads before we met up with friends in Port Wakefield to do the adventure lab together.

No issues locating this one today, an interesting tale for this one, signed and replaced as found.

Thanks for the cache placement Tk2 and thanks for the company sixpak69

Was driving past this one and managed to stop here and find the cache. Cache is all good

Today locus cache and I headed north to clean up some caches we missed between Snowtown and Clare and the odd cache here and there. With limited time we managed to get 32 caches whilst dodging the rain.

Thanks for the cache

A nice drive today with Jack brought me here again !

This time around the schoolkids had left a nice new cache to find.

Enjoyed the short history. Interesting to note this school closing in 1880... we're moving into an old school building that was opened in 1880 !!! Seems quite a while ago Cool

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache on our map Tk2

sanitise, exercise, even wear a mask if hayfever season gets to you and
cache all the regions safely distanced at least an adult brown snake's length apart ! ! !

With a recent mtce run by the CO we called past in the hope to change a frownie into a smilie but alas no success on this one but it appears a grader has gone through the site and taken half the shrubbery away, have sent an email to CO as maybe its still safe and we didn't look hard enough till next visit TFTC

Out on a lovely winters day, with an Owl and a Starfish,
Travelling on the dirt roads north bound from Gawler.
A lot of laughs and caches found.
Mrs rat was on a quest to get to 6,000 finds.
A quick find by the merry trio. Tftc

05-Jun-18
Yet another puzzled puzzler's Tuesday caching expedition. Cool Today's crew of brisal5, Mrs. SA Sewer Rats and Doctor Owl set sail north again to where we were caching DNF's recently. Razz Whilst doing that two weeks ago we rectified three DNF'S but added another three to the list. Although we made a lot of finds I managed to add another four to my DNF list! Sad No matter we had a lot of laughs and I added a few unloved caches to my list along the way. [:o)]
Cache quickly located. Smile Nothing to preserve the history except this cache. Onya

**Thanks Tk2 for this cache. ** Big Grin

Day 2 of our girl's adventure and Gral4 and I did a spin around town collecting caches before heading into the wild and retackling yesterdays DNF, some 4WD caches and exploring the backroads for some planetary pursuit caching.

Another interesting day, we encountered mangroves and slippery mud, saw kangaroos, a rabbit, a dead cat [)], a UFO lauchpad [?], an old homestead, a grandprix track, a few trains and big cactus plants amongst other things.

Gral4 did some great 4WDing which meant we could get to some places my Toyota Corolla can only dream about Wink I dropped lots of TB's on the way Big Grin but we also picked up another 4.

Weary and hungry we ended up at Cookies at Two Wells for dinner and enjoyed a very tasty sweet and sour chicken dish to complete the fun weekend. Razz

Traded TB's here. took 1, left 1.

Day 2 of our adventures. This was much more adventurous than day 1. We did a lot of 4x4 driving, up tracks that hadn't seen a vehicle for ages, NEARLY conquered mangrove mud without ending up in it, saw two kangaroos and two sleepy lizards, three trains went past just after we went across the crossings, and we had lots of fun. It was good to get the 4x4 out and use it for what it is designed for, although muggle hubby might not be happy with the layer of missing duco. I have never been confident to use the 4x4 like this, there will be no stopping me now.
Quick find. Swapped travel bugs over .

Firesafe had to do a maintenance run on his northern series and so Honeysucker and I tagged along Wink
It's been a couple of years since we've all managed to cache together and the boys had just as much fun stirring me up as they used to do Razz....... I still say that's the only reason they ask me along Wink
Around the maintenance, we cached and got as far north as Lochiel Cool and so by day's end I had found 17 caches Smile
Thanks for the fun guys Cool although your laughter when I fell down wasn't quite so funny! Razz

Unless mentioned otherwise, please know that your cache and log book was in good condition.

Another interesting history lesson about the schools in this area in the days of old Cool

A day fo mid north caching with Freddo.

An early start and a late finish meant we got a "few".

We read the hint. We looked elsewhere. We reread the hint and we still looked elsehere. We gave up and finally looked where the hint said it would be and what do you know we found it.

Who would have thought?

So it was Easter Sunday and I wanted a day doing the sorts of caches I really enjoy.

I wanted to be taken to great locations and learn some stuff along the way.

What better way to fill that criteria then set my filter to TK2 and include a sub search on 4WD.

So started what for me was a fantastic 9 hour journey over 340 kilometres finding 22 caches with not a single DNF for the day.

WinkThank you Greg you made my day.Razz

Was there a marker for this site because I missed it if there was.
With so many places renamed in the state I was surprised this one survived.

After leaving the Mega Event we arrived in Balaclava for a couple of nights stay.
Today we headed out into the country side north, up & around the pretty pink lake. We passed some wonderful farming land & had amazing views from different vantage points.
When I see a school cache, I know who will be the CO. Every school in this area is represented with a cache.
Thanks for placing this cache Tk2

A bout of Mondayitis inspired Mr M to go caching with Mrs M and a visiting Mogni. A trip to the Mid North was hastily planned. Snowtown recorded the highest windgust in 8 years... and we were probably retrieving a cache at that time. A great day was had despite the weather.

Surprised to find that we were Silver to this one. Easily spotted, but not easily retrieved. TFTC Tk2.
