YES I am coming, just collecting the cacher whom actually has proof he has more than SPACE in his chest cavity!
Start the launch without us.
Seating is downstairs.
See you soon.

Unfortunately, we had some issues with a terrestrial transport vehicle this morning that has set our mission back. This will prevent our involvement in the event, but cache on regarless. Thanks Huurtle for organising the event, and we hope to attend the next one. TGPH

Thanks to those cities space cadets whom came to lunch.
A great feed as usual, and great company.
Stay tuned for the next instalment, maybe a city dinner instead of lunch, by a well known fishmonger!

Another great Pub Lunch event in the city. A good feed as usual and good company to talk lots of rubbish about caches and how to solve those insolvable puzzles.

Thanks to the "Space Besties" for organising it, and it was create to see a certain safe fireman back in action.

Attended a fine lunch with some great people. Met some new people, and put some more faces to names.

After lunch, I headed off with Mr Honeysucker and Mr Firesafe, to the 2nd of 4 possible suburban event caches today here in SA.

07-Nov-13
Lunch with the high-ranking officers of the Geek Army from Down Under plotted the imminent deployment of Operation Grenouille. Thanks for the event Huurtle!

Managed to get out of hospital in time and chauffered to the Event by Hurtle. Even though ordering early, I got forgotten about but it was made a bit better with free drinks until the meal arrived. Good to meet some new cachers. 1st of 4 events for the day. TFTE. Big Grin

I'm in two minds about attending this event. Attending will only add fire to Groundspeaks 'look how many cachers were involved' shameless self-promotion, albeit one person isn't going to make much difference. You can already see the shameless self-promotion with their blurb '...over 1 000 events to celebrate ...'. The other side of me, the social butterfly, wants to come along and say g'day.

It will probably be a toss of the coin on the day that decides the matter.

05-Nov-13
Sounds good

05-Nov-13
Looking forward to attending.

Might I suggest this be a little earlier, then we all can go to Flipper and Co's event for the actual launch.

18-Oct-13
This is a Lunch Event, defeats the purpose to be earlier just so a cheap smiley can be got?
Besides, isn't Flipper's Event at 1415? This one starts at 1200, so plenty of time to travel the 10km north?
Many cachers work in the city, so getting to Flipper's may be an impossibility anyways.
It isn't about being able to go to both, it is about cachers being able to go to at least one on the day.
I heeded Groundspeak's suggestion about listing events, and ensured this didn't clash with another.

Great minds must think alike as Astro and I were organising an event at the same time and place. Big Grin

Clear skies. God speed. It feels good. [^]

I as thinking even an 11:30 start. No matter 12 is fine. Smile I should be there, but will have to leave earlier so I can catch a bus to Flippers Event.
