Out with Lokky1 for the morning. Even though it has a couple of dnfs we decided to give it a go anyway. No joy.
We couldn't find it!! So winded today but it hasn't been found for 3 months either. Will try again on the walk back.
Great size cache to match the view. Strong Plastic bag commitment there too. Took the TB. TFTC
Nice hide. Took a trackable, will place tomorrow when my son takes a friend caching.
Wandering around this great hidden gem of a reserve early in the morning after my flight landed earlier in the day. Once at Warren's level this was spotted just within arm's reach. Two TBs inside but I've left them for someone else to pick up. Nice view from here. Thanks!
After work this evening I went for a short walk along the northern section of Tuff Crater to find a few caches before heading home. Felt a bit exposed here in front of the office, so did my searching by eye, rather than fossicking around, and actually spotted the cache fairly quickly. Dropped off 2 TBS. TFTC!

Thanks - my third find around Tuff Crater on Good Friday. Was a little surprised to see my name already in the log from 29/03/2016, when I've never been here - looks like someone moved the log from another cache!
took a moment to find this one - especially with staff at noel leeming having full view to GZ
large container, wet & moldy inside, might need a clean-out sometime
Grabbed TB - TFTC

#502 Working Saturday to complete some paperwork. I work in one of the close by building and I know that during the week this cache is overlooked by the Noel Lemming offices. Would be very had not to attract a little attention with them there. Today being a Saturday, no such problem. I actually had to come back to this one as I didn't find it the first time. After re-reading the description it was a little easier.
Signed and dropped off a TB.

Took in the views for a moment before finding this one. Had a few muggles go past before I could retrieve it.
We came to the Tuff Crater after another visit to Sherrie's sister in North Shore Hospital this evening. We had a look for this one without managing to find it, so walked on to find Tufft. Stopped for a second go here on our way back, checked a different location to previously, and this time located the cache. Thanks.
So... many thanks to our valiant geobuddy Goober24 who sacrificed her bottom, we found this one. Lol.
I took one for the team and got half the tree in my pants. Main thing is we got the cache!
Out and about collecting some of the local caches while in the area with tmann421.
Another nice find.

Had a day off work - so decided to take advantage of the good weather to grab some caches. This was stop one of 13. Cache was soon spotted - but how reach? Some contorting & stretching resulted in cache soon being in hand, log signed, and a quick replacement now I knew how to do the Tuff Stretch
Nearby premises were empty today, so we could enjoy the view and contemplate where the bridge across the crater will be one day.
Rain has eased so a quick hunt for a couple of caches was the order of the afternoon. Nice walk down to GZ and a quick retrieval of cache. GPS telling us a TB was there but on initial inspection just lots of water balloons - closer inspection found a rather rusty forgotten about TB sitting in the general dampness. It has been retrieved and will be cleaned as best we can. TFTC
I got within 50m of the GZ along the walkway but after seeing a possible site I knew it was still a way off. GPS was spot on for this one and nice to be rewarded for my scramble into the scrub. Picked up trackables. TFTC
My GPSr had me going in another direction, but I finally found the cache. Left: "Little Marvine Peaks (CO)" Green Jeep Travel Bug. TFTC.
Had passed this one on my way to the earlier caches but saved it for the way back to the car - turned out to be a good call as GZ was dead quiet and the cache was soon found nicely tucked away. Nice view from here - TFTC
Nice one to end the date - some interesting contents and a nice view of the crater. TFTC.
I had a bit of free time during a work visit to Auckland today so decided to head a little north of the bridge to find some caches. These Tuff Crater caches were the first ones I came to. Some were definitely tuffer than others to find. Made hard work of this one. Over thought it for a bit and then had a better look at my surroundings and there was the cache. TFTC, Biggles.
Got it. Was a little off track with the temporary fence there at present but soon found it. Thanks.
An after work excursion, to the outer reaches of Tuff Crater, was heading for the furthest away one, but soon realised, rush hour traffic is not the best time to do this. So settled for this one instead. Lots of building going on around here. But managed to admire the view and recognised the container quickly. SL. TFTC.
Found originally as part of rebel98 team, now created own account, re-logging as rustynz
One of the easier finds of the day, nearly at the end now of this epic walk. Thanks again for the hide.

Stood taking in the views, looks like the Warehouse is in expansion mode. Luckily no one working today, so site all to myself. Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.
Out for a walk this afternoon collecting some caches along the way. I came in via the embankment so had earlier stood down where the proposed footbridge would be. Another quick find here. Cheers for the view!
Enjoyable evening stroll around the crater, quick find for this one TFTC.

Quick find. Could hear the music from a concert on the other side of the harbour. TFTC
Our find #2999!!
Didn't think it would be so difficult to find such a big container. A couple of volunteers were coming in other direction and stopped to pick up rubbish at exactly where our gps read zero so just as well it is hard to spot. NINO TFTC

This one had me going in circles (actually more linearly considering the trail) for a while. Yep, I've seen that container before. Good to see it put to use. Sorry to say, I still need to plant mine somewhere--I have some ideas though. Cheers for the cache.
Started looking over there, but in the end it was not there, it was over there. Glad to find it as was running out of places to look. TFTC.
Last find on this circuit and glad to be heading back to grab a drink or two. Thanks.
Recognised the cache container (now where have we seen those before???). Nice quick find by Ryan and back down to the low road and homeward bound. Nice to come back and walk this trail and it will be great once the bridge is built and you can actually do the circuit. TFTC
Almost muggled by two sets of muggles, the 'old were hot need a drink from the bottle' on this hot day did the trick. A nice large cache for some swaps so swapped TB's
A quick hour caching before rushing home to finish off the holiday preparation. Yahoo for the cache.
Builders nearby, so needed the stealth cloak on, walked right around the crater today, now one more cache and the walk back.

Tuff Stuff indeed. Was out here a couple of weeks ago but the weather was good which made for another pleasant walk along Tuff Crater. Sussed out the hint after finding the cache. TFTC.
Pretty bad weather today but just dried up to dash down and get our cache of the day. Bag that had the pen in it was wet, but the log was fine, recognise this container tftc
Can't wait 'til they put this footbridge in so I don't have to keep driving to all of your caches Glyn!! TFTC no worries with this one tonight.
I was going to wait for my grandkids to turn up after they had been to the Farmers Santa parade but when their mother texted me saying they were going to be a little late I decided to hotfoot it out to here. I wasn't certain what the hint meant until I got to the GZ. Very sneaky.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
I couldn't make any sense of the hint, but it didn't matter in the end as I found the cache practically straight away.
FTF!
A month or so ago I wouldn't have got the hint on this one but since finding a few from the CO with a similar hint since then I knew exactly where to look for this one at GZ!
Opened up the cache to be greeted by a blank log which was a little surprising given its reasonably accessible location.
Thanks!
