Last day of the fish series , now all complete. Thank God for that. Tftc, sl, tnln.
After finishing off the Geoart with Mr Jackylegs we stopped to grab some traditionals and a puzzle cache. All caches were found quite quickly TFTC clan greenwood
We didn't realise this cache has been archived and we found the cache today. Great cache container and we even changed the log book and left the old log book in the letterbox.

1640 - On the road with Triciac2 from Qld to SA we try to find a cache (or two ) at every stop. Rhyssa6 has joined us now as well for a week.
Having toured the Fleurieu Peninsula, and visited the Cornish Festival, we are now touring the Yorke Peninsula and hoping to add to our numbers.
This was a tricky one and discovered before I looked up from my GPS....

Found with Dutchie1950 and Rhyssa6 while on holidays from Qld. My home town here, so happy to meet old friends. Maiden name of Pat Croser
We had looked for this cache during our previous visit to the area but had been muggled out. We returned today hoping for a quieter visit. We had been looking around for a few minutes without success when a person appeared from the house - the CO had seen us arrive and had come to catch up. With a little encouragement to explore an area that we thought to be out of bounds, the cache was located in a very good hide. After signing the log we spent a few minutes talking to the CO , in particular her excellent rose garden which had suffered in the recent stormy weather and heat. We must return to see the rose garden after some renovations have been completed. Thanks clan_greewood for the cache and for the opportunity to meet you.
Just had hand on to pick up cache muggles came out of house and stayed there looking at us so unable to sign log TFTC
Suscoe was heading northwards today in convoy with Phetlern as our time in Marion Bay had come to an end.
We started the finds at Brentwood, then to Minlaton and then on to Maitland before picking up a couple of caches along the road to Port Wakefield.
It was a sunny day with a good range of caches found along the way.
The roads were quiet today which made for easy stops along the roads and around the towns.
Thanks to clan greenwood for this cache, that's a clever cache indeed.
Hope the roses grow well this year.

Travelling in good company with Suscoe and relocating our base from Marion Bay to Port Wakefield, provided us many opportunities to stop, stretch and add a smiley, or two, to our geo-map. We parked one car & caravan in town and explored the cache rich Minlaton area. Didn't feel under scrutiny today! Images added.
Our thanks to clan greenwood for placing this cache.

First we must appologise for the generic logs. There did not appear to be home today but we did find your clever cache hide.
We came to Yorke Peninsular with Speedmistress who hails from Queensland to cache our little hearts out and this we are doing.
We solved loads of puzzles prior to coming and with all the earth, multi, trads and puzzles there are here we were never lacking in variety.
When we found caches that needed repair we have done our best to do what was possible, unfortunately we have now rum out of spare containers, so no more repairs can be done. We have enjoyed the scenery, the walks, the animal life and the challenges that was encountered while traveling the Peninsular. Not all the caches have been attempted due to time restraints but those have been earmarked for future visits.
We also would like to thank Speedmistress for supplying our geocaching chariot.
A huge thanks to all the cache owners for placing these caches for us to enjoy.

Travelled from Queensland to meet up with Muff1 for a Geocaching extravaganza on the beautiful Yorke Peninsular. Our goal to Cache, Cache and Cache. Each day our "finds" have been growing in number, some days more productive then others. We have also been careful to take time to appreciate the natural wonder of the areas we have visited. A big thank you to all of the dedicated Cache placers who have made this possible.
Hi there clan greenwood.
We found your cache **"Roses & Thorns in the Greenwoods"** at 11:00:00 AM today.
This was our 7th find for the day and this makes our find count 13707.
Penny wanted to go to Minlaton, so our cache run today started at a random there. We then navigated to the one the GPS said was next closest etc, & ended up finding 16 & DNFing 2 today.
Said Hi and waved but didn't get an answer. We awarded this cache a favourite point for the ingenious construction.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** Container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Found with Zobo04, Borisb&Natasha and Bounty Trackers. Heading on our way to The York Peninsula for Easter and to catch up with the rest of our group. Sorry for the late logs life sometimes has an uncanny way of getting in the way. I was busy trying to get in front of KTCvic whom we are meeting up with. So lets get as many caches as we can along the way so for 5 minutes I will have more finds. Nothing like a little friendly competition. Thanks for making our trip fun and TFTC fav point
Found with Gonefishen07, BorisB&Natasha and Bounty Trackers on our way to an Easter weekend on the York Peninsula. We had a great time thanks to all CO's for the fun times. Sorry for the late logs. TFTC
This one gets a fav point.
Geo Nerds Yorke Peninsula caching exposition consist of Borisb&Natasha, Zobo04,De Ja Vu, KTCvic, Gonefishen07, Velocachu & Bounty Trackers.
Gonefishen07, Zobo04, Borisb&Natasha and myself Bounty Trackers left on Wednesday morning with one objective, to get Gonefishen07 cache finding count higher than KTCvic who was about 100 cache in front. We spent 2 days straight chasing caches all the way from Gippsland in Victoria to The York Peninsula in SA, where we finally got 8 caches ahead of KTCvic. The smile on Gonefishen face said it all ( I think the comment was made CATCH ME NOW Trenty ).
Along our journey we made a side trip to Gawler to get the multi Fort Knox cache which was on our hit list. What a brilliant cache. Well worth the detour. It will be getting a favorite point from me.
On Friday Velocachu, KTCvic & De Ja Vu graced up with there presents and it was time to start the Yorke Peninsula Geo Art Starting at Hook then Jellyfish, Fish, Anchor, some of Fish Tales,Sammy Starfish and most of the Boat, we then did Sally starfish, and the rest of Fish Tales and then finished with the leftover boat.
Milestone achieved
Velocachu 500
Zobo04 2000
Borisb&Natasha 2000
De Ja Vu 3000
KTCvic 4000
Gonefishen07 4000
Bounty Trackers 4000
Thanks to all the cache owners for the effects in placing such a great series we just loved it.
A BIG THANKYOU to Kate,Rob,Sioux,Katy,Trent,Leesa,Campbell & Zoe for a fun filled Easter long weekend, I had a great time with lots of laughs, thanks again.

It was with great excitement that I headed to South Australia with the Geo Nerds consisting of Gonefishen07, Bounty Trackers, KTCvic, de ja vu, Zobo04 & Velocachu.
I have never cached outside of Victoria, nor in a group and I was really looking forward to it.
Every single one of us achieved a very memorable milestone made even more special because they were achieved with very special friends.
Thank you so much to the many COs for the time and effort in placing their caches. I'm sure it enables many groups like ours to get together, have lots and lots of fun and form life long friendships, all in the quest for little pieces of treasure.
This was a very well constructed and thought out cache and definitely gets a favourite point from me.

Enjoying the caches in this area especially as out with Doodle Bug Oz, CAD1 and a very enthusiastic muggle driver. Thanks for the hides.
Out with CAD and corunnaroad and our enthusiastic local muggle driver on a wet day - on the lovely Yorke Peninsula. What else could you ask for on your birthday - lots of fun and frivolity! T4TC:)
Staying at Minlaton and headed out with The Drovers to cache the area to Yorketown, PT Vernon then return. We found a variety of caches along the way and this was one of them.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.
Nice to meet the owner while we did this one and it was a very nice hide.

Left Yorketown, and travelled to Minlaton via Port Vincent, picking up caches with Konie.
We travelled some great country roads, and the scenery was stunning.
Even though it was quite hot, we managed to do a few trail and other caches in the area.
Got sprung by the CO while here - very nice to meet you.
We still managed to located the clever hide, a favourite point from us.
Many thanks for placing this cache, clan greenwood, for us and others to find.

Found myself in SA for other reasons this month, and McPhan agreed to join me for the trip back. The main purpose was the Yorke P geoart, but we finished these faster than planned, so had another day just cruising around the Yorke back roads, doing caches like this one.
Thanks clan greenwood for the series.

9818 and 3rd of 33 found today.
We were pretty uncomfortable going for this one until we read the hint. Then it was just a matter of which object was being referred to. No cars at home today so assume you were out. Great hide!
Thanks for the cache clan greenwood and the tween.

Traveling from Yorketown to Kadina today, only 130km by the shortest route, but that's not how geocachers travel it took me all day! Lots of detours and dirt tracks explored, great scenery, and a lot of fun finding caches along the way.
Another good find here, many thanks for placing a cache for others to find [^]

Found it with CherryRose on our 4th day of our 10 days of caching fun on Yorke Peninsula and the Barossa Valley. Loved the hide. I really do quite like a nano. TFTC Clan Greenwood. TNLNSL
Found by Mary & David at 1625. We usually hate hanging around private houses but this one was an invitation. Looking, looking , and what cache notes! Were we seeking a nodding sunflower? Even though we've seen this sort of hide before, it was still a great cache to find. A favourite from us, and we left you a pathtag in your letter box as thanks for all your caches we've done today. Our thanks to clan greenwood.
I had had a DNF on this years ago and I was back today. Fortunately the satellites must have been in the exact same alignment as when the CO took the reading, as the GPS said - "you have to look here". So I looked there and saw something that, in conjunction with the hint, made so much sense that I persisted and there was the cache.
Very clever clan greenwood, and nice to have found it this time.

This time there was no messing about and I was able to access it no problems.

After Sorceysal and I finished the fish series in 2 1/2 days, we decided to head to Maitland and beyond to grab a few more caches in a more relaxed day, without the haste. Tess the geodog also enjoyed the heaps of walks today, and the great variety of hides.
This was a pearler, really enjoyed the search here until..........hang on!

Day 6 of our epic and memorable road trip. After completing the fish series in 2 1/2 days, it was time to head north for a relaxing day, with lots of walks and to find a bike repair shop in preparation for the Rattler Series.

This one had us scratching our heads for awhile before all the clues came together and we made the find. It was harder putting the log back....
Plan A: A weekend to YP with mogni to do some geo-art caching. Of course we just had to stop and break the drive. Okay..time to go to Plan B. Cache till lunch, then go and start the geo-art and finish it in the morning. So after lunch in Minlaton. Plan C: Cache around Minlaton, go to our overnight digs in Hardwicke Bay and up early for the geo-art. We looked for quite a while and then re-read the description and hint. The front door was open and we could hear voices and movement inside. I could imagine the eyes and giggles we were producing. Then after a day of having 3 previous boy looks the caching mojo came flooding back and a light bulb went on inside my head. How about....bingo. Big chainsaw action for me. Thanks clan greenwood. Sneaky little sucker.
Found on Geo hunt drive with desertfox41 from Vincent C/P. Magic day, TNLNSL. Thanks .
While staying at the Port Vincent Foreshore Caravan Park went out Geocaching with Demon41 TNLN thanks clan greenwood
No one was home when I searched for the cache.

Unfortunately I couldn't sign the log as it was full and only had basic kit with me.

It was lovely to meet the CO here, who gave us a hint to find the cache. She then also gave us a hint for Toad Hall which we had spectacularly DNF'd on before coming here.
Might go back for another shot.
A lovely little hide here.

Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia after having attended Oz Mega.
Today we had to move house (caravan) from Coobowie to Minlanton so only attempted some multi's near Coobowie before we headed off.
With very mixed results we hit the road Jack! On arrival at Minloanton we dumped the vans and headed for Point Turton. Having seen some of the 50th birthday clan earlier in the week we were disappointed to have been too early for these caches but a return trip saw us knock these over today at high tide.
After bumping into the CO earlier in the day when this popped up as the next closest we were right onto it. Well the cache did not turn up on the first inspection then Mr iluvtrekking had it in hand [?] Where was that! [B)] [B)] hmm seeing as we have a similar cache at home you would have thought we would have been onto that a bit quicker. Still a smilie is a smilie. A fave from us for sure.
Very nice to meet you and we will surely keep an eye out as we continue to travel SA.

We spent a very entertaining few hours travelling around Minlaton doing caching. This was one we targetted and found. A real gem, loved the clue, fav point alloc. Thanks to clan greenwood.
I was lucky enough to meet the CO and have a good chat turns out we have done a couple of the clan greenwood caches and discussed one we were not able to find and learnt a bit about our gps and found that we were not to far of a gz we had logged as dnf the gps had us in the wrong spot so we will be back to that one soon and see if we can log it with a smile. this cache was a clever hide with a clever rhyme and again our gps had me going in the wrong dirrection but with more thought and a hint i had the log in hand hope to see you in our neck of the woods
Todays journey was from Yourke town to Maitland.
We collected caches along the highway & venturing off to some of the country roads for others.

Definitely a highlight of our caching weekend! A chance meeting of cachers and a new caching friend! Nice job and for this, you earn a favourite point.
The highlight of my day, my 4,000th find in the presence of 4 other cachers (and finding 40 caches in the one day, including a TC). This is caching at it's best, a clever hide with great friends, enjoying the great outdoors. A BIG thank you to the caching community for contributing to a wonderful hobby/sport/obsession.

4 different cachers converged on the front fence and with a happy meeting with a member of the clan, and a little game of warmer, warmer until Trail06 was really hot and he tapped into the cache. The clue means so much more after you have found it. 5 cachers in one spot was a highlight of the day and for this I gave it a favourite vote. Thanks
This just wasn't going to happen. Friends rocked up.
So plan B.
Avon style. That worked.
Very handy to have done the Avon approach.
Some items were swapped and new friends made [^]
Clear skies to clan greenwood from TeamAstro.
What better way to spend an Australia Day long weekend than on a caching safari around the Yorke Peninsular [^]
Astro and I made our way down one side then up the other of the peninsular, finding lots of great caches along the way and enjoying the fantastic weather and scenery, not to mention the roads!
This was one of our finds for the weekend.

Spent 4 days on Yorke Penisnula in attempt to try and clear the map again and once again I failed, looks like another trip is needed.
Most of the time I travelled alone but caught up with locus cacher, CPWanderer, Laughside Legend and Dr Owl on the Saturday.
Clocked up around 1000 kilometres and did some amazing walks with spectactular views. Thanks to all the cache hiders.
Didnt see anyone here this morning. TFTC.

5am...who starts caching at 5am[?] That's get home from caching time!
Apparently CPwanderer starts at 5am and so we left my house at that time, locus cache'd all day and returned at about 12.30am the following morning after a tally of 47 smileys
Picked up Laighside Legends and then met up with firesafe and Doctor Owl and family at Warooka for a laugh filled, scenic adventure in the bottom of YP and Innes National Park.
Having never been this far down YP before, I was constantly amazed by the gorgeous scenery and views on a warm day filled with blue skies and even bluer water [^]
firesafe had headed off elsewhere to stay overnight after eating tea with us, Doctor Owl had left us after the Inneston series and we were headed home but I had one more cache that I wanted to do! Just one more!
I have had this on a watchlist since it came out and enjoyed seeing the logs rolling in because I had a pretty good idea of the style of hide from the day of publishing.
Finally got to test my theory tonight and luckily it was even before 10.30pm!
Yes, LL, that torch flash was deliberate and achieved it's desired goal....someone emerged from the house so that I could leave a PT for the CO

Found It!
As we were on our way home from Innes NP CPwanderer volunteered to show us where this cache was. We got to GZ, found the cache and all was going well until locus decided to shine her super bright touch straight into the window of your house! So out comes someone to see what all the fuss is about and thankfully locus gave out a few pathtags in exchange for waking you up!

Found while staying at Wool Bay for the week, heading off each day to find a few caches on YP. Today's aim was to find all the new caches in the Minlaton area. Got sprung by the cache owner while trying to dismantle their Xmas lights but other than that we had a good chat before locating the container in an object I'd been suspicious of all along. Thanks for the cache clan greenwood!
Found with messy61, mishap60 & tashap57. Luckily the cache owner appeared from inside he house, otherwise we may never have worked out how to retrieve the log. Thanks for the help, and thanks for letting us know of the new caches hidden at Port Rickaby.
Found on second attempt. Cache owner came out for a chat and told us she had just released some new caches at Port Rickaby, so off we went the following day with Double Helix Clan and got all FTFs. Thanks Clan Greenwood!
Was apprehensive about looking for this cache.
My GPS took me to a verandah which definately is not a good sign unless you are inviting people in for a coffee!!
Knocked at front door and met this friendly cacher who gave us a hint.
The Xtrailers were quick off the mark to locate.
Left a pathtag for the CO.
Nice meeting you by the way.
Took trackables to visit.

Gps had us way inside the property which we later found out was the cache owner home
Knocked on door and asked if we could enter
Stood chatting about caching for about 10 minutes before going in search of the cache
No need to go past the fence line to obtain the cache
Loved the idea
definitely a favourite for us today
Found with Earthlight

Have been going to look 4 ages but with phone challenges--thanks 4 ur help. Very creative hide. TFTC
Located with AussieM&M. No real dramas as this type of hide is an old favourite. Was great to meet the cache owners!!! Thanks clan greenwood for the explosion of hides in Minlaton!!!
CPwanderer arrived back in Oz from his US adventure and decided that a trip to the Yorke Peninsula was in order. We decided that it would be nice to join him picking up the few that he hadn't already completed. The sun was shining, the snakes were slithering, and the caching was fun. All is right with the world. We ended up with 62 finds without a DNF, and only had to phone a friend once.
This one was interesting. A nice poem pointed us in the right direction. A bit of a punt by Mrs M and the cache was soon in hand.... and then out of hand as Mrs M dropped the log. Now the real effort was getting the log back, but we managed it. CP suggested that we introduce ourselves to the CO and we gifted a couple of pathtags (we couldn't get them into the cache container). TFTC greenwoods. Favourite Awarded.

Searched for a while but didn't find. Felt a bit self-conscious hanging around private property. Might have another look some other time.
We were fortunate to meet clan greenwood and also claim the FTF. Like the execution of this so a favourite from us - possibly the first of many? TFTC.
GZ put me at the front gate. I had a bit of a look around but didn't find the cache and there aren't really that many places to look. There was a guy down the road watching me so I didn't hang around long...
