Hi UncleSamNZ
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Nice walk to find info & get co-ord info. Checked geochecker & got a green light. Headed to GZ but no luck, have since returned another two times with 4 sets of eyes & still no cache, a few good cubbies to hide but all empty. It's been over a year since last find here......we will wait for news.
More than 4 years after my previous attempt, I had another go at this cache. Unfortunately I ended up with the same result as last time. Sigh.
In the are conducting cache maintenance and needing a few cache finds for our Planetary pursuit..... we duct into the cemetery for this cache......everything worked out well and the cache is in good order..... liked the tour around the grounds on a sunny day.

I'd solved this one a while ago and was in the area so decided to try and find the cache. It always makes me a little sad coming to places like this Once at GZ I thought I'd looked everywhere but the cache was proving elusive... so a quick text to the CO confirmed I was in the right area and a nudge in the right direction had the cache quickly in hand.... but I swear I'd checked that area numerous times lol TFTC!
An appropriate cache to find on Halloween - probably should have done this one in the evening though. It was a beautiful morning to take a walk around the cemetery and had time to look around while gathering the clues. Mrs B managed to get a few good photos of a crow sat on a headstone which in black and white made it very spooky looking. Made the cache find shortly after and it is in good condition. TFTC.
Tracked down the necessary info. And Glad I parked where i did. No back tracking required. So much destruction to old graves. I'm always curious.
Whoopee! Thank you Sam for replacing the cache. So after finishing off stuff around home I decided a nice little drive away from home would be in order and good for the soul. So decided to come here since the cache has now been replaced. (Not sure if a cemetery is a good place to be for the soul) but however, after doing a search in the same place as before, I came to realise I couldn't find the cache!! Oh.. here we go again... this is my 3rd visit I think. So since I had no info with me of the collected data, I had to retrace my steps and make sure I had the correct co-ords. So after another 15 mins I punched in the info I came up with into the checker and sure enough I was right on the money for the co-ords I remembered I had. There's no way surely the cache could be missing, so I went back over the same ground and sure enough there it was.... very cunningly hidden I have to say!
Thanks Sam, I enjoyed the multi the first time round, but at least now I can add a smiley!

No go for me, I spent 30 mins searching for the cache. I used my torch to look in all the crannies, double checked my co-ords in geochecker, searched both sides of both walls.... nada!
Any chance of checking this one Sam? I spent an hour here, not just in the searching, but I really enjoyed finding the places around the cemetery and it would be nice to complete it.

Enjoyed visiting the old cemetary. Made my way around all the way points gathering information. Finally found the final after looking for what seemed forever. TNLNSL Thanks
We were out doing one or two geocaches today and decided to finish off with this nice, touching multi. The closest I have been to here before is the nearby stockcar racing venue so it was a surprise to find such a beautiful, historic cemetery here.
We spent a nice half hour or so walking around the site - the memorial at WP1 is really terrific and beautifully maintained - good to see. Wandered around the other waypoints, also well maintained. The last waypoint was interesting too and explained some details there to the geowife who was unaware of it.
Final was nice and close to the car and not too difficult to find. Signed the log and on our way for the day. Thanks for putting together this geocache and nice to pay our respects here. TFTC.

Back again with Okayness after my previous DNF. Searched & searched some more and finally had a glimpse of something odd and found it. TFTC
Had a wander round the cemetery in the sunshine collecting the required info. TFTC which has helped towards the souvenir and our current GIO licence challenge.
We are all sick as dogs in our family this weekend but we couldn't pass on the opportunity to get a new souvenir for our page and this one appeared to not require too much work to achieve. So we came here today and made our way around. The kids were interested in the headstones, tombs and mausoleums here - it's funny how death doesn't evoke the same thoughts and feelings to them as it does to adults, I guess they just don't comprehend what it means until much older.
Anyway, we found all the waypoints easily enough and then made our way to gz where we had to wait for some teens to walk past with their heads in their phones (we guessed pokemon hunting, they sure didn't look like cachers) then figured our exactly where we needed to be. GPS was a little bouncy under the trees but soon figured out which direction and then quickly saw cache - it wasn't covered at all and in plain sight - surprised it hasn't been muggled actually.
Signed and returned - glad to have our souvenir for Mission GC under our belt. TFTC

We only "needed" one cache today and had found that at 1.30am this morning, but we also wanted to find a muti Called in at the cemetery on our way home from Mt Wellington late this afternoon. Had a pleasant walk around the area collecting the required information then headed off to make the find. Got to GZ and began to search, and search. Covered the whole area several times before one of us checked out something from a slightly different angle - and spotted the cache. Thanks.
This was the final multi needed for our GIO Licence stage2 Challenge! Lovely walk around the cemetary in a light drizzle. TFTM+C!
A great day off work cruzin with the kids. Nice walk around and very interesting. TFTC
Son had a footy game at Waikaraka Park so headed over to the cemetery to fill some time before the game. Wandered around, reflecting, looking and gathering answers for this multi before going to GZ. Seemed to be in the correct place according to the hint so searched but unsuccessfully. Looked at Geo Checker to confirm my coordinates before searching some more. Off to the game but back again afterwards and still couldn't find the cache.
So refreshing to find an easy multi !
Thanks UncleSamNZ......
All safe today !

Went for a little wander after work today. Had to wait for a few muggles to vacate the area before diving into a full search, no problems finding the hide.

This was the second attempt at this cache as last week when we completed all of the stages and worked out the final we didn't get a green tick on the geochecker. I sent a message to the CO who comfirmed I had the correct answer. We were able to go back and complete the job today. Thank you for taking us to a cemetery with so much history. TFTC.
Out grabbing a couple of geocaches during Kiwis lunch hour. After a pleasant tour of the cemetery we soon had all the information required. Scotty was onto the Pink Floyd hint immediately and after a few minutes we spotted something not quite right. Always interesting visiting graveyards and checking out the older headstones. TFTMulti
No luck here today. Checked out all the stages without any problems, but could not find the cache. The hint did not make any sense.
Chose this cache to do on my way south out of Auckland because I love cemetery multis, and this didn't disappoint. TFTC
First cache of the year for me, I actually did all the ground work here a couple of months back but was unable to locate final, back here today but had lost all the info but remembered where I was searching, so this time checked the area again and quickly found the nicely hidden cache.

Collected all the information and continued to GZ. A bit of fun here, back and forth and forth and back. Took a careful search but got there in the end. Tftc
A wet day, but it was nice to be outside! Not to much trouble on the walk but a little hunt before I found the cache at the final! Tftc
Got thd WP answers quickly enough but searched for ages at Gz. Not for me today then even though im sure i was at the correct place. Will try again another day.
Finally I get a smiley face here. I'd attempted this nearly a year ago and come up empty handed and as I had been out with urbangypsynz to pick up some Mangere Bridge caches, I talked her into doing this one on our way home. I knew where the final should be, but we revisited all the waypoints and got the required information before returning to GZ and commencing our search. It was in the vicinity of where I had looked before, I just hadn't quite gone far enough. It didn't take urbangypsy too long to pull the cache out of it's hiding place and get our names on the log
A bonus for me today to add a multi to my finds, quickly found the information and headed to retrieve the cache, said to metlot I would put it here, seems Uncle Sam agreed it would be a good spot because there it was. Thanks for a nice little multi.
Couldn't find this.went over the answers a few times but the checking site kept saying the coordinates were wrong.
This took me and Jin M 2hours. We were right on point but the children coordinate threw us off. Woo!
I've been wanting to do this cache for a while now. Today I decided that a walk was in order and in place I had never been to before.
This turned out to be a nice walk around a rather interesting and nice cemetery. Although I do find cemeteries a bit depressing. Anyway some of the headstones were amazing and it was fascinating reading some of the inscriptions.
As for the final, this was a straight forward find.

Found with Uncle Sam, NZtravellers, Keylev as a group called Sunday Strollers. Great day.
Found whilst out with keylev, cragger and a group of cachers.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Enjoyed this multi. A group of us took a stroll around the cemetery getting the required info while also admiring some of the beautiful headstones and contemplating the sadness of the servicemen and children's areas. Found the final cache and signed as Sunday Strollers for our group today.

A few of us decided to go on a mini caching spree today. This was second one of the day and we even had the CO with us (although his memory is getting a little rusty ).
A nice walk around the cemetery although its always sad visiting them as you know families have lost loved ones - especially the childrens graves .
With so many eyes the cache was soon found at GZ and we were on our way. Signed as 'Sunday Strollers'.

Have updated the co ords, as I now have a proper GPS. But it was only off by a few metres anyway, so well within the margin of GPS error
Nice pleasant walk around gathering info final looked good from clue but same as previous log searched both sides of path and nothing to find would need CO to check final is still in place Lokky 1 15 February 2015 12:54
Out for a bike ride with Sikkens7 on a lovely summer's day. We had a lovely walk around the cemetery getting all the information we needed, then checked and double checked our answers and were sure we had the final co-ordinates correct but spent a long time searching and could not come up with the cache. It started getting a bit busy around GZ so we conceded defeat and headed on our way.
Great sunny day for a cycle ride. Opted to try this multi that had been bothering me on the Montana, but I hadn't researched properly before leaving home. So I randomly searched the cemetery for answers before I realised I could have used the coordinates supplied.
However thanks to random looking, I discovered my great grandfather's rather unique boulder memorial, Captain Sir John Makgill, died in 1906, with a number of relatives subsequently added to the memorial.
So it was a very pleasant afternoon, chatting with other people on the exploration. Many thanks UncleSamNZ for the concept and the pleasurable afternoon.
But I failed to find the final. There's no doubt I had the final coordinates correct. Maybe I'm not astute enough or the coordinates are out a bit. I will need some help or reassurance before trying again.

Spent some time on this one which took us a while to get going. By chance paying attention to what was written about this cemetery turned our interest to the mausoleums. Lo and behold some evidence (a name) was by luck in front of us. And so we began. We finally had all the answers and set off to check for our colorful friend at GZ. Spent some time searching until the cache was spotted away from where we expected just lying there fully exposed in the open. No extraction necessary. As it is unlikely that it should have been unhidden, we found "just another ................" and used it to hide the cache.
Out walking in the area today so decided to tackle this multi. A few people in the cemetery when we arrived and after a few pleasantries we wandered around to collect our info. All sorted for the maths, so then we wandered over to the Final. Took a bit of hunting and just as we decided to leave we found it. TFTMC a very interesting place to stroll around.
It was really quiet today, so I had a nice stroll to collect the answers, but it took a few minutes of frenzied searching to find the cache. TFTC.
Collected all the required answers for the final but a muggle was very close to GZ. I decided to find the two trads close by but the muggle was still there when I came back. Another time....
Second visit to find this one. Solved the puzzle with no. 1 son on 21 April and searched for cache for about 30 minutes until it got dark but didn't find it. We went back today and found it probably one metre further along than where I called it quits last time. Had a time warp and dated our find as 1 May in the log book.
We enjoyed the puzzle part of this one, thinking about who the people and families in the oldest graves may have been and how many years ago they had died, those in the military section and fittingly, just before ANZAC Day, our discovery of the memorial for a soldier who died from wounds sustained during the Passchendaele Offensive.
Thank you for bringing us to Waikaraka Cemetery to find this cache.

Our very first Multi-Cache find. We did not find the last number as the GPS was trying to send us out into the sea, my commonsense told me that this was rather unlikely so we used the clue to come up with the last number and then made our way to GZ to make a relatively easy find.
My 7yr old son found the whole experience in a cemetery quite difficult "I can't cope Mum, it is making me want to cry, all these dead people, I am crying on the inside" luckily then that we were up to number 3 and could move onto the actual hunt at GZ which brought him out of being sad. We placed some butterfly beads into this cache tube in respect for all the people forever at this site.
TFTC UncleSamNZ, I enjoyed this Multi, next time I might leave the kids at home for these

Out and about this afternoon collecting some local caches on my way home from work. Thought I had finished when this one popped up on the GPSr. I had forgotten all about this one. I had explored this area with the Mini Future Finder so was familiar with a couple of the WPs already. No trouble locating the 4 WPs. Check sum was out by 1 digit and I immediately realised my mistake so could correct it on the fly. At GZ for the final I was having no luck so resorted to PAF. This significantly reduced the ever growing search expanse and resulted in the eventual find. I shouldn't complain, I mean 9m out is practically bang on for UncleSamNZ caches! But seriously, maybe a more detailed hint would stop unnecessary tramping and prodding of GZ... Cheers for the cache placement!
Fun to look around the site to find the clues, the actual cache took some effort to find but was nabbed in the end.
Did all the waypoints and got A B C and D and they added upto the correct number but at the final coords I saw the clue but no cache even after a lengthy search. Few other muggles parked cars near final gz.
Beter luck next time

Out enjoying an afternoon caching with Team Welsh. Enjoyed a wee wonder for all info and then after a little hunt as gz out by about 10 mtrs we had a smilie for this interesting multi.
Nice wander around collecting the information, final where we thought it would be but we make final coords out by about 13m which was a little frustrating but we got there in the end.
Nice trip through the Cemetery. I think it took me longer to find the cache than to find the information

A very enjoyable multi - my first look for the final was not successful ut when I gave Mr P the nudge from the CO he went straight to the cache - quick find for Mr P. t4tc
We gathered all the information for this cache a few weeks ago with KiwifruitsNZ, but not much luck finding the final as it was getting darker. We visited the area again today when it was a bit lighter, and after a bit of methodical searching, the cache was soon in hand! Thanks for the multi.
Ghosh, this one had us really stumped. First attempt I made alone thinking it was going to be a simple multi, and actually the multi part was - I really enjoyed my little stroll. However, the find had me stumped. Decided to come back with the whole team and the extended team (Vamber) - still in fading light we really struggled. Determined to find it without a hint we returned tonight and expanded our search area (by 9m) and one meticulous searcher made the find.

I didn't have any trouble finding any of the waypoints or working out where to go for the final location but there I came unstuck. Lots of possible nooks and crannies to search but no cache found by me.
Hi. This is a tricky hide. I will check on the cache during the weekend to see if it is still there or not
This was an interesting multi. I ended up driving as close as possible to each wp, as I left my son who has a broken leg in the car. I must have done about 4 circuits of this cemetery. I didn't see the no entry sign when I first approached, and drove to wp1 the wrong way. Felt sad when I was at the children's cemetery, as I accidentally put those co-ords in as wp4, as there was a new grave, and some family members were lying on the ground next to the grave. Realised my error and found wp4. After searching around the final, I was pleased when my son decided to pop out of the car, as he managed to spot without bending down. I was expanding my search in the wrong direction. TFTC
Like the others we managed 3 out of 4 of the WP's but figured out the final with a bit of process of elimination. Unfortunately the hide eluded us so we had to log a DNF. thanks for bringing us for a wander around this interesting place.
Having completed the initial steps of the multi on a previous occasion, decided to secure this one tonight as it was close to home - and we needed it for our "cache a day" challenge for our Full Licence.
Unfortunately, after half an hour of searching, we could not find it. Confident we had the right GZ - just not the luck tonight!
We will be back!

I had a second DNF visit to this one with less time pressure and still came up fruitless. UncleSamNZ kindly provided some hints and confirmed my final coords were correct. I was still struggling and wasn't even really looking properly by the time my fingers told me I was onto something. FINALLY! Even then extraction was tricky. A better angle and it was finally mine. Thanks for the fun (and challenging, for me anyway!) multi.
Took the parents & Mini McArgister for a walk along the waterfront this afternoon and then Dad (Mr McArgister) & I tried this. All going well until the final. No joy whatsoever and with a waiting Mum & Mini McArgister, had to abandon the search for another time.
Quick wander round gathering the required info then off for the cache which was a quick find.

Got the call up from mike-miss just as I was contemplating my day and with nothing better on offer headed out to meet up with him here. Found FMZ as well when I got here and quickly got down to trying to find the cache. We knew we were in the right general area but couldn't quite crack it.
Revisited an area already searched and finally noticed something just a touch out of place and with that the cache was found. Nice blank logsheet and a good team effort here. TFTC

Came to this new multi cache after the FTF at Magneto. Found mike.miss already here so caught up to him and continued finding the clues. A mistake at one point led us to a GZ that was not quite right, although it wasn't too far away from the correct spot as we found out after correcting the mistake. Evilno9 also caught up with us as well. Took us a while to spot the final cache, but we got there in the end for a joint FTF. FTF #1391 TFTC!!!
Conveniently, these new caches were published after this mornings racing. Probably wouldn't have mattered in hindsight, but i decided to come here first. Chucked all the new listings on the GPS and headed out the door.
Arrived at GZ with no other cachers around and just a few muggles. I was on my way to WP3 (C) when FMZ turned up, so we collected the remainder of the info together and headed for the final.
GZ looked possible so we commenced our search and after about 10 minutes looking, evilno9 turned up to give us a hand. Not having much luck with finding the cache, FMZ decided to head back over to double check one of our digits. Turned out we were wrong on one digit but only changed where we were looking by a couple of meters. Finally, evilno9 came up with the goods! A nice blank log revealed that we were here first so a joint FTF all round. Replaced cache and headed out to Manukau in the hope for another FTF. TFTC UncleSamNZ
