#825Geomum is holidaying with a friend. We walked to Blowhole Beach and saw that there is a cache further along the track. So we extended our walk to look for it. There was a geotrail near GZ, which lead us directly to the cache. A nice hide in a beautiful location. TFTC!

The views along the coast here are awesome. One of the best walks in SA. I walked here many years ago as a non-cacher.

Dropped a TB that's been hanging around Waite Reserve for quite a while.

I'm giving this a fav point, as I'm glad this dragged me out to walk along this coastline again.

Found but needing TLC, replaced the cracked lidless container with small temp. one we had for our hike food (clean & dry). Slight move to a rock shelter and a bag for the logbook. Hopefully these will be ok until a better container comes along.

Found during a trip down to the scenic Deep Creek Conservation Park for the day after being dropped off at the Cobbler Hill campground and walking the Heyson Trail to Blowhole Creek. A short but enjoyable walk, very pleased I didn't do it the other way round, though. Thanks for the cache voogoofish (RIP) and kieranfunkle!

Jesswrigley and I were staying for an extended weekend just outside Cape Jervis, and today was our first day hiking in Deep Creek Conservation Park. We initially visited Blowhole Beach and did some walking around there, before backtracking and hiking from Cobbler Hill Campground to Aaron Creek Beach collecting geocaches. A massive 30,000 steps walked today!

We searched around for 5 min for this one until I made this find underneath a bush. As others have commented, the lid has well and truly given away, so a replacement container may need to be considered in the future. Many kangaroos around this section, including a small court of kangaroos. Signed logbook and replaced, thanks.

The lid on this cache has perished. There was a small lizard making the cache his home when we visited. Tftc.

By the time I arrived here with a full pack on my back and a number of kilometers under the belt from Cape Jervis I was feeling pretty knackered. Although tired I could always find the energy to search for a cache. TFTC

A big day out with Freddo and Four Fun.

Trees were climbed, one really big tree, bush walks were had, up a really big hill and lots of driving around the Fleurieu.

It was a few weeks ago that Laighside Legends first suggested a trip into Deep Creek in search of a high terrain puzzle final. It was after a bit of persuading we finally found a day with weather that was agreeable with our pursuit and at 9 am we set off. Our first stop was in Myponga to hopefully pick up a cache in a high muggle area that had long taunted Laighside and after a quick find, it wasn’t long before we were in the depths of Deep Creek. After parking the car and finding the obligatory car park trad, we made our way on to the Deep Creek Waterfall trail and we were off. It was a pleasant stroll to gz, though the walk back up wasn’t something I was necessarily looking forward to, as we approached GZ we spotted some muggles, though with Adelaide being Adelaide, they turned out to be Ben’s relatives. Once at gz we navigate our way round the waterfall, making use of the spoiler photos we located a plausible gz and Ben had the cache in hand a short time later, with the log signed and stamped we left the gully in search of further caches. As the hours continued and the find count climbed (excuse the pun) the hills began to take their toll on our weary legs, though the desire to find some much desired caches helped us to push through. It was only when the sun began to dip in the sky and we had found (most of) the caches we had come to find, we decided to call it a day. Though I don’t think my legs could have done that much more walking anyway so this was probably a good thing but not the less, an enjoyable day was had.

Drove the Subie down to Blowhole Beach and then hiked east to find this cache. The niece found this one with ease thanks to the good coords. Signed log.

Another great voogoofish cache, who loved the south coast of the Fleurieu and spent many days around here. Remembered for your love of the ocean and its surrounds.

Found with The X Trailers on holidays here from Qld and earthlight as well, it was a great 4 days with plenty of laughs along the way, this one was a quick find as we made our way to Deep creek in Micks 4WD to get some of the caches that require a 4WD to get to. TFTC

Spend a few hours at the beach today with a lot of walking to come here from the upper parking site and back, and also to this cache and back. So it was good to find this box. Thanks.

After staying the night at Trig and completing the Deep Creek circuit Yesterday, it was time to return to Blowhole beach.
I had been to the beach a few years ago but hadn’t gone east on the Heysen before.
After the long descend from Cobblers and a short hike up we found ourselves at yet another magical spot and, bonus, there was a cache there!

Walked across from Blow hole beach with the kids after walking to there from the top picnic ground. Had to disturb a kangaroo carrying a joey lying down right next to the cache. Awesome views. TFTC.

Parked in the car park and walked into a mob of huge kangaroos. Decided we would change course and walked lower down and around them. Found it easily on a perfect day for walking. TFTC

Beautiful day for a walk in Deep Creek and enjoying the stunning views. Found cache easily just after a brown snake crossed my path. They are shy in nature and it hid itself when it sensed me. Always be observant. Tftc

We found this one the easy 4WD way!

This was our first visit to Deep Creek but I am sure we will be back again.
We walked some of the other trails but ran out of time to do this one.

I look forward to returning another day, walking the rest of this trail and finding the other caches in the area we missed.

No luck with #1. Much more luck with #2. Much bigger fish to fry at our next cache. Dropped off GI Duck TB to supervise things once we're gone. Crikey, podium finish for SILVER. C'mon people, get out there...enjoy! TFTC voogoofish.

A lot more success in locating this one, in comparison to its sibling.

Our descent from Cobbler Hill via the Heysen Trail was nearing the bottom. And you know what that means? Yep, a 200m climb back to the car. All part of the fun and the views today were magnificent.

I wonder why (a statement rather than a question) my GPS didn't pickup the cache there... but thats my bad, should have checked better here thankyou for publishing the other cache though
