Did not find.. has been a shelter built there in recent years so would say it was destroyed in construction.
A great hide in a beautiful park, lots of of great events happening here during the year and today was a great day for a Sunday afternoon ride, so we made the most of the last day of holidays with some riding and geocaching.
The container is almost nonexistent. Happy to help maintain it if needed.

Got away for a night so we could do a hike that happened to be in the same park that Jay Wetherall was being carried out of on a stretcher. We saw all the emergency vehicles and had no idea what was going on. Anyway the hike was good, only damage was I dropped the iPad and busted the screen. Found lots of eclipse tins and one medium size cache. We had fun exploring our old stomping ground.
Always best to make the most of it in all circumstances.
Thanks to monkeysandus and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!
I was working nearby so on a break I came to the park for a look. Nice hide. TFTC
Very cool find here. Thanks add fav
Day 9 of BarnZy and Cravo’s trip from Perth to Adelaide.
Today we left our accomodation on Warooka, a little later due to chasing some FTFs on the Yorke Peninsula late last night and one even into the early morning.
Our plans today was to complete the last of the Gone Fishing trail and travel via some of the country towns of the Yorke peninsula on our way up to Port Augusta where we are staying tonight.
Had a great morning getting right into the rhythm of powertrail caching, and managed to knock over the last of the trail in relatively quick time given we were a bit weary from the last two huge days on the Peninsula chasing some massive numbers.
Overall a great days caching, we really love caching in the country towns, travelling the highways of the country. Thanks to the local COs for their hides.

Geocaching around the Southern Flinders. Hasnt this town developed over the last 38yrs. Thanks for the historicasl trip. TFTC. This one was tricky, tin is gone but logbook is still there. There is also no TB.
Bit of a wander with Purrfect Di, muggle Alex, Sebastbat and Jack today.
First time past here muggles everywhere.
Returned in the dark and quickly located the neatly hidden log. Signed and carefuly returned.
Thanks for this cache monkeysandus

On our way home after our trip to the Port Lincoln area and picking up a few caches along the way to break the journey. We camped overnight in Port Pirie and picked up this cache before heading off the next morning. The GPS had us all over the place without luck, then Mr Pooky widened his search after re reading the description and bingo, he soon had the cache in hand. No Muggles around today except for a lady who came over to tell us that she did tai chi under the shelter on a Wednesday night and there was also power in the shelter for any activities we may wish to run. TFTC and brining us to this great little park. TNLN.
GZ was hard to find with a bouncy GPS. Found cache after a few minutes - very well crafted. Thanks for the lovely hide.
Unique hide in this area! Good placement. Didn’t take too long to find which was great! TFTC
Damn Muggles!!... out in force!.... A great evening to be out and search for a couple of caches, and did enjoy discovering this one....nice one!....TFTC
Left early for a caching day with CPwanderer
A perfect day to be out & about caching
Grabbed on our way back after dinner.
Not seen one at this length before,
thanks for the hide & cool spot Monkeysandus

Day Two of our long road trip to Central Australia and we were off to an early start. We decided to stop in Port Pirie for lunch and found this nice park. Of course, also checked to see what caches might be nearby...
This one took quite a while to find, no clue could be seen until we had that 'Aha!' moment. Then the cache revealed itself.
Nice hide and mechanism. Might borrow this idea for our own hide near home that is constantly being muggled. TFTC

Bus in for a service so a great opportunity to take the bike out for a cache. Tftc
Honestly haven't the slightest idea where this one is, didn't spend too long on it as there were many muggles, will hopefully come back soon
A weekend away with my hubby. Decided to come up here to Port Pirie and spend the weekend caching and also relaxing in the hotel. Great camo, enjoyed the hunt. TFTC
Staying at Port for a few days after visiting Alice, Uluru and King's Canyon. Keen to do some local caches.
The GPSr lead me a bit astray due flakey signal (thats my excuse) however with a council muggle mowing lawns nearby I manged to spy the hide and in between the mower passes I was able to do the business unobserved. Great cache. TFTC monkeysandus. F.P.

A very cleverly concealed cache. Only discovered due to excellent coordinates, and Muggle Hubby's eagle eye.
Only able to be retrieved because it was pouring rain and the area was Muggle free.
I must confess I was distracted by playing Pokemon here when I discovered it was a Scyther spawning ground. I was definitely making the most of it, and I caught three whilst my darling was finding and retrieving the cache.
We dropped the Blue Stoner trackable here in the cache, along with another well deserved favourite point

Team ICE on a two week geocaching trip in Australia. Our main target was the Red Centre Experience at Alice Springs but of course we did some caching in other places too. We drove from Adelaide to Alice Springs and then back. We saw lots of interesting and beutiful places like opal mines at Coober Pedy, Ayers Rock and Kata Tjuta. Our rental travelled almost 6500km on gravel and tarmac roads. The weather was great, only on last day we got some rain.
All the caches logged as Team Ice, T-ice or Tice with kapeka, laalaa and Hiltsu. We had a great trip!
Today our trip continued from Port Augusta to Port Vincent. On a way we visited beautiful Weeroona Island, spend some time at Port Pirie, visited Moonta's himalayas and found many caches on the way.
Thanks for the cache and greetings from Finland!

Found it with TICE [Hiltsu, J&T, kapeka & laalaa]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in Australia ( South Australia and Northern Territory ). Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and huge country!

Hi there monkeysandus.
We found your cache **"Making the Most of it..."** at 11:17:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 16056).
Our trek today took us around Port Pirie following the "next closest" route plotted by the GPS. On our trek we found a variety of container types. We ended up finding 17 caches with 2 DNF's.
Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels. We awarded this cache a favourite point for its ingenious construction.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** There is no container here, just a large snaplock bag.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

###Trip to the *Red Centre Experience* 2017###
Unfortunately, half of our team is home-based due to work commitment, the other half is lucky enough to be Alice Springs bound, in the company of Team Indiana08. Therefore, for a couple of weeks, our team will be attending some events and possibly finding the odd cache in different states.
---
When we came to this place today it was deserted. This made retrieval and replacing this cache an easy affair. We can imagine that at other times this bustling with activity.
Loved the hide, thanks for your effort!

Have booked into the caravan park for a couple of nights. We sure need it with the outside temperature of 45degrees.
After arriving we did some caching in the town area before returning to the caravan for lunch.
In the afternoon we headed north to Weeroona & then home by Scenic Drive. A great tikik tour of the area.

i have tried numerous times for this cache, but to only walk away empty handed due to eithir muggles. or not been able to find it, but tonight with the help of dennisc52 &ladyloopy that has changed.
i do love the dual attachment system, and i might have to copy that idea.
i do love the dual attachment system, and i might have to copy that idea.
Determined to find it, I returned tonight for a second look with Chrispy89 and Loopy1972, and found it finally. Nice hide! TFTC.
TFTC geocaching with SwagHo. We are discovering Australia one cache at a time. Holidaying from Canada having great time
Very clever hide, I loved it. The GPS reception was understandable dodgy at GZ, but that really added to the difficulty. Once the hide was located I was very impressed by the ingenuity and the boldness of the hide. It obviously works well and I gladly signed my name into the log book. Well done. This was the last of my finds today and probably my last in Port Pirie for quite a while. Up until this find I had thought that all I was going to find in town was mint tins and canisters tossed under a bush. I had in the back of my mind that Port Pirie was going to just be a place that I could build up 10 finds to get a Fav Point that I would award somewhere else. But, on the very last find, I was proven wrong and I gladly award this hide one of my fav points. Well done.
I have tried this one several times before and have given up either due to frustration or time restraints. Today I decided to think as Mrs Sandalwood Cottage would think and after eliminating a couple of likely places, stood back and took a good look around and thought now where would I put it.......Bugger me there it was. I was sooooooo over thinking it. Here is a Fav Point for driving me crazy with this one. TFTC
3LG and I are caching our way to Whyalla to catch up with The X-Trailers .
We have several days in Pt Pirie to cache as much as possible.
A quick find and thank you for the history of this area.
It is many years since I have travelled around this area.

Clever. Have seen one similar. Only one attachment point in place, don't know where the other goes so replaced as I found it. TFTC
Quite a search and quite the hide. A well deserved favourite point coming your way, TFTC
It has been a while since we have done some serious caching so we decided to head north with earthlight for a few days and meet up with The X Trailers in Port Augusta as they pass through there on their journey homeward bounds to QLD and cache along the way, we have set up camp in Pirie and plan on grabbing a few of the local caches around the area, a nice quick find for us. TFTC
Spent the afternoon and night in Pirie after 5 weeks touring the West and North. There has been a proliferation of new caches since I last stopped in town. TFTC.
Another one that I am glad to have found. Last time I was limited to my looking and muggled out. Today it was very obvious and a quick find. Thanks
Quite a few people around or perhaps we where just looking in the wrong place. Will be back as this one sounds great.
Went home and thought about it. Got the better of me and had to come back. Needs a little maintenance, tin is gone and bag is starting to get a few holes. Thankyou! Great spot. Sl, tnln.
A very creative cache and it was the highlight of my day. A lovely area for a great cache.

Nice hide! Quite big and nice park, it was totally empty at Sunday afternoon! Thanks for the cache.
Very sneaky! GPS was leading us astray! But my fiancé found it right before giving up! TFTC found with philthy decisions
On a road trip around SA in summer. It is BOILING. Decided to sleep away the afternoon in the aircon and then go geocaching at night around Port Pirie. Temps still above 30 but milder without the searing sun. Found this one by torchlight.. and only just found it. Needed to read past logs for hints and ended up finding myself balancing on a large pot plant to make the find. The bag around the log could do with a replacement. Thanks for the tricky hide
Another great find while on holiday in the area.
Took quite a while to finally locate this one.
Thanks for the fun!

I was making the most of a day out in Port Peeree today
So why does the rest of the world call it Port Pirie ??
Anyhoo, here I was hanging around in the delightful surrounds of Memorial Park
A lot of muggles were hanging around too !!
As I approached GZ, something magical happened ...
... the muggles packed up their morning tea, and en-masse ...
left [:o]
I was left feeling a bit lonely, as I looked around for a cache of a size befitting a good twenty or so pots of Darjeeling !!
Where could the cache be ??
Pretty obvious really
But try as I might I could not reach any of the possible hid3y holes.
Not even on tippy-toes
I found a device that gave me an extra two-feet of stature, but that did not help
OK !! I'll ignore the GPS and head for another spot with a ready made climbing frame
That worked a treat and in less time than you can say "Cha Waller, bring me a cuppa..",
I had the cache in paw [^]
TFTC !!
'Tis a good hide, a little wide of the mark

After being introduced to Geocaching this week I went out with my family for the first time today. The kids loved it and we had a great day. I have no doubt we will be hooked. This spot was the last visit today and it was getting late and we where running out of time. We didn't find it, the kids didn't want to give up but we will be back. I've sat here thinking about it and I have some ideas where it might be. Cant wait to find this one.
Too sneaky for its own good. Loved it. Deserves another favourite.Tnln, Tftcsl.6/06/2015 12:28 pm Find #769
with Limbage .... the best and favourite hide out of 30 finds today ... should be more of these tricky hides had us going for a few minutes ... thanks for the hide .. good one .
KarpyKarpyson and I embarked on a sweep of the Port Pirie region today. 30 caches in total for me. Oh boy! What a brilliant cache! Absolutely marvellous! We loved finding it! TFTC Now off home to Kadina!
What a busy spot for a cache we needed to come back hours later and finally found it ^^
Really clever ! Well done TFTC

Oh yeh! After a visit to Pirie to drop some forms, and a coffee and "Pistacchio Bomb" in a local eatery, it was time to depart....but maybe we'll just check this out before we go....with so many favourite points it must be good. And it was!!! Great hide With some nicer swag inside. TNLNSL
Geodad is up here for work. I had finished work & had just finished setting up my new room. It was time to head out & look for some geo's. This was the second one for this afternoon. I really liked this one. It was a really good cache. TFTC
